Atlantic Reach Resort & Leisure Club: Opinions
Negative experience: Absolute disaster from the moment we got here ,booked and paid for a hard standing ,as we are a extra large motor home ,they put us on a grass stand ,so we got stuck in the mud ,wasn't put near water ...they didn't have a clue so we cut our stay short and went home according to the site if you book through pitch up it's pot luck what you get so if you book with them check what you are getting .
Negative experience: The first thing you smell when you arrive is marajuana, as the staff/owners seem to be smoking it constantly in thier on site caravan. The hardstanding pitch was sharp flint gravel, not good for tires. But the hardstanding was only a caravan wide, the rest of your pitch is just a slippery mess of mud from over usage. I had to buy a tarpauline just so that I could get 3ft from the car to the caravan without slipping and breaking my neck, let alone trailing mud everywhere in the car and caravan. The toilets are cold, awkward shaped plastic seats which could be easily cleaned... yet are stained with permanent urine and fecies around the rim. The toilet cubicals are also so narrow you have to shuffle down the side of the toilet to actually get in and out. On top of that, the toilet paper dispenser is awkwardly positioned, so you have to lean to the side in order to sit on the toilet. Very narrow! The showers are disgusting! Ancient yellow grime and gunk on the walls and floor, as well as brown stained curtains. There is also very little room to get dressed and the shower it's self takes ages before any hot water comes through, so you have to either endure the ice cold spray or get your dry gear wet. The shower and toilet block also has no doors and the lights are always on, so it's full of mosquitos and other insects drawn in by the lights. There are very few bins on site, so they are always brimming full. For some reason they don't open the gates during the week, so you have to drive the long way around and go against the one way system. If you arrive during the week, you will likely be confused and frustrated by this, as the chap next to my pitch was. He said no one bothered to answer the phone either, so he had to drive to the leisure center to know what is going on. The grass is poorly maintained and quite long. The elec hook up is shared between pitches, which is a common thing, but for some reason on this site the hook up post is right behind your neighbours pitch, so you have the discomfort of sneaking around the back of thier unit. There is little lighting around the site, so it's very eary at night along the roads between the campsite and leisure center. The gym is open to the public, so you get a lot of daily traffic on the site from dusk till dawn. The site is too close to the main road into Newquay and dual carriage way, so you get a lot of late night boy racers and bikes making a racket, as well as trains passing early morning hours. Plus they are expanding the site, so you get woke up by diggers and dumpers driven by the staff too. All in all, a very unpleasant campsite and experience. You will get little rest and joy here. Oh and even though they say you must have insurance and a spare key for them to hold... no one ever asked for either. Lazy half assed operation as a whole
Negative experience: First house was so dirty complained and they moved us without apology. Second house was better but soo discovered we had mice. They wanted to move us again but we refused. The manor pub which is on site has really nice food and staff are really nice too. Swimming pool was warm for kids and they enjoyed it but no lifeguard on site. Cafe on site was dirty too. Wouldn't return unfortunately it could be so nice but all the houses need upgrades and TLC
Negative experience: Stayed here many years ago in a cottage and was a very positive experience so thought we’d book campsite, what a disappointment. Staff very friendly and helpful is the only positive. Hardstanding pitch mostly grass and mud with less than 1/3 hardstanding. Showers and toilets and communal facilities tired and in need of replacement. Expected much better for cost of £53 per night - in fact usually pay £30-40 per night for much nicer facilities and pitches. Road full of potholes. Very large self catering site but no shop to even buy basics! Definitely will be driving straight past to stay at a nicer site next time we come to Newquay on holiday.
Fantastic experience: Great gym with a good pool, friendly staff
Negative experience: Not good at all pool was Dirty we've hair in the in door pool out door was dirty the shop u can not bye your day to day things. The camp site did not have much to do the food from the pub well over price and food was not nice. Would never go back
Fantastic experience: Only went to see water slide brilliant fun well manged friendly staff café on site serving snacks an coffee nice place to visit will try the laser tag next time..
Positive experience: Clean house, very well equipped, delightful setting, ample room. All you could want on a holiday sight. Well priced.
Negative experience: £20 quid (£13 to wash-£7 to dry) for clothes to still be wet.
Positive experience: Only been here 2 days in our touring caravan. Nice place. Loads of room. Plenty of things todo with the children. Will do a full review once holiday finished.
Positive experience: Arrived Sunday with family, looked really nice. Then we went to the shower block, awful and very dirty.Shower curtains were disgusting Then was told there was another shower block.Alot better and clean.Me and my daughter in law needed to wash towels etc, cost us for 2 washes and a dry £30 quid.Thats day light robbery! The park near us was for tiny kids not my almost 8 yr old grandaughter, the soft play was a no no too.She said im not 5..So we was very dissapointed with the site, plus they cram you in so you dont have much room.We could hear peoples conversations! We left 2 days earlier then we should have..On the plus side, never seen so many shooting stars!!
Fantastic experience: Great campsite the toilets where always clean, great size pitches and lots to do on site. Really quiet site we stayed boardmasters week as well so area was busier than usual but managed to get out and about with out a problem. 100% will stay again
Fantastic experience: Amazing camping place for tents, have all the facilities which are extremely clean. Totally recommend.
Negative experience: Was not happy with the customer service i received from this site. They were 1 very unprofessional on the phone and 2 never called me to advised they cancelled my holiday. I only knew by ringing as i wanted to add an extra night. Its a shame but this has put me off going to this site ever.
Positive experience: This is a lovely site. What would make it even better is: -Some sort of evening entertainment -Not having to book to use the outside pool -Being able to open the conservatory doors when it's hot
Negative experience: If you want to go on holiday to a social housing experiment and learn how to survive depression, this is the place for you. If you like camping next to a main road and you are seduced by the smell of ketchup and chips then this is your place. £65 per night for a camper van is daylight robbery. My 10 year old son said “ have you gone mad bringing us here”.
Negative experience: I had a terrible experience, moved rooms because of a leak another room was spiders and smelled disgusting wasn’t properly cleaned, I’d won’t recommend this place for anyone
Positive experience: First time bringing out caravan down to Cornwall, and what a beautiful site we chose. Plenty of things to do, including swimming indoor and out, mini arcade, mini golf, parks, picnic areas, dog walk, slip and slide, gym, soft play. They also had a cafe/pub, a restaurant, takeaway pizzas and a small on site shop, which came in very handy, and wasn’t stupidly priced. The toilets were kept clean, and they had a family room which was great for our 11 month old to have a bath. We opted for the fully serviced pitch, if you get sick of emptying your waste master then this is perfect We had the hard standing pitch, which was good but if using a motor mover, the jockey wheel doesn’t really like it. Very large site and would highly recommend especially with children! The booking system to book the activities is a great idea for keeping it from getting over crowded, however the booking system could be easier and have a memory so you don’t have to fill it in every single time, or being able to book at the reception would also be ideal, also the pleasure pass cards would do with being a bit better than a price of paper, as we was worried about it getting ruined or lost!
Positive experience: Stayed here recently and the house was clean, functional and comfortable. One down side was the approach road on site. If you value your vehicles suspension, drive slowly as the potholes are numerous and deep!! Didn't use the on site facilities so can't comment. The site looked like a little tired but was a perfect base to explore beautiful Cornwall.
Fantastic experience: Location brilliant for easy drive into Newquay and surrounding beaches. Staff have been friendly. Can't comment on rooms as we have been camping.
Fantastic experience: Lovely family site with lots to do. 2 swimming pools, gym, pub on site Nice layout of pitches with large shower & toilets nearby. Shop on site sells bits you might of forgotten and sweet etc . I must not forget the yummy cornish party's x soft play available for younger family members.
Positive experience: Just visited for the Slip n Slide. Great fun for kids of all ages...even up to age 56 . Feeling it today though. Well run and as safe as it can be.
Negative experience: Firstly I would like to tell that the place was amazing, rooms were clean and nice. But the only things that made me give a really bad review was the quality of service and professionalism. A. No bathing towels were provided and even the toiletries weren’t even provided. Hotel staff except one guy was utterly rude; especially the middle aged woman who would deny at every point if asked for help. No basic services, rude staff and charging for everything including all activities even after paying 700£ feels like a scam. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Positive experience: Arrived within the agreed check in time of 3pm - 7pm. Greeted by a man on a quad who took us to our camping pitch. It was very nice grass area with electrical hook up point. Only downfall was it was right next to a 4m high hedge so as the sun set, it set behind the hedge so we lost the sun first out of other campers and it stopped us seeing the sunset. We set up our camping chairs in a nearby field on the last night to be able to watch the sunset. There were a few activities on site but quite pricey and not a long session for the price. For example £8 each for 2hrs in the outdoor pool. Lots to do nearby. We went to two National Trust estates, Trerice and Lanhydrock. Also Oaisis Pool was another good half day out. Visited 2 different beaches, Fisteral and Newquay beach. All in all a nice 3 days away and just £100 for 3 nights camping.
Positive experience: Cottages a bit tired and mattresses really not good. However helpful staff and great location for exploring Cornwall. Good facilities on site and very dog friendly
Positive experience: Reasonable, but the wouldn't provide a second key even when I explained that two couples needed to bd able to go out separately at times during the week and would need to be able to get back into the accommodation at timd when the other couple were not around
Fantastic experience: Nice for new power ,energy, chill ,for family or just like that
Negative experience: Stay Away Have to say extremely disappointed in our overall stay. When we arrived we we placed in a cottage that had a foul musty smell and sofa covered in what appeared to be dog hairs. The bedroom furniture was in dyer need of been binned as the laminate was badly peeling and literally hanging of each piece. If this was not bad enough start the next door cottage to us had 2 large dogs, I am all for catering for pets, but these were large breed dogs that were loose and off their leases. The owner did not have control over 1 of them as it chased me down the road and would not adhere to its owners return command, to say the least there was no way I was staying there with young children as this was extremely unsafe. I decided to go to the reception to request a cottage change and the guy there was extremely friendly and understanding so moved us to another. The 2nd cottage appeared to be in better condition at firsy however on further inspection this was not the case, 1 of the children used the upstairs bathroom and fell as the seat literally fell off as she went to sit down. both of the double beds were extremely uncomfortable and need replacing, place just feels and looks tired. The cottage floors were a nightmare especially the upper floors when children were in bed the creeks and unevening of the floors are actually ridiculous i nearly myself broke my ankle when i went down in a dip at the end of one of the most uncomfortable double bed. The downstairs floorong was no better to be fair. However what really got to me as we had a young baby we wanted to hire a cot, which is an added option on their website by the way the cot did not come with a mattress, but I was advised that a double duvet could be given instead which is absolutely ridiculous. When asked as to why a mattress did not come with the I was told that the property do not take responsibility for a child's safety but yet they think a duvet would be less harmful for a baby to sleep on!! Shocking... It only gets worse. As you are literally in the middle of nowhere and need to get a taxi to leave the resort due to an A road right outside, even just to go to a shop which is a 5 minute drive away if you dont have your own transport you need to organise a taxi and as all taxi companies are based in Newquay itself the cost of this trip was 20 pound each way! so it literally cost me 40 pound to get to a shop that was a 5 minute drive away to get some essentials as this facility was not availible in the resort even though their website promotes a bar, restaurant and shop facilities on site however these were closed Monday to Friday due to non peak season even though the majority of cottages in the resort was occupied (this resort is not in Newquay, so this is a misleading fact that they promote on their website)
Fantastic experience: We stayed in one of the bigger houses. It slept 9 people easily with plenty of room. The facilities like outdoor swimming, indoor swimming, gym, tennis courts, football pitch, bar, laser tag, crazy golf and amusement hut for kids were excellent. It was a 15-minute drive from Newquay and other stunning beaches. We will definitely be back for another great holiday.
Positive experience: We camped for the third time last weekend as a group of three families. We got a local deal which is fantastic value for money. We use the site as a base and head off to the beach during the day. Upon arrival we checked in and headed to our pitch - it wasn't the location we were expecting/ told we would be on and the older gentleman was quite rude when I tried to explain this. Pitches are a good size and we booked with electric hook up. It also came with water at the pitch - which was very handy. The toilet / shower and washing up facilities on site are very good. They do get a little messy - but I feel this is more due to unruly children rather than the site being at fault. One major negative that has had a significant impact on our last two visits is noise in the night. The first time there was a large group (of families) who were very noisy until way past 11.30pm. This time we had a couple of families in the field next to us where the children were out playing loudly until 10.20pm. We have young children who were extremely tired by 10pm so we tried to get them to sleep - they couldn't sleep due to the noise. I really feel that the noise curfew should be bought forward to 10pm as a minimum (rather than 10.30pm as it currently is). Or perhaps one of the fields could be designated for bookings who would like to be a little quieter? Other than that we had a fantastic stay and will be back.
Positive experience: If you’re after a good value place to stay not far from Cornwall’s best beaches in the north and south then this is a great location. The houses look a bit dated from the outside but we found ours to be lovely inside, very clean and comfortable. Go for the ones that are bigger (painted different colours on the outside). The outdoor pool was very inviting but absolutely freezing and not heated, given it was 25 degrees during our stay we’d have loved to have used it more but it was just too cold to spend much time in it. The staff are friendly but keep interactions to a minimum. No welcome pack/explanation of much but no matter as we figured it all out ourselves. The pub was shut apart Thursday to Saturday which was disappointing but we were out a lot so this ensured we made the effort to eat off site every day. Nice cafe. No shop onsite sadly. Tesco and Morrisons nearby though. Overall a good self catering base to explore Cornwall, not a full resort offering in our opinion but we enjoyed being out and about and then just coming back here to sleep and use the hot tub we had with our house.
Negative experience: check in service for the camp site is questionable. They changed the field that we booked without prior communication to us. Only informed when took to our pitches. We Tried to change pich numbers but was informed would cost us £25 admin fee despite they changed our field without communication. We stayed here 3 years ago & the facilities were excellent, however on this visit the facilities were rundown, outside pool looks like it could do with a good clean. The Mason Arms had a good aray of local brewery drinks 3 years ago, however now the choice was Spanish larger which was disappointing. The food choice was limited & overpriced. We only ate there once. The toilet & shower facilities however were of a high standard. Cleaned regular & replenished. Due to our pitch location & lack of onsite entertainment, we decided to depart early.
When possible, we try to assign people to the areas of their choice, however we sometimes need to allocate specific areas based on the booking needs of our three camping fields. We are glad to hear that you found the camping facilities clean and of high standard. Outdoor pool has been full of families having fun today, you can check out our facebook post to see it sparkling in the sunshine. Your feedback about the food and drinks will certainly be taken into consideration by the chefs and kitchen staff at The Manor Arms pub. Our resort is full of fun activities when guests are back from spending days out exploring the best of Cornwall. Included in a Leisure Pass is the swimming pools, mini golf, tennis courts, arcades, outdoor play areas, and activity trails. Plus Slip and Slide, Segway and Laser Tag are all on site offering plenty of fun for the whole family.
Positive experience: A family of four with two children found the pitch was a good size and not too overcrowded, allowing the children to play without worry. The toilets and showers were very clean, with a cleaner seen at least once a day, sometimes more. The location was good, never more than 30 minutes from places we wanted to visit. The only negative things I found were that the men's toilets could do with an update; they were clean, but two leaked, and the other two doors didn't close properly.
Positive experience: We stayed in a house which was ok but the person who handled the booking was very rude and they were expecting us to clean each and every corner of the house.
Hi Mushtaq It sounds like you didn't book an Atlantic Reach holiday. All the holiday cottages we manage for guests that book direct always include a full housekeeping and cleaning service. While we ask our guests to leave the property neat and tidy as they found it, they are never expected to clean every corner – that's our job as part of your holiday booking. So its always best to book directly with us. However, some properties are privately owned and managed independently. Could you please send us a private message to [email protected] with the details of your stay? This will allow us to pass your feedback on to the owner.
Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful weekend camping at Atlantic Reach. Happy and helpful staff, spacious pitches, ample and clean facilities, a host of fantastic leisure activities to keep the kids entertained.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful place. It has almost everything except a convenience store (if you need anything, you'll have to drive 10 minutes to the closest supermarket). Swimming pool, gym, and surrounded areas cater for families and dog owners
Negative experience: Dated, not much to do outvif season. Can't use facilities unless the lodge is affiliated with leisure company or your not from Cornwall.
Positive experience: Nice GYM, some machines need to be replaced cause they are very old. I love what they’ve done with the waiting area/new cafe.
Fantastic experience: The only thing missing was a welcome pack, explaining when things were open on site and what was available. We had a great week and the house was lovely. The plastic utensils were rubbish they just kept bending, no good for mashing potatoes
Fantastic experience: Joined the gym Just before Xmas. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Asked for guidance on some of the equipment as just never seen it before. Good gym with plenty of space, loads of classes and plenty of equipment. Haven't used the pool but always looks popular. Obviously has busy and quiet times depending when you go but never too busy so you can't get on the things you need.
Positive experience: The resort building is clean. The facilities are great. The pool is great and worth a visit. I was looking forward to getting a coffee while I waited for my EV to charge. Staff are very helpful and great visit. Sunset was great, my photo doesn't do it justice.
Fantastic experience: Members camping weekend 10/05/24 -12/05/24,Great weekend swimming, tennis, slip and Slide and to top it off quiz night full of fun and games.the staff were excellent ,well done Atlantic Reach
Fantastic experience: Great place, very neat, clean and tidy rooms!!! Wonderful staff as well..... I loved the indoor pool&gym. The downside is it's not very accessible by public transport because where the bus drops you off,the main road has no footpath near it for one to walk on to get through to the Resort.
Fantastic experience: Went on a family holiday camping here. Good prices for camping in the summer holidays. Had an indoor and outdoor pool which is useful depending on the weather. Both free to use for guest staying on site. They have a pub and arcade area also to keep kids entertained and there a slip and slide company on site which is chargeable but did look fun. Camping facilities are great. Nice and clean and modern. Perfect for camping and only a short walk from must of the camping pitches. Hot showers, toilets, and pot cleaning facilities. They have a laundry washing and drying machines on site also which can be handy. Only a 15/20 min drive into Newquay and also to too far a drive to pass tow and other areas.
Fantastic experience: Very pleasant tidy site. Nice little family run cafe in reception. Will definitely visit again.
Negative experience: I deeply regret staying here. My spouse and I have been here for a full four months. The Killiworgie Lettings employee, Ron, changed the property we were staying in three times during our stay. Despite having paid the full month's rent, he informed us just one day before that he had rented the property to someone else and that we needed to vacate the house four days early, without arranging an alternative accommodation to compensate for his mistake. Throughout our stay, he took 3-4 days to respond to our messages. Despite paying £1550 per month, we were not allowed to use the pool in the property. One of the properties we stayed in was filled with spiderwebs, and I'm certain that no one, including a cleaner, had entered the house for at least 6 months. We had to clean it ourselves. In another property he forced us into, there was no WiFi. We waited for three weeks for a WiFi order to be delivered. One day, he messaged us and said to pick it up at house X at a certain time. We went to the specified location at that time, but the person there had no knowledge of it. Hours later, Ron responded to the message, admitting his mistake and providing the correct house number. In summary, it was a disastrous experience. Last but not least, as a reaction to the privacy of our personal life, the cleaners enter the house without prior notice.
Fantastic experience: We’ve just got home from a great few nights camping. The facilities were really clean, constantly being cleaned throughout the day&eve. We had no problems booking into the pools. The on-site pub is good, what you’d expect from a pub within a campsite. Everything was winding down with the kids going back to school. But we still had a great stay. We will definitely be back!
Positive experience: First time staying here and was grateful to be staying in an actual bricked building as the weather was not great during our stay. Stayed in 2 bed apartment with hot tub and on the whole it had everything you needed apart from a comfy bed! The first night was that bad I ended up sleeping on the sofa so the next day we all headed out to buy more quilts to try and pad them out a bit more but you could still feel the springs. Hot tub was well maintained throughout by staff which we got plenty of use out of and the towel pack that came with it was an added bonus. We also paid to have the kitchen pack for ease. Everything on the whole was a little tired (and some of the spot lights have a mind of their own turning on and off again) but as we had read so many negative reveiws just before coming we were pleasantly surprised on the whole. Another negative however is the parking. There just isn't enough for everyone so people tend to just park anywhere and everywhere which makes for a interesting exit and noisy environment. Location wise it couldn't have been any better for us as we always end up around Newquay area. Didn't really use any of the onsite entertainment other than the slip slide which was an added cost but well worth it as was so much fun! Service on arrival was very welcoming and friendly but this is the only time we saw staff as we didn't use the onsite pool which can be booked via a QR code that is given to you on arrival. If it wasn't for the beds (they REALLY were that bad!) I think we would have looked at coming to stay again as we visit Cornwall every year but we have all left looking forward to getting a full night's sleep
Negative experience: Great area for tourists , however the cottage we have stayed at lacked in cooking facilities, toilet seat was broken was caused my son to hurt himself. Neighbours were complaining about children making noise absolutley ridiculous. Personally wouldn’t return to this holiday park.
Positive experience: Stayed here as we were visiting family so decided to make a holiday of it. Arrival - We arrived after booking our holiday and seeing some of the negative reviews ready for poor service and not a nice site. I can say it was quite the opposite. Natalie in camping was lovely and welcoming and the guy who takes you to your pitch also very friendly. Our pitch was right next to the park as I had requested on booking to be there. The site was not noisy on a night, odd person walking past as you would expect. Natalie also got my sister booked on last minuit and got her pitched close to us which was brilliant. The pool - booking system was not a problem like I had read about, you just scan the QR code you are given and takes you to booking page, once details have been entered it saves the info for next time. Availability was good. The pool does not have a life guard but this is stated throughout the building. It's communal changing femails and males are separated but take easy clothes to change into so your not flashing everyone. The Manor Arms - staff polite and food was lovely, it's good pub grub and not expensive. Again I'd seen negative reviews but people need to remember it's not a Gordon ramsay restaurant. The food was lovely tho a lot better than i was expecting due to previous reviews. I would of liked entertainment as we didn't have the best weather so evening entertainment every night would of been good. It was wed and Thurs only and the 1 on Wed was not very good at all, it was like bad karaoke. Negative points - the only negative reviews I agree with is the site needs some updating. We would of liked to play crazy golf but it was not playable it needs recovering as the liner on the holes was all coming up and would ruin the game. All in all we had a good experience and I think some reviews are a little harsh.
Positive experience: Visited from 14/08 till 20/04 with my family of 4, we are from London and drove up to Newquay. We decided to leave late due to check in only being from 1700pm, which we found was a little late and a waste of a day. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lady with short blonde hair, very helpful and gave us all the information we needed! We stayed in a two bedroom garden terrace which was located at the bottom of the park, we could drive our car close to our room and park it there. Parking was only useful if you arrive early, after 1900pm was a nightmare and would have to park near reception to then walk down in pitch black to our rooms. We enjoyed the facilities in the park, the outdoor and indoor swimming was great, we had no problems with booking system very easy to use. We also went to Laser tag, the blonde guy was very fun and explained the games very well! Our room wasn’t great, the carpet had an odor to it, there was dead bugs in walls and floor on first night of arrival, there was dust everywhere, the tv remote didn't work and was broken, we asked for a new one and maintenance advise us by the time he orders a new one we would of left by then. Which wasn’t helpful. The sofa was so uncomfortable as the padding is worn out! There was also scratching noises coming from the bedroom walls at night, we had no neighbours at the time so that was weird, we thought it was mice but didn't see no droppings anywhere. The toilet was very clean but the water pressure in the loo needs to be stronger. We had a chance to visit the cafe for some drinks, we were greeted by Anya and Brandon - super cool staff. Recommend us some beaches around the area, great directions from Brandon and Anya makes the best rum and coke! Would we be back? Probably not, the price we paid for the week wasn’t worth it. We would definitely come back to Cornwall but stay somewhere else.
Negative experience: I booked online while i was on holiday but when i got there i wasn’t allowed to swim because i wasn’t ‘living locally’ and they also wouldn’t issue me a refund when i asked, if i had to live locally to swim then the website shouldn’t of let me pay for the swim session, i even emailed and asked for a refund and was still refused one. The fact you have to live in Cornwall just to swim is quite discriminatory and disappointing for my kids.
Fantastic experience: Great place nice showers , personal touch with taking you to your pitch . Only thing that's not great is the swimming pool booking, especially outside pool when your not sure what your plans are for the day and just want a dip.
Hi Ruzsss Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Our friendly camping wardens will be chuffed to know that you appreciated the personal touch getting you pitched. We have 100’s of places available to book a swimming session in our two pools every day during the summer. We’re sorry that your booking experience didn't go smoothly on this occasion.
Negative experience: My 4th visit but this time very disappointed booked using a private let 8 berth home (excellent by the way) but no entertainment of a night (which wasn't informed of) with having a 8 &10 year old was the main thing that attracted us to the resort but nothing don't think I'd be returning which is a shame used to be a great place to holiday
Hi Stephen We appreciate our loyal customers and love to see familiar faces return for their Cornish holidays year after year. Your praise for our colourful four-bedroom cottage is much appreciated. We’re located here in the heart of Cornwall where our guests can easily get out and explore the best of the nearby beaches and landmark attractions. We also have plenty of activities for all ages here at our family-friendly resort. Our guests can enjoy the outdoor play areas, tennis courts, mini golf and arcades, or make a splash in the indoor and outdoor swimming pools! Along with the biggest gym and daily fitness classes, we’re also home to action-packed adventures including Slip and Slide, Segway and Laser Tag. During the summer weeks The Manor Arms pub hosts occasional live music nights too. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more information. We do hope to welcome you back in the future.
Negative experience: Ignore the website this place is so run down, plenty of people who we spoke to when we were there said they would not return, the place needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard and is not worth the money which we paid for it I'd say it was just about average, we stopped on the Watergate area, the men's toilet was just a shed with two urinals two showers and two toilets and one of them was out of order the last four days, not even a proper soap dispenser, just something on the sink, ignore the dispenser on the photos it was never full, the washing up area is topped with roadstone totally inaccessible for anybody in a wheelchair, the elsan point always blocked up, and as for the dog walking area it is right at the end of the campsite towards the entrance, it isn't even fenced off so if your dog was too slip its lead it would be right next to 60 miles per hour Road, even getting to the dog walking area there isn't a footpath you have to walk along the road with the cars coming in and out of the site, the owners of the site need to start spending some of our hard and money which we spend camping here on the site, saying all this the staff on the site were very friendly and helpful if we needed anything, they deserve a medal for what they put up with because I can bet you they get a lot of complaints.
Hi Wayne Thank you for taking the time to leave us your detailed comments. Our wonderful maintenance team work hard to keep everything running like clockwork throughout the busy summer season. We’ll be sure to let our camping wardens know how friendly and helpful you found them. It's a shame there were elements of your visit you feel could be improved on. We continuously inspect our facilities to keep them in the best condition for everyone to enjoy. Feedback like yours helps us keep improving.
Positive experience: We attended the slip and slide. Whilst enjoyable and happy friendly staff, it was very basic and muddy. The changing rooms had blown away the preview week, but we were able to use the camping shower facilities a short walk away. 2 slides seemed to have more water powering down, which were more beneficial to riders using body boards. The other 2 slides had less water and 1 seemed to have a ridge near the top, which if you came off your body board (some younger children did as they had not perfected their launch) could be quite painful. You have an hours worth of riding time which is great if the sun is out and the wind is low. We found it a little long in the cooler rainy weather. Obviously water and a field creates mud. They had tried to combat the paths with fake grass and rubber matting, but the mud was winning and so it was all up the stairs (which did have grippy strips) to access the slides, this did make me a little anxious for my children in their excitable state! Overall, we were glad we did it, and we all enjoyed our rides, however it would have been a more pleasant experience should there have been a little more tcl to the area, and further cautionary procedures in place. Not expensive and worth a visit.
Hi Louise Thanks for your detailed feedback, we’re so pleased you enjoyed your rides. We’ll be sure to pass this information on to the team who run Cornwall Slip and Slide based here at our holiday resort.
Positive experience: We were greeting warmly on arrival however our booking confirmation stated that you couldn't arrive before 3pm and that you may not be admitted if you do, well we saw several people arriving well before that time, some as early as 11am! Very annoying as we would have come earlier if we'd known it wasn't a strict rule and made more of the day. Feel that 3pm is too late a checkin anyway!! The booking system for the pool (both inside and out) was not great and you could only go at certain times, not like other campsites when you can go along whenever. I understand it for the indoor pool but not outside. The outdoor poor was pretty shabby to be honest. The campsite states that there should be no noise from 10.30pm onwards. Unfortunately, this wasn't adhered to by some inconsiderate families, children screaming well after midnight. Never saw any staff on site apart from when they were showing people to their pitches, maybe more of an evening presence may deter this!! On several occasions there was no toilet paper in the men's toilets and the men's toilets in the watergate field were not very pleasant, my husband said that the showers were right next to the toilets so you could hear what was going on during you shower! The toilets and showers however were very clean. All in all, an ok site but we wouldn't return.
Hi Jane Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Our friendly camping wardens will be chuffed to know that you appreciated the warm greeting when you arrived. All our camping guests will be shown to their pitch between 3pm and 7pm on the day of arrival. We cannot guarantee earlier check-in’s as we need to prepare the pitches properly for everyone. However on the day if an allocated pitch is already vacated it may be possible to pitch earlier, but not always. We have 100’s of places available to book a swimming session in our two pools every day during the summer. We are sorry that your booking experience didn't go smoothly on this occasion. Thank you for bringing the other points to our attention, we have discussed them with our management team to improve in the future.
Negative experience: Hi we wanted a holiday on site so the kids could use the pools but you have to book online and there was no Internet unless you walk up to reception and try get online but the pools were fully booked, so we had to keep walking up to see if anyone cancelled their swimming session. I have a bad leg so wasn't fun for me, when we found out the kids couldn't use the pool they moaned the whole time wouldn't stay here again, everything closes early. So we couldn't use the facilities we had paid for not good.
Positive experience: Very friendly staff, but not a lot to do on site. The pools were fully booked, but they were not full. Only entertainment Saturday and Wednesday eve.
Negative experience: THIS holiday park really need to SHUTT!!!Big money for nothing, the shower is very dirty and very slippery , the toilets are broken on the male's side, outdoor pool disgusting and no one can use(close),indoor pool need to book in advance, only in the photos looking nice park ,on the pitch space ,water togheter in the same place with electric(its not safe)people washing pots and pans ,tent spaces not to bad( big) but only u can set up how the owner want it(our was in heavy soft ,watering ground(becouse was raining day also windy day )and only we can set up how OWNER want it!!!! He not nice person at all!!! Also chicken around campsite, every morning 5am or before start sounded!! Dog poo on the GRASS, for young kids is nothing to do,arcades broken!!! In the Park on entrance no barrier it's not safe all car's running true to the park.
Negative experience: The photos were exaggerated. Everything is smaller nothing for older kids to do arcades shut at 9 pm. pub looked nice but didn't even stock cranbury juice. Barmaid was odd one minute loud and nice, and then her personality changed to moody. wood I stay again definitely not only good thing was how clean the toilets were clean and how friendly the lady cleaner was.
Negative experience: Camped in our van. Got moved from the original booking and was told how to position the van and awning even though there where high winds. You had to book the pool and when we got in there it was packed there must be no limit on the amount of people allowed in the pool? Changing room has nowhere to leave your stuff The place seems very basic we stayed there 12 years ago and it seems like nothing has changed since then the food in the pool cafe was limp and greasy we left after 1 night to book in to a hotel after New vango awning snapped some poles not there fault but there was not alot to stay for and I glad we did leave the Monday morning
Negative experience: Stayed in this resort for a week and is only fair to say is one of the worst places I have ever stayed: 1 Pungent smell from the room 2 Outdated facilities by decades 3 Broken and unsafe equipment 4 unprofessional ,and unapproachable staff that would not hesitate to lie when asked questions while trying to intimidate you. 5 Managers not available when needed to talk. 6 Too far from anywhere if you need milk or to go to beach. 7Must bring your own TV ,Fridge ,shower and sink to wash the dishes that nothing works. We spend a fortune on mobile data and food going off as refrigerator would not work and WiFi completely absent. Guess what when asked we were told it stopped just now when in fact didn’t work for 7 days we were there and from previous reviews seemed that it never did. 8 The tragedy with the little boy that drowned in the pool was beyond shocking while I am not blaming anyone was shocking to witness. Avoid if you care about your finances and are looking to have a nice holiday.
Positive experience: It’s a bit of a drive from the beach, but it’s cheap and cheerful and the rooms are clean. The tennis court is in poor condition and the ball just bounces in all directions, the pool isn’t monitored, they expect parents to look after their children but they don’t. I took my five month old swimming and people were jumping in from all directions, throwing water on my baby, chucking footballs around, using massive water guns that were so powerful they knocked my daughter out of her baby swim ring! The changing room is shared with nowhere to change a baby so you have to lie them on a hard bench with their heads being squished between the slats, (my baby was very upset and I imagine it was quite uncomfortable/painful for her. Unless you walk back to the house in your swimming costume, you have to get naked in front of strangers to get dried and dressed and coming back from the swimming pool, the signs for male and female are up high above the doors and you don’t really notice them, so men were accidentally going into the women’s changing room and vice versa. The cafe and pub were closed most of the time. The washing machine cost a fortune for one load, (I don’t understand why they can’t put washing machines in the house), I think we spent £40 odd quid on about one full laundry basket load, which would cost about £2 at home. The Hoover didn’t work at all. The toaster was broken and when we tried to use it it tripped all of the electricity in the house. The sign that tells you were to go to when you arrive takes you to a caravan and tent area and not to the rental houses, so we ended up driving about for ten minutes before finding our way to the office where you pick up your keys. The telly downstairs doesn’t work properly and there’s hardly any signal at all. There’s one tiny tiny telly in the en suite room and no tellys in the other rooms. There’s no wifi and I used all of my data and then some to get the internet for watching the telly because the signal was so bad we plugged in a games console and watched films on that instead. When I went to the gym area to gain access, I wasn’t allowed in for about quarter of an hour because I “wasn’t on their system and the room we were staying in was marked as empty.” It turned out that they had given us the wrong house and we weren’t in the house we had paid for! There’s a games room with 2p pushers and driving games etc. which is good, but you have to get money from elsewhere because there’s no cash point there and nobody ever mans the change desk. We were looking forward to going golfing but we didn’t know it had been closed down for tents and caravan space. It’s not awful but it’s not great. It would be good for families with kids between five and twelve maybe, but we won’t be coming back
Fantastic experience: It was great and the laser tag was good fun with the help of their staff (James and sky) topped of with a kind welcome from pablo who was great and a very laidback dog and was also child friendly so thank you to the wonderful members
Positive experience: Overall a good place for a nice summer vacation. Calm and quiet mornings during the day there is a ton of activity either at the actual resort or around in the area. The house itself is not that amazing but it’s good for getting some rest.
Positive experience: Tent pitch big. Strong electric that didn't trip once... always a bonus. Grounds quite run down need a good today up. Lots of uneven pathways. Food was nice in the Manor Arms. Not much selection though . Also had breakfast in the leisure centre part. Was average but pricey at £10. Swimming had no lockers, also no private changing room. Pool warm though but lots hairs floating around. Noisy neighbours in tents till 1am... (not atlantic reaches fault though) car needed to get into newquay and supermarkets etc but wasn't a problem. Lovely hot free showers in the fistral field. Clean facilities. Would visit again as we got a very good deal £60 for 3 nights camping
Negative experience: The house we stayed in was nice, no problem there. Decent enough location, not far from Newquay at all but you’ll need a car to get to any beach. The indoor pool is small and has to be booked ahead. The outdoor pool is not heated and V cold! Very little in terms of facilities, but the laser tag is fantastic. The whole site looked a bit tired and not so well looked after. I don’t think I’d return.
Positive experience: Our room was really lovely and modern, though some are not all to this standard. I found having to book the indoor pool and giving 2 day notice is a bit of a pain. Especially as we were only there for 3 days so we didn't get to use it. No supermarket on site either. We will still return as its a lovely place to stay
Positive experience: Welcomed onto site by 2 lovely people. And even shown round to our pitch. Site is in a great location! Perenporth and watergare Bay only 10-15min drive, both have beautiful beaches. Level ground for parking caddy van and can pitch an Awning next to the van. They have a dog walking area (all though not enclosed) where u can let your dog off the lead. And plenty of bins around the site. Indoor swimming pool on site, and we actually had the whole pool to ourselves (might have been the time of year). However it needs updating as the tiles are missing in multiple places! Outdoor washing and drying facilities came in very handy for us after swimming as the weather changed as wasn't able to put clothes out to dry around the tent. This was expensive, but was worth it for us. The site was quiet after around 10pm, so we slept really well. Food from the cafe wasn't great, it tasted like the oil needed changing about a week ago. We had a breakfast one morning and didn't bother going again for the rest of our stay. The showers in the campsite were warm and powerful, but not much room to then get dressed after as the cubical is very small! The shower cubicals were always covered in sand, so unsure how often they were cleaned. The shower curtain was grubby all along the bottom. It looked like they were building some new toilet/shower blocks so hopefully they are designed better. Overall the site needs updating! The pictures on Google are not what you will see on the actual site!
Fantastic experience: Came here for three nights to work at a food festival. Amazing resort, we booked a flat for three nights and it was an amazing stay, very comfortable. Would definately book again for holidays.
Fantastic experience: I camped. One man tent. Pitches are a good size. Very well maintained. Plenty of room and they strictly adhere to regulations such as distance needed between pitches for fire regs etc. Clubhouse has great food, good selection of beers and cider. Recommend Thatchers Rascal as a cider. They have a lot of young staff who are an absolute credit to the park. Polite, happy, good customer service. I was very impressed with them all. It's a large family park with a mixture of tents, tourers and motorhomes. I'm told it used to be a golf course. Gives you an idea of the scale of the place. Good washing up facilities, toilets a plenty and showers. Has WiFi. I didn't use it so can't comment on it. Two pools. Outdoor and indoor. Indoor requires booking. Has gym. Has laundry machines. Location. You can hear traffic. It's not overly intrusive but it can be heard. Otherwise it's central to a lot of Cornwall with Newquay and Perranporth easy to get to. Straight onto good dual carriageways. Pricing for a single tent was £40 a night. I'd consider this the higher end of what I would pay. However I think it was worth it for the amenities, the cleanliness, the service and the friendliness and efficiency of both the staff and owners. Overall can't fault the place.
Negative experience: Short answer: Have very low expectations if you book the houses. Ants everywhere, very run down, broken equipment. Generally a really poor experience. Not family friendly. Lond answer: We stayed in one of the contemporary cottages. Having driven several hours We arrived for the 5pm check in. The first house we went into initially looked nice but we soon noticed a huge ant infestation. We talked to the reception about this, who did not apologies they just have us some ant killer. We then requested to move property and after an hour we they finally (reluctantly) agreed. The house we then moved to was even worse, again it had an ant infestation, but also there was mould on the windows, the whole place was run down and broken. As it was so late and we had little children we decided to deal with this the following day. We were then moved house for a second time the next day. The house was nice and clearly had been updated but there was still an ant problem. It seems the ant problem is site wide. Overall the whole site when the houses are is really run down, the grass was not cut, the flower beds are just weeds. The park is very broken and covered in weeds. Most of the people staying seemed to be workmen or large stag do type groups. The indoor swimming pool was OK, could do with some maintenance but it was clean. Also word of warning this is mainly used for classes and eternal groups l. Saturday and Sunday are the only free swim days. We did walk over to the campsite and it felt like a whole different place, there was a lovely new park, seemingly a shop that is due to open soon. The gardening was nice. After all this nobody ever apologised, and really felt like they really didn't care. Not a family friendly site at all.
Positive experience: Been a member for years...Lovely resort and gym . However, I am alittle disappointed that there isn't disabled changing area for the swimming pool for my niece , only a baby changing area .. not suitable for a 10 year old full time wheelchair user .
Negative experience: Our experience was ok but if you want something out of your resort then this isn't the place for you but I am saying this after staying at the end of October. They is no evening entertainment, bar is only open Tuesday and Thursday, outdoor pool was drained even tho they are still advertising this as part of your stay. The only reason really I'm giving two starts instead of one is that they are dog friendly site and only cost £40 more than what a hotel would have cost me. And they do have a gym and indoor swimming available
Fantastic experience: The location is amazingly quiet and Picturesque. The four bedroom three bathroom houses are absolutely amazing. Could have a bit more entertainment on an evening. Thank you for making our holiday quite relaxing and welcoming. And there was plenty of fun for the kids. Can't wait to see you next year!
Negative experience: Nice campsite with very helpful team at the reception. Huge pitches and really structured campsite. Nice bar with good breakfast. Two things which frustrated me: - sanitary is bad; faded glory. Needs really maintenance. Taps are not closing, blocked drains, small spaces…. - not able to leave the campsite for a run; very busy road where it is impossible to walk along; The pictures about the accommodation at Google do not match the actual state of the resort in total. This suprises me. I contacted the management about this and they where not available for any feedback. After my stay I received an e-mail with a short statement about complaints. They will pay attention to it. Hopefully they will invest in the sanitary, contact with te customer and presenting realistic pictures of the accommodations; instead of Segways... I will not check and avoid this spot. Ps. The team on location deserves a compliment!
Fantastic experience: Camping holiday. Absolutely amazing. Clean toilets and showers. Spacious field. Had great neighbours. Staff were friendly and amazing. Lots to do with pools, kids park, teen den and so on. Lots to see within a small radius of the site.
Fantastic experience: Great venue, the showers need updating but you can see money is being spent on updating the whole site. We had a great week there
Fantastic experience: We camped here last week, ive never been camping before and im 60, the whole place is so well kept, all areas are spotless, the toilets and showers are cleaned everyday. The Manor House where you can eat or buy drinks was lovely, really reasonable prices, I had fish and chips there and it was wonderful. The pools are lovely and clean, I can not fault the place. It only cost 5 of us with our tent and electric hook up just over 400 pound which is an amazing price
Positive experience: We have stayed here camping for many years now. Since 2014 but not 2020 or 2021 due to covid. Since covid things have changed on site but also have changed before then. The entertainment is only twice a week live music. The marquee has gone and only a small amount of indoor seating. No spa now. The place looks more run down and could do with a bit of attention. Staff pleasant as always. I love the addition of the hut on the fields. Nice breakfast baps and smoothies. Nice addition of the large washing machines. It may not stop me coming again as I love newquay and cornwall but I may look elsewhere for my next camp.
Fantastic experience: The house was clean. On arrival we were greated with clotted cream scones.we were left with fresh milk and toilet paper in all three bathrooms. The house was modern with good taste. The indoor swimming pool was great, but you have to pre book on line. The outdoor pool was also good. The cafe has very cheerful staff with good food. The pub we only had one take away, the food was lovely but quite expensive, which we expected. All in all we had a brilliant holiday all 8 of us.
Fantastic experience: We camped here for 2 nights. This site has a pub, shop, gym, cafe, swimming pool...... There is so much to do here and the camping facilities are good. You are given lots of room on the pitch. We were welcomed really well and everything was made clear to us. There is minimal road noise but that wouldn't put me off staying here again.
Positive experience: Used our tourer. Toilets need a bit of work an dont like the communal changing rooms for indoor pool. Also toilet lock was broke in indoor pool an i reported it numerous times but was not repaired during our 2 week stay. Local pub great, pizza good an live music some bands we fab but one band was awful Overall we would go again as suits our family due to having pools, gym ,play areas and teen room
Positive experience: Clean, layout of house very convenient. Jucuzzi maintained daily. Dishwasher tripped lights on third day, unit was replaced next day. Showerhead fell off in en suite bathroom, fixed same day by friendly technician, with follow up call. Needed an extra duvet for one of the kids, brought round promptly. Fantastic service every time.
Positive experience: Currently camping at Atlantic reach. Arrived on Thursday, shown to our pitches by the park owners, pitches are a great size. Facilities are good. Powerful and hot showers, kept as clean as they can be with the amount of holiday makers using them. Quiet time is from 10.30pm which is good. Owners on site and to hand when needed. A great experience so far
Positive experience: Stayed in the cottages with the hot tubs, was with a large family group. Would of given 5 stars, but the houses had no hand soaps, washing up liquid, kitchen towels, tea or coffee and both Hot tubs where cold upon arrival. These Simple touches and complimentary things that could make a big difference. Overall very clean houses, very spacious rooms and nice quiet area.
Positive experience: We have just spent 2 weeks here camping. The camping facilities are set on a former golf course. We were on a nice level serviced pitch close to the showers and toilets. They are good but the showers are very small. There is a family room if you have kids, which has a bath which is helpful too. The wardens are amazing and a true asset to the site. The little cafe by the indoor pool and the pub staff are all really great people, who care about the guests and are great with kids. These two parts of the site are sub let and you can tell. The rest of the facilities are basic in my opinion, and looking tired in many places. Main road has pot holes, the tennis court is tired, the arcade is also tired, and there is just general maintenance to do in many areas. On the whole, it's a site that served its purpose and was a fantastic location for exploring Newquay and everything to do around it.
Fantastic experience: Girly break to Cornwall to revisit our childhood haunts as children was absolutely topped off with the fantastic accommodation we stayed in on this resort. The house itself was so comfortable & homely & it's position on site couldn't have been more pleasant! Parking nearby too. Location of Atlantic Reach gets top marks, so easy to visit nearby beautiful places. Loved this holiday here & will definitely return back!!!
Positive experience: The accommodation was basic but functional. The kitchen not very well equipped. The bedrooms on the top floor got very warm for hot summer nights. Our room smelled of stale wee & ammonia (from the wee presumably though we couldn't locate the source). The resort was ok though not a great deal to do except lounge by the pool (which doesn't float my boat). Great playgrounds for kids! Outdoor pools were pretty cold and got pretty dirty after a few days. Launderette was misleading with pricing - listed were minimum prices e.g. £3 for tumble dryer was per 15 min!
Negative experience: Let's start with the positive: 1) located not far from Newquay and pretty well located to get to local attractions 2) bedrooms were a decent size in their 4 bed cottage That's about it. We stayed recently, as a family of 6. This was an alternative offered by the company we booked our disney trip with but had to cancel. Now as you can expect, we paid a fair price for our disney trip, so when we were told we could use that on a local UK trip, we had high expectations. We were expecting a lot on sight as it has "resort & leisure" in its name.....not even an on site shop....I've stayed in cheap campsites with better facilities on offer. Negatives: 1) yes there's a pool and gym on site, you have to book (no problem with this) but you can only book outside of members hours (8-10 or 6-7) 2) reception is not 24/7, but if you have to speak to them, you can do so in the leisure centre....most seem like they're clueless in there 3) our cottage looked good on the outside....however the oven didn't work, dishwasher didn't close properly, lights didn't work, broken shower heads in 2 bathrooms, cracked bath tub...nothing was resolved in our 4 night stay 4) pictures are very deceiving, looks well spread out, however, you soon realise its more closely built than a housing estate.... 5) parking is based on, find a spot and take it 6) bar only serves food for short periods of time (staff there were lovely and a credit) All in all, I would not recommend this place and I will not be returning, I will be complaining to our 3rd party company who gave us this solution....I know we were not going to get a disney experience....but for the price....I would have like a nice experience
Fantastic experience: Booked this place last minute for a weekend camping. Then instantly regretted it having not read the reviews. However the place was great, restaurant and bar was well presented, food was awesome, the staff were always busy and really friendly and all facilities were clean and tidy. Couldn't fault a thing, can only imagine previous reviews were under previous management. Great weekend.
Negative experience: Absolutely awful place - very run-down with no privacy as all accommodation overlooked by others. Wifi not available only in public building Decided to leave early. Not worthy of high rates charged. Couldn't get away quick enough.
Negative experience: Staff are in the main inept and are led by even more inept and unsympathetic management. Avoid as these type of people do not deserve your business. Simple requests and issues are too much for anyone to handle and when raised with management, they do not want to know.
Negative experience: We booked this holiday for August 2021 in our caravan with our 3 small children, unfortunately my mum had terminal cancer (age 55) and deteriorated very quickly towards August when we were meant to be going, we could not be over 6 hours away from her, we explained this to Atlantic Reach who said that we could not have a refund but we could rebook the holiday within the next 13 months, which was fair enough. The day after their email stating this, my mum passed away. I have had 7 months of hell, losing my mum and my girls losing their grandma. February this year (6 months later) we emailed Atlantic Reach enquiring about rebooking the holiday for this year, we emailed a few times and had no response. We finally received an email back last week from them saying that we had not let them know the date that we wanted to rebook the holiday by the end of 2021 so we COULD NOT rebook at all. NO where were we told that we would have to let them know by the end of 2021 when we wanted to rebook the holiday, we were told we had 13 months to take the holiday and to let them know as soon as possible when we were thinking... Feb this year was AS SOON AS POSSIBLE when you are grieving. My husband has called and asked to speak to managers to be told they are away getting married on holiday and there are no managers. Someone finally called back to discuss this as we have paid £420 for this weeks holiday that they were not willing to refund or let us re book at all, they are standing by their decision and will not assist us at all with this, we have been told to look into our insurance. I cannot believe that this company can take money from families and have no remorse what so ever. I am so upset. We were arranging for 3 other pitches to be booked with us (family) but there is no way they are going to go now. The customer service is appalling and I will make sure that everyone knows what sort of company this us. If anyone wants any further information / details let me know and I will be happy to assist.
Fantastic experience: Easy to find and near everything via a short drive. The site has very good facilities, including a laundry, restaurant and a friendly pub. It's looking a little dated in places but the houses are beautiful inside. If you're looking for somewhere to stay which allows for the exploration of Cornwall, it's pretty much perfect.
Positive experience: Went to use the pool to take the granddaughter swimming. Welcoming staff, pool is not too big, with a baby pool next to it,(very warm)! Also you have to be a local, and prove it to use the facilities.
Negative experience: Avoid this like the plague. We booked a large cottage for a group including children ages ago for the October 2021 half term. Had a call today Saturday, stating that our cottage boiler was broken, so the holiday was off. We were offered two places however as a group with children this is not an option. The staff were unhelpful and not the least bit sympathetic. Unbelievable that the boiler cannot get fixed quickly, but they stated that this would not be possible. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere. Time to go and tell the children their long awaited holiday is now off. Thanks Atlantic Reach!
Negative experience: Wow, hard to explain just how bad my experience actually is. I checked in 2,5 hrs ago and so far it’s hands down the worst experience I have ever had. Incedibly rude front desk manager. Spa is closed indefinitely, toilet in my unit is broken (front desk suggesting I broke it and would likely need to wait until the morning to have it fixed). When I politely asked simple questions about what the rules for my children accessing facilities are I was rudely interrupted and spoken down to with utter contempt. If I could get my money back and find other accomodation I would pack up and leave rigjt now. Stay away!
Positive experience: Only used the pool at this location timed sessions made it possible to swim without being overcrowded safe for children however they need an adult with them as there are no lifeguards
