Positive experience: Just visited for football

Positive experience: Friendly helpful staff. Well equipped gym, but really loud music from speakers right next to your head is not needed as we all have our own kind of music on our phones. Maybe that was good in the 1980's.

Negative experience: Went for a swim with my partner and sister. Felt uncomfortable swimming in the pool as one of the lads was racially biased and kept asking that I swim in the shallow even though I am an experienced adult swimmer. Myself and my partner then discovered feces in the pool that were floating at the button. Absolutely disgusting!! We told the staff and they said “It could be but we cleaned it last night so it should be fine”. The attitude was terrible. We left immediately.

Negative experience: I use the gym and some classes here that are really good but the pool really does let it down , no idea when it was last cleaned but the changing rooms stink and there is all black mould round the tiles its disgusting , my daughter has swim lessons and i just dread having to go in there because its so dirty. And when i have seen staff cleaning round the pool they brushed the dirty water from the floor into the pool .

Negative experience: Having used this pool for a few years, we have now stopped going because the pool, showers and the changing rooms are so dirty, they look like a health hazard. Why are they not cleaned? I would have given zero stars if this was an option. I have spoken to many swimmers who all agree.

Fantastic experience: Great fitness centre with weights room upstairs, cardio downstairs and spinning studio.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym to be honest, booking online can be a bit of an issue. But you can always ring or do it whilst at a class

Negative experience: Play area usually great. Came today and told an hour wait. Let others in before us and empty tables. Not an hour it was 20 mins. Tried to order food at 1pm. No food being served they said! All young kids serving just stood around chatting. Shame because normally good place but very uninterested and disorganised staff.

Fantastic experience: I use Goactive Newton-le-Willows every weekday for 1hr-1.5hrs. Never thought I'd be a 'proper' gym goer, but since joining in June 2023 I've met trainers who really believe in you and stretch you. My own physical health and mental health has become so much stronger. I love the Monday & Friday early morning (6.45) strength classes and Tuesdays early inferno classes (7am). It's well worth the membership!

Fantastic experience: Today we visited Willowbees at Newton-le-Willows health Centre. My boys thoroughly enjoyed playing here. Service was quick for drinks.

Fantastic experience: Staff, trainers, facilities and membership costs are all excellent. Senior staff will help new members feel at home.

Fantastic experience: Great play area for the grandchildren. Food on the sad side I think they need to come up with some new and better ideas. My husband ordered fish chips and peas. He got two fish fingers chips and peas on a paper plate. Perhaps you could have a small piece of fish for adults at the cost and still make a profit.

Positive experience: Very good altmriund but lacking in physics or people to demonstrate weights etc on machines

Positive experience: Great staff but facility too cold especially this time of year. (November)The pool is cold the changing rooms cold. Showers cold and dance studio cold. Please turn the heating up

Positive experience: Amazing gym with well trained and positive instructors. I joined GA.last month and attend the classes 5 times per week. Outstanding classes , can't wait for more classes to come. Only concern about the cleaning service as there is lots of dust and the changing room is wet.

Fantastic experience: Willowbees! Great soft play for all ages 0+ a small under 2s section and then a large climbing area/slides. Decent food and drinks selections and good seating area at a usual price.

Positive experience: Been swimming there, standard swimming baths, Could do with a refresh but what you see is what you get, Tried to call the other day 3 times throughout the day and didn't get through so I didn't end up going.. The front desk/ phone service could do with some work

Fantastic experience: I was staying with family over the summer hols and visited here 3 times with a 5 year old, 6 year old and 1 year old twins. Large area from 4 to 11 years olds and small section for under 4s. Even though adults let older kids in. Clean and lots of tables, ate here once and food was lovely smaller portions for all which is well enough Definitely recommend

Positive experience: Great indoor play area here for kids and they also have a lot of fitness and swimming sessions/ classes going on

Fantastic experience: Took my Grandson to a party, its fantastic! Much better than other play centres we've been to! Staff are helpful and friendly. They even asked if any of the children had allergies! I bought a snack and a coffee for myself, and the cost was cheaper than other places.

Positive experience: Good gym with plenty of facilities to use, but gym changing rooms could have a better cleaning regime. Drain flies are frequent along with hair clumps

Fantastic experience: I have been going to The Trip live classes for a couple of weeks now after a long long break from any of exercise. The amazing Judy took the class today, what an incredible instructor and by far my favourite, it’s my second class with her ✨ She pushes you to your limit, and some, and makes you feel incredible whilst doing so. She really knows her stuff and how your body should move through each technique, which is what is needed. I feel absolutely amazing when I come out of her class, and I am even sleeping better :) Beware, these classes are additive!!!! Lol. I haven’t felt this amazing for a long time, and I and finally losing weight too. Thanks so much :) see you next time Judy

Positive experience: Went swimming ‍♂️ today with the family and the changing rooms were dirty and looked like they haven’t been cleaned for while. Then the same for the floor in and around the pool. It’s not a nice things to see when you come swimming.

Positive experience: We went swimming today and found the pool to be large and the facilities were clean. Felt a bit ripped off having to pay 25p for a locker. My partner forgot to put his glasses away and had to pay again for another token - just seems like a bit of a money grab… we asked at the desk on the way out and there is apparently no way around this and you have to pay every time even if you take out a membership. Be aware that there are no private showers available and nowhere to wring out your swimming costume. It has the potential to be a good gym but unfortunately missing some essentials.

Positive experience: Good experience when taking the kids to Willow Bees. Very expensive food and admission prices in my opinion. Facilities are good and staff are very friendly.

Fantastic experience: We actually go to Willowbees in here & take my nephew & niece. Fantastic play centre & a section for under 3 years! Tables around so family can sit & have food & drink & a catch up whilst kids play! Staff really friendly & always happy to help! I'm sure they offer kids parties & prices reasonable!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of a few gyms but I've found the one... Friendly and supportive no matter what stage of the fitness journey you're on. That is staff & other members. The timetable of classes is great & booking system works. In fact, I don't recommend anymore competition for my fave classes... Definitely, consider other gyms!

Positive experience: Could do with a bit better signage for the soft play area. Wasn't even sure it was the right place. FOOD is shocking though

Positive experience: Good place to visit. The refurbishment has been good although the seating area at the pool was never done and is not good. It's hard to get in and out because of the tight space between the seats and people have to stand up to let you in and out. Also the life guards very often stand in the way chatting so watching my children in their swimming lessons is very difficult sometimes. Swimming lessons are good and great value here.

Fantastic experience: I had my son’s party at Willowbees today, having visited a good few times before and enjoyed it. The staff there are super, super busy dealing with everything but still manage to make it all run smoothly. Thanks very much for a great day today which all the children enjoyed.

Fantastic experience: Just had a really good time at willowbees with a 2 and1/2 year old and 5 month old baby. Fun area was clean and great for kids, the food was delicious and a really good price and the quality and quantity was excellent. Will definitely make it a regular afternoon with the kids. Parking is free and there's lots of it.

Negative experience: Pizza and chips weren't cooked. They were rude when we asked for the pizza to be cooked. Will not be returning.

Positive experience: Pool water is lovely and warm, it's a bit tired and needs updating though. Never used their gym or classes so can't comment on that.

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Willowbees Soft Play at Newton-Le-Willows Health and Fitness. It's clean, tidy, cheap and the staff are lovely and friendly. Bonus that little ones under 2 are free and you don't pay for adult entry either like some of the others! The Costa coffee is a nice added bonus Keep up the good work!

Negative experience: ⚠️ DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ⚠️ The staff here are RUDE, OBNOXIOUS and most certainly NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. The staff had no manners at all, rude to customers and also tried to deceive customers out of money by saying they had no Change - yet never opened the till. I've never experienced such a hostile environment in a playcentre, it felt more like borstal in 1900s!! They rush you out after a party taking everything away from you and tell you to "hurry up"! Being a customer on crutches, I expected assistance not some grumpy lady taking her anger out on me - THE PAYING CUSTOMER!! unbelievable! This is supposed to be a fun and child friendly environment, the staff make it hell. They do not care about the enjoyment of the children or the quality of the service they provide. AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF COUNCIL EXPENDITURE AND TIME. RENOVATING A SPACE THAT COULD HAVE THRIVED WITH THR RIGHT WORKFORCE.

Fantastic experience: It is nice big gym over two floors. Plenty of equipment. Staff nice and friendly and helpful. I only go I early morning when there is not a lot in.

Negative experience: Had my sons party here today. The kids loved the play area but I’m more peed off that we was rushed out 5 mins before we was due to leave. It states on your website 2 hours stay. Not to mention my mates 20 month old son having food taken off him and was told they had to leave. And my mother in law rushing her cup of tea. This is shocking service. I think you need to do your times properly enough time for us to leave and not be pushed out. Paid a lot of money. Absolutely won’t be back.

Negative experience: Went to a kids party at Willowbees. Kids enjoyed the play frame so this is the 2 stars. The customer service was disgusting from some staff! 2hr kids party starts at 1pm should finish at 3?! At 2.40 staff started to pile all the cups and plates from other tables onto my table (lots of other empty tables where this could have gone) where I'm sat with 20 month old as he's finishing his food. The staff member then tried to take his food and made the comment that its time for us to go! 15 mins before the party end time! Also no party bags were provided by willowbees which had been paid for as part of the party package - apparently an issue with the boys party bags.... what was offered in return for this was a half price entry for each guest the next time! These are given out anyway so not exactly fair! And after the shocking service....who would want to go back!!

Positive experience: There always seems to be something broken. One of the treadmills has had an out of order sign on it for a while, and half of them won't connect to the internet so I can't access favourited workouts. Two of the water machines were out of order today. Also there are often kids classes in the pool so most of the shallow end is not available which makes it quite busy in the narrow section that my child can stand up in. Overall, it's ok for a local leisure centre but lacking in some areas.

Fantastic experience: My 3 children all go here for swimming lessons and my partner uses the gym. The swimming teachers are great, Dave, Bernadette and Janet have all been fantastic with our children.

Fantastic experience: Take my grandson to swimming lessons on a Friday. Best facilities, fab pool, great friendly coaches. Food good at cafe in reception, they have food, drinks, sweets machines too. Changing rooms are mixed but not a problem as theres plenty of cubicles which are for families or single use.

Fantastic experience: Love going to the soft play with our grandsons. It's clean, not too busy and the boys love it.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughters love it, it's very clean, cleaning wipes provided at all tables and cleaned between sessions, reasonably priced at £4 per child, no charge for adults

Fantastic experience: First visit here post Covid-19 with everything back to normal. Very impressed with the facilities and the soft play is spotlessly clean and one of, if not the biggest in the area. Costa coffee in the cafe is an added bonus! This really is an under utilised place that should be thriving. We visited on a Saturday morning and the car park was 1/5th occupied.

Fantastic experience: Went here for the first time and will definitely be returning. Changing rooms very clean and fee to get in is not time limited unlike everything where else in the area, you can stay there all day if you want to. Felt very comfortable taking my 4 year old, it was not busy and he really enjoyed it. No nonsense approach from lifeguards meant the couple of rowdy teenagers who arrived had to be respectful. Lots of parking spaces which are free. Vending machines and a small cafe too. Contactless payment on everything even the tokens to use the lockers.

Positive experience: The soft play here is excellent. Very clean and organised. The kids love it. Unfortunately on this occasion the food was not up to expectation with long waits and poor quality. Staff were lovely and tried their best under difficult conditions. Unfortunately in the current climate it is difficult to have enough staff in place and I do appreciate that.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant centre, the staff are all lovely and helpful, there are so many classes to choose from. The fitness suite looks great after the refurb. They've also coped well with Covid. I won't be going back to Pure.

Fantastic experience: Used the swimming pool for lane swimming but haven't used the fitness suite. Staff were helpful sorting out registration quickly. Covid regulations are well met with a one way system. Pool is large and warm with a slow, medium and faster lane so you can choose your own speed.

Positive experience: After the millions of pounds worth of updating they have done here, it is now far better than its ever been. Ample parking, great gym (split over 2 floors for cardio and then weight training) several studios for different classes, good size pool and a massively updated and cleaner feeling changing room area. Such an upgrade . Price wise... A little on the steep side compared to over places such as pure gym etc but not so expensive that it's not worth it.

Positive experience: Good set up for football but has one of those annoying cables across the field at halfway to hold the separation curtain which gets hit every match.

Negative experience: I'm not happy about the staff watching my partener struggling out the pool with my 8month old daughter what nearly rolled back in the water witch she could of drowned. All the staff was watching her and didn't help her with my 8month old baby up the ladders.. so not happy

Negative experience: Pitches fine, but they've taken out the brew machine and replaced with a cafe. But then the cafe shuts early. Annoying as. Y lad has training later on in the evening

Fantastic experience: Being retro refurbished at the moment. But still has a few areas left to do. Good parking areas and the gym areas are filled with equipment. There is a kids soft play area which is really big. The kids will love it.
