Fantastic experience: This is a very top and number one sports complex in London. It has a very strong management. Their service is unparalleled in all of London. A very safe, secure, hygienic, clean, relaxing, lovely environment. I am a member of this sports complex and it is really worth it to have special appreciation for each and every staff member, even the cleaners.

Negative experience: Indoor heated swimming pool was broken with no notice to members Can never book a padel group because you are competing with 1000 other people for a court Despite prices going up even more to over £3000 per year from 1st Jan 2025 (almost £20 per day if you went every other day!) you still have to pay extra for classes such as reformer pilates and tennis. Swimming lessons happening in the swimming lane extending over to the rest of the pool. Made it very awkward for everyone else. No badminton, squash courts or ping pong table. The dining area / lounge tables are always a mess / dirty The app asks you to feedback to them and you can ask to be contacted about the feedback but nobody ever does. It's just their way to avoid people posting publically. Overall poor, but with rising prices year on year.

Fantastic experience: Michelle is wonderful. I regularly attend her Strong Core classes and she provides a wealth of knowledge and experience and she always makes the experience fun. Absolute 5 star !!

Negative experience: Oh my actually goodness After calling up to enquire about booking a Padel court as a basic member, I just spoke to a lady on reception who I think was called Lorraine and she was god awful at her job. Customer service at DL in general is so bad these days, it’s a joke. She gave conflicting information, literally said “no” when asked “is that something you can check for me” when she didn’t know the answer to my question, offered no help and was generally just rude. Clearly she didn’t know basic information about her job which is why she didn’t want to go and ask anyone for an answer to my super basic question. As soon as I said “okay thank you” she couldn’t be quicker to put the phone down… honestly laughable.

Fantastic experience: I regularly attend my local David Lloyd club at Bushey. It is a friendly, clean and enjoyable experience every time. The team in the clubroom are really friendly and polite. I highly recommend the club.

Fantastic experience: I love this place, it’s my second home. Everyone that works at DL Bushey is great. Special mention to Abi and Ron, but the whole team is brilliant!

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd classes are excellent, especially Michelle Gold’s total body workout, strong core and legs, bums and core. Michelle works you hard but also makes a big effort to entertain. She loves to think up themed classes. Every class finishes with an excellent stretch. Michelle takes an interest in the participants of her classes and makes sure they do the exercises correctly. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Me and my family have been long standing members of Bushey David Lloyd’s, unfortunately due to high number of staff turn over customer care is very very poor leaving untrained staff mishandling members causing very upset members at times primarily from reception staff. We pay high rates to attend this health club to help de stress from the pressures of running a business not only fitness PLEASE NOTE: if you’re paying a premium for a health club attend somewhere else that offers the service after all that’s what we are paying the premium for, I don’t feel that I or anyone should leave feeling frustrated or upset for any reason - purely because of being mishandled early morning on a Sunday! if anything quite the opposite, No one was interested in the upset of the member and quick to say if you’re upset we can cancel your membership and I had to get my daughter and nephew to leave when they was excited to swim (for what reason? I pay! My 10 year old daughter is a member and I have guess passes!!! That’s what I’m paying over £200 a month for INCREDIBLE.. I run a small business and my prime focus is customer care and satisfaction something a club like David llyod should be heads and shoulders above my little business but clearly the opposite. This last year a number of members have left and now I understand why. People have also been cutting off locks on lockers and steal stuff, and my truck got broken into last month but nothing was done about any of it saying cameras do not work PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE - this is the premium we are paying for! I attend this gym every single day for me to leave on this occasion feeling the way I do is NOT what health clubs are for. This happened because my 6 year old nephew run under the barrier (as kids do) and instead of being ask to sign him in which is very normal and no more than 20 seconds to do I was faced with IVE TOLD YOU BEFORE and more.. sorry but i do not appreciate being handled like that in that manner what so ever just ask me to sign him in and would take 20 seconds.. the problem was created purely because of the way i was handled there for it could have very easily been prevented by just being polite not rude or patronising!! Thank you David Lloyd’s for this pleasant Sunday please send reception staff on some courses to help prevent against unnecessary upset please.

Negative experience: If you think joining, DO NOT waste your money! appaling survice! To be clear, that word is non existent, there is simply no service. Do not try to ask for anything, they will hung up or tell you off! We signed in a different David Lloyd , service and staff were spectacular, very helpfull and polite at all times. super clean and looked after, it felt wanderful. Unfortunatly we moved closer to Bushey, and it is day and night! In David Lloyd Bshey looks like prople hate the job. Kids staff is strictly buisness oriented, and do not care! Towels sometime stink. and yes, when they give them away, they keep them on the floor!!! Seriously!?

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Gym, Bushey offers a fantastic spa and pool and gym experience. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The pool area is clean and relaxing, perfect for a swim or just to unwind. The spa is a great place to relax, with a calm atmosphere that helps you feel refreshed. There’s also a café with delicious food, which makes it easy to grab a healthy meal or snack after your workout. The staff are friendly and overall a family friendly club! A shout out to Sarah! I love her classes! She makes the classes fun, and motivational! Overall, it’s a great place to visit for both fitness and relaxation.

Fantastic experience: A Truly Relaxing and Rejuvenating Experience! I recently visited the David Lloyd spa, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt relaxed and welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. The facilities are immaculate and offer everything you need for a truly relaxing escape—whether you're enjoying the sauna, steam room, or one of their incredible treatments. A special mention has to go to the manager, Enreek, who truly goes above and beyond to make sure every guest is taken care of. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction really shines through. You can tell that he leads by example, as the entire team is so attentive and accommodating.

Fantastic experience: Have been going DL Bushey for many years now. Great place to meet friends and the recent renovation of the spa is an excellent improvement. It is expensive but that just makes you use it more regularly which makes you more healthy and happy. The lockers and changing areas should be next (and a gated entry at the other end of the club to the bottom cat park would be great!) but this doesn’t detract from everything else. The staff, Enreek and his team, always smiling and happy to help.

Negative experience: Beautiful facility but the management and sales are cutthroat thieves. I paid for the annual diamond membership. Halfway through, I added a relative and their child. They were required to pay for a separate 12-month term. I raised the question - if I chose not to renew, will their membership be affected? The old lady working there said 'NO'. Thereafter, she convinced me to switch home gym from Cricklewood to Bushey, citing a ~£260 refund in covering the difference. This was confirmed by the SALES TEAM AND MANAGER BY EMAIL. Despite a follow-up attempt, to this day 12 months later I haven't received a single reply or penny after transferring. Today I received an email citing that an 'outstanding balance' of £2431.00 is due, on threat of collections and additional fines. On checking the T&C fine print, I discover that there is a THREE MONTH NOTICE on cancellation of annual memberships. Not only this, but all associated memberships will also immediately close. I am looking into small claims court to recover my promised refund. Stay away from DL Clubs. There are better alternatives.

Negative experience: Today was probably one of the worst experiences I have had at a david Lloyd club. While doing my standard training today one of the David Lloyd employees was completely unprofessional and was treating a group of people completely unprofessionally I was surprised at the fact that he said he didn’t care about his job and he would happily have a fight right there and then. This took me by surprise as I bring my kids to this branch and no matter how bad the situation is you should never speak to your customers like that. I would never let that person anywhere NEAR them with that kind of behaviour. I am completely appalled on how David Lloyd employ such people who can’t deal with customers in a professional manner rather than showing who is the stronger man. I think after today’s session I will be moving to another branch as I would not want my kids to see this kind of behaviour.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at bushey for over 2 years and today me and my friends were training like we do everyday and the staff member John had an agenda about us before speaking to us as we are young Asian guys and never let us train in peace as he complained we needed to put our weights back whilst we was still using the bench press. We explained to him we are using the weights still and we always put our weights back but upon our first interaction with him he was already angry with us and speaking to us in a very harsh tone. He began to sit on the cycle next to us and just stare at us and we reiterated that we will put the weights back which made us all feel uncomfortable. On our next exercise he proceeded to come to us and shouted at us to keep the noise down. Upon hearing this we all felt belittled and explained that we are in a gym and not a library as we all lift quite alot of weight. He proceeded to tell us today will be our last day at the gym and we will all be suspended for no reason. I told John today will be his last day of work as I’ll speak to the manager which I said out loud and everyone arround heard, he proceeded to say I’m not scared of losing my job and proceeded to face me off. We escalated this issue to the manager by the name of Mitchell and asked everyone on the gym floor if we have done anything wrong. Upon asking the fellow members of the gym we had a few people also explain their bad experiences with John and we came to find out it’s not his first time behaving like this, abusing his power. It is a coincidence how we are all of an ethnic minority and the is has happened. Collectively we are all very disappointed with our experience at the Bushey gym today and would advise everyone to use another gym. John really has ruined my experience at David Lloyd and will proceed to go elsewhere and would advise everyone else to. I hope John is penalised for his behaviour as I will not be returning along with 5 of my friends because of this. Overall extremely disappointed especially after the threats made by himself. I wouldn’t advise anyone to use the bushey branch.

Negative experience: Dear David Lloyd Management, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred today at your David Lloyd Bushey location. I felt racially profiled and harassed by one of your staff members, John During my visit, I was approached and treated in a manner that made me feel unwelcome and unfairly targeted. John's behavior was intrusive and seemed to be based solely on my race, which I find deeply offensive and unacceptable. As a member of David Lloyd, I expect to be treated with respect, dignity, and equality, regardless of my race or background. This experience left me feeling humiliated and uncomfortable, which is not what I expect from an organization that prides itself on its values and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Racial profiling has no place in any environment, especially in a fitness club where members should feel safe and respected. I kindly request a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action to be taken against John to ensure that no other member has to go through such an experience. I would also appreciate a response outlining the steps you will take to address this situation and prevent it from happening again in the future. I also informed the manager Mitchell hope he takes action as he investigated the matter and confirmed with the members upstairs as me and a group of others was treated unfairly. Negative experience: I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your gym involving a staff member During my visit with my friends, the staff member in question exhibited racist behavior towards us and even became physically aggressive, attempting to provoke a physical altercation. The incident made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome in your establishment. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and goes against the values of inclusivity and respect that should be upheld in a gym environment. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to address the behavior of the staff member involved. It is essential that all members and guests feel safe and respected while using your facilities. I would appreciate a prompt response regarding the steps being taken to address this issue.

Negative experience: Extremely Poor Service at David Lloyd Gym - Disappointed and Unassisted I recently visited David Lloyd Gym with the intention of signing up for a membership, but the experience was thoroughly disappointing. After a challenging 30-minute drive through traffic with my two children, I expected a straightforward visit. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. Upon arrival, despite the presence of three receptionists, I was informed that no salespeople were available to show me around or answer questions. I explicitly asked if I could at least have a quick tour of the gym and then proceed with membership details over the phone or online, but I was flatly denied. It's perplexing and frustrating that no one could provide basic assistance or even a contact number or email for future inquiries. It's completely unreasonable to expect potential members to commit without being able to see the facilities. This visit was not only a waste of my time and effort but also a clear demonstration of poor customer service. I left the gym with my questions unanswered and without any visible means to follow up. In the past, I've visited far lower quality leisure centers and had decent experiences, which makes this situation even more disappointing. As a member of multiple mums clubs, I feel compelled to share this negative experience to warn others who might be considering this location. I am reconsidering my decision to sign up. I would appreciate it if management could reach out to address these service issues and hopefully facilitate a proper introduction to the gym.

Negative experience: They are not interested in running a health club. I had my bag stolen from my locker (which had a secure lock on) I believe that they have staff who are aware of what is going on and are turning a blind eye to this as they are being paid off by criminal gangs who are operating this way. When I reported my bag being stolen from my locker, they was not interested at all. Cancelled my membership as I think it is a rip off and not what they sell to you. Avoid this chain at all costs

Negative experience: Having been a member for nearly three years, I can say that the individual staff members are amazing, and when the club is operating as normal, it is great. However, it is abundantly clear that David Lloyd is only interested in maximising profits and does not care for its members at all. More and more often, the clubs are swamped with sudden influxes of temporary memberships, usually by people who never extend beyond those periods and many (not all) lack the etiquette or maturity you would expect from a members club. This also results in the facilities being unusable unless you have the time to stand around for hours on end. I have just tried to use the gym at 9:30 pm unsuccessfully. During these periods, the sauna is treated as a prelude to Ibiza and switches from a relaxing spa (as sold when joining) to a party holiday event, with people jumping the barrier, shouting, screaming, playing music, and messing around. Half the time, there is no member of staff on duty. In essence, David Lloyd is happy for its members to not be able to use the facilities as intended and as paid for, so they can generate a quick buck. Their response is, “It’s only for a couple of weeks.” I think David Lloyd should seriously consider refunding people like myself who stop going during these periods. I’m sure if that was the case, they wouldn’t be so keen to pack it out to the rafters. Even the reviews on here need to be taken with a pinch of salt as they actively press for positive reviews and reward members for such.

Positive experience: It's a David Lloyd club. Went there to watch tennis match. The coffee shop and bar were good. Viewed other facilities and they looked good and you pay for what is delivered.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a number of David Lloyd clubs and Bushey is definitely up there in terms of facilities. The gym floor is huge with all of the equipment you would want. The cafe is really spacious and seems set up for people working from home who want to squeeze a workout into their day. Plus, the staff are always friendly and welcome. I've been having pre-natal PT sessions with Kayla who is great - very knowledgeable and so lovely to work with.

Positive experience: Great club fantastic managent headed by Grant and Tara at Reception is the best, great facilities also would definitely recommend Kayla for a personal trainer if you are new to the gym she is very nurturing. I would like to see more women's only slots in the spa and pool one day if at all possible but otherwise very happy.

Negative experience: TLDR: Very expensive for the price, doesn't worth it. This facility is very expensive and does not offer services that match its high price. Here are a few reasons why: The facility is spacious, but the service does not justify the cost. For example, when I injured my finger and needed a plaster, the receptionist had to call her supervisor for approval before giving me one. This was very strange and inconvenient. During the two weeks we visited the club, the hairdryer and spin dryer only worked for two days. We had to use the ones in the men’s changing room, but after a few days, the spin dryer there also stopped working. The reception staff is inconsistent; some are friendly, but others are rude, rushed, and unwelcoming. This might be because one person is expected to handle multiple tasks, including handing out towels, answering phone calls, and assisting on-site customers. The club offers very few classes for children. In contrast, a smaller, less expensive club we previously attended offered many more classes for kids. I attended two group classes with one coach. Despite there being 7-8 people in each class, the coach did not correct those doing exercises incorrectly, which can have long-lasting negative effects. When I asked the coach about the different forms, he dodged the question and implied that personal training sessions were needed for proper guidance. The cafeteria, however, provided good food and service, which was a positive aspect of our experience. Overall, I would never pay a premium price for such poor service. If you are considering a membership, I strongly recommend trying it for a month or a couple of weeks before making a long-term commitment.

Pool is great and we often have it all to ourselves :) we are a vegan family of 6, they have plenty vegan options including smoothies and protein shakes that can be tailor made to your preferences! good value for money since there’s always loads of activities to do. The cafe staff are amazing, and super super friendly which is just lovely and makes us feel so welcome - in particular a shout out to tash who is accommodating and always there to greet us and share a friendly smile - every time we come in! Fantastic experience: Amazing club, facilities are brilliant and if you use them and go often enough it represents good value for money. The tennis facilities and gym are really well maintained and I can’t recommend highly enough 2 tennis coaches in particular that I can personally recommend; Garry and Jaymie. The cafe staff are amazing, with a very special mention to Tash who is so friendly and accommodating as well as the team. Is a pleasure to be greeted in a really friendly genuine manner when you come into the club too.

Fantastic experience: Natasha my bingo host is amazing! She is so much fun and gave us a great nite. Would be fab is she had an electronic machine... Shame the rest of David Lloyd isn't run so competently.

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely show round the club with Georgia in sales! So enthusiastic really pushing the lifestyle you get at DL rather than just the gym membership, Love the idea of Blaze classes… thank you Georgia for your time, I’ll be back just check my finances.

Negative experience: Although this is the better of the David Lloyd locations, especially for the spa and racquets courts. The pool could be bigger and often is filled with children, but they have an outdoor pool as an option. Sauna is nice with a cold pool, indoor jacuzzi is often cold which is strange, the ceramic heated beds are lovely but often hogged by people putting their towl and possessions down whilst relaxing in the Jacuzzi, pretty selfish behaviours… the cleaning staff are also bizarrely rude and arrogant, cleaning around you like you’re not even there and letting doors swing in your face, I’m not sure where they hire these people and to top it off, it’s over subscribed and the membership management is pretty unjust. I managed to upgrade my membership after the first month, yet when requesting to downgrade, they have refused until the contract is over. This is an inhumane and cold hearted company that fails to even register the cost of living crisis or personal circumstance and only cares about squeezing everything it can out of its supposed “valued” members. I lost my full time employment and now only have part time wages and needed to either cancel or downgrade, yet David Lloyd have straight up refused every option. I would prefer to use my savings on rent in this crisis than line the pockets of this greedy, soulless corporation who do not care about their members. Once my contract is over I will never step foot in a David Lloyd ever again, it’s a complete sham.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym /health club for the family. Recently brought my 4year old for a swim and some family time - 7 month old and wife tagged along! Lovely staff, well maintained facilities, great food and creative menu choices. Really nice family vibe. Special shout out to Natasha in the cafeteria, she was wonderful with my daughter.

Fantastic experience: I went to one of Sarah’s cyclone classes, and not only was it a great workout, but what great fun it was. Sarah the instructor was vrry lovely and energetic. I’ve tried other spinning classes before, but this was by far the best spin class I’ve ever been too.
