Positive experience: Know someone who plays ice hockey here been a couple of times the ice arena is old and cold (as it should be) the facilities are old and disgusting the seats are not that comfortable but bearable. The cafe is very cheep (card or cash)

Fantastic experience: Took my kids ice skating and they enjoyed it. The stewards were too busy practicing there own skating and talking to each other than actually do their jobs and stopping idiots from hurting others.

Positive experience: Bit dated now. Classic leisure centre..which have no doubt, will shut soon. Once pool is transferred to new Acedemy. Never seems to ever be busy, but staff are very helpful

Positive experience: A rather ageing center with basic amenities. A standard 25m swimming pool, 3 feet to 8 feet deep. An ice rink, which isn't really anything exciting, and outside is a skatepark which is probably the best part of the place. Good bus and rail links nearby and a short walk from the seafront.

Fantastic experience: Visited with my Son for swimming. Teaching pool is a great set up with the steps and lots of toys and floats to use. Free entry for under 5's was great. Pool warm and accessible with plenty of space. Changing room and shower area has plenty space and not freezing, so there's no dread getting out the pool and getting changed doesn't feel rushed. Staff were great and all greeted us with a smile. Able to view the ice skating practise afterwards which was an added bonus for the wee one. Will be back for sure!

Positive experience: Quite a nice pool with a alright viewing area, the gym and ice rink is very nice and it definitely seems like KA Leisure have put a lot of time and effort into making the place as nice as it is, would recommend.

Positive experience: Visited as a spectator to watch my grandson practice on the ice rink. This was my first visit here and the place seems popular with the locals. There is the ice rink, a fitness studio and a dance studio in the building. Seems to be well organised and prices are as to be expected for this type of establishment. As a visitor to the area I would return if in that neck of the woods again. Might be interesting to see if I can still stand up on ice skates!!!.

Negative experience: even though I paid for a membership for July, I can not use the facilities due to cancellation to pay direct debit for the next calendar month, which is August. I can not use any facilities for the remaining 10 days of July, which it has been paid for.

Positive experience: The pool I pretty basic. Small pool for children and big pool for confident swimmers. I attended the public swimming sessions. On the few occasions--they were well overcrowded. On Saturday part of the big pool was sectioned off for a swimming lesson for 3 children. The water in the rest of the area was filled with big number of youngsters, who ignored the rules on display (jumping in the water, diving, etc) they all seemed to stick to the shallower waters. How many people can be let in the pool? Today at one point there was only two lifeguards. One for each overcrowded pool. Dangerous, yep. Cleanliness of the place leaves a lot to desire, specially toilets and changing rooms. I hope that maybe the management of the pool will start managing the place better, after all that's what they are paid for big bucks from taxpayer's money.

Positive experience: Does all it says on the tin

Negative experience: I was awaiting being assessed for Cardiac Rehab classes. Twice it has been cancelled on the day of my assessment. Each time I am told they text and emailed me the week before which they did not do. I have no texts or emails from them. Always due to staffing issues. If they have that bad a staffing problem then perhaps not offer the classes in the first place. I finished my hospital Cardiac Rehab in February 2023 and was advised I should be able to start at Auchenharvie KA Leisure in approx two weeks. Today 17/5/23 it has been cancelled for a second time and that is just the assessment not the class. I have just said not to bother now. Doesn't seem any point in booking another appointment as Laura is never available.

Negative experience: My daughter was there today with her friends she said staff hardly spoke to them she was charged ,£5 to start with shes 14 she went out to change her skates and was charged again over £3 this is disgusting and unacceptable for a child to be treated she won't be back and I will be telling all her friends parents what happened her friend who is 14 was also charged adult price is this how they make there money by over charging children my daughter is very shy and felt she had to pay again as she didn't want to cause a scene but am disgusted that this is what happens to children they should not be working there with there attitude auchenharvie should be ashamed of there staff

Fantastic experience: Great Day out Ice Skating. Had to book due to the Pandemic. Although it was easy enough, and the staff were very helpful. Grateful for it being so close, a good day for all.

Positive experience: Nice ice rink , but I booked for myself and my daughter, but when I got there they said I was on system but not booked so waited 30 minutes to be allowed in with no discount, as was the same with 3 other families, so not impressed with service, but I will probably return

Positive experience: The entire centre is tacky from horrible and smelly changing rooms, to broken and old equipment. I haven’t came in contact with all the staff that work there but the majority of them have a passive aggressive attitude and do not provide a friendly service. My advice is go to a Leisure centre that provides a friendly service and a clean environment

Positive experience: Well used. Parking, disabled parking and on a bus route. Friendly, helpful staff. Toilets and showers available. Could do with some TLC as decor is quite tired, hence 4 star. Variety of activities available.

Positive experience: Nice and central for Stevenston n Saltcoats. Needs upgrading, however, and lots of refurbishment to clean it up - sort tiles, new showers, etc. Difficult to know whether it should stay where it is - is it worth spending thousands and thousands on, or would it be better to have a brand new facility. Most staff OK.
