Fantastic experience: Great new gym

Fantastic experience: Only just joined but loving it! Joined on a joint membership and it's less than half the price of other places, and they have a pool! Trying to find a good gym that has a pool without spending the earth is so difficult to find, but Wildern is great for this. Half price court prices with membership, making joining up also beneficial if you're into badminton or tennis. The pool is great, 25 meters so you can get your lengths in while not having to count in multiples of 12, like some pool offerings. Great gym too, which is about to undergo some renovations and expansion as well, so really looking forward to that coming soon, too.

Fantastic experience: Nice swiming facilities was nice and quiet there at 10am on Sunday changing rooms where nice and clean as well.

Negative experience: Its always a struggle to get someone answer your call.

Fantastic experience: Have taken my 1-year-olds swimming here several times. The learner pool is very warm and there is a dedicated changing room for it. Baby changing tables are available. It has not been too busy when I've been, on Saturday afternoons. There is easy parking and accessibility. It's free for under 3s and there is a family discount.

Negative experience: Went for a swim today, 18/9/23, was disgusted to say the least, the pool was freezing cold, nothing new there, but, to top it off, the showers were freezing cold, if you have paying customers, then this service is a must, turn the hot water off after the last person has left the building. This is just not acceptable, Wildern get your act together. There was also no one on reception to say this. It has also come to my attention, how messy the changing room floor gets in between sessions, I feel there needs to be an attendant cleaning it. I know it is a messy time of year, so all the more need to clean it up. Only given one star, because of this. If the showers were faulty, which I don’t think they were, then, there should of been notices up.

Positive experience: Have just joined Well equipped gym seems to be okay so far! There are times it has been busy around 4-6.30pm but guess this is people finishing work ect.. Not in the gyms control but the carparking lights could be stronger as car park is not very well lit.

Negative experience: I never received a refund from this place after cancelling a booking for badminton session although I have spoken to the staffs and sent emails regarding this issue. The staffs don't care at all after they have received your money.

Positive experience: Excellent gym but classes are always booked, so if you're joining for classes, it's not a good idea. Too few, always full.

Positive experience: Used to be great value but recent price rises and lack of offers slowly pricing themselves out Good staff, small gym but sifficent Good pool and seems clean, showers need a temperature control as the kids do not like very hot showers with no ability to change that

Fantastic experience: Amazing quality bacon rolls and coffee! all fully disposable paperwear.

Negative experience: Under-equipped gym. Apart from cycle and treadmills there’s only one of each machine. Very small weight area.

Fantastic experience: As amazing and supportive as ever

Negative experience: Unfortunately having to leave a bad review here as my experience with the toddler swimming lessons were awful. The lifeguard is extremely rude and not good with the children. The children (ages 3/4) have to sit on a step whilst waiting their turn and have nothing to do. I saw the lifeguard telling my son off for letting go of his noodle etc whilst waiting his turn yet when he was running into the pool he did nothing and I wasn’t allowed in. I wouldn’t recommend for your children! I don’t feel safe or happy to bring my child back. Also trying to get hold of people on reception by phone/email is impossible.

Fantastic experience: My two boys started level 1 swimming at this leisure centre 3 weeks ago and the swim teacher/ instructor is absolutely brilliant. My two boys love her, she is so enthusiastic and engaging. Thank you for being so great x

Fantastic experience: Went for my choir practice, so didn't see much, only has 2 disabled car spaces which doesn't help much

Fantastic experience: My grandson uses this venue for swimming lessons where he is getting very good. The teacher is very understanding as my grandson is deaf.

Negative experience: My son was on a summer group and he was bullied and and the member of staff max instead of helping decided to pick on my sons self image issues and talk to him about how to loose weight. My son isn’t overweight. He has dismorphia. The staff here are beyond unprofessional! Don’t trust them with your children!

Fantastic experience: Aqua fit was FAB great teacher, but pool needs a good clean

Fantastic experience: Brilliant staff helped with setting up a membership, explained the ins and outs. Visiting with 2 children the learner pool is really warm and perfect for the little people

Fantastic experience: Kind, friendly staff, high quality pool

Positive experience: Ladies Lane swimming. 7 till 8 pm. £5 nice and quiet. Staff were friendly. We were told we could stay past 8pm but there was a scheduled lesson/club at 8pm so we actually could not stay longer. Also the club arrived at 7:45 and stood at the side of the pool until everyone In the pool felt awkward and left. I did however stay till 8pm.

Negative experience: This place has really gone downhill recently. Used to be good, but staff are so rude and unhelpful. Always having to wait at reception and they just don't come! I dared to comment on this last time and the receptionist basically had a go at me. I won't be back.

Negative experience: Swimming lessons are quite good but could be more personalised. Had problems with the booking system more than once, plus some really bad customer service (hence the 1 star rating). Shame, because in general the facilities serve the local community well.

Fantastic experience: Perfect pool, facilities, and staff. Clean, great temperature water, really friendly lifeguards, and a good price.

Negative experience: After the pandemic they changed the swimming teachers and the first level one is terrible. More than 10 lessons and my kid still has not tried diving. they are mixing two levels and I am basically wasting my money. She does not try to convince him or other methods to encourage him or spend 5 minutes with him to teach him properly. I guess we are cash cows and they just want us to keep paying. We will move somewhere else after the end of term. The first level teacher used to be so good, my oldest one was diving after 2 or 3 lessons. Of course that was at the time that the teachers were in the water with them individualising the lesson to every kid needs.

Fantastic experience: Go here for swimming for over a year and the family pool is amazing for the little one to learn to swim. Get atmosphere and friendly staff. Only little niggle is some time can be busy in changing rooms but nout major overall fully recommend going and trying the place. Also the gym is well equipped and cleaned. Little bit annoyed recently leaner pool seems neglected and a chore not maintained...disappointing

Negative experience: After 30 min waiting for second day in a row first day the staff in reception was busy and today he was not in reception for 34 min.I wanted to join the gym but now, I have doubts,really disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Mainly used the fitness suite here and it's generally good enough for my needs. Mostly quiet gym with a maximum of 6 people using it whenever I've been. Showers and changing rooms are clean and have mirrors, hairdryers and lockers. Old £1 coin or shopping trolley coin needed for lockers. Staff helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Excellent sports hall for badminton etc. Well kitted out gym and they even have a special "fun session" for swimming with kids at the weekend. Good clean changing rooms and efficient staff.

Positive experience: Took my daughter to a football/dodgeball party here. Facilities were pretty good for that.
