Negative experience: Went to see Milton Jones. You would have thought that they would make sure the toilets (both male & female) had handwash and either working hand driers or paper towels available, knowing there was an event on.....

Negative experience: Fitness classes oversubscribed, so very difficult or impossible to get a booking. Needs more instructors

Fantastic experience: Had fun and games with the 'Headway' group.

Fantastic experience: Seen Jimmy Carr. Was a good night staff did brill job organising it. Venue had a good vibe

Negative experience: Join another gym in Kendal! Problem after problem with membership, no help from Reception. No sign of gym staff to help in the gym……….avoid!

Positive experience: We wanted to take our 6 month old swimming last week and despite calling the day before to check we could go anytime we were given incorrect information about the pools. Just a heads up that the phone number takes you through to head office and they told us that we could swim at any time in the main pool with our baby but we needed to book if we wanted the little pool. We were happy with the main pool so arrived ready to swim but were promptly turned away at the desk being told swimming was adults only at that time. Absolutely not the fault of the reception team working at the time I would add but she suggested it was a common occurrence that head office give out incorrect information so just a word of warning if hoping to swim with kiddies.

Fantastic experience: Tom Allen very direct and funny,especially liked EJ skit on premier boarding. Bar prices were cheap and provided ice and slice and recycling on self serve basis. Stand up Pete great warm up act. Parked a couple of streets away.

Negative experience: The gym is very poorly equipped for the price. Very small. Building is confusing and for example the toilet is so far from the gym doesn’t make any sense. Not very good maintained overall. No boxing bag which is a big disappointment for me. Let’s see how’s the sauna and the pool

Negative experience: If you would like to buy drink or snack, the only way is to pay at reception. But often there is no one there. Why did they got rid of vending machines???

Negative experience: Only 2 rowing machines, which are broken and older than me. Charged us £10 each even though the website says £5 for under 18 and a discount for students. Wouldn’t give us a refund unless we downloaded the app, signed up, bought a membership, and then paid Again. However this would mean anyone under 18 would need to pay £10 for an induction which takes an hour. Wouldn’t recommend!

Negative experience: Went on sat 2nd March.beatles tribute group were fantastic .shame about the venue bloody freezing cold it was 3.c only two poxy heaters in a massive sports hall .cumbria council should hang their heads .never seenan audience keep their coats on all night truly awful place if ther was a minus one that's what it would get

Negative experience: If you love to swim in a place that has people who think there practising for the Olympics in the fast lanes and getting shingles after been in the water that then makes you think if it even has chlorine in it then this place is an amazing place for a dip

Fantastic experience: A very nice atmosphere round the centre people going into swimming etc ,food was available for you to buy.I was there for a model railway ex organised by Kendal mrc which showed a good variation of railway layouts also had a good variation of materials tools, railway items at various scales for you to obtain this is a yearly event for them.

Negative experience: Pleasant clean facilities, nice reception staff. Completely ruined by rude, obnoxious pool area staff. I was wanting to sit at poolside spectator steps for my partner, was given attitude and interrogation by nasty guy as to what I was doing there, why I wanted to watch my partner. Was happy to come regularly, I am unable to swim at moment due to ill health, but this particularly nasty staff member has almost put me off going again. I previously ignored other people's negative warnings about some staff here.

Fantastic experience: Only use the swimming pool. Some people moaned it was too cold. But for me it was ideal. I don't want to come out of a swimming pool sweating.

Fantastic experience: The staff and instructors are really nice, they're very friendly and approachable. Nice atmosphere and the whole place is very clean. Great choice of gym.

Positive experience: Super helpful staff at the desk, and inside the premises. 6£ for a swim (for as long as u want) or even just a shower for 3£. Not the cheapest ive come across but really worth it, since its in a lovely area. Plenty of changing rooms and spacious for people to walk around, lockers, but not many showers, also they are mixed and i just wish there were a ladies and a mens one. The swimming pool area was clean and the lifeguards were always looking out for people :) I also bought myself a swimsuit that costed me 15£, quite pricey but they were on sale this time, and they usually cost around 20-30£.

Fantastic experience: Our experience watching Jimmy Carr here was fantastic. I was completely unsure of what to expect, having usually visited theatres for this kind of event, but the leisure centre wowed me and was perfect on the night. The bar was reasonable and was well-staffed, meaning we didn’t have to queue. The staff themselves were helpful and polite. Our seats were brilliant (tiered), but we decided that there was no seats in the hall that weren’t - the view from everywhere was great. The sound was brill, and Mr. Carr himself was unbelievable, as expected. However, the whole intimacy of the venue was what I loved the most. There’s just something about seeing a live performance in a smaller hall that feels more personal. I’d totally recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Went there first time today. First time for a long time in any gym and was surprised how polite, helpful and professional the team on site is. They made us feel welcome. Equipment is solid and plenty enough for everyone. Sauna is great. It feels great to be back. Highly recommended.

Positive experience: I visited here for the model train fair as my son is train mad. The event itself seemed very well organised with lots of different layouts to be seen and plenty of stalls for him to look at to get ideas for his own layout. The leisure centre itself was very clean and the pool looked very inviting from above. I had no interaction with the centre staff so could not comment on them.

Positive experience: Great to watch new films I travelled up to watch 14 peaks and wow. But nothing on the ticket said about two different places. So be careful to allow time if in wrong place as was 15min walk, luckily everyone done the same thing so they delayed the start.

Positive experience: Ulverstons Leisure centre gym is part of the 'Better UK' chain. The gym is currently located in the covered tennis courts area, the machines are well spaced allowing social distancing and cleaning facilities are available to wipe down machines pre/post use. The changing rooms are a short walk from the gym in another building, if you need to refill your water bottle you have to go there to do this.

Fantastic experience: Don't want to leave a bad review, as the centre itself is great. But Better (the people who run it) have taken two lots of payments from myself for swim sessions that were subsequently cancelled and stated it's non-refundable. Tried emailing and calling but just get through to an automated voicemail. Shame really as it's such a good place.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely can't fault the staff in this place. They have been doing an amazing job all things considered through Covid etc. They have been so helpful and friendly. My little boy Absolutely loves his swimming lessons too.

Fantastic experience: Aug 2020, visited during Covid. How amazing are the staff here, other than wrapping me up in cotton wool I don't think they could of made me feel any more at ease or safer. Place was also Immaculately clean. The showers are super powerful and there is a handy little costume dryer in the changing rooms.. Thank you Kendal leisure centre and all the staff..
