Fantastic experience: I've recently joined Fusion Gym and am absolutely loving it. The staff are very welcoming & friendly. I'm doing the classes mainly, and all the instructors are fantastic. I haven't used the gym, pool & sauna yet as it's my first month and I'm concentrating mainly in the studio classes doing Yoga & Pilates but I will soon explore and try new things as well as the Wells branch as soon as I get a chance. So far I'm beyond happy & satisfied. Great investment in my health & well-being. Thank you so much

Negative experience: This fusion company is rubbish and should be shut down and smash it to the ground and then turn it into a puregym or a remake of sedgemoor splash.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place to take little ones and very clean .

Negative experience: Purchased a kids session as the main pool was closed for oap’s only. Our session lasted for 15 minutes as the life guard closed the kids pool and told us to go in the main pool. A second lifeguard told it is was closed off to kids. Asked for a refund and was met with rudeness from the counter staff. Avoid this place is my advice.

Positive experience: Changing rooms need a renovation but the pool itself is great

Negative experience: Still have to book hourly sessions which we did 11 - 12 family swim. On arrival told its a cash free business now so no way of changing money to get pound coins for the lockers. Once in the changing rooms you are locked out of the pool by a metal gate this was not opened by staff until 11.10 so we already lost ten minutes of our hour. The pool still had lane signs up and two lanes roped off so my children who are still learning couldn't do widths of the pool. I obviously wrongly assumed as laned swimming was the hour before that family swimming would mean the whole pool would be accessible. The pool itself is in need of repair as there are several chipped tiles and an area where the drain on the side looks to have dropped. Staff were quick to blow the whistle at 12 even though we weren't allowed in until 11.10. Overall I wouldn't recommend this pool for a family swim as we were very disappointed especially having spent many Sundays here in the past with our older children without issue. Such a shame

Positive experience: Clean pool. Our boy is having lessons with Harry and he is getting on so much better than his previous teacher in Wells.

Fantastic experience: Sauna is good. Pool is good. Staff are good.

Negative experience: Broken lockers, no keys or wristbands. Old and run down I bought a sauna which was very hot. NO COLD SHOWER. No cold drinking water. Fountain “under maintenance”. Manager said she’d send me a credit to another leisure centre. Lifeguard eventually found a cold shower in the disabled. When I asked at reception About my complimentary sauna was told it had been removed because I didn’t leave the facility immediately. That’s no way to treat customers! NOT IMPRESSED

Fantastic experience: Lovely warm shallow pool for young children, and the main pool is cooler and deeper but they don't allow it to get to full of people.

Negative experience: A complete waste of money. I signed up online and went to have a try and look round. Found out you need to book to go for a swim which is a pain to say the least. Staff do not explain policies properly, I was not informed about cancelling online let alone for them to take another months payment from me. I cancelled within 2 weeks of joining having been once. There’s no refund or explaination, staff do not call back or try to help. Charging me over £120 for going once is just unbelievable. Do Not make this mistake.

Negative experience: Total rubbish. Staff are worse than doctor's receptionists whilst trying to book an appointment for swimming, COVID is the excuse for them to rip off the public. Can't even cancel bookings on the app, which is typical of this organisation.

Negative experience: Impossible to book classes when not a member, the phone is never answered, when you call in the Gym to book there is hardly anyone there, when there is a member of staff they are rude and unhelpful, how they're holding a job down with these attitudes beggers belief..... Save your energy and go somewhere else.

Positive experience: Good pool but its always busy during lane swimming

Fantastic experience: Very good swimming tutors, my daughter has been attending swimming lessons and in such a small amount of time she has learned so much and has become very confident, so thankyou to everyone at Strode swimming pool.

Positive experience: As good as the day it opened. They have finally removed the cold showers that spray you on the way in. The showers would not heat up however. So freezing cold shower after swimming it was!

Fantastic experience: family pool good helpful staff and a good place to get fit

Negative experience: £24 pounds for 2 adults and 2 kids to swim for 50 minutes?! What a joke! It's hardly worth getting kids all changed...

Fantastic experience: Have to book online,prices have gone up since covid restrictions, unfortunately where u have to book online they sell out very quick so u cant always book. Lockers are £1 but lots are broken and get stuck. The pool itself is cold but the the main pool is good for older children who are confident or can reach the floor but it does get very deep . My kids enjoy it as its deep so they jump in .

Negative experience: I used to love coming to this pool as a child and would still love to bring my children here, however since reopening after covid the prices are extortionate.

Positive experience: The small pool is a great place for children to learn to swim.

Positive experience: Had a nice lane swim, was quite busy. Same old strode pool although now £8 per 50min session! Feels a bit expensive to me.

Positive experience: Usually a good swim and sauna. Sometimes problems with heating the water, but normally ok. Parking has always been adequate. Some recent refurbishment helps. I will return when it re-opens.

Negative experience: Had a nice time here with my mate wasn't many people so there was plenty of space but the pool was freezing and a little dirty, they also need to put a sign outside saying card only.

Negative experience: Extremely poor. Cancelled a session without notice. Refused a refund and denied my booking even when i sent the booking confirmation. Useless on the phone. Better off swimming in the king sedgemoor drain.

Positive experience: Updated. Been again resently the small pool was roasting hot! A little too hot for my little one but once she got. Used to it she was OK the down side to this was when she got out she got cold quickly. Still good place to go! Great place to take small babies. Lifeguards are great and thoughtful. All staff are nice lovely and warm. Only down side is they need another baby seat but great place.

Positive experience: Positives: spacious (full size) adult pool plus separate kids’ one. Large changing rooms. Usually ample lane swimming available. Free variations behind building. Area w tables & chairs for waiting looking into kids’ pool. Negatives: Staff not well trained in courtesy! Quite expensive (£6.20) for one swim. THEY DO NOT TAKE CASH. Or provide change for lockers. Take a pound coin (or similar size token) with you or you’ll have to buy one for £2. Changing rooms don’t have many cubicles. Showers often cold. Toilets don’t seem to be cleaned often. Overall: it’s fine if you don’t expect anything too grand!

Positive experience: Great equipment, nice staff, but building isn't fit for purpose and the place never gets cleaned.

Positive experience: I like the place but the changing rooms are grimy. It doesnt have that swimming pool smell anywhere and i dont think changing rooms are checked throughout the day. Floors always slimey and bits everywhere. Showers are dreadful, cold, poor pressure and stay on for about 5 seconds per press. But the cleanliness is the biggest let down.

Negative experience: Currently having the changing rooms renovated so they give you a small make shift box at the end of the pool to change in, no lockers and only one mirror. I understand the need to carry on trading whilst work is being undertaken but you can not expect people to pay full prices for such a poor experience. ☹️ Sort it our Strode!

Positive experience: All the staff are doing a really great Job under difficult circumstances

Negative experience: Cant ever get through on phone . Website is a joke why can't it just tell me opening times of the pool I don't want to do a bliming class . An water is always cold ... 1 out of 5

Positive experience: Good pool

Positive experience: Visited for Sun morning swim. Parking at side which is refunded on entry if you take small ticket stub in with you. £1 for locker and 20p hairdryer. No cash accepted after end Sept 2019. Large main pool and small training/children's pool. Gym facilities also available and sauna. Showing slight signs of cosmetic work needed but clean and tidy.

Positive experience: Warmer than goldenstones with Glastonbury round the corner.

Negative experience: Head office is very difficult to get hold of and cannot speak to someone to discuss an issue regarding my membership whatsoever. Only communication is through texts which is highly unprofessional and very robot like in my opinion! Shocking service... Would not recommend to anyone at all!

Negative experience: Average facilities and lazy staff. Quite often get here and have to wait around for my card to get scanned even though there's two staff on reception and two tills. One will just say wait a moment while they twiddle their thumbs and the other one goes into a long discussion about swimming lessons with a parent. They don't care about wasting other peoples time or being efficient and well run. You can tell a new member of staff as they aren't quiet as useless, but after a few months in the environment they become like the rest. Don't be surprised if you have to ask a member of staff to move out of the way on the stairs while they just dawdle around and don't have the know how to move out of the way while causing an obstruction. Also expect to get sprayed at by a member of staff "cleaning" the changing room floor, despite the rest of the room unsprayed and empty they decide to just spray someone and their belongings rather than using common sense. The gym is decent, if not a bit small but annoying how they often have the windows open and air con on - do one or another else it's useless. Things breaking are regular and every day the sauna goes off at 6-7pm and you have to ask reception to turn it back on. They never apologise and are often slow to turn it back on, so quite often have to go without. It's on a 12 hour timer and turn it on in the morning so they know it will go off again in the evening. Pool is ok, a bit dirty but not the worst I've used. They don't care, there's no competition in the area. It's not through a lack of funding they could get decent management in.

Positive experience: This pool is okay, the pool is full of dirt and hair and nails , the staff are alright and we had a snobby woman that was having a bit of a argument with us about the fusion swimming cards. if your going up the viewing platform in the main pool its boiling don't wear winter gear. the changing room are some what clean. shower can get really hot. if you go to the car park across the road of the pool its so expensive and if you go down by the college its free and if you down the ramp by the pool there is a car park CHEAP and when yu get your ticket there is a bit you can pull off do that and you can get that of your swim

Negative experience: One of the receptionist plays a petty powergame with me - goes out of her way to put my card on the surface ignoring my hand and making it a bit more difficult to pickup. She does this just to me and very unprofessional for a middle aged woman who really needs to grow up. Probably because I'm on benefits and she's made an unpleasant judgement call. They've reduced the hours the pool is open and the sawna is always going off. Happy to move out of the area as they have a monopoly.

Positive experience: It is a nice pool. I take my 3 month old daughter there swimming from time to time. The shallow area for kids is nice a contained well away from the deeper pool thats for adults and older kids. I do think the kids pool could be warmer as my daughter doesnt move go much to doesnt keep warm very well. It seem to have a few groups to go to but not really looked to much into it. just a shame there isnt a cafe to have something to eat at only a vending machine.

Negative experience: Unhygienic rooms, non cleaned gym, suffocation in the gym, scam through referral offer.

Negative experience: So i took my son here today and was shocked to see just how run down it was yet they still charge you the same as if you were going into a modern pool ie goldenstone yeovil. Nothing has really changed since i was a child 80s-90s the changing rooms were ok but the toilet area was dirty and falling apart, the tiles above basin had more holes than a second hand dart board. The main pool was so dark and depressing i have no idea why anyone would enjoy doing lengths here, everything was just old and gloomy, small pool was a little brighter but so much grouting and silicone missing from the tiles it just looked terrible. The only postive thing i can say about this place was the childs pool was very warm which is perfect for little ones and probably the only reason why any parent were take there kids here. Something really needs to improve because you cant charge anything for this depressing environment and to think it share its name with the collage, shocking

Positive experience: This is a lovely little leisure centre, it’s quite small, but manages well with a 2 storey gym, a separate mirrored room for exercise classes, a shallow children’s pool and a large main deeper pool. There are plenty of classes to choose from, in and out of the water. There are always at least 2 lifeguards on duty in the big pool and one in the smaller pool. The changing rooms could do with some updating. There is also a seating area with vending machines (food and drink) that overlook the smaller pool and a spiral staircase that leads you to a balcony that overlooks the main pool. There is a small car park attached to the Leisure Center and as long as you are using the leisure facilities, you can claim your parking fee back by showing your ticket stub.

Positive experience: Good swimming pool, nice and warm in the smaller pool perfect for younger children learning to swim as they can reach the bottom as its shallow. Changing rooms could have larger cubicles (less open plan) also an option for family changing room. We enjoyed our swim here even in the bigger pool.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place for a swim, 2 pools cater for the young and old

Positive experience: I take my son here occasionally to swim. It wasn't great when he was tiny as the learner pool was often too cold, but now he's bigger and it's summer it's much better for us. They recently redid the small pool so it is much nicer, though the tiles around the edge are still sloped at an odd angle for littlies to be walking on. The changing room is still my bugbear. It is nice to have a little baby playpen to pop my son in but this means I have to change in the open in direct line of the door as everyone walks in. They've been the same since I was a kid, don't know why they don't just convert to cubicles

Fantastic experience: Grandson is learning to swim he is doing really well all the instructors do a really good job and the grandson all ways looks forward to his lessons.

Positive experience: The small pool has recently been refurbished and is much warmer than it was before. Main pool is cooler but still a reasonable temperature. Good value.
