Negative experience: EDIT as cannot respond to pure gym below: I did email gym management about this issues and 5 business days later have not had a response or confirmation of receiving the email. In addition to this, another TWO of my classes have been cancelled this week (circuits Sunday and cycle Monday) I suppose I can consider myself lucky as at least they actually notified me this time. You get what you pay for I suppose. Classes get canceled without notifying attendees which is extremely frustrating and annoying, yet members get penalised if they do not show up to the class.

Negative experience: I am really disappointed. First at all the baned me without talk with me when I workout daily there. I came to the gym to speak with the member staff when should be one from 8:00 am the person that talk with me couldn’t help me and told me someone come at 10 i waited two hours no one came. Try to call and email didn’t work

Fantastic experience: Excellent GYM, The facilities are mostly clean and tidy and it is easy to navigate

Negative experience: One day it allows entry and was included in my membership access. Then another day it refused access. No help to understand the problem on the app or on-site. The ease of access to support when something goes wrong is what I’m basing the rating on.

Negative experience: This used to be an ok gym for the money but the last several months it has completely gone downhill. The music system as been broke for over a month - you feel like you’re walking into a funeral; the machines aren’t properly lubricated; the clips to the cable machines you need to look everywhere except the cables and the amount of dirt is completely unacceptable. Like working out, management needs to stop making excuses and start showing results.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Very convenient and easy to use. Lots of free classes. Exceptional customer care from managers - Michael and Rushai. They both go extra mile and really care about gym. I've been visiting this gym since 2013 and can wholeheartedly say that the current gym management is the best I've seen. Recommended.

Fantastic experience: Me being near to 60 years old and told I have high blood pressure and cholesterol gave me incentive to come to the gym although I am more a country and beach walker. Being a newbie had no idea what to do in the end I explained that I had health issues and was recommended PT Valentina who has been a great help. With her help I am able to curb my big appetite and following her strength program and I am slowly seeing the benefits and hopefully my health will improve once I see the doctor and that I stay mobile for the rest of my life on earth. The staff are very positive and happy. The gym does get busy but what do you expect. They keep the place clean and tidy. Thank you guys

Negative experience: Decent gym but costumer service is lacking. I tried contacting them to buy one day access but the phone number that's listed just has an answering machine saying they don't accept phone calls. Then when I reach out on fb messenger they announce a 12hr wait for answers. And on the website I can't find anything about buying one day access without cancelling my current subscription at another branch

Negative experience: Decent gym with all the necessary equipment. The problem is that it’s always packed and you need to wait quite a bit before being able to use a machine. I tried being there as early as 7am and as late as 9pm. Crowded

Positive experience: Refill the hand sanitiser. Otherwise a good spacious gym. Toilets are often overflowing.

Positive experience: Lots of machines but didn't like the vibe. It felt a bit too busy (I went at lunchtime, it was at 70%+ capacity, weights room maybe higher than that). Changing rooms etc were fine.

Positive experience: Nice staff but women’s toilets are gross. No need to have filthy brushes and broken locks and toilet roll holders given the company profits

Positive experience: Spacious gym. Never too crowded But no mobile signal for Vodafone and the WiFi is terrible!

Negative experience: I am convinced there is no ventilation in this gym, when we arrived it reeked of bo and it stayed in one area of the gym for ages even when there was no one there. it was so small too and there was no music playing at all, VERY AWKWARD if you spoke to loud everyone would hear you and i mean everyone in the gym. i get why it’s the cheapest pure gym near clapham

Fantastic experience: Not the biggest gym in the area, but it’s decent, people are friendly and the trainers positive. The free-weights basement area does need a bit of TLC. They still have some cleaning stations that other local gyms sadly removed over a year ago.

Fantastic experience: Great spin class, very good instructor.

Negative experience: I just showed up for a cycling class I booked for two weeks in advance to say the printer broke so anything goes and my booking isn’t valid. I rushed here after work and planned my busy schedule around this. Not to mention the classes are why I pay more monthly. Do better.

Fantastic experience: I really like to workout here everything are good the only thing you need to improve is the air conditioning downstairs

Positive experience: Popped in around midnight on the weekend, its nice enough gym, seems to have more equipment than most of the pure gyms I've been to (t court Road, Beckton, Shoreditch ect) but daymn they loose 2 stars coz the bathroom nasty, some one vomited in the sink and just left it there like the disgusting human being they are, they do clean the place twice a day, you can see the chart i posted, but i think they may need to up that to 4 times a day due to the local "ruffians" as one would say

Negative experience: Most of the wiping stations have been removed (0 downstairs in free weights area) - why? cost savings? Toilets are often filthy, especially on weekends, and soap dispensers usually empty so install another. Mens toilets /urinals often overflowing. Recent investment in additional equipment = 2 stars.

Negative experience: Limited or broken equipment. Messy. Think it’s largely due to the poor gym etiquette of its patrons.

Positive experience: Great local Pure at a good price. Modern and spacious, toilets could be cleaner.

Fantastic experience: I visited Lambeth PureGym with a friend today and had a very positive experience! The gym is clean and well spaced-out, the machines are not on top of one another and there is plenty of functional exercise space. My only suggestion would be for cleaning spray to be more easily accessible in the basement free-weights area. We spoke with two members of staff including a PT who were both very friendly and offered help - many thanks for a great workout! Would recommend.

Positive experience: I frequent this gym on a regular basis and compared to other gyms I have frequented this is nothing special the reason I use this gym is that it is convenient for my travel from home to work. On the day I go to different sites I use different gyms

Negative experience: Always weights left everywhere and very little care taken to either discipline those who do it or clean up after those who leave it.

Fantastic experience: Clean and with no many people when I visit it.

Positive experience: Decent gym for the price, not perfect, but for a London gym of this size, it's got a decent range of of machines, although it would be nice to see a few platted machines (for main movement back and chest etc). Two main things i find annoying, firstly the attachments, lack of variation, but mainly the ridiculously loose rubber grip on ALL of the lat pull down bars, making it awkward and uncomfortable to move any real weight. Secondly, and to me the worst thing by far, is the fact that so many guys do not, and will not, put weights back. Every single time i go, there are plates and dumbbells all over floor, with multiple heavy plates left on bars and machines. Do these guy's consider the other uses, especially the weaker members or some females that might struggle to remove them? Obviously not. I've trained in gyms all over, and never experienced that level of disrespect for other users. if you're strong enough to lift it, you should be strong enough to put it back. I'm a big believer that the ones seen continuously doing this and leaving the place a mess on a regular basis should have there membership revoked, at least for that particular gym

Positive experience: Gym is very nice, i go in at night to avoid creeps, but it seems they are there 24/7.

Positive experience: Good gym nice set up and friendly atmosphere but not enough machines or attachments to train your back.

Negative experience: Nice gym but I had this bad experience with this one lady called Cami. I asked her for assistance and she was so rude and cold. I was doing sets and she came and interrupted my set and said she needed to show her client something which i thought was very rude as she used her authority of working there to over ride my sessions. She is not very welcoming when she is on the gym floor she has a rude face one you couldn’t approach and is not like the other staff members who are welcoming.

Fantastic experience: The gym is spacious, clean and well ventilated. A large variety of equipment and excellent value for money. I live close by so I haven’t used the changing rooms/toilets and I don’t participate in classes so I can’t comment on these. It’s a really comfortable work out environment, the app is easy to use and the sign up process is effortless. Very happy with the club! Thank you to the team at PureGym Lambeth .

Negative experience: The worst PureGym in London. So much empty space. Not enough free weights, benches, Olympic bars, etc. definitely no recommended at all

Negative experience: Twisty grips on all the pull up bars, it really is so annoying you can't reach your max rep because of bad quality grips... They also need a free weight lat pulldown.

Positive experience: It's exactly what it's called. A pure gym. No space to relax or walk around much. Everywhere is full of gym equipments apart from a space in the middle for floor exercise. Another thing to note is there is no single punching bag for boxing or mma enthusiasts.

Negative experience: Hands down the worst PureGym in London. Where to start? Toilets: do the toilets ever get cleaned? Smells horrific Hand sanitizers: most of them are empty Cleaning spray: again empty Cleaner: she uses a feather brush and swipes the air, no joke will video next time People: no gym etiquette- no one bothers putting the weights back or clean after use . Every machine smells like stench Trainers: this is the worst part the trainers are rude and are supposed to set examples for normal gym etiquette but instead they are the ones that also never put the weight back nor clean up - just care about being juiced up PureGym - please look into this…

Positive experience: Good gym with plenty of space and loads of equipment

Positive experience: This is a decent gym for the price that you pay. £30 a month for access to it and lots of others around the country. The equipment is in reasonably good condition and the range covers most of the basics. There is a decent downstairs free weights section, with a couple of lifting platforms and squat racks. It gets very busy at peak times, so I tend to go late in the evening. Better than the nearby, and much more expensive, Clapham one.

Positive experience: Standard budget gym. Usually clean, bright, plenty of equipment.

Negative experience: Terrible even with the door issues they don't have anyone to help with the doors to get inn and still have wait for long periods of time

Fantastic experience: I have attended cycle classes many times at this gym I find them ok but not as fun, however today the cycle class I attended was run by Nathan Owusu The class was the BEST, fun, full of positivity, encouragement, intensity and joy! The music was One of the best cycle classes I have attended. Please provide more cycle classes Nathan! I have also attended Nathan’s circuit and absolute abs classes on some Fridays they are fantastic. We need more passionate & bubbly PTs like Nathan which unfortunately there isn’t much of. I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on such fantastic cycle classes. You are an asset to Lambeth Pure GYM Nathan!

Positive experience: This gym is pretty good for the price. It has all the basics. Take your own padlock to securely use the lockers. Air con could do with being a little cooler - in the summer it's very hot in here

Negative experience: Claim to have increased hygiene measures due to covid but no one is doing it, including staff and personal trainers. I'm the only person wearing a mask even though there are signs everywhere that we need to wear them. No one puts equipment away, including staff and trainers, and no one cleans equipment after using it. Not enough free weights. There's a drip from the ceiling at the entrance that hasn't been fixed in over a year. This place is gross.

Fantastic experience: Spacious lots of equipment throughout the facility

Negative experience: Worst PureGym I have ever been to. After numerous complaints to the management over teh last 6-8 weeks nothing has changed. Not enough equipment only one deadlifting platform, two squat racks, no attachments for the cable machines. Dirty- I have shown the manager and other PTs evidence of this. Members leaving weights all over the place. PTs only caring about the money made from their clients and not about the gym floor. No one wearing masks, surely not all the PTs are exempt? It is actually PureGym guidance to wear a mask around the gym which can be removed when in a specified box. It now effects my mood even to be in this establishment and I have decided I will not be returning here and will accept I will have to increase my journey time to go to another PureGym.

Fantastic experience: Best pure gym I've ever been to and one the best gyms in general! Really spacious and plenty of machines always available. I cycle and the bike racks outside always have space and can be watched from the treadmills at the front of the gym

Fantastic experience: The facilities are great, the biggest bonus is that its open 24hrs so you can use the gym around your time.

Positive experience: I usually went to the gym weekday mornings for classes or on my own weekend mornings. Clean change rooms with required amenities. Better ventilation requires though, in winter, when I would enter, my glasses would immediately fog up. Gross if you think about it. In February, a staff member asked if I was new because she had not seen me before. Its nice to be noticed. I just had a month long holiday, that's all. Just before lock down there were sprays and paper towels visibly available.

Positive experience: I joined in 2017 because this place came as part of a deal with my health insurance plus it's on my doorstep so I thought I'd give it a go. Unfortunately I hardly ever managed to go on a regular basis and eventually cancelled my subscription because the place is always crazy busy unless you go at ungodly hours! The crowd is very young and kids are always occupying the machines/fitness areas and taking selfies or chatting away so you have to wait forever for your turn. The equipment is hardly enough for the heavy footfall they have, classes are often crowded and the low ceilings make it a bit claustrophobic. I suppose it's an ok option if you're on a very tight budget and you can put up with the annoying crowd but if you're looking for a more relaxed and civilised environment, you're better off somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Classes are very full so it's a bit like sardines in the studio. Can't comment on the free weights section as I don't use it. Good instructors for spin/pump/lbts. Changing facilities have always been clean. Great value for money

Fantastic experience: It's a very good gym been going over a year now. Does get busy at certain times of the day. But if you go after 8:30 it does die down. And its cheaper than other gyms.
