Negative experience: I've been a member at this Better Leisure Centre for a while, but the lack of attention to basic facilities is really disappointing. It's been around 45-50 days since the drinking water fountain on the gym floor stopped working. There’s a "work in progress" sign on it, but every week, only the date on the notice changes—just extending the deadline without any real progress or repair in sight. This is just the drinking water fountain, something simple that you’d expect a gym to prioritize. If the management can’t address something this basic, it really makes you question how well they handle the rest of the facility. I hope this issue gets sorted out soon, but as of now, it’s a pretty clear sign of poor management and lack of care for the members.

Negative experience: Appliances always very dirty. Sometimes are come after two days and the same sweat splash marks or water are on the screens and handles. Ive attended a few times and its been closed at 6am due to staffing issues. Good new facilities though.

Negative experience: Use both branches in hatfield (swim centre and travellers lane) broken machines that haven’t been fixed in 3 months. Unfortunately went swimming in the hatfield pool and now have a viral infection… another family member also caught a cold after visiting the spa…

Negative experience: I was very disappointed after using the gym and coming down to use the sauna and found people from the swimming pool using the facilities for which I paid a membership fee the changing rooms are out of service so you have to be to use the swimming pool to get changed in which I then need to walk Through the swimming pool to gain access the door leading to the sauna .it has a code which is not working so people are taking their children into this area.

Negative experience: £13 for a gym day pass is an absolute rip off. Almost the price of a monthly membership at other gyms.

Negative experience: Indoor Facilities are ok, the 5-a-side football courts are not great though..... They really need to get that sorted. It's also a bit of a gamble with the staff. Some are incredibly nice and helpful like Samantha while others are just not supposed to be in this sort of work....rude, horrible and incredibly unhelpful. There's a particularly toxic guy called Alex who maybe shouldn't be in a front facing role.

Negative experience: Very small gym which i was willing to over look if it wasn't for the rude manager who accused me several times of ignoring the one way system, who got very aggressive and continued to get in my face outside of the gym after believing I had gone the wrong way up a set of stairs, after making several false allegations without any proof and just simply saying I'm a liar I decided to cancel my membership as I don't want to support a business with managers (Alexander) who are that quick and willing to lie in attempt to cover their own pride instead of simply apologizing for a misunderstanding.

Fantastic experience: The gym is operating on a strict booking system and the class places are marked out, allowing for complete safety. I am So glad to be going back to gym classes.

Always an issue with disabled parking bays but maybe one day they will take ownership of the importance of supporting their users with mobility issues and deal with the habitual abusers who even park in the bays with their company vans every week without fail! Maybe I should post photos if the habitual abusers. But for the grace of God.......

Fantastic experience: There are badminton pay as you go sessions through out the week and weekends organised by friendly coaches always on hand to offer tips if required. The centre has dance, gymnastics, trampoline and krav maga classes on most days. Plus the unique roller hockey national champions train there. Plus plus the new, modern gym. Plus, plus, plus the 3G football pitches. Not forgetting the assisted-power gym for those with limited mobility. Be wise. Exercise and socialise...

Positive experience: Nice facilities

Positive experience: Try to ignore the slightly run down facade, this is actually a pretty decent gym (especially for the price)! I've been a member for about a year now and mostly use the squash courts and upstairs gym. It's never too busy and there's always available equipment. Times to go are sunday afternoons or mid afternoon in the week (if the job allows). Look, it's not a David Lloyd. But it isnt half bad.
