Positive experience: Support the local centres it will help improve facilities ( which are not bad but could do with a refresh). The equipment does the job, good classes and lovely atmosphere ( staff) friendly as always in the council run gyms.

Negative experience: Freezing changing rooms, terrible cold showers, delapidated, but with excellent sports facilities. Sauna and steam suite are very run down and smelly with poor showers and terrible, freezing, changing rooms.

Fantastic experience: Went here for a kids party, soft play . Great for kids

Negative experience: I used to visit once in a while to play squash but they decided to get rid of the courts so all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

Positive experience: Great place for exercise with initial free induction to the gym and personal tailored workout. Lots of classes but they book up very quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Positive experience: A decent sized gym with some good equipment. Been here a few times now and the atmosphere inside the gym is okay. Staff at the desk a bit hit and miss with their attitude.

Positive experience: I go to gym. Nice stretch room, somewhat expensive and equipment kind of dates but works. Changing rooms grotty. Lockers no hangers and broken. Easy to get to, parking busy. Staff always friendly and happy )

Positive experience: Almost all the gym equipment is in a poor condition and needs replacing. The gym is like an oven whenever the temperature is over 25 degrees as the aircon is useless.

Fantastic experience: A very welcoming gym and good facilities!

Fantastic experience: Great play center for kids upto 8 years. For £4.65 (current price in April 2023) the kids can run around in an enclosed safe space for as long as they want to & there's a seating area for parents/carers with the exit in sight, so you can make sure your little people stay inside the play room. It does get a bit noisy, but it's a kids play area, so I'd be more concerned if it wasn't!! All in all, I'd recommend Jumbos as a place to entertain your children. :)

Positive experience: I went to Jumbo's, the soft play in the centre, it was good, however, the staff at the entrance was either rude or hungover, because they never replied to the "good morning" nor "goodbye and thank you", I even think they did not even look up when I was saying any of those things, so, I don't see myself going there any time soon again.

Fantastic experience: Popped in on Saturday to look round the facilties and enquire about membership. Facilities are conprehensive, and whilst the building is a little out of date, the equipment looked to be high quality and in good conditon. Staff were excellent ,very knowledgeable, took the time to show us around, weren't "salesy" or pushy about memberships at all, just provided all the info I needed. Went away to consider and then went back later and joined. A lot of more expensive gyms could learn a lot about customer service from the team here.

Receptionists weren’t very helpful, sad attitude, not a smile, one of the girl gave me a paper with the price and that’s it, for sure not encouraging me to do a membership, and I was a potential family membership so… I would recommend to make sure to have at the entrance desk people who want to be there as it is your first window to the public. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: I went to book and pay in advance for a badminton court and I was told as I am not a member I was unable to do this, I couldn't believe it!! I asked why and they said as this discourages people from becoming a member! I was then told that I could book on this occasion, I refused as a principal and told them that this policy definitely would discourage someone from becoming a member. Is there not any other sports centre in the area that is not freedom leisure?

Negative experience: Took my daughter to visit jumbos and there was nothing for her to play with, all the areas designed for younger children were either emptied or used as storage, lift wasn't working so had to carry her upstairs just added to frustration overall all we wanted was a safe space for a 1yr old to be able to play instead we went and got an refund and left. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I go here regularly on Tuesday morning for walking football. It is great for those like me who hung their boots up years ago, thinking no more football. I certainly recommend it for another chance to play the game and for widening your social circle with the friends you will make. Spin-offs like walking cricket, golf, quizzes and a presentation night add to the enjoyment. Tuesday at Bexhill leisure centre from 8.30-1030am.

Positive experience: I took my nephews to use the soft play area Jumbos. The play itself is great, but I think you could benefit from a vending machine or water fountain upstairs, I had forgotten to bring a drink for them (they had one just before we got there and not being a parent myself hadn't realised how quickly they get thirsty on soft play!!) and I couldn't exactly go downstairs and leave them to use the one down there, and besides which they only had fit water rather than normal plain water so when I COULD get them one on way out, they took one sip and then wouldn't drink any more... Overall a great experience, if you fix this one thing it would be a 5* review!

Positive experience: I took my son to Jumbos for a birthday party earlier this month. I found the front desk staff member to be very friendly, approachable and informative. We came over by bus from Hastings, a journey I was dreading, but it was actually very easy to find. The facilities were clean, although a little drab. The Jumbo's area was very dark and my son left quite dusty! He had an AMAZING time though and I was told the hire price for the venue and was very surprised as it was good value for money. It was age appropriate for 7 year olds, I'd probably avoid with a toddler. All in all it was a good visit and we'd definitely consider going again or perhaps booking a party in the future!

Negative experience: I took my nearly one year old daughter to the jumbo soft play area at Bexhill Leisure Centre on 1 November 2018 and I felt disappointed. The lighting in the play area felt too dark for a space that is meant for children. The ground floor area that is designed for younger children doesn't have much equipment or toys that is engaging for a child, and what is available wasn't clean. There was only one other child there, who was playing with her mum in the upstairs section that's designed for older children. My small child just looked lost in the downstairs part and instead of heading into the soft play area just crawled out to me. We left and I asked for a refund, which the reception staff gave me. I felt it was a shame that the facility was not more inviting, especially since it is only one of two in the Hastings and Bexhill area that offers soft play for young children. The £2.50 entrance fee is quite expensive when you compare what you get for £1.50 at a local playgroup.

Fantastic experience: The pool is perfect! especially for little ones not too cold and there's no height restriction on the slide. My daughter is 16 months old and she loves the waves and slide.

Positive experience: Was looking at starting the gym, but with a price of £43 for a not very well equipped gym. Dont think so. Staff were very friendly and informative so they would get a 5 star.

Positive experience: Very overpriced for what you get. The equipment isn't of a massively high quality and feels like it's much cheaper quality than other gyms. There isn't all the equipment that you would expect to find in a gym of this size and price either. The ladies loo smells like urine too. Would be useful too if the lockers and locker keys were numbered too. It's worth having the membership however if you swim too or use the classes.

Positive experience: I have been using the gym for some time now. So far they have fulfilled my expectation. There is always a trainer there in the gym. I found them helpful every time I asked. I have attended some classes and found the trainer motivating. The collection of equipment is not massive however, I always find a machine to workout in most of the days.
