Negative experience: AVOID!!!! What an absolute circus the swimming lessons here are!! Way too many children in each group. The small pool is ridiculously overcrowded having 3 stages in such a small pool so much so that my stage 3 son couldn't swim safely across the pool without bumping into someone. My 4 year old did his 1st lesson in stage 1 and was left bobbing around swallowing pool water whist crying his heart out petrified. Teacher in the pool seemed oblivious, she didn't look much older than 15. The teacher on the side was too busy speaking to staff members to realise my son was struggling. I couldn't do anything as I was stuck in the tiny viewing area which was rammed full ovlf parents. After around 10 minutes of him crying they finally noticed and made him get out the pool ON HIS OWN even though he was in such a state they did nothing to help him. He then spent the rest of the lesson on the side of the pool dithering. Absolute joke. He's now scared to attend again or swim somewhere else. Trying to call and get a refund is almost impossible with no one answering the phones and when they do they say management will call back but they don't. Pool was freezing. Car park was rammed with no spaces and the changing room were full! Meaning having to stand cold for 15 minutes until someone had finished.

Positive experience: Nice centre, shame about the swimming timetable. What’s the point in having a large pool when it’s hardly open!

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to area and joined. Great modern facilities in pool and gym. Lots of other activities. Good cafe and helpful service

Negative experience: Have disabled parking but it is taken up with people who don't have a blue badge and I have to park somewhere else. Very poor.

Negative experience: Not a patch on the glades we had, boring uninviting pool, always closes for lessons etc, can't book on classes always full ones that are available are too in advanced to book, they don't answer the phone to help always end up paying to use a hotel really wish we had our old pool 100%better in every way

Positive experience: Not the cleanest changing rooms but not too bad, lots of annoying kids splashing everywhere, not worth £30 a month membership considering the facilities.

Positive experience: We wanted to take our baby for her first swim and were told there are just two 45 minute slots to use the small pool per week which is ridiculous. Whilst the facilities are decent (car park excluded) the prices are increasing. Getting rid of the Wyre Forest Glades, a leisure centre with character, and replacing it with this copy & paste job of a leisure centre was a mistake for Kidderminster despite what the balance sheets probably suggest. It’s not big enough for the whole of the Wyre Forest.

Negative experience: We visited here 24th February promising our small children fun and a family swim. While most children, don't care about the temperature this time it was painfully unavoidable. Having paid for 2 adults and 2 children to swim, we were only allowed in the large pool. I couldn't even get in the water, I sat on the side for 25 minutes watching the children attempt to play in the unavoidable temperatures of the pool. With purple lips, teeth chattering and dithering everytime they stepped out to warm themselves in the showers situated at the side of the pool. I watched 2 other children sitting on the side, teeth chattering and hugging themselves while watching siblings forcing themselves to make use of the session they have paid for. We chose to travel 30 minutes to Wye Forrest leisure centre as previous visits had proven to be warm/reasonable temperature pool. Not this time. Yet again, like most activities for children we pay out so much money only to be left with a disappointing experience. Never again.

Fantastic experience: Active play and Bounce is a great session for preschoolers, 2hrs of fun and trampolining. Staff are friendly and interact well with the children.

Positive experience: I have been a membership of this leisure centre for a year now. I can’t fault the staff, so friendly and the facilities is good, classes, gym, pool etc. however Since November every week I ask if the steam room is working because it has been down and some receptionist I ask say yes and some say no, then I go to go in and it’s never working! Tonight I have been to a class. Arrived 15 mins early because I know the parking can be horrendous. Eventually parked 10 mins after my class had started when the last class came out. Cars just abandoning their cars. It’s getting worse. Leisure centre needs to think additional parking. Nightmare!

Negative experience: Terrible place. Visit on a Saturday for swimming lessons and it’s chaos every week. They cram in too many classes and children so not enough changing rooms. The communal changing is locked so can’t be used. Angry parents everywhere that can’t find a changing room. Then there’s the car parking. Not enough spaces as they have too many football games on too. Last two weeks have been horrendous with cars just abandoned and queues around the car park. Honestly if you’re considering here I would advise you avoid. We only have a few weeks left for my son to be complete and that’s it. I’ll never visit again.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Maisy, my son is working through his level 3 swimming and sometimes it’s a challenge for him to focus and listen, however Maisy is so patient, calm and understanding with him she always has a smile on her face and never gets frustrated she is a credit to the leisure centre hope a member of the management team see’s this and echos what I’ve said in this review by far the best swimming teacher we could hope for

Positive experience: Very enjoyable, lots to do, my granddaughter really enjoyed it.

Fantastic experience: Good pool. The booking system could be a bit clearer. However, the pool was clean and so were the changing rooms. The pool was quiet, have a feeling the price might have been an influence.

Positive experience: Plenty to do for children and adults. I am usually here taking the children swimming. Lots of changing spaces and generally very clean. With the choice of 2 pools, a larger typical swimming pool and a smaller pool ideal for younger children, you will find exactly what you need. A downside is sessions are in 45 minute blocks, which is never enough time and it does work out fairly expensive for the time allowed compared to other pools I use.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE. Was sold a flexible plan due to unemployment. When I couldn't afford on one particular day charges are nearly double and straight to debt collectors without warning or even a courtesy call.

Positive experience: Water in big pool freezing. Too cold for under 4s and the elderly. Takes your breath away when you first get in. Takes at least a length of the pool to get used to the temperature.

Fantastic experience: Daughters day for gymnastics. Great instruction and interaction. The daughter loves it. It has a soft play, coley cafe, rock climbing, swimming......

Positive experience: The staff and instructors are great. I tried out a few different classes then settled on a couple specifically because the instructors make it so much fun. You don't always feel like going after a hard day but Hannah & Ash really lift your spirits and I always go home hot & sweaty but glad I made the effort. Thanks everyone. The biggest let down is the parking situation. Quite often I've been late for classes because, like the majority of people, I can't find a parking space. I parked on the grass verge outside one day as there was nowhere else to go and got a £30 parking ticket. On this occassion the reception staff were not at all helpful and told me the car park was council owned & nothing to do with the leisure centre. That was a very expensive workout! That weekend, for the local elections, the local councillors parked on the grass verge ... no parking tickets for them I expect!

Positive experience: Reception staff need training on customer service we arrived at 18:55 to 5 members of staff sat in a group chatting so we stood for a few moments before being told to come over i asked for 2 adults for lane swim & sauna use the lady who served me said at 7:45 twice i said no 7-7:45 she then proceeded to keep turning round and joining the conversation with her colleagues which was inappropriate for a paying customer to hear before turning round and telling me 7:45 session is £10.80 for both of you, again i stated i wanted the 7-7:45 session and her response was”oh yes i forgot about that one” at this point i was getting annoyed myself as i was asking something simple eventually i was able to pay for the lane swim and sauna use, but I was never issued a wristband for the sauna and steam room which i did not realise i needed until I was stopped from entering because i did not have one ! So i was annoyed I was charged but could not use them !! I was told to visit reception which when you have already been in the pool means getting changed again which is impractical. I did visit reception on the way out and explained and was told nothing could be done as they had no proof i had not received the wristband, i asked them to review CCTV and was told thats not possible. All in all facilities are great but poor reception staff considering i visited because i was going to take out a membership, i will not be taking out a membership given how i was treated.

Negative experience: Paid for yoga class with my fiancé, when we arrived we realised the room was way too overcrowded, absolutely no place, so we’ve left. 60 people in a half the space as usual and unbooked people was still pushed into the room. We’ve asked for refund, they sent our money back immediately, that is the only positive experience. They explained today was an unfortunate situation, they always have the yoga in a much bigger space, but then there is a serious communication gap, because this should have been brought to people’s attention, not to wait until someone complains. We were considering to get a membership here before the incident, but this is just a huge red flag, ruined the whole experience.

Negative experience: Really disappointed. Facilities in the gym itself are good but the gym is constantly full of pre-teens who just stand around on the equipment not using it. Parking is a nightmare. No thought gone into when classes finish- all at the same time some days. I appreciate the place needs to be busy to survive but this place is ridiculous. Won't be renewing my membership.

Negative experience: Great staff , pity about the pool temperature, its bordering on tap cold , complained several times, been told its 28-9° NO WAY!! Numerous people have also pool temperature is supposed to be warm and comfortable . If you're brave, try a cold water wet suit

Fantastic experience: We use the climbing wall on a regular basis. The grades can be lower compared to other centres however having a lovely little more heat and friendly staff outways many others

Negative experience: Soft play chaotic, unclean and not big enough for the parents to supervise their children. Definitely not big enough for 65 children, under 5 area is limited and not stimulating enough for under 3's. Very disappointing

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended, definitely book before hand, though the website can be a bit confusing. The baby (teaching) pool is 90cm deep, and perfect temperature for little ones, and to keep the big kids out. They supply pool noodles to play with. And weekdays aren't so busy. Gym has a good range but is quite small compared to others in kidderminster. Had a foot ball astro turf which is nice. And kids soft play which is great for parties. And of course the climbing wall for kids over 5 years. All round a great place!

Negative experience: Pool is chaos. They have three wide lanes for lane swimming which has zero pace/speed structure leading to breastsrokers and slow swimmers in the fast lane. If you have any inent of swimming well then avoid this pool as you'll spend your time avoiding slow swimmers who have zero pool etiquette.

Fantastic experience: My grandson and I had a lovely hour here. I was trying to teach him to swim and he was attempting to drown me. Good fun in a very well run venue

Fantastic experience: Lovely training pool that was 90cm high and nice and warm which is great for teaching little ones to swim. Next to it is a larger pool with lanes. The changing rooms are very clean.

Positive experience: Took granddaughter today for an adventure on the climbing wall. Very good and kind instructor. A good hour well spent and enjoyed

Negative experience: I used to go here all the time to use the steam room or sauna for about £3.70, but I went here yesterday to use the steam room and now they’re charging people £9.00+ to use such facilities. When I asked why they increased the price so high, the receptionist said to me that “people always sneak in to use the swimming pool when they book the steam room or sauna [and so, decided to] include the swimming pool fee [in the increased charge of £9.00+]” which I think is unfair, because it penalises people who genuinely just want to use the steam room or sauna and not the swimming pool; it forces people to pay for something that they’re not going to use. I almost paid for the £9.00+ fee to use the steam room or sauna, even though I knew that I didn’t want to use the swimming pool, but I figured that there are cheaper options out there. Their claim that people “sneak in” seems to be a lie as well, because I’ve never seen a person in the steam room or sauna who was not wearing a green bracelet, which is usually the indicator that they have access to use such facilities; with that said, I wondered if my encounter with the receptionist happened because I was being racially targeted since I seem to be the only Asian woman who go to Wyre Forest Leisure Centre. Nonetheless, their values have definitely changed, since Wyre Forest Leisure Centre used to operate for the people—ensuring fair access to fitness facilities, but that doesn’t seem to the case anymore.

Positive experience: I train here twice a week with the GSK Aikido club. There is always lots going on here. Free car parking, 6 badminton courts, 2 swimming pools, rock climbing, football pitches and a huge gym.

Negative experience: The first Glades was way more fun and much easier. I found the new one to be limited, mostly for swimming in lanes. Definitely less family friendly, unlike the demolished one which I found comfortable to navigate. Sad really.

Negative experience: Used to really like it here, however no running water in the toilets and the showers. Not sure how it can still be open. It’s been like this for weeks. Everything seems dirty and smells at the minute. We won’t be going back anytime soon.

Negative experience: No showers or running water in the changing rooms for three weeks now, very poor for a leisure centre :(

Negative experience: The prices have just gone up again! No other leisure centre puts a 45 min limit on swimming. This includes changing time aswell. 45 mins not long enough for price

Negative experience: Pretty boring pools. Have to book in advance now, for 45 minute slots. Cant just 'pop up' with kids for a couple hours. Not a patch on the old leisure centre.

Negative experience: We went to play and bounce, it was probably the worst play session I've been to. Toys were dirty and none of the battery operated ones worked. Considering the times you'd of thought it would of been cleaner.

Negative experience: Took my little boy to active play and bounce today and I was disgusted how dirty some toys if not all were. I would definitely not recommend this place for babies unless something is done about the cleanliness.
