Fantastic experience: Love this place, it's the staff that make it so good

Negative experience: Np lock on toilet cubicle. Not good enough for children's party venue. Lock totally removed so clearly been like it a while.

Positive experience: Very nice equipment and open long hours. Staff are very helpful as well.

Positive experience: Always seems clean and quite quiet. Easy to parm.

Negative experience: I give 2 star cz atleast this area has a gym. But it was very overpriced for old equipment and the packages are skyhigh with included swimming pool but they don’t have one and you can’t get that package to reduce as they don’t have one. It’s really sad that the peacehaven doesn’t have a proper gym with reasonable price.

Positive experience: This is a friendly gym. It has lockers to put your personal belongings in. The gym has good air conditioning and the usual amount of gym equipment in. There is a car park at the back of the building. The staff are very helpful.

Positive experience: Owned by a not for profit group (Wave Leisure). Clean and tidy facilities. The gym isn't massive but has all the machines/weights you would need for resistance or aerobic training. Just plan your visit to avoid the rush hour before and after work. Good value overall. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, helpful staff

Negative experience: Do not sign any membership with them. They make the cancellation process very difficult and do not respond to emails in a timely manner meaning even if on a 'flex' membership they make you pay an extra two months. Over priced and low quality facilities but the money grabbing when trying to leave bites the biscuit.

Positive experience: Been coming for a year. Unpretentious gym but hardly any staff around these days so you can't get any instructions on the new powerplate for example. One woman this morning jumped on it and tried her best which I wasn't Going to do. Another male said he's normally alone inthe gym.

Fantastic experience: Small gym with great people, in particular kudos to Tulay, a personal trainer who goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone feels welcome, gets the support they need and really makes the gym the place it is. She's a true gem!

Positive experience: I went recently to a soft play party followed by a sit down party for the kids in the gym area... The gym area had no heating at all and the temperature was about 15 degrees! Far too cold to be comfortable for small children and adults to be comfortable.... While I understand it is a gym area... It is not on at all to hire it out without any form of heating at all.... and also charge people tor the privilege... Especially as there at least two large conditioning units there which are capable of being switched on for heating ! Yes electricity is expensive now but that is not the problem of the folk who are hiring... I cannot recommend this area to anyone for a similar event in the winter period! What we're you thinking? :(

Negative experience: Won’t let me and my friends book one basketball hoop because they want more more money saying you can only book the whole court when nobody’s in there laughable

Negative experience: Big bounce party? More like big disappointment. After spending half an hour setting up and greeting people, I started getting parents and kids saying the bouncy castle didn’t feel right. Wasn’t holding any weight. Next thing I the two random blokes who haven’t said a work to me yet but I had assumed were the “stewards” Are shouting at the kids to get off and it’s deflated completely with 2 children in the back corner. Shouting at ASD children with ear defenders or (obvious much) ask a parent? They spend 10 minutes faffing about behind it, holding the hole closed. I asked one man what was going on and he said “I dunno it’s broken innit” (helpful!) so I investigated myself and said “is this going to take much longer because I’ve paid a lot of money for this” To which he explained he didn’t know what was wrong either. I said well isn’t there a manager around? And off he trots finally to find someone. Eventually, a young woman comes back and manages To fix it after another few minutes. I explain I’m upset that this has been happening for so long to which she says “well they said it’s only been 15 minutes” to which I disagrees and explained that I had to stop play for food shortly abd it’s eaten into over HALF of the playing time. She offers me a FULL REFUND. Didn’t expect full but absolutely half as it’s ruined my time spent with my son. She says I’ll receive an email Monday. I did not. In fact, I didn’t receive an email at all. I emailed them reminding them what they had said. To which I get a s**ty email saying they discussed it with their area manager who said their staff did what they were supposed to and it was rectified in 10 minutes! Wow they just get faster and faster don’t they! Well considering my sons friends mum who I have never met, my own mum, my dad and my husband all heard this woman say I’d get a refund AND say they said 15 minutes, I’d say this company is pretty good at lying by this point. Don’t waste your money on a party here, I wish I’d booked the gymnastics place in newhaven now because it’s just so so much better and the staff are brilliant.

Negative experience: Small but is ok. In the new cardio area I would suggest to put a step mill... Will be nice to have something extra as this gym is very poor with gym equipment already.

Positive experience: Peacehaven leisure centre is a great place, but it just doesn't have anything to do there. The only real attraction of the centre is the co-op. I really think it could do with an update. The co-op sells alot tho, so I can't really complain.

Positive experience: The gym is nice and quiet, and I recommend using it for longer workouts when it's not busy. However the young male Fitness instructor does not engage with customers which might demonstrate a of experience in spotting customers who are in need of motivation and a kick in the right direction of the workouts and exercises they need in order to achieve their fitness goals. However I don't know if the instructor is a qualified personal trainer or just a fitness instructor, I know a personal trainer is someone who requires clients and an F.I. is just a bridge of knowledge for new members and people who know less about training methods than others. All in all peacehaven centre have very clean facilities but the urinals could do with a spruce up, they look gross.

Positive experience: A good facility, not over crowded, clean and staff available for any issues even at the weekend. Loses a star however for the high price of membership and lack of flexibility around options, such as if you just wanted to pay for the gym locally and not for the entire leisure group / facilities.

Negative experience: Horrible service and they lie. We had booked a basketball court the night before and arrived on time only to be told that we weren’t allowed in because badminton had been booked, they admitted we had booked first yet still wouldn’t let us. Another staff member then told us there was health and safety issues and no court was open that night, a bunch of lying scum.

Negative experience: After having booked a court and arriving on the date and time only to find out that another thing had been booked after we had booked but that took priority. Awful service as no message had been left to us to at least inform us.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, pretty good free parking (occasionally fills up), tons of structured physical activities for children and adults or opportunities to rent halls for sports/kids parties. Also has small soft play (best for probably age 2) and crèche. Drawback is no cafe or decent coffee (only vending machines and a few tables). Also no swimming pool.

Positive experience: Toilets always smell and feel dirty in main reception area. Used this place for gymnastics club but thought it was quite unprofessional and not well managed. The magic castle keeps smaller kids entertained while waiting though but the place just feels a bit like it needs rejuvenation

Positive experience: The Centre offers a Roller Disco on a Friday evening for the little ones. Only problem is that they also turn the WiFi off whilst the disco is on!!!

Positive experience: Great little gym. Got everything you need for a workout. Friendly staff. Clean showers. However, there is only 1 of everything so there is a wait for equipment fairly often. Other than that, it's a good little gym!

Positive experience: Friendly staff and great facilities, the only letdown for me is that it is so busy.

Fantastic experience: Have hosted and been to a number of kids birthday parties here, good facilities and plenty of space for the kids to run around like lunatics. Price is reasonable to and they supply plenty of bits to play on, bouncy castle, ball pit etc... Squash courts are decent too!

Positive experience: Great gym which is well stocked. Friendly and v. helpful staff who are keen to help you with your fitness goals. Very reasonable membership plans. Many decent fitness classes from Yoga to high intensity training. No swimming pool unfortunately but it is a short drive to the Newhaven centre which has a full size pool. Can get quite busy during the after-work slot.
