Negative experience: Why do the staff here get to vape in the reception? This is supposed to be a health facility, which can accommodate people with serious conditions (not make them worse).

Fantastic experience: Huge sport halls a cresh the workers in there are so polite a good with the kids nice gym and loads of different clubs

Positive experience: Love the sports centre & have been attending for several activities since 1974 but recently the lockers have been a problem. Today the only locker working I used was broken into, relocked by the thief & my car key taken from my trousers. Car then stolen from the car park with my wallet, cards, driving licence & house keys. The JWSC staff have always been incredible & especially today. Shame on the South Lanarkshire Council for not financing the safety & security needs for the center. Hope the other sports centres are better supported

Positive experience: It's great to see generations using this sports centre to do different activities. My only gripe is dirty mats (I practice aikido). Apart from that this place has plenty of activities for everyone.

Positive experience: Decent track. Field area is a bit boggy and the jump runways could do with a clean but you can still get decent training done here.

Positive experience: This comment is about the EV charging pods, not the actual JW Sports Centre. The chargers (22kW and 50kW) are owned/operated by ChargePlace Scotland. I registered weeks ago and have a CPS card. Some weeks ago, I went there to charge as my car was down to 17% but none of the EV chargers recognised my CPS card. Even worse, none of them recognised my debit card. I was desperate and had to call the CPS customer care number, and luckily my call was answered. I was told that my account had been locked for some unknown reason. The gent was helpful and he unlocked my account, and I was finally able to charge my car.

Fantastic experience: In order to get to John Write sports center you can take 18 number bus which will drop you next to the center. The place have various sports activities for kids and adults

Fantastic experience: Nicest telling off I've ever had. Popped in to see what training recovery program they have for post cardiac rehabilitation. Told by the two lovely ladies to behave and wait till the surgeon says that I'm ready

Negative experience: After about seven months being a member not so sure if I'll be there in the new year, don't get me wrong some new equipment has been implemented I wouldn't say it's the best, however a big concern is the quality of hygiene the cleaner of the male changing rooms leaves a lot to be disred I'd hate to see inside of his house cobwebs been there clearly longer than a year lockers not serviced correctly or cleaned areas stained with uirine not addressed, changing rooms closed superceeding school children over paying customers, PT staff letting gym users using fire exits drinking fountains out of order and male toilet on first floor been out of order for five months, this is by far encouraging or reflective towards monthly fees

Positive experience: It has a surprisingly large number of sports halls, including a wee gym and a squash court. It's not the most modern and could do with having a more accessible drinking fountain, but it's an excellent local resource.

Positive experience: Decent enough, not terrible. Showers and changing rooms could do with an upgrade.

Negative experience: Sad to say but the JWSC is very run down and sadly neglected. The changing facilities are stuck in the 70's and urgently need upgraded. The staff are excellent but the facility is a shadow of what it once was.

Positive experience: I play table tennis at JWSC all's good, staff excellent only one big problem is they have renewed the table tennis tables recently to a luminous green. It strains the eyes.

Negative experience: Very disappointing i joined to use the gym but the online booking system will not give me the option of the gym plus i have tried to phone them and they just have a message saying they are shut and they open ar 7am not a problem but its now 8.30and still playing the message ......think its time to cancel my membership

Fantastic experience: I quit my last gym and started with South Lanarkshire leasure last month and have not looked back. Great facilities and classes are superb. Feel 100% that my fitness levels are getting into the right area.

Positive experience: Council run sports centre hosts classes badminton trampolining gyms squash court running tracks and a bowling green hosts summer activities for kids during holidays

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, great for people with anxiety issues who just want to lose some weight, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The best time to go is between 08:00-10:00PM as it's completely quiet.

Positive experience: I would love to see the old cafeteria area reinstated...it took the heart out of the centre putting an ugly bus styled partition. The centre could do with offering membership deals that reflect the competitive market they are up against. This used to be the flagship centre for East Kilbride...unfortunately no longer despite the staffs best efforts.

Fantastic experience: Clean modern facilities with great staff and personal trainers. From badminton basketball football to a state of the art Gym. It also boasts an Olympic size running track. Reasonable prices my 13 year old daughter uses the facilities as have I. Free Parking facilities 5 star
