Fantastic experience: The standout feature of this gym are its classes. Lead by helpful, encouraging and professional staff who importantly keep it fun. If you want a gym with slick, updated equipment, with nifty areas for HIIT, weights and cardio, in an uplifting environment that involves itself its local community, this is the gym for you.

Positive experience: Great gym and amazing staff members, only moved because I need a swimming pool for health reasons recently discovered. PT session was amazing with Luke he is brilliant, full of knowledge and makes extra effort over text also!

Fantastic experience: Great local gym with plenty of parking. Affordable prices with amazing staff always at hand to help and support. Classes included in membership price are fab and the other people attending the gym are always friendly and welcoming.

Negative experience: One more thing to note is that, as a Gympass user getting in the gym has always been an issue as nobody is at the door to open when needed. Other Gyms like Energie gym itself, in some part of the country have barcode access for Gympass users or provide fobs for its Gympass members. It will be good to see Tunstall Gym implement this as well. So that people like me always don’t get anxiety not knowing if I can get in or out of the gym.

Fantastic experience: Its a good gym, got all the equipment for a good work out either weights or cardio plus they have classes, quiet small inside so dont know what it's like at peak times, price is good from £17.99 a month.

Fantastic experience: I came into energie fitness last week for a quick look, even though there are 1 or 2 bad reviews on here i can honestly say the service i got was nothing but outstanding. I was greeted by a lady as soon as i walked in who was very friendly and extremely enthusiastic! The gym is not the largest around but plenty of room and the equipment was top notch, there is tyres you can even flip! I was only in there a short time but everyone in the gym seemed very friendly and it just felt like such a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was nice and clean and seemed well looked after, and when i return from working away mid february i am 100% signing myself up!

Fantastic experience: I came to use this gym after hearing about it and how reasonably priced it was. And I couldn’t of been happier. The guy who toured me think he was the Manager made sure I was happy with everything and offered support and guidance should I need it. Equipment is just what I need and it’s clean and well maintained. If you are looking for a gym in Tunstall go and see this club. Thank you for actually caring

Negative experience: Have now cancelled with this gym as used to be a great atmosphere but changed hands so many times and put the prices up can get a lot more in other gyms for the same price such a shame.

Positive experience: Needs a bit of TLC as equipment and cleaning. Although there is a lot ofequipment it needs maintaining. It is a cheap gym but could improve.

Negative experience: Only 3 people in the gym and staff were nowhere to be seen, pressed the bell and knocked on the office window but in the end it took someone using the gym to go into the office for the staff member to come to the reception. I asked about pricing and membership options and the staff member was unhelpful and didn't seem to know anything. Of the 20 minutes I was in this place after 5 minutes talking to the staff member I couldn't wait to get out... really negative and a real mood hoover.

Positive experience: Great gym. Staff are nice enough. However they do need to put some soap in the changing rooms. The soap ran out about 6 months ago and has not been replaced since. Surely people should use soap to wash hands after going the toilet before they go and use the weights and machines!!

Positive experience: Not the cheapest for what’s available however it’s got the majority of what I like to use. High staff turnover and basic facilities. Convenient as there’s a supermarket next door.

Fantastic experience: Joined here after leaving the diabolical DW tunstall and have to say I’m very impressed. Weights selection is good and staff engaging and helpful. It is a smaller gym but not found a problem with that. Am yet to try a class but they look good and well run. Would encourage anyone to give here a go.

Positive experience: Cheap and cheerful, some good equipment but lacks space and peak times you cannot workout in a reasonable time because you are waiting forever for equipment. Claustrophobic at best. Good classes though. Poor customer services.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities at an affordable price. Competitors near by (such as DW) have more equipment/ facilities but at a much greater cost. After experiencing fit4less' facilities at the small price of 19.99 a month I simply cannot justify spending an extra 20 pounds for a membership at DW for minor improvements to facilities. A great bonus to joining Fit4less is it's classes that are held in the studio, from abs class to insanity workouts they have a wide range of classes for everyone.

Negative experience: I only gave it one star because some of the equipment is in decent condition but that's the only decent thing about this gym. They never have any soap in the hand Despensers in the men's changing room, showers always blocked so you have to shower in other people's dirty water, the changing rooms always smell of sewage because the showers never drain, staff are always in the office and never on the gym floor, the finger print scanner never works first time, but the most annoying thing is that they send out threatening emails saying they'll ban you from the gym if you don't put the weights back even thought their own staff don't. After speaking to an ex PT trainer of fit4less they told me how to cancel my membership correctly. Don't bother asking the staff to cancel it because they'll drag it out so you continue to pay (this has been confirmed by other people's reviews), instead call Harlands Group directly, they deal with their contracts and they'll cancel it straight away for you over the phone. I've now joined DW fitness for slightly more a month but it's so much better and the staff are more helpful and friendlier. Thought I'd update this review based on the managers answers to my feedback... 1 - I never said I didn't put the weights back, I know it's gym etiquette, it's common sense, but receiving emails saying they'll ban you if you don't is passive aggressive and I never said it was your job to put the weights back. 2 - I didn't just use the gym at lunch, I've been plenty of times in the morning, evening and weekends and staff are still in the office 3 - Not everybody has facebook so leaving a Google review is the next best thing 4 - I asked Harland's group whether I should cancel in the gym but they even told me not to bother because it won't get cancelled as they've had numerous complaints 5 - laughing out loud that you're "disappointed" in my review. Negative experience: Decent range of equipment for the size of the gym and put on a number of classes during the afternoon sessions, however a lot has been changed since it first opened. Showers have always been poor (very low pressure and non existent drainage) this has seemingly resulted in a permanent stale sewage smell in the male changing rooms. Slowly things have been removed such as paper towels, cleaning solution and hand soap in the changing rooms. A series of passive aggressive Emails and Signs threatening to ban members for trivial reasons was the final straw. Cancelled my membership

Negative experience: Absolutely nightmare. I cancelled my membership last year and I’m still paying for 9 months now because the staff over here is so stupid that didn’t actually cancel it but froze it.

Fantastic experience: Never been before but what a surprise, so much equipment and varied from machines, free weights, kettlebell and tyres etc, friend staff and generally good

Fantastic experience: Great Gym... Personal Trainers are constantly attentive to my questioning.. Always giving helpful tips and advice! Good gym for body building or cardio... They have a boxing bag... The only service they don't offer is sauna or pool but that's not what I want anyway... Would recommend this gym to anyone...

Positive experience: This is a good economy gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free car parking. The location is handy for both Tunstall and Burslem. The equipment is well maintained. There is surprisingly good choice of equipment for a gym of its size. There is a wide selection of classes available. The changing rooms are clean and tidy with plenty of lockers. The only downside are the showers that have poor drainage. This is a good value economy gym.

Positive experience: A decent sized gym but has alot of free weights and some machiens a good circuit station a good sized studio for all the classes they do. Friendly and helpfull staff changing room , toilets and shiwers are all pretty good. Nice tidy gym

Negative experience: Horrible gym, staff have no time for you, a nightmare to cancel membership, even after letting stuff know I wanted membership cancellation they still took the money from my account, tried to reasonably talk to someone about it and it was like talking to a brick wall, stuff were so rude over the phone. I cancelled the direct debit with my back only for the to forward my details to a credit collector which was bang out of order, I hadn't even been to the gym for months! And I rung so many times before to cancel. Absolutely disgusting how they treat you if want to leave. Never again. Avoid this gym at all costs!

Negative experience: always very busy at lunch times. It's better to go in the mornings. There is broken equipment. No paper towels to clean equipment. Staff are always in the office. The fingerprint scanner at the entrance is possibly the most annoying thing about this gym.
