Positive experience: Good facilities

Negative experience: Serious safeguarding concerns. Violent parents of junior football team out of control and intimidation of pre-teen children. Avoid.

Positive experience: Busy leisure centre. We called at the antique fair which was busy with plenty to look at. Cash machine at nearby service station a quick walk away if you need one for cash purchases. Car park was very busy and flooded in parts but people coming and going so didn't take long to find one round the back.

Positive experience: Looks a good venue for indoor and outdoor sport. Went for a boxing thing. Facilities are good but, with afternoon footie and everything else finishing plus boxing types turning up the smallish bar was overwhelmed....the staff, however, we're top notch

Positive experience: Just got to watch out for drunk drivers dropping off their kids for football practice.. had to confront one this evening slurring his words almost hit us!

Fantastic experience: Great sporting set up

Positive experience: If your into sports, then Bay Point is great, lots of football, including ' walking football ', tennis etc. The bar is good and they also do bar food. Still as good as the last time

Positive experience: Great venue for Sunday carvery. Multi sports venue with a whole host of teams. Really integral to the local community. If you have an event or function they would be able to cater for your needs

Negative experience: Signed up to a 12 month contract. During this year the clubs sauna and showers always smelled like mould whenever we went, rarely had hot water and half the gym equipment was broken/being replaced. Also had an instance of my stuff being stolen while I was in the shower which staff stated they were unable to help and went no further with it. Felt like we'd wasted the money so did not renew however did not realize it was a "rolling contract". So I rang to cancel and see if we could get any money back (which I wasn't expecting because my fault for not realizing) but on the phone I just got a girl named Lauren who was very matter of fact and even stated "well if it my bank account, I would've noticed money coming out". While I accept this statement to be true, it's not the level of customer service I would expect from any company. Would not recommend much nicer/better gyms around.

Fantastic experience: Recent discovery of Sunday carvery and thoroughly enjoyed . Good helpings well prepared in comfortable surroundings with good atmosphere.

Positive experience: It's a nice setting down near the Stour estuary and the bar is decent. The gym looks well equipped although I've never used it. I just wish the 3G astro football pitch would be resurfaced and the cage around it fixed. It's a shame as I think they would get more bookings if they did.

Fantastic experience: Carvery on Easter Sunday. Food was excellent, staff were attentive and pleasant, price was also very reasonable. Highly recommend and will definitely go again.

Positive experience: Very nice venue. No longer into gyms but what I could see through the window looked pretty good. Used the bar and attended a function in the hall All very nice and modern. Top marks to the guy, who I assume was bar manager, very polite and helpful.

Negative experience: Genuinely surprised by how bad the food is. Even if you're starving, I'd suggest you turn around. Never in my life have I experienced such a poor show for sustenance. The BBQ food is beyond diabolical and simply disrespects the animal that was killed. If you appreciate reconstituted meat that doesn't remotely represent the animal it came from then I would wholeheartedly recommend you eat here. Otherwise give it a miss and do your bowels a favour. I wish I could give this place less than a star as it certainly doesn't deserve it. Before leaving a glimpse of the kitchen revealed which I had previously suspected. The only 'fresh' produce which is stored is mass manufactured buns. The meat was tasteless almost certainly frozen and not remotely fresh. So do yourself a favour and turn around.

Negative experience: Be aware... We booked 2 squash courts and reception forgot to book us in.. Also, we booked 2 badminton courts again the same happened. In addition, no one wants to set up the courts so we were left to do this. Unfortunately, I have now decided I will never return to this sports centre as its poorly managed. Hope the same doesn't happen to you!

Fantastic experience: Second visit here for Sunday Carvery, overall quality of food is very good although on second visit the choice of vegetables and extras was a bit lacking. Good service and decent price.

Absolutely lovely venue staff were fantastic really helpful and accommodating Nothing was too much trouble even when a dreadful downpour stopped the bridal party walking down the aisle they quickly ready an alternative room for the ceremony. Great food too would definitely recommend Baypoibt club as a venue Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Baypoint on Saturday. It was amazing! From our first meeting with Kirsty and the team, we knew we were in good hands. They could not have been more accommodating, helpful and generally all round fantastic. The room was decorated to perfection and all the guests loved the BBQ and the food. The grounds were perfect for the ceremony and were a gorgeous back drop for our photos. We honestly couldn't recommend Baypoint enough as a wedding venue. We wish we could do it all again!!

Positive experience: Great facility, excellent 3G surface for 7 a-side. The actual cage itself is in massive need of repair behind each goal (plus it would be really helpful if they unlocked all the gates on the cage to make getting the ball back after it had gone over the goals much quicker)

Fantastic experience: My daughter celebrated her 18th birthday at Baypoint and we couldn't fault it at all! Excellent venue - huge hall, dancefloor, stage, lovely bar area, affordable and extremely helpful staff that simply could not do enough for everyone (even with 80 + drunk young adults!) Great time was had by all. Would definitely recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Have been a member for two years. Cannot fault this gym or its staff. This gym is geared to supporting you through your fitness regime in a supportive manner. Atmosphere is wonderful. I have used another gym and there is no comparison with Bay Point. From a social perspective the restaurant and bar area is spacious and great for coffee after your workout. Positive experience: Went here for the company summer bbq. We had an area set aside for us and access to our own bar. We were very well looked after and the food was excellent.

Negative experience: Leave an hour before the “closing time” as they sometimes decide to close the gates before they should locking people in overnight. Rude staff, don’t bother going here go to Sandwich Leisure Centre for a gym and sandwich tech for 3G football pitches

Negative experience: Staff are funny but refused to check outdoor pitches, locked up early before the time they advertise as shut and locked our small football team inside until 6 O’clock in the morning. This nearly happened a second time to a smaller group but I ran to the gate (more limped, tough tackle!) But this was 12 minutes before it was closed last time! Having under 18’s in the squad cause worried parents when this happens.

Fantastic experience: I am a member for over five years now and have always felt amongst friends at Baypoint. Staff are true professionals and always nice and helpful. A visit to Baypoint always makes my day!

Negative experience: Terribly managed gym, great staff but even they can't hide the failings of the managers. Showers are constantly broken, the gym is seriously overpriced, absolutely no information on the website in regard to Christmas opening hours. Since posting a bad review on their facebook page (due the showers not working for over 2 weeks) they have now blocked me from the page, seems they are trying to create an image that they can't fulfill. Please use another gym, there are so many to choose from. Wish I did

Positive experience: It's an ok little club but it's totally unused and feels empty a lot of the time

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, Amazing staff who genuinely care and show you how to correctly use the gym equipment. I've used other gyms in the area, but I've found the real gem now and I will be sticking here! The instructors actually take an interest in what you want to achieve and they help and advise because you can tell they have a real passion for their job in helping people get fit and lose weight (or whatever your particular goal is). Lovely place of friendly people and excellent facilities... could not fault at all. :-)

Fantastic experience: We would like to give all the staff at Baypoint a big thank you, they did a wonderful job for our 60th birthday party on 27/7/2013. The food was great, the tables looked wonderful. We must give a special mention to the DJ, who really got the party jumping. The bar staff were attentive and they sure can dance.
