Positive experience: Absolutely love baby soft play. Sad the bar has gone.

Fantastic experience: Very impressive!!! I called up yesterday after having not been to the gym in a while. I was Greeted by Berfin. She made me feel comfortable right away about renewing my membership and getting back to the Gym. It is still very similar as far as the gym but security and CCTV is everywhere which makes you feel safe. Berfin took the time to ensure I was getting the right contract which is very reasonable and actually called me back to invite me to then come and sign up. With regained confidence I did so and I couldn't be happier. The bar is closed I guess during the week which is great for me as I didnt like leaving the gym just to go for a pint afterwards although I understand it is still open on weekends. Not lots has changed, just kind staff (Berfin was just so helpful), Security is better. Simply put its a nice place to be and its convenient for me. Being disabled and having this gym so close is really helpful for me and I wouldnt be bettering myself if it wasn't for Paringdon sports club being so close and the kind staff. I must say thank you to Berfin for taking the time to call me back about my request for membership- alot of places dont take the time to do so, along with showing the gym and for making me feel human and not just a monthly number. Great job! I plan to continue this gym trend and this is a great place to do so. If you want a quiet spot like me to take your time and get a nice workout in, this is it. Full disclosure i'm pleased the bar is closed during the week now too. Locker rooms are still nice and clean, bathrooms- clean. Gym equipment- clean. Sauna- inoperative sadly but i'm sure it'll be working sometime soon. Happy to be back there, cheers Berfin for making it an easy process!

Negative experience: When we first booked we were told open until 12am, then when we went to sign they said everyone out by 11.30pm 11pm came and the security turned all lights on which I found rude, all night they stood and watched and they creeped everyone out. Told the DJ he had to turn off at 11pm! Took 2 weeks to get deposit back and we had to chase several times. We have had parties here before but now gone downhill. Wouldn't come back!

Positive experience: Took grandchildren to see Wrestling! Much fun had by all...

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and venue bar staff very friendly and gave 5 star for my friend husband wake.Reasonable in price.great service got money back for unused time. Thank you. If you have a party and not sure if people will turn up or not you will not lose all you will get some back depending on circumstances and not an entitlement of refund .Amazing venue great free secure parking too.

Positive experience: Attended a party (5 years old), and it was a good size to accommodate the guests. Bar to the side, which was good for the grown-ups, albeit a tad expensive....

Fantastic experience: Great place for a venue of any sort, also if you want to just go for a beer (ideal) football, boxing and all kinds of live sports this is the spot. The best thing about this place is its away from all towns and only the local people who are fortunate to know about this place are the only people you will see. Never no trouble and the staff are really easy going and polite. Would highly recommend quite people to attend for a quite night out. Regards, Luke

Negative experience: Greedy! Had to cancel kids party 2 hours before as daughter was ill, I went to Paringdon on the party morning to be told I would lose the £80 fee but would get the rest of my money back, that’s fine. But I need to phone the manager on Monday as they couldn’t give me the refund on the Saturday. I was then told NO it’s a damage and cancellation deposit, told her my daughter was ill she said nothing can be done! I said so if I came back on the time of the party with 2 kids for 10 minutes I’ll get my money back she said yes! Obviously would have done that if the staff on the Saturday hadn’t told me I’ll get money back after phoning the manager Greedy!!!

Positive experience: The only criticism about Paringdon Club is that a blackcurrant squash was £2.50.

Fantastic experience: Went to my friends wedding there and it looked beautiful the way it was decorated with pretty lights across the ceiling etc. I've been to many a good party there.

Positive experience: The hall was freezing today.

Positive experience: Sunday football. Well maintained pitches. Pitches are bunched up and very close to each other.hot Food available, lots of parking spaces.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing - booked a hall for a 4 year old's children's party only to discover on arrival the hall we expected had been double booked and we'd been relocated to a small corner in the bar sharing the space with strangers freely walking in, out and past. Further, because we were in a bar we were not permitted to use the drinks we had brought for the children but obliged to buy drinks for their bar. The only saving grace was the football coach was excellent and it wasn't raining. Will not be using this facility again nor can I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: The food, from down stairs was delicious, friendly staff,a good evening.

Positive experience: Was there to see a live local band play! But overall experience fantastic, supporting the local band by offering their venue as host to have the event. Bar service good, reasonably priced and fairly quick in wait for service at the actual bar. Only downside the inconsistency of security/staff at reception as some had to pay small entry fee some didn't regardless to membership status. As far as we all knew, we were aware it was a free event but only small inconvenience to some of us who did get charged. Notifications would of benefitted this event better for fairness for all.

Fantastic experience: Boxing show. Very good.

Negative experience: The gym needs a desperate upgrade, new carpets and equipment. It's like walking into the 70s. Equipment is held together by literal sellotape. If you are charging the same as more modern gyms, this needs to be rectified. Its quite embarrassing getting on a machine only to find it is held together by black duct tape. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Good place for families. Very child friendly. They have burger bar if you're peckish (not very healthy I know but who doesn't like burger and chips or hotdog and chips?)

Positive experience: Have only use the gym and changing rooms. Gym is +10years and needs a large overhaul, changing rooms are rancid and need urgent and major cleaning and modernisation. Mold and rot are rife!

Positive experience: Went there for a social night. Not much to judge from that but staff were friendly enough, bar was clean with plenty on offer.

Positive experience: Great venue for a party, very large and can be used in a variety of layouts. Nicely remote so seems like no noise issues. Friendly helpful staff. The decor is a bit dated in places and the front entrance could be more welcoming but overall a good place to visit
