Negative experience: Do not use this gym. Cancelled my membership and they continued to take £55 a month out my bank. They have been stalling too refund me and still not got a refund after 4 weeks they are still making excuses on emails when I’m asking for my refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTA

Positive experience: I love the staff here but it's just not clean enough too often and facilities are tired and in need of better maintenance and care.

Fantastic experience: Just had such a lovely time at Trugym. A 2 week trial membership for £20!! I live on a canal boat so that works really well for me. I’ll be trying to come every day for a swim, steam and jacuzzi while I’m moored in the area, might even try a Pilates class.

Я пришла первый раз , и что я вижу не дружелюбный рецепшен, администратор который не может записать правильно фамилию с моего документа, не может записать мои данные и даже не может объяснить за что я плачу деньги. Мы попросили показать нам тренажерный зал, он в ужасном состоянии и очень плохой запах, всюду грязь. Раздевалки требуют ремонта. Все в ужасном состоянии . Не кому не рекомендую

Fantastic experience: Really enjoying this gym so far. Reasonably priced with good facilities. Some of the areas need cleaning more thoroughly and could do with painting but otherwise it's a great gym. Especially impressed by the staff member who helped me in the gym on her day off. Just offered some advice and showed me how to use equipment. Very much appreciated by a newbie like myself.

Negative experience: The gym is terrible. Most of the equipment is broken most of the time. The prices are extortionate and even after having cancelled my membership they are still demanding money off of me. There are much better gyms in the area at much cheaper prices

Negative experience: Really poor communication. They don’t communicate with you directly. Not friendly. Will be telling people to avoid! The manager is the most rudest and ignorant person I have met! Sally check your emails!!! I have copy’s of the emails I have sent with the no reply! You owe me for a parking permit which is no longer valid and which I was charged for so you are responsible to pay for that too!!! I have replied to every one in which you have ignored!!!! You clearly don’t know how to do your job very well and by reading a lot of the reviews on this page you have upset a lot of people!

Negative experience: Went swimming with my friend yesterday and children, my friend pays member ship there and basically we got told to leave the manger was so rude to my friend there was no customer service at all we felt embarrassed and woundnt reakomend this gym at all it was shocking!!!!!!

Negative experience: All the staff are lovely but the manager was the rudest most condescending woman I’ve ever come across with 0 customer service skills or any understanding of mental health I was treated like an outcast I joined 12 months ago took my kids swimming loads during that 12 months never was I told kids just have to swim quietly nor have I ever seen anyone else’s children just swimming quietly in 12 months not 1 word I paid £25 for my friend and her kid to come swim I had been the week before they was jumping in and splashing as kids do ..not one word was said (IF I THOUGHT THEY COULD NOT JUMP IN AND HAVE FUN ID SAVE MONEY AND GO TO A LEISURE CENTRE) when I came this time NOTHING SAID about how kids can’t jump in or anything of the sort took my money and off we went so we did what we always did and all of a sudden apparently people started complaining about the children jumping in the pool ??? And they are not allowed there was another family doing same as my kids and nothing was said to them I have been screamed at by other members in that pool before and I complained nothing was done I have horrendous mental health problems as they are fully aware and it’s never been taken into consideration I was told I need to control my kids by the manager and I should go to a leisure centre if kids want to jump in then tried to make out I was told before when it was me who complained before that I was screamed at in the pool no effort to talk to me I told her no one has ever said I kids can’t jump in or have fun basically or I’d not have paid £25 I said I’ll go then she said yea think that’s a good idea after telling me other people pay a lot of money to come here like I wasn’t a paying member also ? No attempt to talk to me once I was out the pool either so I was singled out and made to feel like I’d done something wrong (that other kids was doing also but they were ok?) when I knew no different as it’s never been said before in the 12 months I was there it’s lead to a severe bipolar episode lastnight which is going to last months as they always do could of been avoided with a simple conversation no effort at all was made to see if I was ok or even a chance to explain myself and the fact it had never been mentioned before and if it had I’d not of paid £25 to go I’d have saved some money and gone to a Leisure centre don’t seem to understand mental health or care how you feel after she singled me out and made me feel like scum handled really badly the whole situation

Positive experience: Handy gym but has numerous broken lockers, toilets and no refreshments other than vending machines. The equipment is fine, loud music disturbs quiet yoga classes. Good classes but necessary to book exactly a week ahead no more or less. No penalty for no shows unfortunately.

Positive experience: Been a member for 2 years, prices go up. Classes often full v early. They have added some more classes recently that is good. Spin bikes are so outdated. Aircon not on or not working most of the time. Their "spa" is a steam room and two jacuzzis and a swimming pool, quite cramped no where to sit down, not too clean, tiles broken and falling off, but the ceiling had been recently painted. Dirty back room that's not in use, waste of space that's on display from outside. Some lovely staff and PTs. Gym area doesn't get too busy.

Positive experience: Spacious gym, good variety of machines and enough of free weights. Also has a jacuzzi, steam room and a swimming pool which can all be quite busy at times. Costumer service is something that needs to be worked on. It’s been since March where I’m trying to chase the general manager and assistant manager (Jordan) to get me a monthly membership’s worth refund. Used the gym for 2 months due to the need of swimming pool facilities due to an injury but was overcharged for another 2 despite of informing the gym staff about the membership cancellation.The refunds were sorted out eventually but couple months after, was overcharged for the 3rd time(6th July). Called multiple times, spoken to Jordan and the gm and was promised of the refund to be processed over a bank transfer but nothing has been done yet. Unprofessional.

Negative experience: If you are looking for swim and spa - don’t bother. I was told on sign-up that the pool is rarely full however whenever I visited (random days & times), the pool was always full. Cancelled my debit and complained online and was ignored and then charged extra.

Fantastic experience: Been going a couple of months now, joined to make use of the pool facilities mainly. Well equipped gym, good swimming pool which doesn't seem to get too busy, spacious Jacuzzi's and steam room. Staff always seem friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Usually really good however my sister and I got there for our normal time 6:30am this morning and the reception area downstairs was in darkness and the doors were locked but there's nothing on social media to advise it being closed this morning.

Positive experience: Very clean. Pool comfortable, steam room hot, Jacuzzi working. Locker room very smart (bring a pound coin for those that work). Roomy workout space - zoned well. No TV (good) but music naff and loud. Staff excellent. Classes booked via the app. Lacks lighter dumbells.

Fantastic experience: Great to finally see the gym open and be back swimming in that beautiful pool. A lovely front desk team, very welcoming and friendly. I would also like to say a big thank you to Carrie for her time and assistance regarding a query with my membership, nothing was too much trouble and she got the issue sorted straightaway. Outstanding customer service.

Negative experience: Pool ice cold 90% of the time and very cold the other 10% of time. App to get into the club don't work most the time and is so slow , every one has problems with it . Members queuing up to try and get in as don't always work . No membership cards at all , so only app option available to gain access to gym. One of the Jacuzzis still out of order , never worked since place opened other one not always working . Steam room not always working. So as I only used pool and spa this is not working out value for money.

Positive experience: It is still Ok running on a sort of continuation of the predecessor's gym model but there has been a dip in standards with the change from DW to Tru. Equipment levels have dropped in quality - e.g the new stairclimbers are cheaper than the old ones were. Showers are nearly always out of order, class times are inconvenient and getting repetitive with the same ones with no variety - there is no combat class in the evening for example. Despite the drop in quality the membership is more expensive than previous.

Fantastic experience: Great place very welcome very polite staff and very helpful good spacious gym for working out. The swimming pool is very nice with not having a deep end it's suitable for all 2 Jacuzzis 1 steam room

Positive experience: Great to see the premises back open as a gym. Decent enough facilities and equipment especially the swimming pool. Note you need a £1 coin for the lockers.
