Lea Manor Gym & Swimming Pool

Negative experience: Staff at most days are so unhelpful, been a member in this centre for over 2 years Children went for their swimming here too. They always don’t know what to do on many occasions i had to spend more that 20-25 mins explaining them. I do t get greetings from any staff when entering or leaving, some of the staff comes across so unprofessional. Few weeks ago site manager (Andrew) promised to call me to next day resolve my kids swimming issue, well this never happened. I always book Junior Badminton for my children, girl at the reception wanted to find out if this was correct, left me feeling humiliated and untrusted. Especially her tone and body language was absurd with no consideration that there are children observing her. They need massive improvement in their customer services.

Fantastic experience: Really nice people at reception, they let me use the shower facilities, the cost was £4.9, car park at the rear and top it's quite big , I came on with a Sprinter van so thanks for letting me park here all day long too

Fantastic experience: It's not 24 hours. It would be nice. But it's well cared for. Lots of free parking. I attend the gym early. Later in the day, around 5 pm onwards, it's testosterone hour. The sports centre is always manned and clean.

Negative experience: My child goes here for swimming, trainers in pool and out of pool do not care at all. They don't even care if child needs any assistance I see my child and many other kids struggling for little help but staff isn't cooperative at all, kids need very little help like if there swimming cap is bothering them, or they need more attention during lessons which isn't provided here.

Positive experience: Fairly quiet lane swimming

Negative experience: My first time visiting the pool. Poor signage reflecting poor management. Over crowded changing rooms and not enough lockers for everyone. I was told you can't book on line and must Queue up and you are not guaranteed entry cause you could be told the swimming pool is full by the time you get to the top of queue

Negative experience: Disabled parking difficult to access. Reception staff have no knowledge of other activities taking g place in their centre. They are quite unwilling to find out or help.

Negative experience: A little congested, small gym and over subscribed. Very rare to find the right equipment free to use as someone is always on there.

Positive experience: Been to the gym here a few times.The gym is tidy and clean.There is plenty of equipment to use.Numerous groups and classes go on here.

Negative experience: Thought I was going to catch something from this place. Our normal pool was shutting before we could get there so had a quick look around. This was open so thought we'd give it ago. It's really not that great and one of the dirtiest pools and places I have ever been. Normally come out of the pool slightly dry skinned but I have come out completely ashy even on my face! Pool you could smell the strong smell of salt for some reason. I just won't be taken the kids back there ever again although have to disagree with most people the staff were helpful enough

Negative experience: Front office receptionists are so unfriendly. Not at all welcoming or willing to help customers. The only reason we are with them is because of the swimming instructor, who is friendly and professional.

Negative experience: Guess I'm used to the Lewsey pool that is easier to access, has more changing rooms, a much bigger and modern pool, and definitely friendlier staff! Didn't really like it, plus I found the pool floor quite slippery..

Positive experience: First time I've attended for the astro football pitch, was nice to be there. Been over 3 years since I played a football game but glad I did. They just use the long nests to divide half of the pitch when others are playing on one and another!

However, I'm giving it a 4 star because sometimes downstairs in the small hall, it smells very bad and no electric ventilation on a very hot day recently. The backdoor was open however, it was insufficient. Also, the family changing area is always extremely messy.

Negative experience: Had to wait over 1 hour to be helped as people re-booking other things more important than myself. Very disappointed and I wasn't the only person made to wait. Do better, employ more people on your busy times, weekends and evenings.

Negative experience: Some of the swimming instructors are very lazy ,and the receptionist in the evening Sam is very rude.

Positive experience: Went there for a baby massage course so didn't use the pool. Lift is a bit slow and very tight space for a buggy. Good range of classes, including antenatal and postnatal. Quieter than busier, bigger gyms in town.

Negative experience: I called twice to confirm if they have a time slot for leisure swimming for children and they said yes they had a slot for 1230. When we got there, they turned us away saying that they have lane swimming. My daughter was disheartened.

Fantastic experience: Good instructors. Negative is that Viewing deck does not have chairs to sit while waiting for little ones. Sitting on window seals. Could have done sitting a bit after walking in pouring rain. No markings for 2m social distancing on window seals.

Positive experience: Nice environment, plenty of different machines for workouts, a few benches. Staff are friendly and good at keeping the gym clean and organised for customer convenience. Only issue is sometimes the AC is not powerful enough, and theres not enough mirrored walls. I would like to see a mirror in front of the squat rack and by the deadlift area.
