Negative experience: I was on the floor for 2-3 hours! No staff member reassured me or came to talk to me. My friends had to help me and call the Harper centre staff instead to help. Talked to the owner, he said he would not take any responsibility but the suffer of neglect while others were training around me and below me performing bicep curls was appalling and degrading. I have never felt so embarrassed or disappointed as I was a loyal member of this gym. But after talking to the owner and staff as they tried to brush me off. I will never come back to this gym again.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this gym at all. The management in place at Energie are very inadequate and communication with members is appalling. They have closed my account for no reason, I had asked a question around something and the email response was my membership has been cancelled, not sure why? Having emailed them back two times, no further response has been received. The management here lack professionalism.

Fantastic experience: When I moved to Bedford, I explored several local gyms, and énergie Fitness immediately stood out. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with genuine warmth by Rob, who is now the manager. The staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to assist with a smile. Although the gym is on the smaller side, it’s well-equipped with everything you need for a comprehensive workout. The classes are fantastic, led by instructors who keep you motivated and engaged. What truly sets énergie Fitness apart, though, is the sense of community. It feels like a second home—a welcoming and supportive environment where you’re encouraged and empowered to reach your fitness goals. At the same time, if you prefer working out solo, the staff will respect your space and leave you to it. Love this place and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: All I have to say about the gym (as most have affirmed already), about its lay out, equipment, weights & atmosphere is that u do get good value for what u pay for. Now, that being said & more importantly, the unsung heroine of this establishment is Roxy (Resident Fitness Trainer). I have observed that this young lady goes beyond her duty of call; 1) Puts away all dumbells, bars, grips & plates in their rightful place, loads left out everyday; after the down right lazy people who cannot be bothered to do so (u know who u r). 2) Keeps clean the equipment, picking up litter and tissues left in around the equipment and wipes down other people's sweat, who again cannot be bothered with it, again u know who u r!? 3) Always cheerful and smiling, enjoys her job to the fullest. This young lady is a great asset for Energie Fitness, without her I do believe the place would deteriorate. I am paying a compliment to whom it is rightly due. We should show our appreciation for dedicated & hard working persons like this young lady. Thank you Roxy.

Positive experience: Good gym, nice staff. Only bad thing I say is that the music is so loud. I get that people without headphones may want to listen to music as well but the music is so loud I can hear it through my earphones. Most people who don't bring earphones don't care if music is on or not so it would be nice if the music was turned down by a bit

Positive experience: To be honest ..this gym is not that good. No windows. Underground space.poor internet. The ventilation is not that good wich makes the space smells .I looked all over the roof ..there is no ducts for balanced ventilation ( who is the HVAC contractor?) Some equipements are missing.

Negative experience: It’s a good gym and the team are ok but what let’s it down in the other members who don’t wipe down the gym Equipment when they are finished with it and just having two free hours parking I would like it to be 3-4 hours free parking so I can do a real workout

Positive experience: I have joined through my work health scheme and I have to say I am really impressed with the level of service énergie fittness bring. The staff are great. The gym/showers are kept clean and tidy. The cleaning lady in the mornings always welcomes me with a smile. Highly recommend the gym to everyone. The only thing that’s missing for a 5 stars for me is there is no decline abs bench and a hyperextension back bench. Other than that 100% recommend this gym!

I although personally did not like their payment method and I hope they have more options in that. Fantastic experience: Energie fitness is a small gym but clean and well equipped, a decent size yard area with some boxing bags. a decent size locker room with showers and toilets and even a disabled shower/ toilet room. The staff here have been amazing helping me through my knee rehab journey which i am now gaining more strength and flexion since my operation. the staff are very friendly when you walk in they always greet you, if you have any questions they will take the time to answer and support you through a new exercise. I love coming to this gym as i feel very welcomed i have even met new friends coming to this gym. its in the perfect place for me. i haven't tried there classes just yet due to my recovery but i have heard some amazing feedback on these. i have recommended this gym to a lot of my friends and they enjoy it here to. one of my friends is disabled and requires his wheelchair and he has stated energie fitness is perfect for me as he can easily transfer between equipment and the staff assist when he asks for help. the best gym i have ever been to i highly recommend especially if you are recovering from a knee injury 5 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: Energies fitness is a small but well equipped gym. Very spaced layout and a yard to use too. Gym very clean and has equipment for guests to use to clean down after using equipment. Class are amazing. And the gym instructors show you in detail for what you will be doing. If I struggle they show me an alternative method. Gym instructors are polite and will take time out to help if needed. Would and have highly recommended.

Negative experience: I and a couple of friends visited this new gym to see what it's about. The PT there showed us around (although more than once we had to insist we had been to a gym before and just wanted to look around so he would stop trying to teach us the fundamentals of fitness - save that for the trial). The gym looks great, clean and has a lot of equipment for its size. We started to leave and said we would prefer not to leave our details, that we would come back if we wanted a trial. The manager stepped in at this point and, to our astonishment, told us that we HAD TO leave our details, since we had visited and that we'd be contacted 3 days later for follow up. When we asked why we hadn't been told this was required before being shown around, another astonishing thing happened and this manager told us she couldn't because she was there, she was in the loo! This is a lie anyway because she was in the reception area when we came in. The PT wasn't much better, saying he was only a PT which isn't the excuse you'd expect to hear from a person who had told us during the tour that he'd once been the manager of LA Fitness, a large gym. We took some leaflets and I would have been interested in a trial session but I won't be going back. Having someone try to force me to give my details to them left me with a bad taste for the place. The manager should have dropped that part instantly, accepted her fault for not stating it at the beginning and everything would have been fine. To get schoolkid level excuses from two people running the gym puts me right off. There are other gyms with smarter, friendlier staff in Bedford.

Fantastic experience: I was SO nervous to go back into the gym (both from a fitness point of view and after COVID) but from the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable. The staff are so friendly and really get to know their guests. You really start to get to recognise others if you go at the same time every day. Plus, you can really feel safe because they take SO much care to make sure the place is clean. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Staff that have no sense of what customer service is. Take no ownership of issues in the gym! Managers that are never visible in the gym or do not bother responding to issues/ complaints raised Equipment broken or not connecting to tech as it should be (regular occurrence recently) Gym not even opening on time some days! Recently increased prices for existing members with the service declining even further! *****OLD REVIEW BELOW***** I was looking for a gym where I could train with ease. I was introduced to the Energie fitness gyms by my previous company and thought it was a refreshing approach to staying fit. Bedford Energie fitness is now part of my daily routine. Since joining the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful. A very knowledgable Personal Trainer is onsite and happy to help where possible. Since joining we've had the pandemic but nothing has stopped this branch from keeping the gym super clean, and a fun, challenging environment to train in. A great addition to the newly revamped Harpur Centre

Negative experience: I requested cancellation 4 months ago Energie Fitness Bedford and there is a Harlands Group billing company threatening me via email. I was in this Academy only 1 time !!! Caution, avoid this unit. I'm going to find the Bedford Court, in case I keep charging something I don't owe !!!

Negative experience: Joined on the first of October , went for about 2 weeks and the PT called Junior ( tall guy) made me very uncomfortable , I’m oblivious to men’s advances usually but he began interrupting my workouts and putting me off and I would try to work out in corners to avoid his gaze from the desk. He would say things like “your looking good as always” on multiple occasions . He eventually said we should see each other outside the gym, making me go into panic and I said I don’t know , I’m too polite and I havnt been in this Kind of situation so I was lost . I went in to speak to the manager the next day teary and cancelled my membership after 2 weeks of being there. He was lovely but didn’t exactly help me in anyway , I’ve just graduated uni and can’t afford to go join a different gym straight away. I’ve had men make me uncomfortable at the gym many times but this was the first time it was an employee and it’s hard to just avoid them . Quite unfair as I was really getting into working out again after a slump but I’ve been thrown back into it . But yes if your a woman I’m sure he won’t be making any advances any time soon . Very unprofessional in that sense but otherwise nice gym , if your a man go ahead . :)

Fantastic experience: Right from the start when I was approached by sales staff I really took a liking to this gym. The staff even before the gym opened have been not just friendly but professional and helpful. They have always answered my questions and dealt with membership requests. They really helped me and my daughter feel relaxed. I have been to other gyms but we have never felt so welcome and that feeling of belonging. When the gym opened up finally (Yay) We came down for our first session. It was amazing. The gym is so clean, (the staff clean the changing area door handles, gym equipment every hour because of Covid.) They advise on which exercises or equipment to use for your goals, they teach you how to use the equipment properly. Lee the Manager will book a half hour session to help you learn to use the equipment safely and properly. I have had teething problems with direct debits and I can't praise the team enough for their understanding and perseverance to help sort the issue out with me. Hopefully now everything has settled down and is running smoothly. In four weeks I have steadily lost weight and am seeing a change in my body already, I'm so excited to see what happens in another 2 months time ❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: Everything you would want from a fitness club. Great facilities, nice atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff. All at a competitive price. I was a bit worried about heading back to the gym after lockdown but it was unnecessary as the measures that have been put in place create a COVID safe worry free environment to exercise in. Highly recommended fitness club!

I would highly recommend this gym as it is the best gym in Bedford. The team are always on hand to help and the cleaning is always up to date, and feel COVID safe that they are doing what is needed! Fantastic experience: A well equipped gym located in the Harpur Centre basement level. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It is great for people of all fitness levels and experience to exercise whatever your fitness goals. I have found it far nicer (and cheaper) than my previous gym. The gym can be busy, but I have never had to wait to use the equipment. Now that covid restrictions have been eased, there are plenty of bikes and running machines if that's your bag. There are classes and one to one training available in the Yard.

Fantastic experience: One of the best decisions made of this year honestly, this is the cleanest most sanitary gym in Bedford . The staff are supportive , kind and helpful . The equipment isn’t overwhelming and is easy to use , I also feel very safe at this gym and if there was any sort of problem it would be sorted immediately. The monthly price for this gym is affordable and almost a bargain for what you get to do and the services provided. 110% recommend
