Fantastic experience: Review for the pool. Usually swim at my gym and hadn’t been to Armley pool in a few years. Tried it out today. Went to an open session with two lanes. Lanes are very wide, water was clear and standard of cleanliness was really good. Deep end is 2m so ample space to flip turn or dive. Shallow end is only 1m. No issues with that but I wasn’t brave enough to flip turn in such shallow water. Enjoyed my experience and even with only two lanes it felt much more open and less claustrophobic than my gym pool with narrower lanes.

Fantastic experience: If you want to keep fit, enjoy a Fantastic Swimming Pool, lovely modern, well equipped Gym… and polite, friendly, helpful and supportive Staff… COME HERE…. It’s THE BEST.

Negative experience: Rang your chimp mong phone line to ask for times on swimming as you constantly change them, got told 1pm for the small pool only to turn up and have to leave with my 3 year old breaking his heart crying as you don't have any swimming on until 2pm, if you are going to employ people to answer a phone try and aim for above 4 iq

Negative experience: The pool is fabulous, clean and very well maintained... But... need urgently installed a barrier at the entrance to prevent strangers people too go in. There are many teenagers nearby who use this location as a meeting location and talk vulgarly and seem unsafe...

Positive experience: Shame you can't see more of the pool as a parent watching kids in pool. There one table right in front of the window. No coffee bar open only dispensers for water or fizzy drink crisps etc ..

Negative experience: They kicked me and my friends out for no reason then argued with us

Negative experience: Got my jacket stolen tried solving my problem with the people working there but just got in an endless you need to speak to this person only to speak to them and them telling you that you need to speak to another person about it and accomplishing nothing. a bit disappointed to be honest

Negative experience: Fuming 0/5 for me, rang last year to register baby for swimming was informed to wait till January as they will be doing a first come first served basis. After nearly a month of trying today I find out its the waiting list priority… if theres that much interest maybe consider getting more funding for staff to open more classes and ideally stop giving hopes to people because we have cancelled with our previous swimming lessons to we aren’t double booking. Total joke

Fantastic experience: Great gym! Lots of new equipment and very clean and not busy at the times I went. Went on the trial day to test it out and the kind lady at reception sorted me out with a pass for my partner too who couldn't attend that day. We will definitely be joining.

Positive experience: Had a good time got to know lots of new people all very friendly good music only one thing all rowing machines and bikes turned facing wall not a good idea why would you want to sit exercise facing wall can't see your freinds coming in can't see television can see clock every body has compliant nothing happening yet please please turn exercise things round management need to listen to people that paying there subs before lose customer don't like watching people swiming quiet boaring

Fantastic experience: We have a membership here which covers access to all 5 active leeds which is handy! Gym is small and closes early which is a shame but having squash included is amazing! The squash isn’t at this centre but is at Kirkstall!

Negative experience: Good facilities and most staff are welcoming, but the receptionist is rude and seems like she doesn't want to be there. Couple of times I've spoke to her and I get the impression she hates the job and that reflects on how she speaks to people.

Positive experience: Although this pool was very easy to breath and swim around in I noticed burning rashes after swimming in the pool, even a day after I started having rashes in places such as my thighs, forearms, and pits. I also started noticing weird spots on my arms. I have never had this before maybe they have put something in the chlorine? After swimming I took a shower and nothing like before has shower water stung my eyes but yesterday this shower did!

Fantastic experience: Great facility. Loads of classes for adults and children, 2 main pools (full size and child), large gym and multiple courts. All aspects are up kept very well. The list for children's swimming lessons are long, but we'll priced and the instructors know how to speak to children well.

Positive experience: Occasionally has issues that prevent opening of small pool on a weekend but otherwise great facilities.

Fantastic experience: It's a relatively new building with ample car parking space. The lighting in the badminton courts area was just right for good playing and certsinly better than several other leisure centres that i havevused. I was mmendl impressed that this leisure centre even has a small canteen and of course a swimming pool. Today was my first visit but I expect to use these facilities again soon. The staff I met were very friendly and welcoming.

Positive experience: The facilities are good and the staff are great, but it seems to be suffering from chronic underinvestment by the city council. Pretty much the entire centre appears to be accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. On the day of my visit, the vending machine was almost completely empty save for one very sad-looking chocolate bar, but I knew to expect this from other reviews so I'd brought my own provisions. If the council could find room in the budget for an extra full-time custodian to take care of the basics, we've got a top-tier facility just waiting to be unlocked.

Negative experience: Place is a joke! Staff on the front desk should be replaced by mince from aldi. 2 people can't go swimming but then 5 can after when it's first come first served.

Negative experience: To say this is a leisure centre you’d think you’d have access to simple things such as drinks…. With how hot the sports halls are too they never seem to have fans or water. Vending machine always empty and no water fountain ever seems to be checked even when told to workers it still wasn’t sorted. Also to add they never seem to have the nets set up for certain sports that have been pro booked and have to wait for someone to set up the court leaving us with less than an hour to do the sports paid for.

Positive experience: Vending machine never seems to work and on the rare occasion that it actually does it’s virtually empty! The fountains don’t work and no one seems to change them when they are empty. Had to dehydrate today even though I did politely ask for this to be sorted and it still wasn’t. Disgraceful for a leisure centre as there should always be access to water at the very least! Pull your finger out and get it sorted

Positive experience: No parent and child parking spaces. Lots of children and baby sessions and lessons so not sure why no spaces. Difficult to get car seat out of car when parked close to another. Staff not welcoming. Men changing in front of lockers near metal door. Why are single men changing near parents and children? Hardly any larger changing rooms with baby change facilities but loads of group changing rooms. Not child friendly at all!

Negative experience: Customer service here is absolutely shocking have visited this leisure centre twice and on both occasions one of the receptionists was extremely rude the first time I put it down to her just having a bad day but on the second visit her attitude was exactly the same. The swimming pool areas are great, very clean changing rooms and facilities are good for babies. It’s just shame the staff let the experience down.

Negative experience: What a ridiculous service, I have tried to book to attend a family swim session but it constantly says full booked and when I can book you can only do so for yourself and not a group. I have tried to call for support and the call has been cut out twice before I even get to a person and after being in a que for 10 minutes, this is supposed to be a comunity leasure centre and the comunity can't access it for all the registrations and red tape. Horrible service which needs drastic improvement. When they finally answered the phone a women who didn't even give her name started talking Iver me and told me I shouldn't have booked a place and started telling me she would have to cancel it making out I have messed up. I didn't even get to speak and she pretty much hung up on me. If you don't want people to book maybe put that on the website...

Fantastic experience: This is a really nice leisure centre. The swimming pool was a good temperature for my baby. The pool and changing facilities were spotless. The changing rooms would benefit from more spacious changing facilities for parents with babies and the lockers were a little on the small side but all in all a great place to go

Negative experience: We have visited today to go swimming with my 2 year old and I must say that it has been a very unpleasant and stressful experience. It really did put me off going there again. By all means we do respect all the government guidelines wherever we go due to Covid 19 restrictions however this place is something else. First of all booking a swimming pod costs you 15 pounds per 45 minutes session, the times are completely unsuitable as the sessions start late at 18.30pm yet again they are on a timetable for toddlers/infants/family swimming. Personally I think it's very late for small children but today we made an exception. We turned up half hour early, however we couldn't wait inside instead we were asked to come back 10 minutes before start of our session in that sort of regimental manner. Then we were allocated a changing cubicle by number however someone was already in it. We had to then wait for someone from reception to come and give us an assistance, by that time our session already started whilst we were waiting. One of the male guards was quite rude and looked confused himself giving out orders on what to do. And we couldn't use any other cubicles despite the changing area was half empty at this time. It was then a race to get changed. We managed to enjoy the time in the pool but I do must say that I have not experienced such an unpleasant bunch of staff of this particular leisure centre as tonight. One shorter stocky man was just looking angry, kept pointing around as if someone has broken a law, the other taller one with black hair kept starring at us constantly, it was quite intimidating and uncomfortable. We were told to make sure all the pool toys stay within our pod. God forbid that the bouncy ball got carried away with all the splashing into the next door pool. All in all, we love swimming, my 2 year old is the happiest when in water and we also do understand and respect current situation however there is just no need for bad attitude. I don't think we will be coming here again with kids, and I don't think I will be recommending this place to anyone else. Can you tell?

Negative experience: Different rules apply to Armley compared to other Leeds Leisure Centres. For example, I'm able to exercise in my grip socks in any other Leeds Leisure Centre but Armley. Ironically, they'd be happy if you're wearing your muddy sneakers but not grip socks that are made for the gym! Also, following the re-opening, I could use my towel until a couple of days ago. Now it's not acceptable; however, I can still use my towel at Morley and Holt Park.

Negative experience: I was conned by a woman to day at 6 o clock the gym was £2.80 and she charged me £4.50 so i would like to talk to a member of staff bout this
