Our comment from FitFit UK about Sobell Leisure Centre:
Welcome to Sobell Leisure Centre, a vibrant sporting hub located in London, United Kingdom. Our centre boasts fantastic facilities designed for families and fitness enthusiasts alike.
Highlights of Sobell Leisure Centre include:
- Impressive soft play area that kids love!
- A variety of sports facilities including a gym, indoor basketball court, and astro pitches for football.
- Great classes and activities for all ages.
- Friendly staff who are dedicated to helping visitors have a good experience.
- A cozy cafe for parents to relax while their children play.
Many families have enjoyed our spacious soft play area, with its engaging layout and engaging activities. However, there have been concerns regarding overcrowding, particularly during peak times. Some visitors feel that the current management needs to improve on crowd control to ensure a safe environment for all children.
Additionally, while our facilities are generally well-received, our changing rooms have received feedback for cleanliness and maintenance. It's clear that while the Sobell Leisure Centre has made impressive strides in refurbishment, continuous care is needed to keep our amenities at the highest standard.
In summary, Sobell Leisure Centre represents an exciting venue for recreation and fitness, perfect for children and families to enjoy, but ongoing attention to customer service and facility maintenance will help us deliver an even better experience in the future.

Sobell Leisure Centre: Opinions
Positive experience: Myself and my daughter attended a birthday party. This was our first time attending since the trampoline park was demolished and replaced with the Active Play Area. The first phase of this is definitely designed for younger children and has several areas for soft play including go karts. There is a small cafe with tables snd seating areas. My daughter and I are looking forward to returning when the next phase, Active Multi-zone opens.
Negative experience: staff aren’t very competent- very lovely but not well trained so not really a fault on their side - extremely busy. not good for babies and toddlers as there’s no “cut off” section to the baby area so older kids have access to the baby section through the main playing area. too many kids allowed in the area at once, never enough tables. literally one of the busiest soft plays i’ve ever been to in my life. not a good thing. also not good for kids who don’t like crowded spaces or loud noises and certainly wouldn’t bring a baby here. not worth the hype at all unfortunately very disappointed- think i’ll stick to clissold lol
Negative experience: It would have been 0 star if the soft play area wasn’t well made. It’s a shame how a beautiful play area in a rubbish condition in just couple of months. Bunch of dust everywhere, it’s absolutely filthy!
Negative experience: The new soft play area is absolute chaos. What were they thinking? Allowing 150 kids, aged 5 to 10, in at once makes it impossible to keep an eye on them. It’s completely overwhelming.
Negative experience: We got a parking fine because of neglect from both Better and the council. We had initially looked at the signs, which all said Pay by Phone. We tried to pay via the Pay by Phone app, but could not find that particular location. We were told at the reception by a young gentleman that parking was free. And after asking if he was sure, he confirmed. When we got out, we found a fine on our car windshield. I went to the reception to ask Better if they could provide a written note explain what had happened. The manager refused. I didn't ask they accept responsibility. I only asked they help me prove I genuinely sought to follow the rules. That was morally so wrong. When I got out, I checked again the signs, and only 2 out of 6 had a small sticker underneath to the side, barely visible, indicating I had to use the RinGo app. The council didn't want to accept partial responsibility for poorly indicating payment instructions, and forced me to pay the 40£. I feel like I was violated by other neglect, while I had tried to seek for ways to do the right thing. It was morally corrupt from Better that they didn't want to at least help me prove I had look for ways to pay for parking.
Fantastic experience: Amazing soft play
Fantastic experience: The new active play / soft play area is seriously impressive. Really nice for kids!
Negative experience: Soft play is dangerously overcowded since they don't enforce wristband colours and people stay much longer than their alloted hour. The manager said it's not her responsibility to ensure the staff are managing the site correctly. Someone will be seriously hurt.
Fantastic experience: The new soft play centre is incredible! Best one we have been to ever.
Fantastic experience: Great variety of classes and activities!!
Fantastic experience: Went for a birthday party, kids had great fun only down side was the traffic that day so it took ages to get into the car park
Positive experience: The new soft play is the best we’ve been to but ONLY at off peak times. We organised a weekend birthday party for my 4 year old and on the website it indicated we could book a “party room”. When we arrived, it was completely disorganised and we were given a cordoned off section at the back of the main room. When the maximum number of kids is reached at around 145, and there are 145 + parents, it is complete CHAOS. It’s very difficult for staff to monitor the wristbands and every 15 minutes, waves of more children come in. Such a shame as it’s a brilliant and much needed facility. Please sort the party booking system and overcrowding out Sobell.
Fantastic experience: I been to soft play with my kids, they really loved it so different activities
Fantastic experience: Took my children soft play here today and the reception lady's were so lovely and polite and very welcoming and overal such a huge space to play in. My 3 year old is autistic and he loved the floor lights ect. Will defiantly come back..
Positive experience: Facilities excellent. A real shame that it was too busy. Hard to keep track of where your children are because it’s so busy which feels unsafe. Either sell less tickets or ensure the whole place is cleared out at the end of a session before letting others in! It could be the best soft centre in the area if they did this.
Negative experience: They have a new play session starting every 15 mins. The soft play area is so overly crowded, it has to be a health and safety concern. You can barely breathe in there. It is so busy. They sell far too many tickets. Its such a shame as staff are lovely and facility is clean, being newly built. However, kids cannot enjoy their time as they feel overwhelmed by bigger children running recklessly. Sadly will not be returning.
Positive experience: The soft play is huge and in great condition - but overcrowded and overwhelming for smaller children (Eg 2-3yr olds) due to all the bigger kids. The indicates max capacity of 145 children is too much even in such a big space... Fyi the public parking is on the north west corner, not on the south east side - see photo for pricing
Positive experience: Great place good location and facilities. Be careful with parking - was told free parking on the phone but it’s not.
Negative experience: I tok my 6 year old son to the new soft play area and it was overcrowded! Super noisy, the coffee was rubish and had to wait 15 minuts for a coffee which tasted just like watter, there ware no kids menu to eat and £7.95 per hr er kid and £5 per parent it's way to much. New people with kids coming in every 15 minuts, unorganised stuff which to be honest Sobell took years to build that and it was no enjoyable day. Giving 2 stars as the soft play itself was good.
Fantastic experience: Excellent place to be fit , it has gym ,indoor basketball court, yoga session and two astro pitches for football
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! We visted the new soft play which is a childs dream. The staff where so friendly and went out of their way to help me namely Imaan Thuraya, Lee and Adam. -Soft play is big enough for Adults to play along side children -It is clean -There is one way in and out of soft play
Positive experience: We visited the new adventure play area . The 8 year old had a great time but the 3 year old had a miserable time because it was too overwhelming and busy and she refused to go on after 10 minutes ,the younger ones really don't stand a chance among the boisterous older children..it felt like unorganised chaos ...145 capacity is alot of children . The seating area for parents needs improving and the cafe had barely any seating ,just a few tables and chairs and I just felt it hadn't been thought through properly in it's design and operation ...
Positive experience: Soft play is lovely in terms of facilities and cleanliness but as a previous reviewer said no rush by staff to exit on time slots… theres no point in booking time slots then? It was ridiculously busy to the point where it was not enjoyable for the children because of how packed it was. I wont be back here any time soon.
Fantastic experience: So much fun the children’s indoor play, so many great things for the kids to do and adults can enjoy aswell. Really lovely thing to do as a family.
Positive experience: Took my kids, family and friends here to the new soft play and it was a great day out , I loved how spacious it was inside and had lots of slides, plus the staff were friendly and didn’t rush us out by time slots ;which I appreciate a lot. Toilets are pretty and new too Thank you!
Fantastic experience: The soft play activity is superb I would say it needs a staff overlooking the play areas as the bigger kids interfere with the under 2s which could cause accidents...
Negative experience: no showers so the facilities are unusable
Fantastic experience: Lady personal trainer was very helpful
Positive experience: Pitches for football are ok but they haven't had a working shower in the changing rooms for over a year and they still charge over £100 for a pitch booking
Fantastic experience: Good Staff they really organised themselves then very good in their job ain’t very good swimming lido I went to the Lido really good Lido good swimming pool good lockers good showers very good night use the how to dry my trunks very good to place to go for other people want to use the swimming pool at Kings Cross very good place to go for other people want to go. It’s really good.
Positive experience: It's a sport centre under going refurbishment. But still open..go enjoy...
Negative experience: The worst gym I have ever been very dirty and smelling really bad I just want to tell you that stay away from this gym
Negative experience: Not a friendly atmosphere and one member of staff was unkind and frankly rude. Definitely not brining my kids back here.
Fantastic experience: Has gym and ice skating and tennis club and football ground indoor and outdoor and free parking, but you must let know the recitation your vehicle number plate.
Positive experience: This organization has a better location geographically, With so much furnished rooms, with better service and safety.
Fantastic experience: A great public sports centre even offering trampolining for kids and adults alike!
Fantastic experience: Best gym in town! Still stands! Still stands! 29-8-24
Positive experience: It's under refurbishment so although open, lots closed and limitations as to what you can do, the reception staff are quite unwelcoming and butch, mainly one. The soft play is such a big space but has barely anything in it, it had a few soft building pads,a large entertaining connect four stand up unit and a tiny ball pit with lots of balls...and that's it..needless to say my child got bored after 20minutes, and we lasted 30 mins, don't know that I'd go back.
Fantastic experience: Gymnastics is amazing my teachers are so supportive 1 day I got front handspring on the table vault
Negative experience: Soft play - the centre is still very much bare bones from the flooding last year. Went today for the first time and truthfully they shouldnt be putting on scheduled play time. Its a room with gymnastic mats, a few soft shapes and balls. Also no lift to get the buggy up/downstairs. Someone helped me with the buggy going up and I was fine coming down but I only have 1 baby but othees may struggle. I look forward to visitng when its renovated.
Fantastic experience: Ive gone trampolining with my school friends. They give you grippy socks and do a presentation in front of a tv to teach u the rules. it was fun, good memories!
Negative experience: Staff are friendly and do their best but GLL/Better are killing this place. They've already successfully killed the ice rink... what next?
Fantastic experience: My Zumba dance teacher give us exciting dance routine
Fantastic experience: Amazing facilities and yoga and pilates classes. Been going there for years and impressed. The ice skating rink is such a great thing to have at a community leisure centre.
Positive experience: Not the best place but the staff were alright and not the nicest. But I will come but a few times a year. The prices were a bit overpriced and would recommend to make them a bit lower. Thank you very much
Positive experience: It is cold. No heat in main area. Apparently 18 degrees in gym but doesn't feel like it. Main door to gym doesn't close properly so can feel breeze coming through. Reason: Bad Water damage last August and some equipment still not fixed. (After 7 months)
Negative experience: This place has changed ever so much since I was a kid. Tha5s going back 25 years, I used to go everywhere and they also had special offers and prices for half-term all day passes for kids. Not sure if they do that anymore. I.took my daughter to the trampoline Park, I must say it is a heck of a lot of fun BUT get your fitness up as you don't realise how tired and shorting jumping around can be. Good little waiting area, good for parties, I would just suggest that when waiting to go in that the team ard a bit more speedy, those running late to the allocated time slot should loose time, you shouldn't make everyone wait for 1 or 2 people to hurry up. Staff are a bit uncaring but you only see them when you go in n that's it so not a big deal. Overall I would bring my kids again to the trampoline park. Update: now not reopening the ice rink, very sad news! Lost 1 star
Positive experience: Lovely leisure centre, with lots on offer. We've been to soft play, gymnastics, ice skating, and there's lots more. Sadly at the moment reduced due to flooding and now repairs. Only reason for three stars instead of 5 are the minging ladies toilets downstairs. They need replacing.
Fantastic experience: I am infinitely grateful for the support of Ukrainians and the opportunity to visit your institution free of charge.
Negative experience: Very mixed service and frustrating experience. With the exception of Eileen’s body conditioning and cycle classes and Tina’s yoga classes (both trainers are really excellent), other classes regularly start late or are cancelled without notification. The centre charges £3 if you miss a class you’ve booked, yet cancel classes themselves without notification even if you’ve booked - so you may turn up to a cancelled class. The gym also does not have wifi which is unusual.
Positive experience: Use to come here for years as it’s quite local to me. I tend to opt for the gym, steam and occasional classes which on most occasions have been a pleasant experience. My usual visit consists of gym then steam, to which, after a sweaty session working out of course I’ll be hitting the showers before entering the steam facilities. On one notable occasion as I sat quietly, minding my business, enjoying my relaxing steam session. A FAT, nosey, old biddy body abruptly interrupts me …. “Excuse me! You’ve got to shower before you come in here”, shocked at the sheer rudeness I just replied “I have” without giving a thought to retaliate. “Well, I didn’t see you!” OMG is this woman for real?! - she “didn’t see me” because she walked in when I went back into the changing cubicle (as she walked in) prior to entering the steam room and AFTER I had come out the shower to adjust my bikini bottoms as they were almost falling off . I didn’t bother to explain as why should I have to? I just asked her why she was watching me. On other occasions you will come across a bunch of middle aged prunes, hogging the loungers all day, eating fruit they’ve packed for their day out, having a mothers meeting and gossiping about people - I had also been a target once (not sure why but I always seem to attract the weirdos) - all because I’m minding my own business, going in to do what I intend to do (to relax not join in idle gossip). “You can’t be like that in here” one shouted - as they didn’t get a response from me, they make sure you know they are talking about you (highlighting your race etc). Middle aged bullies thinking they own the place in the steam/sauna room, AVOID if you can! Better to use the facilities at the Archway branch. Overall Sobell is a decent centre but ruined by the calibre of people who frequent their steam/sauna facilities.
Negative experience: Very expensive, we paid for an hour which is not value for money We spent 15 minutes watching a video, not all activities were available, I say if you are a local resident we should of had a discount and be able to stay longer with our children, after all it is summer holidays
Positive experience: I play squash here with a friend roughly weekly. The courts are decent, though it's a bit of a lottery whether the lights will be on or whether you need to hunt down a staff member to get a token. Staff are generally friendly if a little elusive at times and they could do with having two rather than one at the front desk as queues can build up. The changing rooms are definitely the worst part of this leisure centre - showers sputter at you rather than actually shower you, they often smell and recently there was literally a pair of soiled underwear in them. They also don't feel that clean and the hair dryers in the men's changing room have been broken for months. At £14+ for 40mins, the squash court pricing is also a little steep. Can't comment on the gym or other facilities.
Fantastic experience: Went to a Spin class recommended from a friend.. was proper hardcore! Will be choosing the right time to work up to it as you need to be super fit to come out of it not feeling the burn.. will work up to it in the next few weeks! The teacher was extremely good though! Much respect to Saturday’s spin class!and it’s participants!
Fantastic experience: The trampoline area is one of the best in central London. Definitely recommend a visit. They also have a gym, and ice rink, and other amenities that are usual to Better centres.
Negative experience: Used to love this place, been coming here for years. But last weekend was the last straw. My son is nonverbal autistic and was treated disgustingly by the employee of this centre. I have seen many other reviews on other sites also complaining of untrained and incompetent staff, as well. Obviously there is a trend. The heavy set black woman with the furry fake eyelashes has earned a formal complaint from me, due to her grievously unprofessional attitude and behaviour in the soft play.
Fantastic experience: My daughter loves this place there twice now. Both times where to attend her classmates birthday parties. Great way to burn off a little bit of energy.
Negative experience: Rang me to cancel my booking 30 mins before my session, due to double booking issue on their system… already halfway to the centre… I would call them to book IF they actually pick up their phones… don’t trust the app!!! Disappointed
Negative experience: Nice centre but couldn't use the showers as they wanted to close at the same time as our ice hockey session finished. So had to go home sweaty and smelly. Paid to use the facilities but wasn't allowed, hence the 1 stars rating
Fantastic experience: My family love the Sobell Leisure Centre, my youngest is always asking to go to the soft play area "the fun ball maze" and my eldest loves either trampolining or ice skating. Theres lots more on offer and available to do but the aforementioned are our regular activities and we always have fun. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the changing areas and toilets are kept in good order on our visits.
Negative experience: Booked a party there for 20 children: £400. Email communication was abysmal. I had to go there personally, twice. Phone is not an option. (Only did it because my kid was very keen.) Kids enjoyed the trampolining, but food quality was poor, asking for extra squash was a bother, switching off the lights to sing happy birthday didn’t happen. The parties are booked back to back, staff is stressed, unapologetic and shouted at my guests to hurry up 5 min before we were suppose to leave - I didn’t think we were late at all. Uncalled for. Never again.
Fantastic experience: My son has been doing trampolining lessons here for years and loves it. His coach Ebony has developed his confidence and encouraged him to learn and challenge himself at his own pace. I would really recommend these lessons.
Fantastic experience: Great center with many different activities like gym, trampoline, squash, badminton, cafeteria, ice skiing and so much more. Great place to go with family and friends
Negative experience: The parking at this leisure centre is RIDICULOUS !!! The leisure centre has gym, soft play, trampoline park, tennis court, ice rink and more. The staff park is half empty while the costumers car park was full, and the size maybe had capacity for 20-30 cars maximum. Even the space to park is very limited between the bays. The car park is not safe due to the lack of space for car manoeuvres. Arrived 15 minutes before time and was late as I was waiting for parking space, I was close to leave the place as lost hope that I will even manage to get space.
Negative experience: I waited in a queue of 7 people for over 20 minutes on the telephone customer service line. When I reached the front of the queue, a message then said that they were too busy and cut me off. Seems to not respect people who use the service. I was calling to try to book an activity in the Sobell Centre. The helpline repeatedly says bookings can be made on the website, but for the trampoline park, it only displays the next week’s calendar to book. If a few months were available to book, the helpline would probably have a shorter queue and they would have more resources to help with enquiries that a website cannot deal with. Seems to be poorly run.
Negative experience: Absolutely TERRIBLE experience at Trampoline classes. The instructors just sat and barked orders without actually demonstrating anything. Such rude and cold people I have no idea why they decided to teach children as a job! AVOID AVOID AVOID
Negative experience: My kids were shout at trampoline park. Staff is very rude and unpleasant, do not let kids use facility in rude manner. My son cried after this cold hating attitude of tall black guy in trampoline park.
Negative experience: There staff are the most racist characters. I speak with accent and was humiliated in this centre already second time. First in trampoline park, second on ice rink. What am I doing? Why did I go there second time?
Negative experience: HORRIBLE SERVICE. Get money from you online for skating, than say that adult must supervise but there are no opportunity to buy space for mum as they are fully booked and in the end they do not refund money. They do not let you skate and humiliate you verbally and do not refund. What a spoilt birthday of my son! I was on the phone for 40 minutes and was cut off without connecting to the agent. NEVER AGAIN I use BETTER. By the way the staff is rude, extremely rude in trampoline park there as well. Saying words:"Hey you, I am talking to you!" when I wanted to make a picture of my 3 sons. Scary place
Positive experience: Simply but functional place to make a PCR test, only one upgrade was to have the possibility an cleck to help you to take correctly the sample....
Negative experience: This place has gone to far, and paying public has to be made aware. The staff are antisemitic, they judge you by your colour and race which is clearly visible, kids get verbally abused by staff, For anyone thinking of visiting this place, if you belong to a religion/culture stay far away if this place, they will racially profile you and treat you as they wish.
Negative experience: I really wish that I could leave a better review. I joined this gym as I wanted to do the induction promotion which was running. On joining, I could not get in touch with the team through phone or the website and there was no way to book the induction programme on the app. I ended up going in to ask about this as it stated that I would receive access to it in the contract. Everyone I spoke to looked confused, as if they had never heard of it although it was listed as a contract feature. Finally, I found someone who new and booked the induction which was good. I was told that they would be in touch with me in a few weeks to book the next one but this never happened. Classes there are quite standard, it depends which class you go to. Another reason I decided to leave was because there is not much choice for classes. If you want to get in touch with Sobell, don't bother ringing. You will be on hold for hours and never get through or you will and they will hang up on you. I don't think I have ever managed to speak to someone on the phone. The gym is a good gym but every time I was there I would have to rush home with an allergic reaction. I think this was to the blue wipes they use to clean equipment. It would get into my eyes and make them swell. Better charge you if you cancel a class unless you let them know 4 hours ahead. It also doesn't give you the option to state why you are cancelling. Overall, if you know what you are doing in the gym, this is a good gym to visit. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend the classes as there are not that many at appropriate times and every time I have been there instructor's have been late to class.
Positive experience: Fun trampoline park but you only get an hour and they take up a lot of it with waiting around, getting socks and watching a video. For the hygiene 1 star.. hand sanitisers empty, soap dispensers in toilets empty, dirty in toilets, did not see staff sanitising anywhere - come on guys do your bit!!
Fantastic experience: Ice ring, trampoline Park, soft play, gym. I used ice ring. They have reasonable price and booking timings are good idea. It is not crowded. My son is going to Karate club. The teacher is nice and he enjoys.
Positive experience: Booked trampolining for kids 19 months to 11years. Nice pleasant experience everyone was very happy! They enjoyed jumping freely, the slide, dodgeball, basketball, gladiator. The staff were nice and engaged. Clean environment. There's a good space upstairs for under 5's. Seating area is well spaced for watching the safety video before jumping. There's seating to watch if you're not jumping and a cafe. Toilets were nice and clean. My kids have been asking to go back again!
Fantastic experience: Great trampolining park ! Very safe ! So many varieties of trampolines, never knew there were so many! Looks like good fun for kids, saw adults, toddlers & teenagers using it !
Positive experience: Good to have a cafe and some sitting areas to chill after playing sports. Toilets are quite often not very clean unfortunately.
Positive experience: Visited here a number of times over the years for the trampoline park and Ice skating. The trampoline park is quite over priced for a 45min session but does have some nice features although the slide needs reservicing as there is no slip to it not to mention there is static electricity as you go down it. The lack of slip resulted in me scrapping my arm. The ice rink is lovely and well kept, pricing reasonable too. I think they need to allow customers in slightly earlier as 5mins before an activity isn't enough time to prepare or use the toilet before the activity begins.
Positive experience: Massive sport centre, we booked squash courts there before finding out they no longer hire our rackets or sell balls. Went to the nearby sports direct on Holloway road to get some squash balls so we could play. The sport centre staff were very helpful.
Negative experience: We booked three courses for badminton from 20:00-22:00 pm on 1st Oct at Sobell Leisure Cemtre. When we arrived, the staff in reception told us that there’s something wrong with system and there’s a double booking, so we had to wait for 30 mins to play. We waited there 30 mins because we thought we could play till 22:00 pm, as we previously booked in advance. We started play at 20:30pm. After 45 mins, one of staff (black male, probably from 20-30 years, with braids) came to us and asked us to leave, acclaiming the booking system is wrong and there’s another group needed to play there. Without giving full details of how we were gonna be compensated, or getting any sincere apologies, we were told to leave. The women (black young female, with ponytail, she was working in reception on 1st Oct at night) interrupted when we tried to talk, and raised her voices without listening to us first. We feel extremely disappointed and hurt after this. Because we, as loyal clients who suffered from your booking system (not only once), no only couldn’t we receive any sincere apologies, but also have had to endure unfair treatment, rudeness, and disrespect from your staff, when we didn’t spin anything wrong.
Negative experience: Extremely bad attitude from staff. Court been double booked due to better.org’s website system error. No formal apology from the gym staff at all. Instead of 120mins court time which we originally booked, we only played 40mins, after 30mins waiting time. Staffs were talking like we should be thankful to them as they could just ‘kick us back’.
Negative experience: Their staff is extremely rude. When their system went wrong with double booking, the staff asked us to leave instead of giving sincere apologies first
Negative experience: Well, it is okaaaayish..I am very particular about hygiene, the toilets have to be inviting to use, fresh and clean. I did not see any buffet, to buy drinks, or snacks.. The play are is good. I think some fresh air would be great and natural light. Sorry for this review, but I think improvement is necessary specially there are many activities running in this centre. I wish you all the best.
Negative experience: extremely upset and disheartened. I took my son trampolining with 5 of his friends as a birthday treat. I then tried to set up a cake at an empty table surrounded by other empty tables completely out if the way when a member of staff called Tanya came storming over and said RIGHT I NEED YOU TO PACK EVERYTHING UP RIGHT NOW. I replied oh I'm sorry do you mind if I ask why as I have done this numerous times in the past. She then said the candles were a hazard unless in the special party room. I said OK sure is it as all possible I could please just cut up the cake and give it out to the children as they leave. She then tells me I can't do this as her staff may have nut allergies. I pay a monthly membership and spent £60 on entry for them to bonce plus money on slush and she couldn't even have the decency to talk to me nicely. Presumably because I hadn't spent 100s of pounds on the party room! I have been going to sobell centre since I was a small child and taking my children there since babies, I've paid for so many parties in sobell over the years and set up cakes and never been treated this way. Definitely will be looking for a new center to spend my time and money on. I honestly felt bullied by Tanya what a horrible experience
Negative experience: Took my child to the soft play , reception staff were polite and professional however , The soft play staff member was rude, unprofessional with a bit of an attitude problem. I won't be returning to the sobell softplay again.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service! Very rude and unhelpful staff! Got charged for booking even when we didn't get to go in because staff weren't accommodating and was too late by the time they let us go in.
Positive experience: It was very fun with lots of things to do for all ages. My only problem is that the wipe out is barely ever open, I don't just mean in the session but every time I go, it's closed. I asked a member of staff and they said it wasn't open even though in the safety video, another member of staff said that everything WAS open
Negative experience: Soft Play in dire need of brightening up. And beyond that, don't dare be late if you want to get your moneys worth. Unbearably hot in there also. Surrounding area is very undesirable, and very difficult to get to. Won't be going back.
Fantastic experience: Polite staff, great equipments, classes entertaining
Negative experience: Don’t answer the phone, booked a party for my son and it was booked incorrectly.... spent over 100 pounds it was all wrong I tried every way to contact them Via phone, email, even turned up in person Then I went in to the sobell they said I need to speak to head office they can’t amend the booking there so they gave me an email just bounced back (snd their number just goes dead)!!!’ This is disgusting service How can I change it?? If you don’t have any form of communication available Covid is no excuse!!! Sort this out and give me my money back I do not have the time nor the energy to waste on this
Negative experience: The ice rink was adequately frozen but the trampolines were still the old manual style in which you have to jump yourself
Negative experience: One of the worse customer services ever. Took my son to the Trampolining centre but got charged twice. FOH team member advised me to get in touch through the website which I did 10 days ago and still not received any reply. Emailed again today and try calling however I got "we are receiving high volume of calls so go on the website and you will find the answer you are looking for!!" It is a joke as their website is incredibly bad!! If I could give them 0 star I would. Anyway, I am hoping I will receive the £20 extra I paid for 45min of trampolining.
Negative experience: So an employee said we were rude simply because we asked questions about the number of people allowed which the employee said was only 4 at a time (there was 6 of us) and the previous week we were allowed to go in with 5 members. Thus, there was confusion and a few questions we asked as a customer to clear up the rules and that apparently led us to being labelled as rude. Also she asked us to name names of the employee who let us in last week when they should have a rota and should be professional and carry out out internal procedures behind why these confusions occur in the first place rather than unprofessionally including the consumers in these discussions. I will no longer be going to Sobell Leisure Centre because it is unprofessional and rude to their paying customers.
Positive experience: It was a bit hard to find the number to buy the parking ticket (we aren't local!), but the centre itself was great. We had booked a trampoline session for the kids, though there was a lot of rush and confusion with where to go, and where to buy the socks etc. The staff were friendly, though the safety video was not something being particularly watched by anyone in the group. Make sur RTO take kids to the bathroom before jumping, as they have to go all the way around the building to follow the one way system back to use them once their session has started! It's very difficult to understand what is being announced on the loudspeaker, though staff often translate on the floor luckily!
Fantastic experience: Very nice centre, due to Covid, the slide was closed but there were less people allowed so we could use other attractions more freely and it was more enjoyable than usual.
Positive experience: Good facilities, great classes mostly opens late friendly staff have a cafe if your hungry only it closes really early so if your on a late workout you'll have to eat outside. Very big gym lots space always busy lots of life it's a gym that motivates you to work hard if they could sort out the wifi issue on the treadmill so can watch you tube while running would be fantastic but overall definitely ok I use it regularly
Negative experience: They need to repair the place asap. Steamroom has a permanent flood in it. The daily users complain when you clean it lol. Showers are abysmal.
Positive experience: We had a nice morning and my 19 months old really enjoyed the soft play area. I must say it's a bit dusty and not as clean as I would expect it to be.
Negative experience: My friends son was trampolining from 5. To 6 i went to get him a drink at 5.15 to be told the shop was shut it's very hot in their the shop should stay open to the session had finished
Positive experience: Six really great courts which ought to be ideal for Tournaments until you realise there's no nearby secure space for everyone's bags. Consequently the balcony resembles a land fill site. Probably could be sorted by moving some lockers nearer but hey this is Squash, the poor relative of all the Sports.
