Positive experience: Alas the Tennis Centre needs some TLC and easier route through by phone would be nice.

Positive experience: Went along to use the steam room today. Was quite disappointed by the cleanliness of the steam room. The floor felt grimy there were stains up the door. I’ve used the pool and other facilities before this visit & found everything to be clean but was very disappointed by the overall cleanliness of this particular facility.

Negative experience: Steam room is always dirty, was going to wellington leisure centre because of refurbishment and in wellington is always clean,

Positive experience: The gym lately is full of kids playing on their phones and not really doing anything, quite annoying when you’re waiting to use a piece of equipment and they’re just sat there!

Positive experience: Good gym, although the equipment before the refurbishment was better and more functional. The steam room and sauna are always dirty or damaged but it doesn't detract much from the experience. Nice staff

Positive experience: Only fault with the place is the state of the health suite /steam room area the gym is good and enough equipment to train the whole body. the steam room looks and smells like it's never been cleaned and smells like a sewer I've never experienced a health suite so grim ... After complaining to management on my next visit I have to commend the team on duty 01/04/24 for promptly acting on my complaint,the health suit was closed down and received a deep clean whilst I trained . I was able to use the health suite after a good work out without complaint I have amended my review from 2 stars to 4 stars .please keep the standards up

Fantastic experience: All you would expect from leisure centre is there. No issues

Negative experience: Staff seem nice. Only used the health and centre and changing rooms. Pool is closed but I wasn’t aware. The health centre is a rusty old small place and to be honest was really gross. I’m sure it’s cleaned but I think just with age it looks really gross. Stayed about 15 mins then left.

Negative experience: The swimming pool is closed until July 2024 no information telling you this, no signs up nothing on website, and no-one picked up the phone when I called.. so I drove to the lesson not realising

Fantastic experience: Hi I honestly couldn’t thank the swimming instructors for helping my daughter this week during the swimming lessons. She started Tuesday and she was so nervous and by today Friday she didn’t want the lessons to end. The staff really looked after her, helped her and we’re so very patient with her and I honestly can’t thank them enough.

Positive experience: Lots going on at the leisure centre and the classes and services all a good standard. The changing rooms are a better quality than my paid for gym. The building could use a little curb appeal and some seating for those waiting for example for children in classes. There are basic vending machines but no juice bar, fresh food or coffee or hang outs.

Fantastic experience: Took youngest for swim lessons. She really enjoyed it. Lovely staff and clean. Pool is a good size, about half the size of wellingtons but big enough for what we went for.

Positive experience: The complex here has many sports options, including swimming, tennis (indoors and out), courts for 5 a side football or badminton or whatever, a well-kitted gym, etc.

Positive experience: This place is OK, my review only comes from a swim perspective. The changing rooms are always clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful, the only pain is that the adult only are very limited to either 630am or as late as 930pm some nights. It gets quite busy on some occasions and people don't stick to the rotation in swimming, the lifeguards in attendance seem reluctant to correct people to swim in the correct manner. You could go to the public swim but my 2 experiences of that has been teenagers messing about. The facilities are great for the price of £4.05 pay as you go with a TLC card but it's hit and miss if you get a busy session or a quiet one and if people swim in the correct manner.

Positive experience: Oakengates Leisure Centre is an excellent place and means of enjoying exercise. There are excellent swimming facilities, the pool being first class to learn to swim. The classes available to learn to swim cater for all ages and levels of capability. Each class is run by a qualified instructor and the thing that really impressed was the fact that a lifeguard was continually patrolling the baths. The swimming lessons are usually 30 minutes duration. For parents bringing children to learn to swim there is a viewing gaiiery around two sides of the pool with seating with excellent views of the pool. There is also a separate sports hall where badminton, basketball and netball are available at relevant times and days. The viewing gallery also is available for the sports hall. There is available an exercise facility available under the name of Aspirations, with all of the exercise machines that make up a first class gym. In the foyer there are coffee and soft drink machines.

Fantastic experience: A tidy leisure centre. I only use now and again but the gym has got a good range of machines. The free weights don't go too heavy so for stronger people it may not be enough. The gym is very clean with air conditioning and had small lockers for phones and car keys. The sauna and steam room are good too.

Negative experience: Very bad experience. Do not recommend. When the 1 year contract finished and i wanted to cancel the direct debit they made my life a living hell, basically i couldn't get rid of them anymore.
