Fantastic experience: I only used the laundry facilities but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, we took our own washing liquid but they had powder there to use. There is nowhere to sit and wait but the staff had no problem with us popping over the road to the distillery to have a dram while we waited. This was an extremely useful facility to have in the middle of our trip.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant place, staff are great ! Best disabled changing room / shower I have ever used, way in front of the ones Glasgow that’s for sure.

Positive experience: The staff are nice and friendly with usable gym equipment however the opening and closing timings need adjusting especially during the winter months when there is limited day light. Suggestion - The gym could be opened at 6am and close by 10pm with camera monitoring system in place. The swiming pool could remain closed off until later in the day, there would be no requirement for staff.

Negative experience: Regarding the Laundry Facilities only: Washer worked great, didn't leave suds on clothing. Dryer didn't seem to work. Ran it through twice (& having to pay twice), clothes were still incredibly damp. I ended up having to take them back to my B&B to hang dry & pray they don't smell mildewy tomorrow.

Fantastic experience: Took our baby swimming while on Islay for a holiday, all staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the pool to ourselves for just under an hour!

Positive experience: Expensive for islanders to use regularly

Fantastic experience: Fabulous center and so clean friendly, and the fact that distillery heats the pool makes it unique

Negative experience: The low rating is for the unhelpful and disinterested pool attendants who need training for customer service, it's the only place on the island where I've experienced this sort of attitude.I rang first to check there was lane swimming, turned up and paid and told I could lane swim, got into pool with 21 other bathers and was told by pool attendants that it was too busy to allow lane swimming , a pity such awful staff attitude spoilt my visit to this lovely pool

Positive experience: Nice wee pool, remember to bring cash as they don't accept card. 20p for the lockers.

Negative experience: Was there recently . Had a bad experience with a young attendant. Think her name was Lee. Very unprofessional and rude. Needs training on manners.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to work out in,friendly staff

Positive experience: Lovely little leisure centre. If the weather is bad it's a good place for a swim and some sauna. I went twice and there was barely anyone there so you have the pool and sauna almost to yourself. It costs£5.60 for both so good deal for money. The sauna is hot like hell but they start cooking it down in the evening so don't come last hour. Went to see the gym as well and it's small but fairly equipped. Definitely worth visiting

Positive experience: Laundry Facilities Used Only! I only used the laundry facilities as the washing machine in our rented house had broken. There is one washing machine and one tumble dryer, both industrial sizes, in a small room to the right of the entrance door. Tokens must be purchased from the leisure centre reception, and it cost me £11.60 for 1 load washed and dried (the load was equivalent to 2-2.5 of a normal home machine. I took my own detergent powder and conditioner, but they did have some there to use. The wash took about 44 minutes to complete and the drier about 7 minutes per round, I did two, removing the dried clothes after the first and leaving the slightly damp clothes for a further round. There isn't a chair in the room, so if you wait like I did then be prepared to lean on the washing machine. Alternatively you could pop over to the tourist information shop or Co-op and do some shopping. There are toilets you an use just inside reception.
