Fantastic experience: great gym, I was looking for somewhere I could do powerlifting & this gym exceeded expectations! The gym is never too busy even at peak hours, the staff are lovely & friendly - And the equipment is nice, good variety, and generally clean. There is a good choice of classes every day if you’re interested in that. Would highly recommend - much nicer than the other nearby commercial gyms in the area!

Negative experience: This is the minimum star that Google forces to give otherwise I would have given zero for their lack of customer behaviour and connectivity. Lack of system synchronisation between management and billing department. They hardly reply your emails . They just do monologue in their emails.
This is a very dishonest review. We have written to you several times and on the contrary you have not followed any of the guidance provided to help you and are now trying to blame us. When your account goes in to arrears you will receive automated emails notifying you of this. The same applies for when you cancel your direct debit. We cannot stop these automated emails until you have cleared your arrears and have reinstated your direct debit. We did not cancel your direct debit. Your responsibility under the agreement is to keep this active and to keep your account up to date. If you feel that you did not instruct your bank to cancel your direct debit then you must take this matter up with them as they are not allowed to cancel it without your permission. We cannot cancel your direct debit only you can. We have not caused the issue that you are having and provided all of the information that you needed to resolve the matter. This process was not followed by you. This has all been explained to you and you do not seem to want to accept any responsibility. As a result we are very disappointed that you have chosen to leave a bad review considering the facts at hand and that we have played no part in your issues.

Fantastic experience: Really fantastic place to train and focus on your gym goals. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. I left to find a gym closer to my work but ended up coming back to Fit Club after a few months as I liked that it was hardly ever over crowded.

Fantastic experience: It’s a nice, well- maintained gym which opens 24hrs. It’s right next to the station so quite convenient to go to after work. All the staff here are friendly, helpful and caring. Adil has been great throughout, good demonstrations and explanation on my induction day. They also run different classes which keeps me motivated to go to the gym. Overall, I am pleased with the service. Would recommend to anyone who is willing to join.

Negative experience: Be warned you have to give a month notice in order to cancel, even if you don't use the gym. 25 days is not enough. It's apparently okay for them to charge you because it's 'written in the contract'. Shady practices, even threatening to get debt collectors involved. Glad I won't be dealing with these guys again, I've had my family cancel their memberships as well, we'll take our business somewhere where every penny won't be squeezed out of us.
Many of our competitors in the area require 3 months notice to terminate an agreement so one billing month is very reasonable in the industry. We are very clear about this when you join and it is a term of membership. We cannot change this to 25 days and neither will your phone company, electricity company or your satalite television provider. It is poor form that you decide to go online and leave a poor review for a small local business because you did not want to follow the rules that you signed up for. It is not a catch, we are very clear about the procedure to cancel.
Fantastic experience: The gym has definitely got better since Adil has been there. Very caring and attentive when speaking to people helps out at anytime when needed especially being new to the gym.

Fantastic experience: This gym is perfect for every type of workout. The trainers here are professional and are very supportive. I would definitely recommend this gym to a friend or a family member. The equipments are well maintained and are hygienic. They have different sessions as well like yoga, pilates and lots more.

Fantastic experience: One of the best independent gym’s I have been to & been fortunate enough to be a long term member of. It is a 24 hour gym which is open even during the holiday season it is never really overly busy which I see as a positive as a persistent gym user. The staff are very friendly & welcoming whether you just joined or been there for sometime, every member of staff will make an effort with everybody in the gym no questions asked. There are some caveats which is down to individual factors for instance with myself I usually like an open plan style but despite being across two floors I still love the vibe & feel of FitClub. The ab crunch has been out of action & a few other machines to my knowledge have been out of action for sometime now so that I wish management to sort out ASAP that being said I haven’t been as much as I liked to in this particular case so it may already be sorted as far as I am aware. Finally the last caveat which again is more me being extra but just worth knowing before you come if you’re a potential new member or even for a day pass, we do have a free car park at FitClub but it is not the best I seen there is an office space I believe it is an office anyway. I am aware Namaste Lounge patrons park there during their busy times/periods maybe the gym could work a deal with another local business/office to extend parking as if you come at the wrong time parking can be quite eventful. Overall I’d recommend FitClub hence why I have given it 5* sure sometimes the plates are on the floor or by machines truthfully I am guilty of this but this is no fault of the members or the staff generally for the space it is kept clean & tidy. The dumbbells are always re-racked though so that is why I mention the weights plates, for what it is everyone staff & members alike do the best with what is available to them. Generally speaking I don’t think the staff get enough credit here as they’re always going above & beyond from my personal experience.

Positive experience: I have been at Fit Club for about a year now and I have no complaints about the range of equipment available or the friendliness of the staff. I do, however, have a couple of major issues in other areas. Since I have been there, I have seen very few of my fellow members wipe down benches after use, and almost nobody reracks their weights. Regularly, I see plates all over the floor and in areas they don't belong and no one seems to care. And I've noticed how acceptable it seems to be for member's to lounge on the equipment on their phones when other people are waiting to use it. At first, I saw these problems as minor nuisances, but after a year they have become more and more infuriating. The staff has been nothing but kind and helpful whenever I've interacted with them, but they MUST do better at enforcing the gym's well-published policies.
Hello Jason Thank you for your review. We do try to maintain gym etiquette in our club. Emails and phone calls are made to repeat offenders with bans and expulsions also enforced. As we have a much larger free weights area than most gyms (up to 5 times larger than some competitors) it is harder to maintain as some people do leave things lying around the larger areas. Our staff do work hard to maintain the environment and i am sorry that you have not seen this. In addition, we are a 24 hour gym and so do not have an end of day where we can reset the environment but we do have times in the week when we try a major reset. Please do speak to us at front desk and we will be happy to talk in detail to explain what we do and what more we can do to improve the experience for you.

Positive experience: I've been a member for six months. Pros: - You rarely have to wait for a machine. I haven't been upstairs to the weight room so I can't comment on that but downstairs you can usually find a machine. The only times I haven't been able to use a machine that I wanted to was during busy times (5:00PM - 7:30 PM, which is understandable). - There's a wide variety of machines to choose from. I like the amount of choice. - Never very crowded and other members seem nice. Cons: - Currently only half of the treadmills are working. One stopped working within the last couple of days but the others haven't worked since I've been a member. There are signs on a couple of the treadmills that say they're closed off for social distancing but I wonder if that's really the case. - Sanitising spray is usually water. - Music is too loud. This seems like part of an ongoing trend where businesses - all kinds of businesses, not just gyms - play bad music very loudly. I'm sure it's meant to be motivational but it's just intrusive. I have a pair of over the ear noise-cancelling headphones and sometimes I struggle to hear my music. And I'm listening to rock music, not soft music. I imagine it's a lot worse for people with earbuds. Half the current volume would be great. That way people who don't want to use headphones can still hear the music and people who do use headphones don't have to battle to hear their own musical choice. It's really close to me so it's nice to be able to walk down and workout whenever I want. If I had to drive and it was more of an undertaking to get there I'd maybe look somewhere else.
Thank you for your review. There was a long issue with parts for three treadmills that has now been resolved and all of the treadmills are running again bar one which should be resolved imminently. The sanitiser is the correct mix in the bottles. Regarding the music, we get complaints if we put the music too low also but there could be an issue in a certain place where a particular machine o that you like to use is placed. Fantastic experience: Really surprised to see the negative reviews as the management have always been so helpful with good communication during the 3 years I've been a member. The classes are great and varied as is the gym floor equipment. All the staff and instructors are so helpful and friendly. Really recommend this gym great value for money. No hidden costs for classes that other gyms in the area have .

Negative experience: Total waste of money. Never gave any induction in spite of several requests. Three weeks in my membership and no responses from the club I cancelled and they had the arrogance to charge the 30 days notice. Total rip off and horrible customer service.
Hello Mino Sorry that you decided to leave a bad review. You had spoken to a staff member who left and hadn’t booked your induction correctly. As soon as you brought it to the clubs attention we not only offered to book you in immediately but also compensate you for lost time. You refused. We then agreed to refund you and so are disappointed that you have decided to leave a bad review. Mistakes do happen in all businesses and we try to put things right if given the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately we were not given that opportunity on this occasion.
Negative experience: have to agree with below review Bar Barakat and Jason, I can confirm that is the correct gym from the picture (not sure why the owner trying to refute this). The gym has definitely taken cost cutting measures- and impacting the cleanliness of this place. It has definitely gone downhill last 2 years. The spray bottles that are scattered around to clean the equipment is basically water
We have no record of this person in our gym. it is very sad when people who have defaulted on payment try to get a few fake accounts to give bad reviews to businesses. The gym has been invested in over the last few weeks alone with brand new equipment like our Glute Driver and a Ski ERG and there is more to come. so stating that the gym hasn't been invested in is factually incorrect and just vindictive.
Negative experience: Avoid this gym if you only can! They do not represents any standards you would expect from any business. Honestly very horrible experience, especially from people working there. I've joined online and the very next day I went there for the very first time. I was disgusted about the gym and equipment and I've left after probably 10-15 minutes. Then, I've sent them an e-mail that I want to cancel my membership according to 14 days policy, but they replied that I cannot do that since I've already CONSUMED my membership and they have a video proving that I've already been at the gym. So they call this few minutes visit a consumed membership! I hope this shows you what kind of people are they and that is absolutely not worth any your time. It will cost you a lot of money and disappointment!
I am sorry that you are not happy. unfortunately the rules and terms of joining are very clear from the offset. I am sorry that you are not happy with that but we have offered a reasonable solution but have not heard back from you regarding this.
Negative experience: For a gym that has a cleaner this is the most filthy gym I've been to. Dust on the weights and on the machines. Dust underneath the machines. Holes in the wall with plasterboard droppings on the floor. Cable machines need an oil up because they dont work in sync with each other. Weights on cable machines stick together meaning I find myself pulling extra weight then what I actually set the machine to. Cushons on late pull down and calf machine slide off and feel uneven. Fit sense wasnt working so I had to use the door bell. Spoke to staff member who tried to give me instructions to sort the app out. Told the staff member once again app not working. Staff member left me outside . Honestly where is the common sense!? Come down and resolve the problem! 50 pound a month for dusty and dated equipment honestly owners what are you doing with all that money!? Invest a little into gym. Its filthy
Dear Jason, Thank you for taking the time to review. We are sorry to hear about your experience at Fit Club as we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service. As your name in google does not correspond to any member we have, we cannot contact you directly to resolve the matter. Also you have not contacted the club to seek a resolution and so we again do not know who you are. Please contact the club manager who would like to run through these issues with you in detail. In regards to the dust, we have investigated with our cleaners and we have found some dust build up in between the 5 stack multi station but not around any other machines. This has now been taken care of. If there is anywhere else, please do let us know. Our cleaners are now on top of this and have assured us they will maintain the high standard that they pride their work on. We have had issues with members leaving plates on the back wall which causes the plaster board droppings and due to this we are having some chequer plate put in to resolve this we have previously done this to other parts of the free weights area also. Our equipment is regularly serviced and weights sticking is a very easy resolve. Please let us know which machines you feel are sticking and we can have that looked in to. We have this week just had our full annual service of all equipment and so this should not be the case with any machine. Some people do not like the lat pull down on the 5 stack multi station but we have a free standing lat pull down on the first floor. Please try that machine. There was a system wide problem with the FITsense app which impacted a lot of users, members and staff alike, and this is why you were unable to get into the building on that one occasion. There was a sign on the front door that gave members the solution to resolve it which simply required you to log out and log back in. Please note, the office was closed when you attended and you were talking to a an out of hours team member who was trying to assist on this matter which is why he was unable to 'come down' and open the door'. Communication was lost very early in the call and when they reconnected you had departed. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Your feedback helps us to improve. I do encourage you to contact the club manager with any concerns as most things can be resolved or explained very quickly. Thank you

Fantastic experience: For those who find the gym a bit intimidating, the layout of Fit Club does a decent job of creating space for those who aren't workout junkies, especially with the fitness class offerings. In particular, I would highly recommend the Monday night yoga sessions, which are taught by a wonderful instructor, and are a great way to ease back in if you (like me!) have spent the past few COVID-years without much fitness or exercise.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym at all costs. After trying to cancel my membership for months to no avail, I cancelled my direct debit (with still a full month left until the next payment). My access to the gym stopped immediately although I should have had a month left considering I had paid £50 for that month. I am now being chased by debt collectors for triple that amount although I’ve been in contact with the gym and said I will pay the £50 that I owe (for an extra month even though I didn’t have access to the gym) once they confirm that my membership will be cancelled immediately after payment to avoid me paying even more for a service I didn’t receive. Do not join this gym. They do not cancel upon request and try to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Now I’m being chased and threatened by debt collectors (bare in mind I have an almost perfect credit score) to pay for a gym that I didn’t have access to during the time frame they want me to pay for. Ridiculous.
Hi Katie. unfortunately this is not true. You were told that you need to email in to give your months notice and you are allowed to use the gym during this time, but as per our rules, you must have a live direct debit to do this. We tried to liaise with you for 4 months and you were well aware that you needed to give your notice in writing and pay your previous arrears. You failed to do this and your account was then passed on to a collection agency.

Fantastic experience: Out of all of the gyms I’ve joined in the past, this is by far the best one. Always clean, open 24/7, great classes and above all outstanding staff. I’ve made so many friends; everyone’s friendly, and I’ve never felt uncomfortable here, which was a problem I had in the other gyms I went to. Great atmosphere and just overall a very good gym. The manager, Jemell, is especially helpful and makes sure I never run into any problems. Amazing gym!

Hello Bar I think you must have the wrong gym. We have our own free private car park for members and our price plans start from £29.99 per month. We also have no record of anyone with your name being a member of the club. If you are using an alias here then we would welcome you contacting us to discuss further. The images that you have supplied are not of our kit and i welcome anyone to visit and see this for themselves when you tour the club. Thank you.
Negative experience: I was a member of fit club gym until I cancelled my membership during lockdown (I called and emailed about the cancellation and noone said that the cancellation was not possible). At the time they did not inform me that they weren't processing cancellations. They then froze all gym membership payments for almost a year (again without informing me that my membership hadn't been cancelled). After about a year, they started to charge me again but now under a different name (clubwise). Since the direct debit was now under a new name I didnt realise I was still paying the gym. They have refused to offer a refund even though over the phone I was told if I emailed the gym my membership would be cancelled. They have been extremely misleading and have refused to give me my money back. As someone who was on furlough during lockdown and whose wife has been on maternity leave this is a very frustrating situation.

Positive experience: Updated review* Been a member of this gym for nearly 2 years so let's break down the pros and cons. Pros: 24/7, well equipped, great access to personal trainers, rarely full when you visit outside of peak hours. Cons: Scuffed & dirty equipment, damaged equipment will often go weeks/months before being repaired (if at all), very messy with plates and equipment being left all over the gym (rules on tidiness are very loosely enforced). Overall this is not a bad gym, in fact it's probably great if you just want to lose some weight, go to classes or receive PT sessions but if you're serious about training I would recommend a more specialised gym.
Thank you for your review. There have been parts issues since brexit which have caused a delay in repairing some equipment. This has affected all gyms. We currently have only one treadmill that is out of order due to this reason. We do enforce rules on members who leave the gym messy and our team work hard to keep the gym orderly. Our equipment is regularly cleaned. And we have a dedicated team to do this.

Negative experience: It’s disgraceful how The Gym can have air conditioning on in the summer months and yet all this place has is open windows in 31 degrees despite having vents for AC. So much for having a duty of care.
We have brand new air-conditioning on the first floor and studio. The second floor is all working fine. We have climate control in the gym and the units heat and cool the facility accordingly. Airflow can be disrupted when windows are opened. We have an extraction system on both floors also which is all working fine and recently serviced. Please contact reception on 01923450496 to discuss is you have an issue as we cannot identify you in order to contact you ourselves.
Fantastic experience: A good place for the vast majority of people to train. Only 24/7 gym in the Northwood area is a big plus and staff are all friendly and helpful. The PTs here are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced.

Negative experience: Update- To be honest I did offer to pro-rata the fees to support you, this way I pay what i have used for. Which is a total of two times using the gym. As I do appreciate all small business have been hit but if the gym is in poor condition and items are not working to a good standard, I am within my rights to be refunded under the CR Act. Rational is I am within my 14 day cooling off period. Regardless, if you choose to not show a level of integrity then you are within your rights to do so. Bad experience with the gym manger/owner. The Manager refused to refund monies within the cooling off period. Breach of their own terms.
Hello Rajan, I am very disappointed with your review. Our terms clearly state that if you have visited the gym before or after joining that you lose the right to a cooling off period. Despite that, as a gesture of goodwill we agreed to terminate your 12 month minimum term agreement immediately but as you had used the gym on a few occasions this month there is no refund due for this month which we see as very reasonable. Businesses like ours have been hit very hard during the pandemic and it is disappointing to see people trying it on during these times. UPDATE: Your number of gym visits is not accurate. In reply to your allegation, we do not have any equipment out of order in the gym. We are happy to discuss this further privately and are always reasonable where we can be.

Fantastic experience: Great gym: Equipment - Well equipped with everything and anything you'd expect Opening time - 24 hours Changing rooms - Clean and tidy, I have not tried the showers as I live close by Lockers - Once or twice i've seen a broken locker, but it's usually fixed/replaced very quickly! Team - Always friendly to say hello and have a chat, really made me feel more comfortable about attending a gym Hygiene - Gym is kept clean, equipment too, cleaning spray and tissue available for members to use before/after each exercise

Fantastic experience: Management and staff are really friendly. I had to cancel my membership for various reason and they were exceptionally helpful with this. Would definitely return to this gym! Clean and top equipment available.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for around 6 months now and thought from the very beginning that it was a great gym - open 24 hours, varied and maintained equipment, never crowded even in busier times, friendly staff etc. Now I've finally built up the courage to attend classes and they are simply amazing. I feel so motivated and the classes are so fun, especially barre fit and zumba. I love this gym!

Fantastic experience: The gym is excellent, very organised and clean, with plenty of equipment so you never have to wait. But this review is about one of the classes - Barre Fit with Vaani. OMG this is a brilliant but punishing class! Vaani makes you work muscle groups all over the body, but in a controlled way that leaves your legs, arms and abs thoroughly worked out! Really enjoy this class, and the feeling of my body getting stronger.

Positive experience: Great gym - only thing it needs is more machines to target your back. If you guys manage to rent out the downstairs, could be worth moving the punching bags downstairs to make room for some more back machines.

Fantastic experience: Below are reasons for my rating: - I joined this gym in Feb 2019 with a view to moving to Essex in June 2019. Although I had to sign up to the 12 month contract to become a member, I was able to terminate this 7 months early because my new address is more than 15 miles away by providing proof in form of bank/mortgage statement to Harlands Group. - Open all hours (perfect if you work long hours/odd hours) - very good and well maintained facilities for weight training, HITT, CrossFit and Boxing (6 bags) - Great security with thumb print technology - Never too busy in the 5 months I have been going - Good pricing of £40 monthly fee

Negative experience: DO NOT ENTER A CONTRACT WITH THIS GYM! IF YOU THINK YOU WILL EVER GET INJURED! APALLING BEHAVIOUR! I have been trying to cancel my gym membership due to a injury for the last two months! They refuse to freeze your membership for a month! You will need 2 different drs letters 1 to freeze then another to cancel - in their terms and conditions they say you only need 1 letter! I have paid £50 for theses doctors letters further more I have not used the gym! They charged me for a months membership whilst I was waiting for the doctors note for the actual cancelleation! I called Harlands once I emailed the proof and was told my membership had been cancelled on the 6th of March! On the 20th I find out the membership has not been cancelled and they are now asking for another £40! They are charging me essentially £80 and god knows how much more because they want to keep extracting money out of you! I have enough stress from my injury and pain to have to call over 10 times to cancel my memebership and be lied to!

Please contact the club and not Harlands and we will investigate this matter for you. We wish you a speedy recovery.
Negative experience: Rude staff, no trial options. I'm already a member of another gym so why would I sign up to another one without trying it for free first?!
Hello Frank We do offer a trial. The trial is £10. If you would like to take this up then please contact the club. Very strange that you would come on to google reviews because a business would not give you something for free.

Negative experience: Inadequate communication Long story short I was charged an extra unwanted month (Totalling £130 for only one month's gym use). --- I signed up to this gym explaining that due to my work & travel I initially only wanted to use it for one month and was told that's fine. (More fool me for not going through the terms as there was no verbal mention that the following day I would immediately need to notify the 3rd party company that they use in order not be charged for a second month). On several occasions I tried to get hold of the company that processes the payments and it took them over 2 weeks to respond to my email. I then called fit club reception & spoke to a member of staff that told me I would be able to get the second month refunded and that they would call me back but nobody bothered. A few days later I called again and spoke with one of the owners who also said they would call me back & again nobody bothered. In conclusion: After initially being enthusiastic with this new gym in Northwood Hills my experience has been frustrating to say the least. As gyms go it's pretty decent in terms of equipment and location & the staff are friendly but it's definitely not worth the payment hassle. I just wish they cared about customers as much as they do when it comes to signing you up.
We do not offer a ‘One month’ deal. Our month to month offering is a minimum of one billing months notice. Happy to discuss this further in person but we do not offer a ‘one month only deal’

Fantastic experience: Fit Club in Northwood is an excellent new gym in Northwood Hills. They have a great range of classes and equally importantly great trainers including an MMA fighter who ran an excellent group training session for us. The boxing area is phenomenal - well done to the team at Fit Club. Highly recommend this place

Fantastic experience: Great new gym in Northwood Hills, loads of weights and more benches than I have seen anywhere else. Equipment is brand new! A number of squat racks, and deadlift bars - good range of equipment not just the bars! The CrossFit area upstairs is pretty cool, with an indoor sprint track and sled run. Battle ropes, box jumps and hurdles - it’s got everything you can ask for. You can set up a good session just in that space! The boxing and MMA influence is quite a big factor - lots of punch bags - don’t forget your gloves! The MMA classes are really fun, as well as really punishing - good balance! Highly recommended gym!

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym - the team who run it understand fitness and have got the balance between comfort and function spot on. The equipment is top spec, there is a dedicated app to see your gains and great array of classes. It's clear the guys who run the place care about helping people improve their fitness - no matter what level they are starting from. If you are looking for somewhere to work out near Northwood, this is THE choice.

Negative experience: Don’t even have lockers, I would always have to worry about my bag. Over priced and you have to pay extra £30 for a platic card to be able to access the gym. Few of my spinning classes were cancelled and they let you know just half an hour before it’s supposed to start. They have 3 showers and 3 changing rooms. Also membership cancellation process is massive pain and it’s almost impossible to sort it out. Waste of money and time. If you’re just trying it out it’s not worth it, it’s like any other cheaper gym!
Hi Dunja Thank you for taking the time to rate our business. We are sad to see that you are not satisfied but would love to put this right. Just a few answers to your points however; We do have lockers. Please visit reception if you are not sure about their location. We have 4 shower rooms which works very well in a mainly residential area. We have state of the art fingerprint recognition software for entry to the club and 24 hour monitored CCTV throughout the property to ensure the safety of our members and their possessions. Like all new gyms, in the first few weeks there are always teething problems with class timetables. We did have some cancellations in the first few weeks after we opened, however we have not had a class cancellation for several weeks now apart from due to instructor absences/illness and no late cover available. To cancel your membership we have a dedicated customer services number or email address where you can give notice to cancel. You can cancel by email or phone by giving one months notice as per our agreement with you. We are very competitively priced for this location and have been nominated for multiple awards at the National Fitness Awards. We would love to discuss any issues you are having and would so like to put right how you feel about the club. Please do speak to our gym manager and we would love to put this right.
