Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of getting a back massage from Tahler, and I can confidently say it was an experience worth sharing. The massage itself was perfectly tailored to my needs. Tahler took the time to ask about any areas of tension and adjusted the pressure perfectly throughout the session. I really appreciated the way they focused on my specific discomforts without overlooking the overall relaxation experience. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your comfort and wellbeing, I highly recommend booking a session with Tahler. I'll definitely be returning!
Fantastic experience: not bad, i'd leave 4 or 3 stars but i'm a nice person. machines are a bit busted and old and dont bother going when theres more than 50 people

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! All the staff make it such a friendly and welcoming place. If you’ve not done so already I can highly recommend getting a sports massage from Tahler. Not only is he a top bloke, he knows his stuff too. The way he explains what he is doing during the massage, the thoughtful prep and after care he puts in by checking in with you before and after appointments helps to make the process professional and highly effective. He sorted my traps and shoulder out and I can train without any pain now. I’ll be booking in with Tahler once a month from now on.

Fantastic experience: It's a big and spacious gym with great machines that you'd expect to find in a gym and also a good sized warm up area for stretching and circuit training. Better to go when it isn't busy.

Positive experience: Much better after the refurbishment however I use the gym primarily for cardio and it is consistently far too warm to exercise comfortably e.g today is a warm summers day and it felt the same temperature inside as it did outside.

Negative experience: I did used to go to this gym until I received a fine for parking even though I entered my reg. I asked the gym twice to sort this as well as protesting the charge with the company. Heard nothing back then had to pay £170 when I thought this was sorted. Gym is also massively overcrowded and machines are broken all the time as people don’t respect the gym. Won’t be going back .

Negative experience: Joined recently and it is miles better after the refurb. However: - My knees were black after setting up for hip thrusts. - It is too hot even for weights + cardio is unbearable. Staff have said aircon is set to 22 degrees - so there is no issue with the aircon, it is just set to that high temp. Not helped by the windows in front of treadmills acting like a greenhouse.

Fantastic experience: No email or notification that they would be closed from 8th Jun to 2nd Jul, I only found out at the door. Otherwise, it's a well equipped gym just like the other sites and multi-gym access is great.
Negative experience: I went to the gym group Kelham Island this afternoon, Sunday 9th June and it was closed. I was so surprised since it shouldn't be closed on Sunday. A paper was attached on the front door mentioned that the gym is going to be closed for refresh and members are invited to the gym group the Moor, etc. Unfortunately, there was no information regarding the closing.

Negative experience: Terrible gym. Small and always overcrowded. I used to come because it was cheap. Came in today, my code wasn't working, two members of staff came to the door and said they couldn't help because the manager isn't in. I could call head office in the morning. Pitiful service. No doubt I'll get a parking fine cause I couldn't get in to use the machines to register my car. Shambles, stay away.

Negative experience: Moved up here recently paid for 3 months and had no communication from staff I emailed them explaining water machine that I pay 4 quid a month for is broken they said its reported... I've then contacted gym group email and had no reply I'm paying for something that's broken and no refund or help!!! Very bad company

Positive experience: I moved here because the location was more convenient. However there are a few cons that really could do with some improvement The air con needs turning up higher. It's getting warmer now outside and will get hotter in the summer months, I dread to think what it will be like then because it's already getting quite uncomfortable to work out in. There needs to be more Squat racks. 2 isn't enough. Always have to wait a while for one to become available. Also the free weights section could be bigger, it always feels so cramped and full of people, it makes it more intimdating to be a woman in there when we are all forced to be so packed together. Maybe less space could be used for the cardio machines as that area is never anywhere near full. The vending machine drinks are often lukewarm.

Fantastic experience: An amazing gym! I’ve been trying to gain weight for the last year and never got anywhere. But, I’ve been going here for the past 16 weeks training with my pt Sam, who has helped me get into shape for my wedding. I’ve gained 10KG and never felt better. The staff are amazing, they’re always helping you out and are very chatty. So if you’re wanting to start somewhere, this is the gym for you. I’m on the ultimate membership, which gets you free classes and discounts on clothing, food and accessories among other things.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant gym and staff. I’d like to see more PT’s step in when novice trainers are getting it very wrong.
Positive experience: Convenient gym with a good variety of equipment for both cardio and weights workouts. Can get extremely busy during peak times especially when there is a class on (which takes up half of the studio space). As a result, space is at a premium, which can make working out frustrating and time consuming. Frequently at least one piece of equipment is broken or missing parts. There have also been long term issues with the air conditioning units, which make working out in warmer weather uncomfortable. Staff are generally friendly although one member of staff can be 'over-friendly' with female members. I think with an increased footprint and better maintenance this could be a good gym, however after being a long-term member, I am considering moving elsewhere. Despite the convenience, other equally local gyms i.e. Ponds Forge offer a better class selection, a pool and a quieter, more reliable experience at a similar price point. In the past, The Gym was a much cheaper option, however increasingly their prices are not competitive (particularly if only using one branch). UPDATE: Much better after refurbishment with greater use of footprint. Lots more equipment and doesn't feel half as crowded. I miss the window view personally, but understand the panelling for privacy.

Positive experience: Pros: - Good location - Offers student membership - Recently added useful additions (third step machine, organisation tools for mats and weights) Cons: - Small free weights area that overfills easily and on top of this, staff blocks off half of this area for classes with 2 people -_- This happens regularly and the rest of us have to use the area within uncomfortable distance from each other - There are a bunch useless cardio machines that do not get used enough to justify their number (e.g. eliptical cross-trainers) and only three step machines (with the third one only recently added) - Equipment and area is dirty and they removed the one antibacterial spray that was left for members to use since COVID. If you're not going to clean, at least let me do it myself for the equipment I use. It's disgusting. - Not ventilated adequalely to the point where it becomes hard to breathe due to condensation on cold days - Only two squat racks in the whole gym ⁉️ Come on
Hi, hope you are well. Robust cleaning and sanitising regimes are still in place and we continue to pump in 100% fresh air ventilation, day and night, we clean on a daily basis, including cleaning of all equipment and gym facilities with anti-viral products. We are now going to start reducing the number of cleaning stations through the gym whilst still providing cleaning materials for those members who desire them to clean down kit.
Negative experience: Swapped to this gym as my old one was at the other side of Sheffield when we moved. The gym itself is a really good location and the staff were friendly. It was all a bit outdated though so didn't feel as though I was paying for the best equipment. All of the classes offered seemed to be aimed towards strength/conditioning rather than general fitness which is what's ultimately caused me to go back to my old gym. The idea of going to an outdated gym to try and motivate yourself for a couple of hours was hard to picture, so I left! I think they need to look at their classes offering and try and make it more inclusive of fitness goals and styles, personally.

Negative experience: So much equipment in one space feels a bit cramped but also not enough barbell weights, everyone is always walking around looking for them. Only 2 squat racks? Not ideal. a lot of equipment is old/outdated and even visibly rusty, it really needs to be refurbishing. It will do if you only go sporadically, but definitely not as good as other gym group places considering they’re all the same price.

Fantastic experience: What can I say? It's an excellent gym that's reasonably priced, with loads of great quality equipment, options to attend group classes for free which is there almost everyday. The option to visit any gym of the group across the country makes it even better!

Negative experience: This is the worst gym ever in sheffield. The machines are old, and sometimes they are broken, and they fix them after one month, and the price for this gym is bad its expensive for a bad gym like this. I could get a better gym for cheaper. I don't recommend this gym you can get a better one

Negative experience: I obtained a membership,drove there once, and unexpectedly received a £100 parking fine. It's supposed to be free parking, and this situation has left me perplexed. I seek clarification and a resolution from your end.

Negative experience: Bought a membership, been at the gym once and I got a £100 fine for parking. Nobody notified me that we have to pay for gym car park, you should include that information in the email or on the app. Cancelled my membership and I’ll never come back there.

The parking regulations would be highlighted on your member's area, such as the maximum time and in the branch if they require you to input your car registration on each visit. If you have been issued a parking fine and are not in breach of the parking regulations, you will need to contact the parking company directly to appeal this fine. The parking instructions for your branch are highlighted on the branch page, and also located in the manage parking section of the member's area when you log in. You will be able to access your gym usage information via the member's area to supply evidence for the appeal. Simply head to the My Gym tab and select My Gym usage. There you will see a graph for the current month which you can change, and at the bottom of the page, you will find a table with a complete view of the specific date and times of your visits.
Negative experience: You should have updated your festive opening hours, Here online as well. I drove for 15 minutes saw your opening hours stickers on entrance.

Negative experience: A member of the gym on the moor had to go due it being closed. Awful layout. Cable machines were dirty, hadn’t been cleaned or oiled. PTS were just sat on their phones. Only good thing about it was the seated leg curl.

Negative experience: I was a loyal gym group member moving towns and bringing my membership to this gym. Unfortunately this is a very busy gym, it can get really crammed, no aircon makes it even worse in hot days! Rude staff (Mike) unprofessional during class, ignores participants and focuses on the 2 girls he knows on Facebook. Classes tend to be repetitive and lack intensity even the hiit class... Poorly cleaned gym floor, black free weights area often has a very dusty dirty floor. Equipment is often used and not returned. Foam rollers all broken noticed people using it incorrectly for heavy hip thrusts, told staff about it over 2 months ago and again 3 weeks ago - staff don't seem to care to educate /replace broken equipment. Growing frustrated with this gym, not planning to stay.

Negative experience: This gym is fine, normal cheap gym. The major major downside is the parking. You have to register your number plate each time you go. If you forget once... instant fine for 6 month's membership. The parking company chases you aggressively with threats of bailiffs if you don't pay quickly. The gym keeps a record of when you've been - why can't the parking company just get access to that? Absurd setup.

Positive experience: Great gym, lovely staff and good equipment. Only thing, please get the sink taps in the ladies fixed, water comes out boiling and there's no way to get it cold, not what you want after a work out.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for the last 4 years and finds it suits my needs. There is a good selection of equipment including cardio, machine weights and free weights as well as a TRX, bands, steps, boxes etc. Over time I have worked with some personal trainers and learnt about training with free weights, kettlebells and HITT. Overall it’s a friendly atmosphere and staff are approachable and most members too. I’ve been to other gyms like Nuffield and virgin many years ago and they were triple the price. Without a doubt it’s nice to have a cafe and swimming poor but you pay for that. The gym is good value and open 24hrs a day.

Fantastic experience: Used Dave Pearson as a personal trainer on and off for years. Very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing. Highly recommended and he was very thoughtful for what to have me doing knowing I suffer from arthritis in my feet.
