Positive experience: It's a fairly generic PureGym. The staff are helpful and friendly, it just lacks any more specialised equipment but at £15/month off peak it's pretty good. Member discipline regarding replacing weights and leaving empty drinks cans laying around is poor, but that's not exactly easy to enforce unfortunately.

Positive experience: Good variety of machines/equipment and generally never busy enough that you can’t get on anything. Super friendly environment and lovely staff. Changing rooms are always really clean. Only downsides; there isn’t anything to clean down equipment when you’re done (?) and people don’t seem to tidy away their weights/equipment when they’re done which I haven’t really experienced in other gyms, just a bit annoying/inconsiderate more than anything else

Negative experience: OK puregym, here’s the challenge. You don’t have a fast enough customer service system for when things go wrong. I was told that the Ashford location that my membership expires at the end of the expiration date and then I show up at the location and it won’t let me in. The person working was unwilling to assist me and honor what Ashford said. The staff have no additional solutions to provide temporary codes for situations that go sideways so if you’re screwed, you’re screwed I’ve been very disappointed with the way that this business is run. It’s a business model that can work, but the culture doesn’t support making the right decision in times of confusion and for that reason alone I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience at Pure Gym Broadstairs Westwood Cross, and it's been a key part of helping me achieve my fitness goals. Dealing with PTSD and MADD has often made me feel withdrawn and anti-social, but this gym has provided a space where I can focus on myself without distractions. I’ve always believed that it’s best to mind your own business, and here, I’ve been able to do just that. Some may think that I come off as distant or too good to socialize, but that’s never my intention. That said, I've met a couple of good young G's—by that, I mean some genuinely Good Young Gentlemen with humble, strong characters who are focused on bettering themselves. They’re like-minded individuals who, like me, focus on their own journey without worrying about others, which is a rare quality in any gym. These people have made the experience even better, and I’m glad to keep in touch with them. The atmosphere at Pure Gym allows you to be yourself, work hard, and strive for more. I look forward to returning and pushing myself even further in the future. Highly recommend this gym if you're serious about your goals and prefer to focus on your own progress.

Positive experience: No bike parking. Water fountain downstairs broken a month. Mics in the spin classes maxed out so the instructor is shouting across the whole gym (repeat occurrence). Otherwise decent few weights kit much as any pure gym. Not many resistance bands.

Negative experience: It's getting worse. Cleanliness of changing rooms and toilets are grim. Showers smell like mould and I would question whether the equipment is cleaned regularly. Really shame

Negative experience: Deliberated between two and three stars, but decided on two owing to other reviews where people have had similar experiences (so it's not just me). The gym itself is pretty good; spacious, a good range of equipment, allows for a workout. But... How people think it's ok to vape in a gym, and how it can go unchallenged by staff, is beyond me. Then there was another douche walking around who absolutely reeked of cannabis. Pretty sure his rucksack was full of it. That's the trouble with a lot of 24-hour chain gyms; they go virtually unchecked, and attract the sort of people who have no idea how to behave in society, let alone in a gym.

Fantastic experience: Extremely comfortable, clean & well equipped gym. Friendly, helpful staff and Personal Trainers. Classes that are of high value, suitable for varied fitness levels conducted superbly by Trainers.

Fantastic experience: Such a good gym. I always go early in morning as in the evening can get very busy. However the cleaner there has her work cut out. As all the little young lads can't find the bin, and leave all the mess for the cleaner. Really good value for money

Positive experience: Fantastic gym. Nice atmosphere and not too bright in the lighting which is nice for people with ASD. Shame it's getting so busy though. Lots of young "lads" go in groups of 3, 4, 5 and all take turns on machines. So peak times are impossible. If you can go off-peak times then it's well worth the price.

Positive experience: I usually love puregym, I travel a lot so it's nice to have a gym within a car's drive at most destinations. I was quite excited to see a home gym in my home town as it means I can go when I visit my family but it's definitely not to the standard I expect from other Puregyms. Came Sunday night (tonight), changing rooms disgusting with old wrappers, bottles and food just left everywhere around and kids blowing plumes of vape in your face. Thought it was just the changing rooms but nope, packets of food and crushed cans laying around on the gym floor as well. Plus, the amount of people taking topless pictures in front of the mirror, like really? But hey ho, it's a gym, it has everything I need to work out so it functions how it's supposed, hence the mediocre score.

Fantastic experience: PureGym has everything you need to establish a healthy lifestyle. So far I’ve managed train completely hassle free, always finding space to follow my routine and make good progress. Gimmick free it’s exactly as described PureGym.

Negative experience: Cons: No staff. The situation with teenagers is getting out of control. There is chaos in male wardrobe area, walls are being broken, there is blood on the floor after fights, cabinets are being broken out. Pros: Amazing variety of exercise equipment. Sufficient number of dumbbells and benches. There is a lot of free space and exercise equipment is located at a convenient distance from each other.

Positive experience: I've just started using the gym and found there was a good variety of equipment. Nice changing rooms, bring your own locker padlock. However, there were no wipes or anyone on hand routinely sanitising the equipment.

Fantastic experience: Simple, easy to use and always open. It's definitely a young gym which helps with motivation. At first I felt a little self conscious but after 10 minutes you can see nobody cares. The odd weight doesn't get put back but that's to be expected as it's busy, but that's a good thing in my book..Simple pricing, what's not to like? App is good too, I follow the workout plans and the video guides are easy to follow.

Positive experience: Good gym, go 5 times a week so works out about 75 pence a day! Can't go wrong. I go at 6am so not too busy and always get on the equipment but could be a wait at peak times though when really busy!

Be warned mid afternoon it is absolutely rammed with kids it's like Hogwarts, and they all hang out in the changing rooms after their 'workouts' which is odd and a bit of a nuisance.

Positive experience: Got everything I need to workout after not being in the gym for almost a year. My only issue is the age of some of the people in there, surely a lot are under age and either faking their DOB or they are using someone else’s pass code to get in as it is very easy to gain entrance to the gym No issues with cleanliness at all, gym area and changing rooms are always clean when I’ve visited

Negative experience: The place is great but in the afternoon it's overbooked with teenagers that go there to socialise and play... There's no control or rules. Everything is a mess and the showers really dirty. Also, in the website they advertise that they provide with 'sports water' but paying a supplement you can have unlimited refills....it's not true. You can have it ONLY if you pay extra... Not happy overall...

Negative experience: Giving this rating as there is nothing to wipe down machines or sanitise, On another occasion I went I don’t believe a lot of the members are over 18, this was on a Wednesday evening around 6pm many looked and acted a lot younger hanging around in large groups. Finally there was a male operative in the female changing area with no sign to warn you.

Negative experience: Revised my review down from 3 to 2 star. Good size and plenty of kit. Three stars because the place hasn’t been cleaned since it opened and no wipes to clear equipment down after use. It’s also like a crèche most times with feral teenagers running around, pretending to train in large groups. No rules and no one to enforce proper behaviour or gym etiquette. The place is also continuously dirty and is not regularly cleaned. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Decent equipment, loads of space to do your own thing, plenty of staff on hand if you need help or advice and not rude either and say hello, showers are nice, looking forward to spending a lot of time here. And its CHEAP for the first year.
