Fantastic experience: Hosted a soft play birthday party and everything ran just nicely from booking to execution

Positive experience: Only used the gym and it's got positives and negatives. Getting in and out with the band can be a pain and finding a locker that works is just a guessing game. The equipment in the gym is great; clean, modern, works well. The issue is actually getting to use it as the gym is pretty small and usually busy. If you're wanting a treadmill then you'll be fine, but otherwise you might have a wait on your hands. The gym is also lacking in equipment I think. Only one of each weight machine (hence the waiting) and some missing (prone leg curl, seated calf raise, hip thrust to name a few). I appreciate most exercises can be done with free weights or cables but it's nice to have a choice of a machine and they're often more stable. Again, there's only two cable machines and 1 smith machine so even if you're attempting these exercises in a different manner you may have to wait. Sounds like a lot of negatives but it is a nice gym in a decent location with nice staff. Thr modern equipment they do have is really nice.

Fantastic experience: Lovely Karen at the front desk and the nice lad Adam the PT went the extra mile for me and my 11 year old niece this saturday to get us started at the gym during a busy time and it was just fantastic customer service. Thank you so much :)

Fantastic experience: For the second time I have came to Ponteland leisure centre on carer duties and we have been assisted by Darren at the front desk, what a kind, helpful, patient and understanding employee! So clear at explaining all of the membership differences and options. Such a lovely place and environment.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff. Always quiet with people willing to work in with you in the gym. Facilities are always clean. More than satisfied although the water fountains are a tad slow. The machines are really new and all Technogym so connect to your phone.

Negative experience: Really disappointed in the facilities for older kids. Under 6/7s are catered for amazingly. There is nothing that older kids can do at all.

Positive experience: The sports bar/cafe is closed by 19:20, if not earlier, on a Friday evening.

Negative experience: To whoever finds it amusing pinching wash bags from the men’s changing room, I’m glad you finally got yourself a decent aftershave you utter tramp.

Positive experience: Spa is solid however they need to tighten their etiquette to attract better clientele. People using their mobile phones in spas defeats the purpose of switching off and relaxation. It’s uncouth and basic and is never allowed in real spas. It’s also a safety issue for women. Leave your phone in your locker!

Fantastic experience: Ponteland Leisure Centre's mint for bairns! Took me two-year-old for a swim and we had a class time. They've got loads of facilities like the gym, pools, and a soft play area (can get busy).

Positive experience: Weird that there is only one narrow swim lane on Saturday morning. Otherwise great.

Positive experience: The pool is nice and clean. Good for kids as they have play part and little pool. The play area has a hard surface to prevent slipping but you slip anyway and hurt your knees. The softplay is dirty and very dusty. I think that they need to do a massive clean up. I would also bring your own food and the food is not the best.

Negative experience: Joined 3 days ago and wish I hadn't. Never any working lockers meaning you have to take all valuables into the gym and spa with you. Never any wifi working and no phone signal.save money and join a proper gym that have the simple basics.

Positive experience: Great but never book a lane swim when the triathletes are training in the rest of the pool, errr lol.

Negative experience: Terrible unhelpful staff but great food, they stole my friends money out of the vending machine wasted 4 pounds on that and we saw lots more money in there a money eater 1 pound

Negative experience: Last week, an unfortunate incident occurred within the premises of Ponteland Leisure Club, specifically in the soft play area. To our profound dismay, our child's hand, more precisely, a lone finger, became stuck between the slide's edge and the netting arround its sides. The alarming predicament unfolded with our little one precariously dangling by their solitary finger. Such a grievous lapse in design, permitting hazardous gaps alongside the slide, is inexcusable. It is imperative that slides exhibit smooth, rounded edges to preclude any potential injuries. Regrettably, our trust in the safety and quality of the play area within this facility has been irrevocably shattered. We ardently implore all parents to exercise extreme vigilance when considering the utilization of the soft play area.

Fantastic experience: Excellent place to enjoy with your grandchildren. They are active you are relaxed.

Negative experience: I unfortunately will not be renewing my membership. I find the membership very pricey for what you get. It is inconvenient to have to book in for fitness classes, swimming and even to use the gym. I have only been able to attend a handful of classes in 6 months because they are always fully booked two weeks in advance. The classes I have attended are also very crowded. I think this leisure centre could afford to hold more classes to accommodate everyone considering the price they are charging. It is also very difficult to enjoy a peaceful swim. The pool is used very often by large numbers of children from Ponteland School. These classes run late into the evening. Children are still running around at 7.30pm. Regularly, only one lane is left open for swimmers whilst the rest of the pool is a free for all: children and families jumping in or running around the pool splashing people who are squashed into one lane trying to swim. Swimming times and lanes should be spread equally between families, children and adults and health and safety should be monitored more closely. Most staff on reception and around the pool are rude and unhelpful when you raise issues with them. It is a shame as the facilities themselves are of a good quality.

Fantastic experience: I've never expected the place yo be so big and it comprises and holds all kinds of sports activities gor all age groups. Very clean and tidy. The bar on the top was a on top notch and the view was really amazing.

Fantastic experience: Ponteland Leisure centre is lovely modern building, always clean. Soft play is easily booked on the Northumberland active app, reasonably priced, good size for children aged 10 and under. There is a small cafe next to the soft play for tea and coffee and food. Also toilets next to soft play. It is limited numbers at one time so never seems too busy and able to get a table easily enough. There is also a clip and climb next to the soft play but it is not always open. The swimming pool is small there is two pools, a lane swimming pool, and a splash area/small pool. The changing rooms are always clean and able to get a locker. The smaller pool is warm and all one level that is good for small children (my 7 year old can stand all over in it) there is also a small play piece with a slide and fountains/splash area. This is good for small children. There is also a library on site with seating and another small cafe next to it. I like how all the amenities are in one building so can do more than one and make a day out of it. There is also a park outside so on a nice day can include this in your day. There is a gym there however I have not used this. Can always get a parking space with no issues. Great place!

Positive experience: Our children have attended Learn to Swim lessons here for three months and previously at Prudhoe. It’s critical to find a good instructor; some are excellent, others not.

Fantastic experience: Took great granddaughter to Ponteland leisure this morning and it was a great place. The baby pool is perfect for young learners and the slide is great fun There's a cafe serving drinks and snacks and a smashing viewing area.

Fantastic experience: Took my granddaughter to soft play today. Soft play excellent, clean and well thought out. Staff were pleasant, and friendly throughout, both at reception and drinks kiosk. Toilets and baby change clean and well presented. Well done

Negative experience: Facilities are amazing but anything membership related is a complete pain and very disorganized - each member gets a membership number you don't receive it, the app does not give you any information about membership, can't get through on the phone and most of the staff at the centre are not very helpful

Positive experience: Gym user, the facilities are good and aslong as you don't go in peak times you can pretty much get on everything. Staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. The gym is also kept really clean too.

Positive experience: Great little pool for little ones. its shallow, but a 4 year old can stand up in any part of it. IT is well used and a bit small. but thats find for the little ones. Slightly older kids, who can swim and want to dive, its a bit small for them. There is a bigger pool, but when I was there it was reserved for people in the fast and slow lanes. Seemed like people in the CULT OF DAILY SWIMMING as they all had nice swimmers arms. nice enough place tho. The lockers are a bit weird to get used to, you get a card, and you have to hold the card against the white button as you press to lock it. but some of the lockers dont work. so check it first. The softplay is good, and all of the kids liked it, again its well used. The click and climb was closed when we were there so cant comment on that. Parking is free, there is a cafe with helpful polite staff, the sandwiches didnt tickle anyones fancy. So, we just ate crisps and cakes.

Fantastic experience: decided to visit Ponteland Leisure Centre after good recommendations from ladies in Cramlington Leisure. Must say it was nice, we visited the pool on Easter Sunday, it was nice not to be overcrowded it needs to be pre-booked, prices are very good! Kids enjoyed the pool so much, there’s pool for kids with water playground by, and there’s swim for all which goes from 1.11m to 1.8m. Would like to come back to check spa place!

Fantastic experience: The new building, located in on the high school grounds is truly amazing with equally brilliant facilities to meet the needs of all. It is extremely modern, clean and caters well to the public. We also found the facilities to have a lovely, friendly and welcoming atmosphere too. Staff are helpful, polite and very informative.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant place. Our kids enjoyed the soft play, the coffee was nice, and lunch was great at the cafe. The tuna sandwich was great. Its really clean and tidy and the staff were fantastic.

Positive experience: Yes. Since new company took over. My grandson went from 84% to zero. Started from there and now he had been at 97% for weeks in level 7/8. He can not complete level as Prudhoe swimming lessons are taking place for level 2/3 and floor of pool raised to 1m. Not good

Positive experience: Lovely new development with a great range of activities for all ages. The only down fall for me was the saunas were on a different level from the swimming pool which I find very odd surely it makes more sense to get easier access to sauna after a swim without having to get changed again. As you need to go back out into the public area and up two floors. Also there are no hairdryers in the spa changing rooms they only have them in the changing rooms down at the pool. Maybe this is an oversight.

Negative experience: Me and my family booked swimming and after a 45 minute drive we couldn't go in as there was a swimming lesson happening. Also the food in the cafe is terrible. Wouldn't suggest going there

Negative experience: It would be 5 # but the black effigy on the right of the check in machines is not acceptable and a total misrepresentation of the demographics (87/13%) this is ENGLAND not AFRICA-typical WOKE Rubbish Unfortunately upper management are culling centre management jobs and this has had a knock on effect -some excellent established staff are resigning as are contractor Fitness Class instructors -so the place could be nothing more than an empty shell devoid of any enthusiasm -caused as usual by target driven upper management

Fantastic experience: Please be aware the main pool rises for swimming lessons. After seeing my child in deep end during lessons. We went for a normal session and almost drown.
