Fantastic experience: I love this gym. I've been going there for 2 years. Guys, but it's time to repair this exercise machine in the photo! And in general, please try to repair exercise machines as quickly as possible, because there is a very high demand for them and people pay money for it! Well, in other respects, you are super!

Fantastic experience: First of all I would like to give a big shout out to MICHEAL THE (cleaner) he is the best cleaner out of all of gyms and actually puts his hard effort into cleaning the changing rooms properly and getting to every spot unlike every other cleaner. So if the boss sees this he definitely deserves something and I’m one fussy person when it comes to cleaning. Best jd gym over all good weights good machines 100% just would be better if the changing rooms were open till 12 am and sauna open later over all good gym and other staff are great and polite but michal tops it off

Negative experience: Gym is good but car park is a rip off, have to watch your time or you get fined,

Negative experience: Good gym, friendly staff. If your disabled then its not for you as the lift has been broken for months and disabled spaces are constantly took by anyone.

Positive experience: Great if you get there off-peak, but when it's busy you're going to struggle to get your full workout in, plus stretches, a sauna and shower/changing time within the 3 hour car park limit. Car park is run by one of those scumbag private firms who charge £100 if you go 1 minute over the time.

Negative experience: Changing rooms don't open until 6, come in before then there is piles of bags lying around. Quite a posey gym, people taking pictures in sauna, changing room, weight area. Also can literally feel everything on the floor from the treadmills and weights. Also don't like that it's one time entry, left my ring in the changing room and couldn't get back in. Left pure gym to come get as was attracted to the sauna and 24 hour, but going to leave after my month is up.

Positive experience: Overall, the gym is good. Has great equipment and helpful staff. However, it’s SO busy a lot of the time. Would be good to have a feature added to the app to tell you how many people are in the gym, then you could plan your workouts for quieter times. Additionally, they really need to do something about the entitled members parking in disabled spaces. Usually all the disabled spaces are taken when I visit, and I’ve yet to see even one disabled badge. It’s really awful and I wish the gym would take action on those doing this.

Positive experience: I have a question why are the locker rooms closed?? Today I was there after 8 p.m. And is it closed? Why.

Negative experience: As a member of JD gyms South for over a year and attending the classes and the machines 4 times a week, I was so excited to hear that there was a JD to where my new home is! Buzzing! Turned up for spin. Cancelled. Fair enough it happens. Turned up the next day. Spin cancelled. Been to Coatbridge gym 9 times now in 3 weeks and only one spin class has been on. The WiFi is awful or non existent too, so if you don't mind working out to bad dance music then this gym is suitable. I had a call with the manager Lyndsay last night and she apologised for the classes being cancelled but it was due to the Easter holidays and they were now all sorted following the holidays. Absolutely buzzing to go back to spin this morning, Turned up and mark has cancelled AGAIN. Lyndsay also told me to change my home gym on the app to get regular updates (note - you cannot do this on the app and has to be requested via the website) and she told me to "forget" the WiFi and rejoin. Done it 4 times this morning and still doesn't work

Fantastic experience: Great value for money.Neat and clean 24hr access is a big advantage

Fantastic experience: JD gyms is the best place to train and meet new people and have the best staff if you want to have a personal trainer

Negative experience: I loved going here with my son Jack, however they left him unsupervised and a weight slammed on his face he's a silly goose

Negative experience: There are some great things about this gym. It's quite modern, it's really well set up and the price is really reasonable. The big downsides for me are that it's generally so busy, I can't actually workout and I don't have a job where I can be as flexible as I want. And due to the business of this gym it would also be great if there we cleaning stations so that members can spray down the cardio machines especially. I know there are staff members that clean, but they can't be expected to clean them every time a customer has used it and left sweat all over. Using a towel also wouldn't be efficient. Obviously apart from accepting less members I'm not sure what can be done about this and they're a business so why would they accept less people. So, unfortunately my only option was to leave.

Fantastic experience: Only criticism is being restricted to use qr code to access facilities once per day. I left my fitbit in the car on an occasion and couldn't go back to get it as I then wouldn't get access. I would consider going to morning classes and an evening yoga session, however current restrictions would not allow this. Also would prefer if toilets and changing facilities opened earlier than 6am to allow access to store bags or get changed.

Fantastic experience: Well kitted out gym. Can be busy after school time until about 1700hrs. Sauna is a good size.

Negative experience: Who is the 3rd world drill/rap music impressing? If you like it and smelly teenagers, then this is the gym for you

Negative experience: Absolute joke stopped going there 2 months ago because gym was packing all the time and they still took money out my account for the 2 months I wasn't there terrible gym they also put me in a contract knowing I'm underage place is a circus

Positive experience: Decent enough gym , however,not enough different attachments for machine,also ,the reason people get bored of any Gym is that they never replace or renew equipment

Negative experience: Absolutely wouldn’t not recommend going to Coatbridge one , not after bad experience with one the trainers Lara Jade Conlon which I left nearly 7 weeks ago and still spreading lies about me it’s like being back high school totally unprofessional! And the lengths going to absolutely disgusting behaviour and has the cheek to say she couldn’t go to work as i was intimidating her is extremely laughable as I’m only going to gym as I am paying for a service so was using the service ! Not to intimidate no one ! Just because I’m no longer a client doesn’t mean I should be made to feel like I can’t continue to use the gym !

Positive experience: Gym equipment is top of the range. However, they had about 2 or 3 cable machines out of use for several weeks. A company the size of jd should have these fixed within days. No machinery or equipment should be unable to be used for any extended period of time. If the services get reduced due to faulty or broken equipment, then this should be reflected in the membership payment. I appreciate that it is a gym and body odours, and other foul smells are to be expected, but the smell in the male changing room and showers is forever present. The shower area cleanliness needs to improve, I've never seen the floor to be clean since I've joined when it opened.

Negative experience: Had there been a 0 rating, I’d have left a 0. Visited the gym today. Then tried to sign up online as the website states you can. Couldn’t complete the sign up process therefore I couldn’t train tonight with my partner as planned. However this gym was quick enough to take cash from my bank! If the sign up process isn’t complete, why are you taking cash from peoples accounts?? Have since been informed the refund will come to my account a few days later. The process should be that payments are taken, once the sign up process is fully complete. I will be reporting this to the FSA. Fantastic example of customer service before even training here! Called to ask for advice and not even offered to Come to the gym tonight as a way of softening the blow……..despite the lady being able to see my payment had been taken and the call being made at 9pm- 1 hour before the staff leave. Disappointing to say the least

Negative experience: Not impressed at all. Gym is allegedly 24/7 but there is no access to changing rooms before 6 on weekdays and 8 on weekends. Equipment is OK but needs more cardio machines, and the roof leaks. Not for me

Fantastic experience: A quick visit while visiting a friend in Coatbridge: great gym, plenty of space, loads of machines and free weights (dumbbells up to 50 kg), loads of benches, good sauna, helpful staff

Positive experience: Great gym with good quality equipment, great staff, clean and very spacious 1 recomandation for management if is possible Cleaning stations with desinfectant spray and tissues will be very effective, more hygienic and make us (customers) more happy and confident to use equipment after other person use it and sweat it. Fantastic experience: Very big, so so many station to do your work out... I would suggest to add attendance in you app to check your workout duration automatically and see if there is crowded or not, so one can plan training...

Negative experience: Hygiene issues in the male showers and sauna, probably due to only having one male cleaner who works nights, so if you go through the day expect the smell of rotten eggs ,also they don't mind people recording in the changing room as long as you are mindful.

Negative experience: Went for a day pass to give it a trial. I had a few workouts and decided to call it quits. There was nothing to clean down the machines. I’ve been encouraged since gym going to wipe down the machines after each use, I didn’t see a paper towel dispenser or spray bottle anywhere. Furthermore, the plates were absolutely everywhere. There was very little organisation. I suppose I can’t blame the gym itself for that, but I think it’s basic etiquette to put equipment away after it’s used.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, amazing price. Relaxing sauna and well kept workout area. Always tidy and fresh with really friendly and energetic staff.

Fantastic experience: Being training at Extreme Gym for over 10 years I have to say JD gym is now my favourite secomd gym. Equipment twise it's great. Only downside is are people who don't know gym etiquette and leave there weights behind! Not the gyms fault! Just a couple of more back and legs machine in this would be epic! For what you pay this is spot on!

Fantastic experience: Pros; Good looking gym with a nice atmosphere. Machines and weights are of good quality. Cons; OPENING TIMES. Opens far too late, especially at the weekend. Not asking for 24hrs like Polmadie but could be improved. The app for entry/exit is a little bit iffy. UPDATED. JD gyms Coatbridge is now 24hrs so, have updated from a 4 star to a 5 star ⭐. Thanks for listening and thanks hard work put in by the JD team. Good job

Negative experience: great gym, great classes and great members however the severe lack of wifi connection when entering the building which delays or doesn’t allow the QR code from the app to load is beginning to become rather offputting. every time i enter i am left waiting a good 5/10 mins along with numerous other members to access entry. most gyms have key fobs or finger print scanners which are much easier to use.

Negative experience: Just been for another so-called work out and yet again the gym was absolutely rammed with teenagers in groups of 3-4 all hogging machines for up to 40 minutes could not get half a workout done this gym started with good potential but will be considering going elsewhere

Positive experience: Great new gym, with new equipment my only issue is that there aren’t many warm up / cool down spaces in the main gym. You can use the studio but it depends if it’s free with no classes on. Very busy from 5pm.

Positive experience: Great gym only issues I have is WiFi could be better, dumbells not being put back in correct place and weights not being unloaded. No fault to the staff there they do an excellent job but made more difficult by some members.

Positive experience: Hi , just joined 1 week ago and first negative thing that I noticed is the lack of internet .Every day I spent 1 hour trying to connect to that Wi-Fi network and after that the speed is 0 , can’t listen a song… The phone signal is 0 inside and won’t let me to use my data and ur Wi-Fi doesn’t work makes me to cancel my subscription.

Fantastic experience: First morning in the gym, stunning space, vast amount of equipment and very friendly staff. WE'LL DONE JD!!

Negative experience: It was an amazing gym when it first opened up but now it's far too overcrowded, too many young crowds :( Also the changing rooms are often packed due to the saunas. If you want a quiet work out this is definitely NOT the place to be.

Fantastic experience: WHAT AN EXCELLENT GYM! Really friendly staff showed me around the gym, it’s incredible! There’s a massive cardio area full of things like treadmills, bikes and rowing machines. Then there’s a huge Eleiko rig if you like weightlifting or functional training. That free weights area is massive, and I’m pretty sure you won’t be waiting around for things like benches and dumbbells etc. To top it all off, they also have a cool blue Spin studio (with awesome looking lights) and the main exercise studio is for the main classes, like Burn, Step and Combat. Even the changing rooms are nice, they also have saunas in them! But I think the best thing about this place is the atmosphere; all the members are smiling, having a laugh and it’s a fun atmosphere to train in. It’s definitely not intimidating in the slightest. For the price you’re paying, this is easily the best deal in Coatbridge!
