Cleethorpes Leisure Centre (Lincs Inspire)

Fantastic experience: I have a family membership, and when we go swimming and we come across the chap on the front desk, he’s always really helpful and polite and thorough, and he does it with a smile on his face, what a great guy to have on reception, I rarely review anything but feel I needed to so look after this guy as these type of people are rare to come by

Negative experience: Weight room needs more options but stuff is good

Fantastic experience: Wave pool, slide and baby pool. Good family day out. Parking in the council carpark can be claimed back against the entry price.

Negative experience: Quite shocked about today's experience at Cleethorpes swimming pool, never had a problem before but today I noticed a bit of commotion at the side of the pool with a child crying and the lifeguards helping a grown up, it turns out a child had been sick in their floating swim seat. We left as soon as I realised and I questioned the lifeguard to ask if they normally stay open if people are sick in the pool, she said no but this was contained within the floating seat, I think this is highly unlikely as the seat had holes in it for the child's legs. I mean I could be way off and it could have been completely sealed but I don't imagine that was the case and it concerns me slightly if this is normal practice as everywhere else I've been if anyone was ever sick the pool was instantly emptied of people, I'm now just hoping we don't get poorly following this visit

Fantastic experience: Went today for the inflatable session,with 13yr old n a 10yr old.was very organised session and staff from the front desk to the lifeguards were very pleasant .pool was lovely ,changing rooms clean and spacious,the kids had a great time on the inflatable assault course,the water slide and also caught the waves.all in all brilliant fun.big thank you to lifeguard josh who was brilliant with the kids .

Positive experience: Upon exploring the neighbouring regions for a suitable beach, I discovered this particular beach. Although Cleethorpes Leisure Centre is not directly on the beach, a charming miniature train provides convenient transportation from the beach to the centre for a reasonable fare of £2 one way. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a picturesque garden featuring a paid swimming pool for children, boating facilities, and tranquil seating areas. A walking trail encircles the area, and a magnificent fountain takes centre stage in the park. Due to our late discovery, we were unable to spend an extended period at this location. In conclusion, this venue offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, providing an ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.

The reception was fantastic the pool was clean and the change rooms were clean which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely worth a visit

Fantastic experience: I work offshore and do not live in Cleethorpes so the chance to get a membership that includes swimming and works around my schedule is great. Friendly staff, the gyms are basic but good enough for my needs. The fitness room has plenty of machines for my cardio work outs. Plus the gym is not full off teenagers,

Fantastic experience: Me and my daughter swim here most weekends. Great fun! Not over crowded as they have limited availability. Great slide for all family to enjoy. Waves are amazing when passed through the pool. Great couple off hours to make memories.

Fantastic experience: Visited the gym. Everything was explained with regards to safety and operation of the equipment. I was made to feel welcome and at ease thanks to the staff.

Positive experience: Good for a little day out. Started to get a bit crowded at one point and we left. Changing room floors are always wet unfortunately, so don't take socks, wear crocs or sliders to go. Water is warm-ish. My nephew was told off for sitting on his mums back while in the water by a life guard (don't really know why) overall it was ok

Positive experience: Went swimming at 7 am, lady got a small nose bleed so she got out of the pool. She left blood on the handrail of the steps getting out of the pool. No attendant cleaned the hand rail with an anti bacterial wipe so I got out by the shallow pool. Anita bacterial wipes should be at each lifeguard stand and used appropriately in these circumstances.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic range of facilities for all the family to enjoy. Pool is great for young children, studio are great and the extra space for functional training useful.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the staff today, for being so helpful with my disabled niece and myself. Taking disabled child swimming is not easy but with their help, it was wonderful time for both of us.

Negative experience: Inspire have unethical policies that aren’t community focused. They only care about money and will use any opportunity to mess up your membership. Cleethorpes swimming changing room and showers leave a lot to be desired.

Positive experience: I visited with an 11 year old and 5 year old. Nice size pool with slide. Lots of changing rooms and lockers. Only issue i had was that I had to pay full price to use around 1/4 of the pool because the rest was taken with swim lanes and swimming lessons. Slide was shut also. I originally asked if it was public swimming and she said yes but slides not on. So I assumed it was just just the slide but when I got inside most of the pool, we could use due to the reason I have just stated. Just thought it was slightly unfair to pay full when I couldn't use full facilities.

Fantastic experience: Very clean (all areas) particularly the bathrooms. Great spot at the end of the promenade (beach) and has parking although this can be very busy at peak times. Use this end of the beach if you want to walk your dogs (dogs are allowed on the beach from here walking South).

Positive experience: Modern building, with swimming pool and other sport activities. Didn't really use the centre, just paid £1.00 to use loo for the day. Bit disappointed when I used the coffee machine, only dispensed half a cup of coffee. Sat at only table to enjoy coffee with hubby, but was crowded out and engulfed by parents, who were dropping their children off for a party. So that was off putting.

Negative experience: I play badminton here. The courts are OK. Very hard . But grippy. The lights from the gym are blinding when trying to play. The lobby is slow entry waiting. The fee to enter after the court cost is ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Very lovely, little seaside town with lot of atrocious and delicious food Perfect for a day on the seaside to relax and enjoy the good weather

And also modern day gym facilities n other sports stuff. .... with welcoming staff on hand for information. Ps they sell swimming gear also!

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool for family fun. The water is warm so brilliant for kids but heavy going if you’re looking to do any length swimming. The wave machine is great fun and the water slide is good too. Lots of availability for families to swim which is refreshing. The changing room is well kept and clean and the prices are reasonable with parking charges refundable. Remember to bring a pound for the lockers.

Fantastic experience: Visited while on a short break here and the boys loved it. We went to the inflatable session and although busy, the boys had a great time.

Negative experience: A decent, normal sized swimming pool with slides and waves.

Positive experience: Great inflatable session with the kids. Hour and a half flew by. As normal there was some drama with some young teenagers (girls and boys) in the pool fighting and insulting each other. Like a soap opera which went on a little long. Lifeguards eventually threw one out.

Positive experience: We visited the pool today with our 4 year old granddaughter, not for the first time and our previous visits have been very good. However, the changing facilities today were dirty and smelled very unpleasant. A shame really as we will think twice about returning.

Positive experience: The pool just seems to get colder each day. Showers run tempremental temperatures, one minute hot, then cold. The changing rooms have not been thought out, because as soon as someone opens the door to enter or exit it's like a wind tunnel blowing cold air through the changing rooms. The actual cubicles are fairly clean, shower area (between the showers each side) could do with a more regular clean, although this is down to selfish people not wearing overshoes and walking dirt through when they take their children to the side for swimming lessons, however monitoring this area could prevent us having to walk through mucky water to leave the shower area. Pay and display parking, although as a member you can get a permanent permit for a one off payment off £2 when join, so saves scrambling round for change all the time

Positive experience: Not too bad. Pool gets full quick so you're often waiting to get in. Changing facilities could do with a revamp.

Positive experience: Been told that the wave machine don't work no more as they have now got bounce castle's in the pool like the Japanese program where you have to make it to the other side without falling in the water

Positive experience: Would've been a 5 star but after queuing for a few mins they changed the entry time to a further 25 minutes due to full capacity. Otherwise waves and water slide were loved by my 5yo.

Negative experience: Unbelievably unprofessional and rude spinning instructor (class 17th Aug, 9:30) who also turned up late and was in no rush to begin the class. I now understand why only 5 people were in attendance. Won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: Nice baths. Slide and wave machine. Inflatables in the afternoon. Cost us around 15 for 1 adult, 2 children and a spectator. £1 needed for locker. Clean toilets within changing area. Parking at the side of the baths around 2 min walk away from the entrance.

Positive experience: Good pool, but the wave machine scares me. Also the Friday party is terrible, I was expecting good music but ok I guess. Would recommend if you like terrible music on Fridays in a pool filled with annoying kids. Good overall :)

Positive experience: It was great to get in the pool, but the different depths made it difficult to know where to go to be able to play safely with our 5 year old non swimmer granddaughter, and meant that our 10year old grandson who swims had to be in a different place. Good to be in the water, but not good for us with two children to entertain.

Positive experience: Good facilities with a wave machine in the swimming pool. Plenty of other activities put on especially during the school breaks for the children to attend at a reasonable price.

Fantastic experience: Had great fun with the family on a Sunday whilst the slide and waves were on. Was a bit worried to go as last time I went a few years ago the water did not feel clean and felt saliney and salty, but was very clean this time. The front staff was helpful and kind, the lifeguards were the usual young lads but didn't feel like I was being judged for having my body on show. All facilities was clean and the floor was regularly kept dried. Very good day out.

Fantastic experience: Daughter loved it. Would definitely come back. Seemed busy from the outside but when you're in it you barely notice. Public swim would recommend coming with kids only, if you're looking for a nice swim, you won't get one. Prices were a little steep so lucky we don't come here all the time. But overall enjoyed.

Fantastic experience: Good leisure centre with plenty of activities to offer. Good timetable for swimming pool works out well for families with children who work during the day and want to go to swimming pool in the evening. Some other places only offer weekend sessions that are children friendly

Positive experience: Back to being busy, was warm and lots of life guards. Changing room floors need more timely checking but they weren't the worst

Positive experience: Fair prices, waves are the reason to visit here regularly, although can be busy most school holidays and end up with shorter swim times due to this. Parking at rear and the leisure centre will refund parking if presented with refund ticket. On occasions the inflatable goes in the deep end, that can be fun for the children although they need to be able to swim to a basic standard due to being in the deep end. Alway's a fun swim and the slide is worth getting on too.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting for many years. Came with sons and 4 grandchildren. Warm welcolm from staff on reception, helpful and friendly. Admission very reasonable. Changing room was clean and warm and family friendly, loads of various size lockers. The water was a lovely temperature, grandchildren loved the waves and slide and reluctant to get out after over one and a half hours. All said it was the best swimming pool ever , we will be back . Ps -free hair dryers a nice touch

Fantastic experience: I swim 3 times a week and the facilities are always clean and the staff friendly.

Positive experience: Whilst the pool area is nice once again a pair of steps are broken and no doubt will be months before they are fixed and the showers are a disgrace half of them don’t work they are mostly cold and a large ceiling tile has been missing for a month now blasting cold air into the shower area will be interesting to see it they are fixed when the pool is closed next week for maintenance.

Positive experience: Gym is ok needs updating. Got the usual gym monkeys in there that think they own the place but we all know they have empty lives with no meaning.

Fantastic experience: I've not been here for many years and I was aware they had refurbished but had yet to see just how much had changed! Very pleased with the changes, the unisex changing room is huge and I think a great step forward! The slide has been redone to be more safe and it looked bigger than it used to be so that's great. The wave machine is still fantastic! Will be revisiting soon.

Fantastic experience: First time here for sauna and steam (Jacuzzi was out of action). Both first class, clean, hot. Very relaxing, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: No booking needed now so we went at a time that suited us. Easy parking, no queues and we were straight in to the spotless changing rooms. It felt a little bit cool in the pool but that was to be expected since we were there to splash about rather than swim. We went on a Thursday morning on a school day so it wasn't too busy for my water-shy toddler. She can't wait to go again.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure pool with wave machine, kid friendly water shoot. Water was nice and warm. Clean changing rooms (although they could have been a bit warmer). Decent music being played too! Good value for family of 5 (under £15).

Positive experience: Visited two days ago, first time in there for over 20 years! It was pleasant enough, but the grand children were disappointed that the wave machine wasn't working and the water slide was closed.

Negative experience: Mental!!! the shallow end was packed, the deep end has no ladder to get in or out with swimming lanes sectioned off in the middle and life guards shouting at people crossing lanes to get to and from the deep end, someone is going to end up with a broken jaw climbing on the sides to get out the deep end as its 4ft higher then the water. Definitely an accident waiting to happen.
