Negative experience: Absolutely no regards for their customers. All nice to you when you sign up, but when something goes wrong they take the mic. Trying for a few days now, 54 min hold time this time, and still not answered…..

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointing Experience at David Lloyd Heston Unfortunately, my experience at this club has been very disappointing. The water in the pool is consistently dirty, with visible debris such as hair, which is completely unacceptable for a facility of this reputation. The customer service is dishonest, and none of my complaints have been handled professionally. During registration, I was given misleading information about freezing my membership and payment methods. After signing up, I discovered that what I was told was entirely false. When I raised the issue, staff asked me not to inform management instead of resolving the problem, showing a clear lack of professionalism. The overall cleanliness of the facilities is poor, and there is evident neglect in addressing members’ concerns. When I raised these issues with management, their response was cold and dismissive, even suggesting canceling my membership instead of fixing the problems. I strongly do not recommend this club and believe it needs significant improvements in cleanliness, customer service, and respect for its members.

Negative experience: I visited this gym in order to enquire about different membership options. Then I was introduced to a sales rep, who welcomed me with very awkward compliments. She showed me around, the area looked big and had amazing sauna and spa facilities. I highlighted that I would be more interested in classes and swimming pool/ sauna. I wish she could provide me more information about the classes, since I highlighted that at the beginning. I would say she didn’t do a great job as a sales rep, even receptionist or cleaning staff could show me exactly the same way as she did. Another reason for my low score- I asked for the different membership packages to be sent to my email- nothing ever was sent to me.

Positive experience: It's a really modern and big facility with everything you would want, staff are really friendly and helpful but going along the centre you can see that maintenance is not kept to the highest standard, for example the inside jacuzzi has plastic fittings broken which are sharp, for the price they are charging maintenance should be checking on all fixtures on a weekly basis, you're charging 4 times more than the average leisure but you're slightly understaffed in key areas and lacking in general maintenance.

Positive experience: I joined David Lloyd Heston club 2 months ago. It was the best decision. I would have given 5 stars easily but... The gym equipment is excellent, clean and there is no 'Sorry out of order' signs. We have plenty of classes to choose from. The staff members are polite, they attend to every members needs. I have had a very good interactions with every staff member. The facilities are generally clean, the changing rooms are getting cleaned every 5 minute. HOWEVER the spa retreat for which you have to pay extra has 'Sorry out of order' signs. The aromatherapy room (fire and ice) has been broken for the past week or so. There is little to none steam and no ice. The steam room is not working at all. There are wet paper tissues on the floor for some reason which makes the place look dirty. I understand that sometimes facilities need repair etc, however if I am paying this amount of money, I expect it to be cleaner. I understand that the club cannot be responsible for people's personal hygiene but it's nothing worse to go to the club's wet areas and see wet tissues on the floor. It is very off putting. I would like to know when the facilities will be fixed. In my opinion it is unacceptable that spa rooms are not working for such a long period of time.

Positive experience: The swimming pool water is too cold children getting cold and cough after swimming lessons. When we joined 2 years back it used to be warm and this was the reason we chose David Lloyd but now think David Lloyd cutting cost and no heating in the pool. My children do not want to go swimming anymore they say the water in the pool is way too cold!

Fantastic experience: Shanyce is a wonderful instructor, she helped me with confidence and being comfortable in gym and helped me with my workout techniques. She is fab instructor I always enjoyed booking pre session with Shanyce.

Negative experience: The plate loaded leg press machine is not working as it should. The mechanism controlling the platform you use to push the weight is heavy and stiff - it’s need a service. It has been like this for atleast 6 months. When you pay a premium for a gym like this, there should not be faulty equipment for this long. Please sort this out asap.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Reception never answers the phone. Waiting more than 40 min to book lesson (because the app doesn’t work) and still no answer. When you go in though, you can see them chatting about. However, the sales team is the first to answer to get you a membership. After that, they don’t care. Facilities inside are starting to wear down. Jacuzzi didn’t work. Tumble dryer in the bathroom does not work. Wet floors all around. For the price we are paying, we expect someone to routinely clean them. My child almost slipped yesterday. Starting to be a big disappointment.

Fantastic experience: The facilities and new and well kept. The App is fantastic for booking and arranging all your fitness needs. Jennifer is an excellent sports massage therapist, she has worked in my injury and I’m much better. Liston PT has given me a great start to my weight management and how to use the equipment. The classes are fun. Plenty of parking and friendly staff.

Positive experience: Great gym and all the facilities one can have. One downside of the service is. They are all nice and sweet when they want you to sign up. But if for instance your circumstances change there is noone to get hold of and discuss further. You are not able to cancel on the app even if you didn't even start the membership. So that side of the business needs attention.

Positive experience: The reception staff are friendly especially Sara. Amir & Zara are also good workers. The 2nd left shower cubicle has no hot water. I love the gym, members just need to stack the coloured weights in the correct sequence.

Negative experience: Some of the staff at reception are super nice and try their best to be helpful so can’t really fault them. However stay away!!! Whatever you do, do not join. The price is absolutely insane for what you get. They have all the facilities and classes you need but what’s the point when somethings always broken. They take forever to repair anything and the changing rooms and swimming pools are dirty. There are stains on the tiles in the pool and the doors/walls in the shower. The showers are almost never cleaned, just splashed with water in the evening. Holes in the ceiling above the shower. There’s no air in the changing room so you come out sweating. Parking is an issue. Calling reception is pointless, was ringing for 20mins one day. There’s always an issue with the steam room and the clothing dryer. Sauna emergency alarm hasn’t worked since i joined last year. Paying close to £200 for this is shocking. Giving feedback to them is pretty much pointless as you either don’t get a response or you get a careless response with no resolution. Definetely cancelling after my contract ends soon. Also stuff will go missing in the changing room. There’s a new rule everyday. Apparently leaving your face wash by the sink for a split second is against the rule and staff are allowed to throw it away.

Negative experience: I am a member of another David Lloyd's. Heston David Lloyds very bad service in general., the phone never gets answered only for new membership somehow they are quick to answer. Dirty facilities, dirty towels with stains. Lockers are all locked by members so you spend a few minutes to find a free locker etc. Never again going to this David Lloyds.

Negative experience: One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The spa retreat is far from a spa retreat, full of sweaty men and women getting out of saunas and going straight into Jacuzzis and plunge pools. When I complained, I was told that there was a sign which was written in such small writing that I’m surprised anyone could read it. Staff not caring and too busy on their phones and chatting to their friends. The swimming pool was full of screaming kids. The showers were full of hair and empty bottles. Absolutely disgusting, I would never ever return even if you give me a free membership.

Fantastic experience: Went to view the club today and was given the tour of the facilities by Noor who was very knowledgeable and explained everything really well and clearly. The facilities look amazing from the restaurant to the tennis courts and the swimming pool, can't wait to try it all out.

She has developed a genuine love for tennis, thanks to the fun yet educational environment they provide. Coach Adam has been an exceptional mentor, offering a perfect introduction to tennis and inspiring Amina with his enthusiastic and supportive teaching style. Saturday mornings with Angelica are the highlight of Amina's week. Angelica's ability to make lessons both fun and memorable ensures that Amina is always looking forward to her next class. The tennis summer camp has been a delightful experience for Amina. She comes home every day brimming with excitement and eager for the next session. David Lloyd's tennis program is outstanding, and we highly recommend it to every parent.

Positive experience: The gym and spa are probably the best in the area. Though a problem which has not been resolved in months is the tap water. The water on the gym floor tastes funny and sometimes even smells. The water pressure for the spa retreat is very low that it takes 2 minutes to fill up a 500ml bottle. Management should sort this out as a matter of priority.

Negative experience: Genuinely worthless. Been a member here for over 10yrs. Currently paying over £200 a month on memberships but this gym has to be one of the worst. Staff are arrogant, parking rules brought in to get members fines (no parking in parent&child bays at 9:30pm when spaces are limited yet children aren’t allowed after 7:30pm) Facilities are awful, cleanliness and hygiene is poor. Half the machines are broken and don’t get repaired or fixed. A/C doesn’t work a majority of the time. I genuinely don’t understand how they think their membership is worth the paper it’s printed on. Shocking and really sad how poor the place is ran and managed.

Fantastic experience: My visits to David Lloyd’s fantastic facilities are always followed by a trip to the bar, Aaron is always professional, and very knowledgeable in suggesting classes and different amenities worth trying!

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed with Handling of Assault Incident I have been a member of David Lloyd Gym for about 4 years now, and until today, I was pleased with the facilities. However, an incident occurred today, 13th July 2024, that has left me extremely disappointed and concerned for my safety and the management’s response. While heading to the badminton court after my workout, I mistakenly entered the tennis court area. A lady on the tennis court started screaming at me aggressively. Despite my immediate apology and explanation that it was an honest mistake, she continued to shout and eventually ran towards me and pushed me. This incident happened in front of other members, including children, causing unnecessary stress and disturbance. I reported this to the reception and spoke with the manager on duty, Sami. Unfortunately, his response was inadequate. He claimed he couldn’t access the camera footage to review the incident and did not offer immediate support or resolution. Despite taking my membership number and promising to follow up, I have yet to hear back from him. Feeling unsafe and unheard, I reported the assault to the police, who are now investigating the matter. I have provided them with the necessary details and witnesses. This experience has severely shaken my trust in David Lloyd Gym’s ability to handle such serious incidents. Members’ safety should be a top priority, and the lack of immediate and effective action from the management is unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their response protocols to ensure such incidents are dealt with promptly and appropriately in the future.

Fantastic experience: Seray C is a best couch in blaze in Heston Davidloyds gim. She always looks after our workout. She is behind and support us. She doe amazing job and always make my day.

Negative experience: Horrible administration and service, I had a problem with membership it took me months and it’s still unsolved, but the took money and want even more for transfer. I have 2 kids and I work very hard to earn this money and they just taking them and we can even use swimming pool and gym for 2 months we used it only few times.
