Fantastic experience: Gabby - New Membership Team No pressure at all. I can confidently say I wouldn’t have joined the gym if it weren’t for Gabby’s above-and-beyond customer service. She was incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring I could join the gym when I was ready. Her support made all the difference!

Negative experience: I want express my growing dissatisfaction&frustration with the behavior and service quality provided by some of the staff as a long-standing member. Many staff members walk around with an unwelcoming demeanor devoid of smiles or any sense of hospitality. This is not the standard of service I expect from a club like DL.Tables are rarely cleaned and requests for cleaning are often met with visible displeasure from some of the staff.Toilets and showers and spa are left in a disgusting state.air con in the gym never works!When there has been an issue with food orders the attitude of some staff has been far from professional.This includes reluctance to correct mistakes and a general lack of politeness.One particular staff member behind the bar has exhibited behavior that I consider racist.While I have restrained myself from making a formal complaint in the past I will not hesitate to do so if this behavior continues.Staff often nitpick on parents with small children ruining from their enjoyment of the club.This behavior suggests a deliberate attempt to discourage families from attending. It's disheartening to see children being constantly reprimanded for simply being kids.This makes the club feel unwelcoming and hostile to families which is beyond disgusting.my own kids were told off for coming to the reception to get their tennis rackets for their lesson even though I was standing and watching them from the back.As parents we have a responsibility to ensure our children are supervised and safe but If Club isn’t safe enough for kids to come to reception to get their rackets,ball this is a serious concern about the safety of the club.Meanwhile, men walk around topless to the reception to get towels In one corner boys and girls are engaging in inappropriate behavior!Family parking spaces are regularly used by members without children.Members smoke in car park area,spa and outdoor area. One member walk around the club room vaping!and no one says anything! I have witnessed staff ignoring serious issues such as members vaping&smoking cigarettes in outdoor areas and in the spa.When informed the staff said they couldn't do anything or they are scared to say something!This is very different from how strictly they enforce minor rules especially against children.I've seen kids,teenagers being told off for playing laughing,talking loudly in the swimming pool or toddler running around and parent have been told their membership will be suspended. should be allowed to be kids especially in a family oriented club. If adults are complaining about kids why make things harder for parents and kids?Discipline is important but do they expect parents to put a leash on their toddlers/kids and tape their mouths shut?If adults in work areas are bothered, they should remember that kids are also paying members.They are just being kids and some noise is to be expected. Why hasn't DL considered covering the adult work areas with glass to minimize noise instead of making things difficult for parents and kids?This would be a more constructive solution than constantly reprimanding children and making the club experience unpleasant for families.Instead of making life harder for parents staff should focus on doing their job properly.I have concerns about whether the staff are misusing their authority over kids inappropriately!! non members jumping over the fence to use the spa/pool without any membership and the staff say NOTHING and take no action! It is evident that the staff are overworked and underpaid which undoubtedly affects their performance and attitude.However this should not translate into poor service for members who pay £££ for the facilities and services.most staff always seems TIRED and FRUSTRATED.they should not take their frustrations out on the members.provide better training and support for your staff,Ensuring they are well-compensated and valued will likely improve their morale and consequently the quality of service they provide.

Fantastic experience: I use the gym for personal training sessions and classes. My PT Julie Ronan has helped me totally change by body shape in preparation for my wedding. Highly recommend her - she’s awesome and has boosted my confidence in using the gym and in my own fitness hugely.

No matter your age or ability, Esther makes you feel welcome and included and provides alternative moves to suit everyone’s level of fitness. Esther consistently brings the energy and fun factor adding to the positive experience. Music is banging and you really do feel like you have had a good old work out. Esther is always on time and makes sure important things like health assessments are completed before your first time. Great, great stuff!!

Fantastic experience: Been attending Esther Piper’s Zumba classes recently. Esther has a high energy output that is reflected in her energetic class. The class is always full which is always a good sign of a good instructor. She always ask for any medical condition which is helpful as I suffer with lower back problems and Esther will always give alternatives for those who have medical conditions which is often forgotten about by some instructors. Esther is a top rated physical instructor that I would fully recommend as a PT. Thank you Esther for your brilliant workouts .

Fantastic experience: I started David lloyds about 1 or 2 months ago and I really enjoy it. The staff are really kind and generous they are always there to help and provide you with stuff you need. The changing rooms are really clean and I prefer it to other leisure centres as it the floors aren't wet and dirty and not full of hair. What convinced me to go to David Lloyd was the tour. Our guide was Gabby a staff member at David Lloyd, she is defo the sweetest person there. It was a pleasure to meet her. I highly recommend becoming a member at David Lloyd clubs.

Positive experience: Thoughts on the club so far.. The club room and facilities are great however the cafe is often understaffed and waiting times for food can be around an hour! The toilets need more monitoring as can often be a mess and also very smelly. I like the layout of the gym and never find it too busy to complete my workouts however the lack of aircon can make it very uncomfortable. I love having the use of both the outdoor and indoor swimming pools. The room designated for massages is a huge disappointment and really lets the club down. It’s very cold, clinical and doesn’t echo the nice design in the rest of the club. What lets it down even more is the fact you can’t relax in there when there are classes going on in the adjacent room because of the booming music and talking from the instructor on a microphone! The staff.. We were signed up with Kudret who was very helpful and is always friendly when passing by in the club since joining. I had a sports massage with Stephen which was fabulous* and a PT session with Natasha which was super helpful to get me back on track postpartum. * I can’t fault Stephen for the massage however I could not relax and properly enjoy it due to the class happening in the next room. I’d describe it as trying to sleep in a tent at a festival next to the main stage!

Negative experience: I am once again disappointed with the situation with ordering a meal. Once again after the time has passed I get information that a product is not available, it is a bit frustrating to wait almost an hour. The good lady who served us gave the impression that she did not know what she was doing. I pay membership diamond for what? It is worth working on better service. What is good is what is shown in the application has nothing to do with what you get on the plate, the chicken is dry and hard. The lady who ordered after me much later received her meal faster than I did, scandalous. I also ordered a salad that was supposed to be without cheese because I have an allergy and I got it with cheese, my husband ordered carry chicken and got cold chicken without curry. drama

Fantastic experience: We joined David Lloyd recently and have been really impressed with the facilities and the service provided. We were given our tour and welcomed by Anthony who was a fantastic host and certainly sold the club well! Thank you to Anthony and all of the staff at David Lloyd who make every visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely day at the spa retreat. The spa host Koncha was so welcoming and gave me a tour as she saw it was my first time coming. She explained all the rooms to me and the spa was very clean. Other members were respectful and friendly. Great club!

Fantastic experience: I've joined a month ago and I'm rather satisfied. I had 2 PT sessions with Tunj, so far, which have been great. Tunj tailored a set of exercises to my needs and made the sessions very enjoyable. The spa services are great although it can get a bit crowded during the weekends.

Sharon Anthony is an excellent spin teacher and I always enjoy her fun packed classes.i must say that Malisa on reception is wonderful always helpful, polite and greets you with a beautiful smile love her energy.

Fantastic experience: Love attending DL. The staff are so approachable and well mannered. The reception staff in particular are so welcoming, especially Zay (I think that's her name) who always takes the time to ask how I have been on every occasion. In terms of the facilities, they're top tier. Every spa treatment is accessible and members are generally friendly. No complaints.

Negative experience: If you have a problem at this club, none of the staff can help you. They are clueless and unhelpful. They don’t have CCTV in the training area. So if someone assaulted you there, there isn’t any evidence. Even when the police visited the site, the front desk staff were rude to the polices.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful club that has recently been refurbished with a spa retreat and new gym, such a lovely bunch of staff that work there compared to other DL branches, from someone who has worked in the industry for over 9 years but not used the gym once due to gym anxiety I must say my experience from start to finish couldn’t have been any better, Anthony from membership gave me the best tour around the club showing me all the facilities and what’s included within my package - Lola, Michelle & Nicolina at reception made my initial welcome very pleasant, calming my initial nerves and advising me best times to train etc, and lastly but not least Tyler my PT was just the BEST! For somebody whose biggest fear was starting up the gym he honestly put me at ease and gave the best induction! Despite initially being out of my comfort zone I left feeling great and ready for the next hurdle! Definitely recommend to anybody looking to make a real lifestyle change

I had my reservations at first but I was given no reason not to join after seeing all the features. It’s definitely a lifestyle upgrade that’s needed. Definitely worth it.

Negative experience: Both pools are tiny. 20 meters outside. 25 meters inside but only 3 lanes. When outside is closed & inside being used for pool aerobics or swim classes there's one lane for swimmers

Fantastic experience: This is a great centre, it has great facilities, and lots to do, both myself and my children always enjoy coming here. The staff are great , attentive and polite, always available and happy to help, special mention to Malisa who is always so welcoming at reception.

From day one, he’s been incredibly professional and made me feel completely at ease. All in all a great place to work out and very sociable whixh makes exercising fun!

The worker Zainam was such a lovely person, she really helped us around and told us where each facility was. She had great customer service and was so witty and humorous. Negative experience: I was disappointed with my experience at the David Lloyd Spa in Enfield. There is very limited space for towels, and all the heated loungers were covered in towels, making it difficult to find an available spot. The staff should be removing towels from unattended loungers to make them accessible to other guests. This is the policy in place at the Cambridge location, where there’s always space available, and it works very well. Unfortunately, in Enfield, it feels like towels are getting all the warmth instead of the guests. Given the high cost of membership, I expected a better experience. Staff is friendly.!!!

It is refreshing to find someone who understands the complexity of neurodiversity and the understanding environment at Enfield can only help us enjoy our leisure time together. Negative experience: Dear David Lloyd Team I am extremely disappointed after witnessing a violent incident during my recent visit. As a member paying £350 month, I expect a safe environment, especially with families and children present. Seeing multiple people fighting, one with a knife, was shocking and made me feel unsafe enough to leave my session halfway through.
