Positive experience: It's small, but I like the layout. It's always easy get access to equipment, even during busy periods. Everywhere is exceptionally clean.
Negative experience: Really poor facilities , lockers all damaged. No interest in the members at all. Just care about the money .
Hello Sajith, Thank you for taking the time to give us a review of your experience here at Anytime Fitness Lewisham. Google reviews are great a tool to give feedback to a business so they can reflect and make changes that will benefit our members. We have fixed our locker issues back in March and have continuously added new equipment since October 2023. These include Studio Dumbbells, a Glute Ham Developer (GHD), Single Leg Squat Roller, Sissy Squat an more recently a Belt Squat, Calf Raise and another adjustable bench. Members have given us great reviews of these additions being some of the best machines in Lewisham, and we are also looking to add more soon. Upon sign up we booked you in for an appointment so we can explain the membership options and find out which one works for you. Here we applied a student discount to make sure you got the best pricing plan available. We also explained that we provide inductions as well as wellbeing appointments that are free of charge with your membership. This includes a showcase of the equipment, also a 4 week bespoke plan to help you get started with your training. Our members can redeem this service by emailing in for an appointment. We have always taken our member feedback seriously, and we have been getting positive feedback from the changes and fixes of the facility that have been made. Fantastic experience: I’ve only visited this gym a handful of times, and it’s been a great experience every time. The staff are very friendly, and the other members are respectful and usually follow the cleaning rules by wiping down equipment. The equipment is always in working order, and the toilets are impeccable.
Fantastic experience: I've been to many gyms in London. Just moved from PureGym. This specific gym in Lewisham is best one yet. All machines feel like they have just been unwrapped, they are brilliant. Everything is clean. Space is enough for a good workout, and it's rarely busy. And most of all, the staff are so friendly and even let my friend visit out of goodwill. 10/10.
Positive experience: I am AF member from last 2 year , been travelling around UK and one of the best gym chain But specific to Lewisham , there are not much equipments to full fill the requirements Service which we used to get earlier from the Manager Melek was excellent in terms of training and posture - well managed I would say Over all I would rate as satisfactory Attached the image of equipments spread around , which I felt all the users must be aware of the gym rules and follow strictly
Fantastic experience: The space is small but exquisite, clean, and very friendly as well as quiet. Like boutique gym. The staff is extremely kind and friendly to help new guys like me. The facility is more than sufficient, and it's quite comfortable to move around in the two-story space. Especially the toilets and shower rooms are impeccably clean, at the level of a hotel. There is sanitary paper and cleaner next to all equipment, which is very hygienic. It's currently my favorite gym in Lewisham.
Fantastic experience: The staff there, particularly the Samoan guy who works the desk, were especially nice when showing me around the gym and the equipment

Positive experience: I have no issues with this gym, apart from the lockers. I would prefer padlock one but they have ones where you put in a code. The problem being most of them are broken, and I'm trying to avoid a situation where things got stolen in a previous gym. I think its fair to expect a safe space for belongings when we pay a membership fee. Other than that, the gym is generally pleasant well maintained with a calming atmosphere after a long day
Fantastic experience: Great place to workout, has most of the equipment needed for a good workout and great workers very helpful.
Negative experience: Expensive and small gym. Used it for good 1.5yrs, until they suddenly raised their monthly price from 24.95£ to 29.95£. I wasn't notified of the change and suddenly realised it when I noted that direct debits went up for last 2-3 months. When I asked them, they informed me that they did send an email, but later gave an explanation that the email sent to me bounced back. If it bounced back and I was not informed, isn't it practically taking an advantage of direct debit? I left and moved to The Gym group which cheap and simple gym with all necessary equipments
Fantastic experience: I like how quiet and spaced this gym is. No bright lights and dumb trance music. They resolved my issue without me needing to chase them. And Melek was pretty cool.
Negative experience: No recycling :/ The GymGroup does. I complained and still NOTHING is done. Only one set of free weights. Thus in terms of improving muscle mass and building stamina it sucks it only goes from say, 7.5kg to 10kg. Wifi SUCKS on the first floor. Again, was told there would be a booster… lies. Pros: Not that crowded and lots of cleaning products. Members are also meticulous on cleaning up.
Positive experience: Os aparelhos são ótimos, de última geração, porém não tem muita variedade, senti falta de alguns aparelhos para panturrilhas, e para lombares, fora isso é um ótimo lugar. É um lugar que eu visitaria novamente. Gostei muito dos funcionários, são muito simpáticos.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a gym that was opened 24 hours and came across this one, I started getting more infos around and I recently joined this gym purely because of the manager lady! Her energy, politeness, positivity and help is above excellence! She truly cares about her job and the members in it. She makes sure that everyone is looked after and always ready to help when needed! Truly reccomended!

Negative experience: Tried emailing but no one has gotten back to me still - cancelled membership in 2021 but they have continued to take payments, even trying to charge me late payments. Absolutely avoid.

Fantastic experience: When I first started training with Melek, I noticed an improvement in my posture within the very first week. Fantastic experience: This gym is great! All the machines are new and there is no waiting time! The space is always clean and tidy and so are the bathrooms. The automatic lockers are also a very good extra, you don’t have to remember to take your own lock. The manager is great, always welcoming and smiling, very helpful if needed. This is the 3rd gym that I have tried in the area and for sure the best!

Fantastic experience: Excellent small local gym, you can tell management takes pride in maintaining a healthy environment as the facilities are hygienic and cleaned regularly. Fantastic experience: The new manager is great! She’s welcoming and always greets everyone with a smile. I love the fact that they remembered my name from the get go! The gym itself is always clean, the equipment is high quality and the people look after it. Not too much wait to use the equipment as it’s never too busy. Reasonable price is a huge bonus!

Fantastic experience: You can’t go wrong with joining this gym. Friendly staff, clean gym, great equipment. Weight training area is always available and it’s not crazy busy like other gyms. If you like your privacy like me I highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: If i could give zero stars i would, Manager tried to bully me and lied about cancelling my membership. There is no one further to complain too, the manager or company do not reply. Gym is nice but the managements behaviour, is not worth signing up for here. Did not return my £30 fob deposit either

Negative experience: Honestly the worst business I have ever experienced the management of. Booked an appointment online to try the gym. Couldnt access an appointment so phoned, they told me to come down. When i arrived to guy said i had to book online. Showed him that i couldnt book online for the next 6 month. He said they were fully booked. He was sat in his office daydreaming. Atrocious management. No empathy.

Negative experience: Poor communication from manager and quite rude on the phone when i wanted to cancel and get further information. Took over a month to respond to emails. Would not recommend this gym. Positives: clean gym

Positive experience: Clean gym so that is very positive. But zero communication from them. Never got emails about updates (for example, when lock down lifting the various times - what we should do/expect to attend) classes, etc. I had to email or call every time I had a query. Might return as it was clean. But their communication was non existent. …..Is it that difficult to send out a class timetable every week?

Fantastic experience: Really clean and well-equipped gym for it's size. Has two power racks, one with a platform; a variety of loaded machines on the ground floor and cardio equipment on the top floor. RGB lighting is a bit of a novelty if you're visiting later on. Never had any issues with membership myself, I've a rolling monthly contract with a direct debit that I can cancel at any time.

Negative experience: I called up on or around 20th November 2020 to cancel my membership . I was told my membership was cancelled and I was free to leave ..... Fast forward a YEAR ( DECEMBER 17TH 2021 ) I wake up to recieve an email to say my membership freeze had now been lifted and my membership has unfrozen .... How ?! I didn't ask to freeze my membership and I certainly didn't ask to keep my membership . I've sent an email and got no reply , I've called EIGHTEEN times and got no answer from the phone number attached to the email and the number on Google. Still no answer .

Negative experience: I had my direct debit set up for the monthly due cost and due to the fact that they have technical error in their system, the payment didnt show at their end and they started chasing me via emails and sms to pay the amount due.. which is absolutely annoying service as management do not correspond properly with the insite agents.

Negative experience: Decide to close until 2pm today because they are messing about filming... No communication to members, have to waste time finding out at the door. Happened again on Tuesday, no explanation, no warning another wasted journey. Staff inside didn't come out to say anything either. Avoid at all costs, do not get trapped in a 12 month commitment.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs . They do not respond to requests to cancel your membership and then contact you to say you owe more money. Shame because would be a fine gym otherwise

Negative experience: Do not give these guys your phone number! I called in a week ago to ask about the pricing model and was quickly given the simple answer, before I hung up I was asked for my phone number, I gave it and said I'll pop down soon to look at the gym. Since then, looking at my phone I have received 7 calls from them, answering three, calls with deals, calls about when I'm coming down, call after call. I work in sales myself, I even tried to help the guy who called me once and went into a monologue sales pitch which lasted five minutes without me saying a word other than "Hello" without giving me his name, Job title, or asking if I had a moment to speak, I offered him a basic lesson in etiquette, politely. It's a gym, If I pop down I pop down, just leave me alone I am working! Sticking with Pure Gym!

Fantastic experience: Friendly clean gym. Polite helpful staff. All equipment seems operational. Private washrooms. Been there a year now, bit more busy, staff keeping up the standards and people working out appear friendly but not over friendly.

Positive experience: Manager names is Amet.(respect to the man called Todd...with nuff experience,in the field...Let's hope they can deliver a high standard.)he was very helpful,and took me around the site.i was able to film the whole thing,with his permission,trying to avoid filming any members...since it's new (only opened for about five weeks) I found it to be very quiet,and extremely clean...something your looking for a gym , especially with today's incident,ongoing ... Love the way ,according to him that they deliberately keep the numbers down,and at peak time you need to book in...thus keeping the numbers down More reasonable priced than the fusion gym,taking into consideration that your not allowed to use the Spa suite, swimming pool, on account of covid.....they also have separate showers.. I haven't joined yet, thinking about it,so watch this space,at the moment they have a special offer of £24.99 with a refundable joining fee of £30.00........worth having a look Update First work out,and nothing to wipe the equipment down with.....had to improvise,and use toilet paper...... not good
