Fantastic experience: Excellent choice of activities & friendly helpful staff

Positive experience: Good pool for a small town leisure centre. There is a small slide that under 5s will enjoy. Only downside it that the place smells pretty bad and it's a tad pricey.

Negative experience: Wouldn't think it's just 10 years old, design and layout is awful. Prices are ridiculous, £7 for an hour of 'float fun' about 8 things for the whole pool. Can't even see the car park spaces

Fantastic experience: Good swimming pool, nice staff, jacuzzi is good, enjoy steam and sauna but could do with updating,,can't grumble though,membership is a lot cheaper than other spa's I have been to

Positive experience: We live in northwich, and the brio in northwich doesn't have badminton court. So we visit this place just to play bedminton. So, I can't review all other things this place offers.

Positive experience: Went on a Sunday morning for a swim. Caught the end of the lane swimming session, which wasn’t too busy, then into the casual swim, which had a number of people trying to treat it like a lane swimming session, mixed with others going all over the place, which made it harder work, but we know for next time to get there for lane swimming. Plenty of changing rooms, clean and tidy. Toilets clean and tidy. Showers, go off nearly as soon as you’ve pressed the button which is really frustrating. I would also say they are too hot. Sauna, good but small. Steam room, didn’t use. Jacuzzi, out of order and has been for a while from what I was told. Overall, OK, but could be better

Positive experience: Class was very good. Instructor was on time and very pleasant. Floor in the dance studio was very gritty.

Negative experience: I was at Brio Winsford tonight, leaving at 8-50 pm , I wanted to shower after playing squash but the changing rooms were in the middle of being washed out which is not great as this can cause a real slip hazard so decided I would give it a miss and shower at home, then going out through the entrance this was like an ice rink because this had also been washed down, they do put signs up warning of the slip hazard but that doesn’t stop you slipping. Why can’t they wait till the building is empty and certainly leave the exit area as the last area to mop as the tiled floor is really tricky to walk on when wet .

Fantastic experience: I go most mornings for a lane swim. Staff, and fellow customers, very friendly. Place now showing a little sign of wear, but generally very clean.

Fantastic experience: I love coming here and seeing all of my class mates at zumba, bodyjam, combat and swimming. I feel really relaxed when I'm here, and for someone who feels a bit anxious when they go somewhere new or try something different, the staff and other members have been absolutely lovely and helpful in making me feel like I can ask questions, and feel confident and comfortable enough to go to the brio centre on my own. The pool is great as well, the only thing sometimes it that it can get a little bit crowded but other than that it's perfect for what it is there for. Thank you for making it so welcoming and accessible to everyone!

Positive experience: The Brio leisure Winsford is very good quality and is a newish building which has a swimming pool and a baby pool with a slide. There is also a sauna and a Jacuzzi. They also do classes for lots of dance and exercise, which is part of the gym membership The classes are very good and high-quality. The gym has lots of good machines and equipment. It is also not too busy so you don’t have to worry about not getting your equipment. They also had a refurbishment in the gym a couple of years ago so everything is new. They also have a free car parking and a coffee shop inside it is also very close to the town centre so you can walk over the road and enjoy the town.

Negative experience: On the website it says 7 day pass. I had difficulty acquiring this pass so called in to be told there is no 7 day passes only in the summer holidays but I can buy one for £15. This isn’t what your website says - False advertising.

Negative experience: Renewed my membership a few months ago to take advantage of the spa facilities. It must be getting on two months now, and I'm still waiting to use it. Asked the young girl on reception when it would be up and running, and I just got a shrug of the shoulders and a dirty look for asking.

Negative experience: We go every sat evening, and there is never any staff on duty but plenty of gangs of kids just using it as a hangout!

Negative experience: I AM NOT HAVING IT! I went to go to Wet n Wild and they said you had to book it. I can't believe it I've never had to do it before now my 98-year-old cousin is pulling out there eyes.

Negative experience: By far, it is the worst qym I have ever had the displeasure of forking out for! Cramped and not enough equipment for the number of people who use it. Unless you have the luxury of being able to go way off peak hours or have the time to stand around waiting, you will be wasting your time! Other reviews are correct it can be like a youth club after school has done. Even my 14 year old son is bothered by the number of kids' pi##ing about in gym flexing for tiktok or whatever. I can't even bring myself to go anymore! Massively overcharging for what you get!

Positive experience: People very nice, but they are apparently changing their equipment in April, thats what we dont like at Northwich gym.

Positive experience: Used for 6 months but now cancelled my membership. Got it for the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi access but they are never open. Kept trying to bring a friend to the gym but they kept saying he needed an induction but there was never anyone in who could give him an induction.

Fantastic experience: I went for the aqua fit this morning and there was a new trainer called Joe omg what a brilliant lady you could hear her instructions clearly and this was without a microphone her program was packed full none stop with moves that coincided with her music she interacted and spurred us all on to achieve the best results possible at our own pace. Definitely worth going to her classes 100% would recommend it for a feel good factor to start the day.

Negative experience: The gym Would be great if the up keep of the building was kept on top of. Also more selection of weighted machines. Its very outdated in comparison to the Northwich brio. Shame really as a lot of people use winsford gym and tbh it's not worth what you pay

Positive experience: It's got a good enough gym and pool there plus loads of extras I'm probaly not aware of such as fitness classes or yoga. Staff are really helpful and friendly which always goes down well

Negative experience: Gym is absolutely rammed after 4.30pm onwards. I understand gyms get busy and you can't expect everything to be free but this is on another level. Still charge the same monthly price on full memberships when the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room are broken for weeks. Rubbish ventilation in the gym and no air con, roof leaks. Been coming here for about 9 years but today i cancelled my membersh as the place has gone down hill massively. All the machines are crammed together when there's another room always empty to space them out. Tiniest area to stretch off and cool down. Classes cancelled in the gym because of lack of space. It's a shame because it was a really good gym at 1 point. On a positive note, the gym staff and reception staff are all really helpful, polite and approachable. Essentially the senior management have smashed out the numbers and got memberships high without upgrading anything to cater for it!

Negative experience: If I could leave a 0 star review I would!! I moved to the area and as this being the closest gym I decided to give it a try, as I’ve already been a member in the past in a different location I was unable to have a free trial, after 5 long minutes in the gym I knew it just wasn’t for me, i then asked about a refund on my membership which took 4 emails to get any answers, I have now been processed with a refund of 24.60 when the membership was 32 pounds a month. I was told I would get deducted the session I did which I completely agree is right, my maths isn’t great but the refund doesn’t quite add up!! Lesson learnt, I will never join a brio again and advice strongly against it! I would rather travel the extra miles and go to gymetc in congleton!

Positive experience: Decent facilities, lots of absences for staff mean swims are changed last minute however. One criticism would be how finicky it is to go for just an adult swim that isn’t stupidly early or late in the day.

Good car parking although has been very busy post Christmas so they sometimes have security making sure it's people using the facilities which is good. There is also a large pool viewing area and a cafe.

Just told by the answering machine 'your call is very important to us'. Obviously not. Still don't know if I can book a court, not trying again. Don't bother ringing - there's no point.

Fantastic experience: An excellent place to swim. Covid restrictions in place and strictly observed by the brilliant staff. I feel totally safe there.

Positive experience: The squash court was clean, and of a high standard (no plaster falling off the walls). It was a little odd visiting during Covid; it wasn't obvious that I had to enter the building at Entrance G (the opposite side to the closed Main Entrance). The lights were bright, and the only distraction was the music playing through the loud speaker in the court. Could also have done with a visible clock somewhere, perhaps in the gallery, in order to time the duration of the session.

Positive experience: Good covid safe measures in place, however it needs to be made more clear on the website when booking to wear your swimwear underneath your clothes when you arrive.
