Positive experience: Good exercise environment

Negative experience: My son and I both had Snapfitness memberships however due to my email regarding a parking fine on their premises being ignored I cancelled both of our memberships. Being the 4th August and the payment not being taken out yet I was told it was 30 days from Septembers payment! A whole 8 weeks from my cancellation email. Not being particularly happy about this I left it only to be charged in October as well. I have now sent two emails to resolve this and have still not had a reply a week later!

Negative experience: My 15 year old daughter had her date if birth changed to alow her to join the gym. She had to cancel her membership in June due to awaiting surgery. They took 2 payments in August and another one in September. Can't get hold of anyone at the gym through visiting gym or via gym. Absolutely shocking! Don't use as they just keep taking your money. Will be taking this further

Negative experience: As I am travelling I needed to find a gym for a day in April to keep up with my weekly sessions. Went to the gym, asked for a one day pass. When checking my accounts realised I was charged 19.99 instead of £10 ( price for one time pass as I was told). Once I realised how much they actually charged me I called and with apologies they said will transfer the money back. Not just they didn’t transferred the amount promised ,this month I realised they charged again with £39.99. So I went for a one day pass and they charge me for a membership.CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU NEED FOR JUST ONE DAY PASS.

I hope Snap Fitness Head Office have the full picture on what an absolute GEM you are Robbie and what an asset you are to this business. I see you, Robbie, working SO hard and being so attentive and welcoming to all your members. Due to Robbie's gentle (and very welcome!) persistence, I am a new member and I love Robbie's inclusiveness and passion to keep members happy and motivated. I cannot overstate how lucky I think this company is to have you. Loving that my new gym has smiling and friendly members and love the Wed Circuits class which has given a pep to my step today. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Chippenham, I have been to, staff are all so lovely and easy to talk to, both Luke Daniels and Robbie James are easy to chat too and are a friend welcome on entry to the gym, I have had no problem with any of the equipment, it is well looked after and if any problems fixed within a time manner. Would recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Will be signing up after an ankle injury has healed. The gym equipment is top of the range, wash areas are separate which I love (always hated open showers etc), I love the fact the classes offers are included in the price....the staff a knowledgeable, friendly and supportive...I literally don't think I can find any faults. There's not even payment by direct debit. You just pay as you go every month...so if you can't afford it 1 month, you can skip it with no repercussions

Fantastic experience: Been going to Snap for a few years now and recently it has improved so much. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming. Really friendly atmosphere. Free parking and normally you can get on the equipment you need to. Special thanks to Robbie, Meg, Natalie and Matt.

Fantastic experience: First started with Snap fitness as the location and free onsite parking were perfect for dropping in after work. It’s never so busy you can’t get on a machine but busy enough so there’s a lovely friendly buzz about the place. Staff and trainers are really friendly and happy to help with any queries. I did recently leave for somewhere ‘newly opened and slightly cheaper’ but found that I didn't enjoy it as much and stopped going. I missed the quality of the equipment and especially the changing rooms. Love how clean they are kept as is the rest of the gym. Just started doing a couple of classes with Matt and Natalie and really enjoying them. A very easy going, non threatening gym with happy, friendly staff!

Negative experience: Gym facilities are good and staff are friendly, onboarding not so good, wasn't shown or told that you need to enter your registration each visit or you will receive a parking ticket. Lots of headache associated with this unfortunately, as I had three tickets within the first few visits and each time had to get snap fitness involved to resolve as the ticket issuers would not believe that I was a member of the gym. Signed up initially for one month to try the gym out, got to the end of my month and decided that I would like to go to a different gym, notified the gym within the same month but still had to pay for the following month? Was very disappointed in these sneaky terms, and the fact I had to pay for a whole month when I was not using the gym really left a bad taste in my mouth for the place.

Pro's: - air conditioned - good selection of cable equipment and leg equipment. - good hygiene, machine wipes avaliable Con's: - machines need more maintanence - no dedicated calf equipment - needs better classes and trained personnel - can be quite full during busy hours

Negative experience: Let's start with the positive....it's 24 hours. That is the extent of the positive attributes to this facility, it's poor. Equipment is not maintained, gym has an overall dirty feel to it, which leads to the people using it, not respecting the equipment as what's the point!! If the management/staff don't care or have pride in their 'office' why should they expect paying customers too? Price....well it's high but if you're getting high end equipment, you don't mind the cost. That isn't the case with this Snap Fitness site. Often equipment is out of order or just not working as it should. A couple of example: 1) pad for lat pull downs was broke on numerous occasions, in excess of 3 months before initially "fixed" only to break again shortly after!! 2) flooring in free weight area, damaged to point of dangerous for well over 12 months, closer to 18. They then advise members that 'safety' is priority and close the area. Almost 6 months later, it's still not rectified, as a result, the gym is now down 1x squat rack/platform, Plated loaded kick back machine and a 1/3 of the gyms overall floor space. No updates provided and no reduction in membership to make up for the reduction is available equipment/space!! I've trained at 5 different sites and this one massively lets the others down. Thankfully other gyms are now moving to the area and offering competition. Speaking to a lot of people, the number of members is going to take a massive hit and hopefully this may cause them to do something about their issues and rectify the things that should not even be issues!! If I could give less than 1 star, I would!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym for a while and am really happy with my choice. The staff and facilities are exactly what I needed to get good results and keep up my regime.

Negative experience: Equipment takes weeks to be fixed sometimes months. Squat racks out of action for 2 weeks then members sent an email. Yes we have noticed! Surprised by the lack of urgency & service with a new gym opening at half the price next month

Fantastic experience: Great selection of equipment, both machines & free weights. Very well maintained and clean. Exactly what I was looking for in a local gym that I can access anytime with a busy schedule. Definitely recommend!

Positive experience: It's a textbook gym. Staff are great and it is reasonably priced. If I was to nit pick I'd say it was organised and arranged pretty poorly. In terms of equipment; the Boxing bag is pretty much in the middle of a walk way rather than out of the way. Could be doing with some Gym Rules as well dotted around to stop customers from leaving the place a mess.

Negative experience: Poor communication. Face fits gym. Too busy and equipment can’t be accessed.

Negative experience: Must be desperate for money. Didn't join this place, but there constantly asking me to join. Hit stop sending me messages and they just keep going. This place must have been hit hard with covid or something. As there always crying out for money. Would definitely go somewhere else. Not worth the cash or your time

Positive experience: Got all the kit necessary for an all round workout. Good staff , friendly regulars. I have dropped to three stars because of the lack of maintenance of the equipment.

Negative experience: This gym is way too overpriced for what is offers, very small place where they tried to squeeze as much as equipments in as they can. Too crowded, not enough machines. Apparently if you pay £45 you can cancel anytime. Well, they still payments from you without explanation so do not fall for them. I rather go to a bigger company to pay less and get more. AVOID!

Negative experience: Lovely staff, really great equipment, clean and tidy, but seemed to always be a group of guys being macho and loud. Not appealing, couldn't get over it, stopped going.

Negative experience: It’s scam I joined gym and after few months have to move from the area and called them to cancel but they said I have to come in gym to cancel and I live 300 miles so I cancel my direct debit which I can do because I choose to pay extra money just to be on monthly rolling plan. Guess what they are threatening me to take in court if I don’t keep paying them. Stay away from scammers

Negative experience: Too over crowded and not enough social distancing in the gym. Not suitable or recommend at all

Negative experience: Cancelled this gym 6 months ago back in November 2020 and they tried to take my payment in January (Feb-Apr lockdown) then they tried to take money from me again on May and since there is no 'evidence' of me filling out the cancellation form I will need to pay a total of £100 for me not going to the gym! (2 months and a months notice) Only reason I had to pay this much is because I had a text saying that the money owing them will go to a dept collector. I highly do not recommend this gym as this snap company cons you for your money.

Fantastic experience: It's been a pleasure training at Snapfitness. I've been training there for 3 years(ish) and the staff are really friendly and made me feel welcome from day one. Kudos to Steph, Matt, Lawrence, Matt E, Simon, Sam & anyone I've forgotten. Great gym :)

Positive experience: Been coming here since it opened, has a really good selection of equipment and even during covid and the distancing required, they have managed to maintain most machines in operation. What let's it down is the cleanliness, it's slowly slipped whereby there is mould in the shower rooms and you can witness the cleaner only hoovering up dirt he can see rather that giving the carpet a once over.

Negative experience: I've been a member here for a while and it's always felt homely, but not lately. A major change in staff has changed this once friendly and welcoming gym beyond recognition. There's never a friendly smile or greeting any more or even a look up to say hello or a goodbye. Since Steph left there's a "lazy" feel about staff on reception, the irony! Also the gym has become quite messy, members should clear up after themselves but often weights are left all over the floors which can be hazardous.. to top it off you're working out beneath air con outlets chucking out warm air, only since new management, is this because new reception staff find it too cold!? The gym is uncomfortably warm now and its not a healthy environment.. At busy times access to some equipment is impossible and this is due to it being such a small gym, only 1 leg press, 1 low row, limited benches and one cable machine. Toilets are often pretty grim too. Yes I've lost the love....

Negative experience: What a shame I'm having to give this gym such a poor review. The class teachers are lovely but as a member my experience of the management has been subpar. I cancelled my membership due to classes being cancelled that we wished to attend. We called and were told we had to visit in person to fill in a form to end our membership - no problem, we did so with far more than a months notice. We held up our end of the contract. And yet payment is still being taken from my account, I called to notify and get a refund, but was told it would need to be verified - and that they'd call back. I called again after 4 hours, surely that's long enough to check? But was told authorization was required by the area manager. They breached contract and contradicted their own terms, and took payments from my card without my authorization. Buyer beware. #iwanttoquitthegym

Negative experience: Oversubscribed gym. It's not too bad if you only want the cardio equipment, but the free weights have only one of each for lifting, bench press etc. Makes training effectively very difficult even during quieter hours.

Fantastic experience: Love going here, one of the best gyms in chippenham. Although its 35 pound a month there are great facilities and is open 24/7
