Fantastic experience: All good only two things are missing one is weight scale second abs machine these are most important.

Fantastic experience: Kids gymnastics facilities are good.

Positive experience: Came here for my niece 5th birthday party. My sister and I decorated the room whilst all the children were having fun in the soft play. The room was down a long corridor, which was ideal as we had music playing. The only issue was there wasn't a door, so we had to stack chairs in place of the door to stop some attempted escapes.

Positive experience: Had my grandsons 2nd birthday party there ,it was fun but the only thing was there there was another party going on at the same time so it was a bit chaotic

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Projector falty in spin class. Pump class never starts on time. Pool change stinks of urine.

Negative experience: Swimming pool very often dirty and with cold water, not to mention horrible smells from the changing rooms. Staff shutting down equipment way before closing time, absolutely ridiculous! Not to mention how they are keep reducing the opening times. And be careful when cancelling your membership; I needed to go through the bank to cancel because their management was keep insisting on my renewal!!

Fantastic experience: Council One stop shop, l assume situated in the Leisure Centre Complex.Always helpful,even if the Council charge us a pretty penny for the privilege. Friendly helpful staff and always seem efficient.Cant go overboard in my praise, it is the Council after all and us 'old uns' are way down on their priority .The one stop is one ray of sunshine in an ever financially grasping world.

Fantastic experience: The environment is very nice. The people are friendly and, because it's a community centre, it is often that people will see neighbours and friends here.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy the circuits training sessions which take place on a Monday and Thursday, great instructors and especially good music being played during this evenings session.

Negative experience: Today i been in Active LifeStyle Centre to join to the gym, but from reception they didn’t let me going in and check the new investment of equipment for 1M pounds. Obviously they want to keep it for them self. Very sad. Never again, this is my first and last time in this central.

Negative experience: Incompetent staff, never seem to have any idea what is going let alone know what classes are running. Ridiculous turned up for a 10am yoga class, only to find the class was cancelled! Disorganised and very poor communication and customer service. I am thinking of leaving for a better gym! Management are even worse rude, you and immature with little to no people skills. Worst managed gym I have attended. Class system is very disorganised.

Fantastic experience: I've have been coming to this gym for about a month now and in my time here it has been fantastic. The facilities inside the gym are top tier and the staff members are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. The swimming pool is also a excellent size and heated. The parking facilities are plentiful.

Negative experience: The prices of swimming lessons go up and up and the swimming pool changing rooms are gross and never cleaning properly!

Negative experience: Sat outside Yate Leisure Centre since 6am (now 6:30) with a crowd of people, including elderly and disabled people, and clearly someone has overslept. Many have given up. Can't remember this as part of my membership

Negative experience: Nice enough leisure centre and friendly staff. Unfortunately, their direct debit company DFC are absolute horrors to work with. Twice I have used Active Lifestyles leisure centre memberships, one in Yate and one in Longwell Green. Both times have I been chased and harassed for money from DFC for months that I had cancelled for, did not need, and was not even in the vicinity of the centre. Do not sign up with these monsters if you can at all help it. Attend any other gym or pool. DFC have ruined what could be a good chain by their horrendous payment policies and total inability to listen to good sense. If I sound furious, it is because I am. Honestly, just sign up elsewhere. It is not worth it.

Positive experience: Went roller skating in the holidays was good lenght of time. Could do with more games for the kids to do.

Positive experience: Plenty of free parking. Huge Tesco and lots of other shops. Free toilets. Fruit stall. Banks, McDonalds, Wetherspoons.

Negative experience: It’s filthy, the prices are ridiculous, and is absolutely NOT value for money.

Fantastic experience: Great local facility. I use the gym and occasionally hall activities such as badminton. These are superb facilities with very good helpful and cheerful staff that deserve all the praise.

Positive experience: Great venue and good pricing at £5pp. Tiered seating although very hard seats. Good scoreboards and announcements. Only poor element is the parking at the centre is limited - parking is available nearby but between 3-4 hours so means you have to move the car during the gymnastics competition

Fantastic experience: Excellent Facilities, even more helpful staff.

Negative experience: Consistently cold pool at general visiting hours. General cleanliness is not really up to standard all considered. Have made repeated statements with regards to the temperature of the main pool, but nothing is resolved. I appreciate it is managed by software that is preset, but there is not much harm in warming up the pool 0.5-1c for attendance.

Negative experience: Swimstars is a joke, they rarely move up as they can’t pass what’s required because they never actually practise what they need to. It’s just a money machine for the leisure centre. Been in the same class for over a year, Honestly just teach your kids yourself, you’ll teach them quicker and better.

Positive experience: Local pool so keep coming back for swimming lessons. The changing rooms are rarely clean, other parents don’t seem to wear the protective shoes and it’s ridiculously hot upstairs.

Fantastic experience: Great place to exercise! Lots of clubs, you can host birthday parties here as well. An overall great place

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the level of friendliness from the reception staff. I was anxious to start swimming after a recent injury and I called to book over the phone, the lady at reception booked a swim session for 20:30pm and told me to come to reception to check in and get directions to the pool. When I arrived the lady at reception told me 4 times that reception had shut and did not want to help me. I understand if reception is closed but she shouldn’t tell me to go there on arrival.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this leisure centre. It's not the closest to us but worth the effort as the staff are always helpful and the pool facilities are clean. Highly recommend it.

It's a trek for us, definitely worth it.

Positive experience: A well equipped leisure centre with friendly, helpful staff. There's a pool, café, and a good selection of exercise equipment and courts. Wide range of classes and sessions, including several for older people and those with health conditions or disabilities. Yate Active leisure centre is right next to the shopping centre and you can usually park within a few yards of it .

Positive experience: The desk staff for the leisure centre are generally lovely, with the exception of a couple who have made me feel somewhat unwelcome. The café is mediocre at best, their coffee and food offerings are somewhat underwhelming, understanding of course that this is a leisure center cafe. The pool facilities are decent although the floor in the changing rooms is often filthy. The changing rooms are also often dirty and leave you feeling a bit uncomfortable when drying off.

A council run centre that needs serious investment in both staff and standard of services provided. £15 for a 45 minute family swim in the small pool! Absolute rip off! Over a one year wait for children's swimming lessons… come on.. pathetic! People are being paid to manage this and are failing badly.

Positive experience: Good facilities. However the online booking system is awful. If this is monitored by active centres, please sort out the booking.... if you want people to book, you need to make it possible. Booking the family in for a simple swim is impossible.

Positive experience: Use this gym all the time. Its Cleaned all the time by the staff and there is a good range of weights and equipment

Negative experience: The air conditioner is very high and it is very cold. Gym room is freezing cold! Swimming pool water temperature is generally cold even if they said that water temperature is 30 degrees

Fantastic experience: Friday Roller Disco at 6.15-7.45pm was fun. Easy to find, free parking. Well run roller disco for kids and adults with skate hire, over 4 badminton courts, plenty of chairs, lockers if needed, nice stewards, a few games and good cheesy disco music. Next to Minor Injuries Unit if it all goes pear-shaped but all the skaters were considerate/well-behaved.
