Fantastic experience: Love this gym, plenty of space and lots of machines and weights. Steam and Sauna and warm swimming pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Lovely cafe and prices are very reasonable. Recommend the PT sessions.

Fantastic experience: One of the nicest, cleanest sanctuaries you could find yourself at. Friendly, helpful staff and plenty of activities and more importantly space to work out and a warm pool etc. Lovely cafe too as the service in the Dunelm one isn't that good.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed this gym, went as a one off with a family member as they had a free trial for a day. A decently large gym area with lots of equipment along with a pool, sauna, steam room. It seemed quite quiet which was nice and would recommend to attend this gym if you're local.

Positive experience: Pool be nice if some members would be mindful and Shower before they get in the pool. Gym Needs positive ambience music not start the day with positivity to listen to negative news on the TV’s. Shower mirror needs to be cleaned hard water on mirrors. Ceiling in shower area needs a good paint think membership should be £35 max! All in all till my pool is finished I will continue

Positive experience: I really like the gym. The pool is a bit crowded and I would like more aqua gym classes

Negative experience: The gym has very unpleasent staff, i paid for a membership and i am suppost to have a free parking space but these greedy people have sent me ticket for parking. they dont give any clear instruction for the parking or to put registeration in the tablet. Really unrecommended gym. you pay but in the swimming pool if your not swimming you will get told to get out, doesnt make since.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym like the plague. I went to have a look at their facilities with intentions of joining. I literally parked there 25 minutes and received a £60 parking fine. There was no one in reception I waited almost 10 minutes and eventually decided to just go through and have a look. When I received the fine I was told via email ( you cannot speak to anyone on the phone as well as see no one at reception, does any humans work there!) that send the fine to them and it will be sorted. Then I received a later email which said we cannot do anything about it and whoever sent the original email made a mistake and shouldn’t have said they could do something about it. I know if they had wanted to they could have cancelled the fine they just don’t care, in this financial climate when people are struggling to put food on their table this gym is ripping people off big time. Call themselves “Welcome Gym” I think they need to reconsider their name! If you don’t want to be ripped off stay away from this gym!

Fantastic experience: Great gym with excellent facilities. Courtney is the best PT I've ever had! She pushes you to do more and try harder to reach your goals. Her fitness programmes keep you on track in-between PT sessions.

Fantastic experience: Box n burn is one of the best classes! Excellent workout, good music and fun! All instructors are fantastic at welcome gym, they are extremely helpful, friendly and easy to approach! They have a great personal training team, Simon is a brilliant PT!

Negative experience: This review is based mainly on my efforts to join this gym. I had questions that I could not find answers for on their website. So I emailed through the website, as no telephone number is provided. I got no response. So one evening I drove to the gym. The front desk was unmanned so after waiting a while I helped myself to a pen and paper. I wrote a note asking that they call me as I wanted to join but had questions. They never called. On the plus side the members coming and going looked happy. But I joined a different gym. They were very welcoming.

Positive experience: Good gym, nice pool and there’s never been a time where I thought it was too crowded. Only one small downside is that some of the equipment is slightly dated

Positive experience: I joined couple of years back. Nice & clean gym with decent equipments, excellent staff. It used to be excellent gym but I would rate as good now. I am only having following concerns- 1. Classes booking system. Whenever I want to join any class always waiting or full. 2. Jacuzi is closed permanently. 3. There used to be a family swim which is closed during covid & gym hasn’t started again. My kids are taking swimming lessons here but can’t practice now.

Fantastic experience: Joined in November and haven’t looked back since. This gym is perfect for everything you would need at a great price. The classes are what gets me motivated, always so enjoyable and welcoming! I’ve tried classes such as combat, Pilates, yoga, spin and circuits with Jo, Lauren, Laura and Elliot so far and looking forward to trying more! All gym staff are friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to help you. The facilities are great too, often finishing a workout with a swim and sauna. 10/10 for me

Positive experience: I'm quite impressed so far with this gym, its clean, not too busy, and staff are helpful. The only downfall is that the gym equipment is a bit of a mix match, and that only bothers my OCD, and weirdly the changing room floor is unnaturally cold.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to welcome gym for just over one year now and I am so happy that I have joined, all the staff have made me feel extremely welcome and they are all super friendly, even on a Sunday morning. I have been to many gyms over the years, but this is my favourite and I will be staying a long time. Dee has been very encouraging with my workouts and has even took time out to show me some tricks of her trade….she’s great. Not to forget Lauren and Courtney, they too are a great asset to the gym, Lauren with her little friendly face, in fact she’s so friendly that we made a song up about her, it goes………… Oh Lauren you are so lovely, ohh Lauren you are so friendly, Lauren, ohhh you are the bestest and friendliest ever ….ooohhhh We love you Lauren……. And then we felt bad, so we made up a song about Courtney……. It’s easy to learn….. you just change the word Lauren for country and hey presto! Can’t wait to see you guys after you read this

Fantastic experience: Courtney is the best PT I’ve ever had!! She’s really improved my fitness and thanks to her for the first time in 3 years I’ve not focused on the number on the scales and actually seen an improvement without having to diet 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: Staff are lovely people. Lovely place to work out and exercise. Gym classes are always fun and hard working. Everyone is always included no matter who you are. Everyone is friendly including the people who enter the gym. Cafe area has nice seating and a good range of healthy supplements. Gym areas are tidy and clean as well as changing rooms. Toilets are always immaculate. Favourite PT would either have to Elliot or Jane. Jane because of how welcoming and enjoying her classes are. And Elliot who is see as an idol/ role model. All staff are amazing and there are no negatives for any who work there, these are just my personal opinion. {edit} Only slight problem is maybe removing the jacuzzi from the advertisement photos as customers may be expecting it? Just a thought

Fantastic experience: I’m pleased that some more varied classes have started to appear; there’s something that appeals to almost everyone now. Friendly staff, who listen to the members opinions, makes the atmosphere here very comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been at Welcome Gym for over a year now and can certainly recommend it. There are many different exercise classes to choose from for all types of abilities and the instructors are really friendly. The gym equipment is of a good standard and well maintained. Recently opened is a little cafe, ideal for grabbing a coffee after the workout or meeting a friend there for a cuppa.

Fantastic experience: During covid I truly struggled with my health both physical and mental. I dropped in one day and thought let's give this a go and now it's been one of best things I've ever done. I have found a way to de-stress, look after myself. But most of all I have found out that you really can do anything when you put your mind to it and with help, guidance and encouragement . A huge thank you to welcome gym and especially Simon a great guy all-round but also a fantastic PT.

Fantastic experience: I joined here in July, and I have to say it's a great gym...staff are really friendly. Having paid for the year, it's motivation to go often. The equipment is good and it's very local to where I live. The only thing i would be critical of is poor WI-FI, otherwise keep up the great work!

Negative experience: My first experience and the last one... We went there thinking of using the jacuzzi and saunas, but what? Jacuzzi closed. It would be ok if we had been informed about this in advance by the lady at the reception desk before paying. Therefore, one star for customer service.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, really friendly staff. Affordable price and provides everything you need to help you on your fitness journey. The app is a nice addition, you can see how busy the gym is in real time and book classes. They also do a taster session with one of their PTs for new joiners (I haven't tried it yet but it's a nice touch). Pool is good, possibly smaller than other gyms around but suits my needs.

Positive experience: Not the cleanest or the most equipment. But good overall feeling and nice and friendly staff

Negative experience: 4-5 times over the last month the gym has shut without giving any notice to members. Each time I turned up simply to see the lights off and doors locked. No apologies, no compensation for time wasted - very poor.

Negative experience: Very dissapointing Membership service Me and my friend had initially joined the gym for a year' s membership. During the 1st lockdown following Covid we were offered to have a membership freeze and we were pretty my much happy about it. But during the 2 nd lockdown they said they can't freeze our membership but can offer us a discount coupons for a further membership( hence we lost 3 months of our membership.). When we recieved our coupon we were disappointed to know that the coupon will only be applicable for a year worth of membership. How can we trust joining this kind of a gym for another year, if it did not provide membership freeze option in the 1st place. Be very careful when you join with contract.

Positive experience: Good place; weights room, cardio section, stretching room, and misc work area in the main gym. Friendly staff and decent prices. 2024 Update: price has gone up over time for not much in difference overall. Still some amazing newer equipment, and a newly added café are great. Mold in the shower cubicles, temperamental shower temperatures, and removal of the jacuzzi in the swimming area is most unfortunate.

Positive experience: Very friendly staff and reasonable monthly payments. Quite a small gym and it can get very busy at certain times of say, so can be very hard to park and use equipment and mats.

Positive experience: Jacuzzi seems to have been tiled over since my last visit a couple of years ago. I guess they're expensive to run, so saving money perhaps? Used the gym today, lots of machines of various types, nearly all seemed to be working.

Fantastic experience: I actually don't mind this gym. Just signed up and I usually try go in the quieter times and the type of people you see are the 35+, they're respectful and most seem friendly. Equipment is pretty good too. Staff seem friendly as well.

Positive experience: This is my current gym and I love it, BUT the classes are always fully booked which is so frustrating, and not having a contact telephone number is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Very outdated equipment, and not the cleaniest, over priced for equipment that was there.

Fantastic experience: Been going for about two weeks now love the gym pool and sauna etc. Changing rooms could do with some new paint. Cosmetic changes. Nice friendly leisure centre with all sorts of class's etc to get involved with. Highly recommended and priced VERY fairly!
