Kimberley Gym & Swim

Fantastic experience: This was a great and clean place to go for a swim. I had swimming lessons here for over 10 years and all the teachers there were so nice. The water was filtered out properly and there were only minor problems with the on site showers. Sadly they have closed the pool now so a good place to go swimming now is Bramcote Lesure Centre.

Negative experience: Was not at the gym Was at car boot sale

Fantastic experience: I always enjoy my swim and other group exercise classes with the lovely staff at Kimberley leisure centre and lovely reception staff.

Negative experience: Since the school took it has gone downhill... Hardly any staff. Disability ramp is out of action with no sign of it being fixed. Showers too are hit and miss whether they work or not.

Positive experience: Always go to this gym. Staff are always friendly. Only gripe would be the classes. They are all geared towards women and not enough variety. I enjoyed boxeecise but it was on hlfsr too late

Fantastic experience: Use the gym here regularly, though not used the pool or classes as of yet. Gym is small, but well equipped and laid out, with a lot of friendly people who attend. Staff make the difference, they are all brilliant, friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and always happy to help. The lifestyle sessions included in the price, where they put together a training plan for you are absolutely worthwhile, the plan Brendon has given me has really helped with knowing what I’m doing and staying on track.

Fantastic experience: Grandson goes there every week for swimming lessons. He's doing well and enjoys very much. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Positive experience: The gym is still as good as always with some classes on too. Pool is as well kept as always and most of the same staff too. Car park is busy during swimming lessons but you can usually get a space.

Positive experience: Place is being taken over by the school and it won't last much longer without a huge community outpouring. Staff are friendly enough. There is so much that needs modernising, although there won't be much left to modernise at this rate! Classes are well taught and wide ranging.

Fantastic experience: I have visited relatives in the area for decades and at the same time have always enjoyed having a swim at the pool in Kimberley Leisure Centre for a reasonable price. The visits were interrupted by COVID and a lot of changes took place - such as having to book the swim in advance - and the professional & friendly staff immediately answered my e-mail asking for information. Anyway I had a relaxing hour's swim as a non-member for £5.15.

Negative experience: Staff is friendly. The changing room and showers are awful, it’s time to invest in that. Gym is okay but very small and there are way too many teenagers. It feels like a college club.

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t been to a gym in years and was a bit worried about going again and not knowing what I was doing. The staff here have all been lovely and incredibly helpful and kind. Kyle took the time to show me how everything worked and set up an app for me to help me plan my workouts during my free new member activation. There are videos to show you how to use the machines correctly if you forget. The app also shows you how many machines are free so you can kind of see how busy it is before you head there. I can’t recommend this place enough. You really do get a lot for your membership fee. The free one day pass is really helpful if you want to just have a look and see what it’s like before committing to a membership, too. Just wish they were open a bit later at the weekend but I understand that people need a break sometimes and the weekend is a good time for the staff to finish earlier.

Negative experience: I was told this week they would be opening the Swimming pool for non swimmers. £29.95 is far too expensive for a gym only membership!!

Positive experience: Given three stars as this place does need a bit of work, the gym is the best part of the centre and has a bit of everything you need. Parking is attrocious and the prices to pay as you go are ridiculous you have to pay a full day pass £10 or £7.50 if you register for a pass card for 12 months, that's even if your just going in the gym for an hour or two. Not good to say it's a Broxtowe Borough Council owned leisure centre but then again hardly surprising.

Positive experience: Excellent facilities for cricket and 5 a side football. Excellent free parking for 70-80 cars. No water fountain available in leisure centre boasting of fitness facilities. You have to buy water ! Rehydration should be free.

Fantastic experience: The reception staff and instructors are all lovely. I come mostly for spinning which is hilariously good fun and I've lost 2 stone since August. I've never met an instructor who has made me feel uncomfortable and awkward. Keep it up and thank you.
