Positive experience: Very busy as always. Not always clear instructions on kit and not often that staff are available to help. I don't like that I have to pay extra for some classes. Over all it's cheap and does what I need it too.

Fantastic experience: A well laid out gym and bigger and cleaner than the brigewater puregym, it has better facilities, better managed, more than one gym machine and less time waiting. More lockers and access to the yanga water machine, very friendly atmosphere and less youths sitting on machines with there phones..

Positive experience: Nice gym, lots of machines to use etc. Sometimes difficult to do the exercises you want depending on time and sometimes too loud.

Positive experience: Just had my first Pump class with new trainer Alex (Wearmouth). If I wanted a PT, which I don’t!, then I’d choose him. In the class his encouragement was motivating to keep us all going but more importantly he was good with technical coaching points along the way too which I have to say is usually lacking in classes at PureGym. I could see during each exercise that he was looking around checking how people were doing. He seems a good solid lad who is a natural at his job, confident, pleasant, interested and relaxed. He did the exercises along with us but not showing off and making it about him - this is a good trait of all PureGym instructors actually compared to previous gyms where it’s one big ego trip for the instructor! The only reason for four stars instead of five was the routine itself which is probably down to PureGym not Alex. The PureGym routines tend to be less choreographed than BodyPump but I am used to it now and sort of prefer but today especially the music seemed to be even more unrelated to the movement. I still enjoyed the class very much and am looking forward to next time - and that’s something I never said at Everyone Active or Nuffield! I’m so glad I joined PureGym this year and well done to Alex.

Positive experience: Well equipped gym, free showers if you stand under one of the many leaks in the roof. Unfortunately a bin and blue roll didn't fix it.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous ‘Pump’ session with Alexandra today. Not only did she explain each move, time them to the upbeat and energetic music, make sure you were aching just the right amount by the end, and take part in the exercises with us - but she also did it all with a smile! Highly recommend her sessions. Will be back for more

Positive experience: This gym has all the needed equipment and enough space to do your workout. The trainers I've encountered so far in the classes I've joined have been satisfactory and proffessional. My issue is with the leaking roof that spoils the carpet everytime it rains...making a horrid smell around it, enough to make you avoid using the equipment or space anywhere near the puddle. Multiple spots around the gym are affected(studio, functional area) It seems to be a reocurring problem and still not addressed for quite some time, I figure this to be a big minus considering the expensive membership we pay monthly, and joining fees and all the little things that add up.

Fantastic experience: Estin’s classes are always really good and fun, he is friendly and encouraging, definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very nice Gym. The managers are so kind and the personal trainers are very good and always very helpful when you ask them for help. I see Alex the manager cleaning the gym every time I am in for my sessions. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the equipment is of good quality.

The manager, Alexandra, runs an amazing abs class - a friendly and personable atmosphere, you feel very welcome by Alex. She helps you with the best form for moves so you really get the most out of it and build your confidence. Thanks to all the team!

Negative experience: Couldn't even just pop in to check out the facilities because no body was available, far too reliant on scanning barcodes for my liking I think il check out the gym in town, shame as this is a five minute walk from my house!!

Negative experience: This gym is full of a bunch of little freaks, Gym's decent but the people who go there are pretty off-putting. Don't go unless you want to see 15 year old wannabe roadmen working out in coats

Positive experience: Very helpful staff, equipment quality good plenty of room. Only down side is having my bike stolen recently, there's no cctv or nearer bike stands outside the gym.

Fantastic experience: The staff and polite and professional and the chap who showed me around took time out of his break felt bad for him but was happy to answer any questions that I had about pure gym and there was no pressure from him to join but did tho and the atmosphere in there is very relaxed no toxic people there at all from what I've seen the members there seem nice also would recommend pure gym to people or at least go have a look around up to you really.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending this gym for a year and it's a good place to be. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, people keep themselves to themselves and let you get on with it, I've rarely seen people using cameras which is a plus. I've needed pointers in the past, other gym users are happy to help and in turn I've offered assistance to others. Equipment is kept in good condition and if there are faults, when reported they are fixed in a reasonable timeframe.

Negative experience: Has the potential to be a good gym, however, the Managers aren't approachable and walk around like they don't want to be there, let alone be questioned or approached. The gym etiquette is probably one of the worst I have encountered, youths leaving weights everywhere and no respect for anyone else attempting a workout, all the while staff ignore this. The leaks are a major problem and often occur, hopefully this can be rectified once and for all. Just recently the WIFI has been introduced, which I think was mentioned on numerous reviews previously. Must do better in my honest opinion.

Negative experience: Awful, rude non professional attitude of staff.. Roof always leaks so the gym is closed when it rains, full of crowding teenagers taking all the equipment. Avoid Pure Gym in Taunton, other more decent gyms in the area to go too without these problems.

Fantastic experience: 2024 update nearly 20kg down and some challenging times later PureGym remains my haven Alex and James are kind, patient and supportive of my fitness journey and I wouldnt swap them and the gym for anyone, the equipment is great and the classes remain fresh. Don't know where I'd be without you guys. Since joining in October last year Chlo, Estin, Jamie, Ash and James have made me feel so welcome, supported me in my weightloss journey by celebrating my wins and supporting me when I'm having a bad day, I couldn't want for more, excellent clean facilities and a great range of classes, thank you guys I honestly couldn't do it without you

Fantastic experience: Solid, no nonsense gym, has everything you need with good parking. It also now has WiFi.

Positive experience: One of the larger pure gyms in the south west region. Good mix of machines and free weights and the functional area is fairly clear most of the time. Had a promo with a local nutritional supplier on which was a nice added bonus.

Positive experience: Good value gym with good space and range of equipment. All it lacks is WiFi..most mobile network coverage is insufficient to enable calls or data streaming. This has been long promised but has yet to be delivered.

Positive experience: Everything is great, the equipment is new and fairly well maintained, lots of space and it’s spotless. However the lack of phone signal and WiFi is why I’ve gave it 3 stars. If you go to the gym for an hour or 2 that’s a long time to have absolutely zero signal …. There’s also only one toilet in the men’s.

So I got out of the gym and I cancelled my membership this happened today 9th of march 2023 around 4 O’clock

Fantastic experience: Love the place, has been busy since New Year, often a few gangs of boys inside at various times (but they've kept themselves to themselves, but has been a bit off putting as a female). Staff always lovely, been doing PT with Jaimie who is brill. Only negative, need some more bikes with the proper screens - 3 (including one if you have an issue with your back) isn't enough in busy times.

Fantastic experience: Easy to use, no long contracts, no dealing with sales advisors, easy to get to, clean and friendly. The perfect gym

Positive experience: A good gym, can be a bit of a kids club when they just all stand around chatting near machines or posing in the mirror taking photos of themselves.. but if you ignor that and get you head down and work out.. its a good gym.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the gym

Positive experience: Good quality and range of equipment. However, one bottle of hand sanitiser, one bottle of cleaning spray and a single, loose blue roll for the whole gym is really not okay. Especially it’s stored no where near the cardio equipment - rarely see anything being wiped down as a consequence and quite often one of the items has run out.

Positive experience: Great gym full of kit, fairly busy at peak times as to be expected from a pure gym - lack of Wi-Fi is a huge issue. The whole retail park is a phone signal black spot so unable to stream to your phone easily. Previous Reviews say there’s Wi-Fi but this is not true - only staff Wi-Fi is available, asked staff and they tell you there is no Wi-Fi. Pure gym PLEASE get Wi-Fi, I’ll leave if this does not get sorted out.

Fantastic experience: Been a member since it opened and despite the interruption caused by the severe storms this place has been faultless. Great gym with decent equipment, sensible pricing. Always help available when you need it and the app is excellent.

Fantastic experience: 24-hour gym with the basics. Decent space and coverage with the majority of the gear. Access is controlled and generally well-maintained. They also have a decent free weights section and a smash pad section for lifting.

Negative experience: UPDATE: I put a review up three months ago regarding no Wi-Fi, I'm now putting a review up of 1 star, still no Wi-Fi and rude staff, you ask the staff when the Wi-Fi is going to be installed and they don't have a clue either, I'm also adding that for the last three weeks the showers have been freezing cold and also problems with the gates entering the gym, myself and 3 other members were trying to enter the gym for almost 10 minutes before the gates finally opened. the gym is seriously going downhill fast and hasn't been open that long. Still no Wi-Fi in the gym, EE doesn’t work in there either, find it tough to train without music or podcasts to listen to.. hopefully can get a date on when this will be installed. Thanks

Positive experience: fajna siłownia dużo sprzętu i miejsca. Parking dostępny za darmo. 3* tylko dlatego że nadal nie ma wifi. Sygnał z sieci jest bardzo słaby. Od północy do 3 rano nie ma dostępu do przebieralni podobno w związku ze sprzątaniem tylko że w tym czasie ani razu nie widziałem ani jednej osoby sprzątającej. Bardzo powoli są naprawiane usterki np jeden z pryszniców nie działa już długo. Ogólnie spoko nie ma co nazekac bo cena jest niska.

Positive experience: So many pros to this gym. Opening hours, ample parking and excellent facilities to name a few. Only giving 4 stars as in my opinion could do with a few more machines(shoulder lateral raise machine, plate loaded chest press) etc
