Fantastic experience: Been coming to anytime fitness for nearly a year now and never looked back, I have been to various other gym but this gym has always stuck out for many factors: -Range of equipment and accessories -Kind friendly staff -Correct music volume -Air con always working -clean shower and changing area with supplies deodorant and soap bottles always full. This is by far an amazing experience and the community is fabulous, so friendly. Would definitely recommend as is better than any gym I have been too :)

Positive experience: I've been coming here for two years now. While they've had their ups and downs with management, they're still open 24 hours a day. No, it's not the most premium gym and doesn't quite compare to places like JD Gym in Macclesfield or Total Fitness in Handforth Dean, but it offers quality equipment that's more than adequate for most. Considering the price and the convenient access, it's a solid choice. If you're looking for something more upscale, you might want to look elsewhere.

Positive experience: The place is a small for for the cost. They have 4 treadmills, 2 cross trainers and decent selection of machines but it feels like you would be bumping into everyone when the place is busy. The kit all feels outdated, useable but compared to other anytime fitness it just all feels old.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever! Avoid at all costs. Smelly, dirty, expensive, small and topped off by staff who mess up your billing and harrass you. Seriously - avoid at all costs. I just wish I could give less than one star.

Negative experience: Management lied to me to get me to sign up. Was hesitant about signing up to a 12 month commitment as had just finished University and was job hunting so didn't want the commitment if I had to move cities. Manager agreed to let me sign up for 6 months, which he wrote onto the contract (should have immediately asked for it to be on the system) crossing off the 12 months to say 6 months and my contract end date amended, which he put a signature next to. 6 months down the line I come to quit and email the new manager, as the one who did this had left. Was told I was a liar as "anyone could just write that on themselves". Pretty sure this manager has now also left so be careful when signing up, as there's not continuity in the staff at all

Negative experience: The manager Jackie Cougill didn't answer calls, emails, texts, and didnt have any comunication when you would like cancel. Bad experience with her.

Negative experience: Why is an adult member of gym staff unable to follow a basic procedure to cancel a membership after several written requests and phone calls asking for the same thing? Terrible communication skills and disinterested unhelpful staff. This same problem can be found many times in the reviews on Google. Don't get roped into a contract at a mediocre gym where the staff don't care about you and you will end up losing money to a membership you had made every necessary to step to cancel and then you will be harassed by late payment and arrears threats.

Negative experience: I used the Anytime Fitness website contact page to cancel my membership twice and never got a response. I then called and was told that I had paid my last payment as I had a 12 month contract which was due to end and was explicitly told it would not continue. As a result I cancelled my direct debit. I know get weekly threats asking me to reinstate my direct debit. When I called the next time I was told the contract rolls over after the 12 months but they cancelled my contract there and then (I asked for email confirmation of this but they never sent it). However I still get threatening texts weekly. I have called again asking for confirmation that my contract is settled and for an email which they confirm but don't send me an email. I'm still getting texts 3 months later!

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and expert advice. Highly qualified and friendly staff. Small gym but has all the essential equipment and great pieces of kit as well. classes are great push your limits and leave you feeling happier and that you have worked hard. I look forward to returning for another session

Negative experience: unbelievable that I sent them an email to cancel my gym membership because I was moving house. I spoke to them twice to confirm they had processed it and they said they had. Behold, they took two payments from me before - after the house move - I realised and cancelled my direct debit. I've resent them the email and they still haven't cancelled it and now aren't picking up the phone - what is wrong with these people. DO NOT JOIN.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym really enjoying the classses

Negative experience: Harassed by so many messages and emails for a five month stretch after my contract had ended telling me I owe money.. I don’t. Staff assured me the problem would be solved but never did! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Positive experience: It ticks all the boxes and is pretty quiet, good staff

Negative experience: Convenient (for me) but expensive for the limited facilities, poor hygiene and maintenance. Labels fall off the equipment and are never replaced, in fact they're left on the floor for months. Loose bolts and worn cables on the equipment. Very rapid staff turnover so don't expect much continuity. No-one has ever asked me if I need any help/advice. Update August '23 Nothing has changed; still badly maintained and dirty. Update June '24 Gym even dirtier/scruffier. Broken equipment still not fixed. Hard to believe new members view the place and still join.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic new fitness timetable launched this week w.e.f 01/08/07. Sophie's new circuit and HIIT classes are fab so challenging and you really feel the burn. Atef's legs bums and tums class and new box fit class also fab.
