Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this gym a few times as I’m actually from out of town and compared to my local gym it’s modern, clean, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be returning.

Negative experience: Don't join this gym/pool if you like hygiene. Or a working water fountain. Or positive helpful, happy staff. I had to give 3 months notice to cancel. It's like no one has cleaned it properly for years, especially pool and showers. Weird smell coming from new sauna. Jacuzzi was so hot yesterday it was unbearable. Recently saw a man shaving his belly while sitting on side. He saw me looking and waved. Water fountain for gym has been dribbling for a while. Now it's not working at all. I have to go to the bar for water which is not near. Shame not many options in Swansea for pool/steam/sauna/jacuzzi but there are other gyms. Roll on 3 months.

Negative experience: Don't trust this gym, they'll try to steal money from you. I spoke to an employee over the phone regarding cancelling, and they stated that they'd start the cancellation procedure, and I'd have two more direct debits come out. I waited until the two direct debits come out, and cancelled future payments. They're now coming after me for debt owed. I called again and informed them that I was told two payments left. The staff on the phone said it's up to the system, not the staff regarding cancellations, and that I owe them £75. I was told there are no dispute procedures, and I'd have to pay it because it's 'not up to staff'. Awful service. Also quite a dirty gym (especially the sauna area )

Positive experience: The swimming pool is often too cold. A hair dryer breaks and doesn't get replaced for months it seems in the changing area and the Jacuzzi is far too small.

Negative experience: I’d avoid the village gym at all costs across the UK. Despite being rushed into surgery and being on the recovery, I’ve had nothing but hassle from them since when trying to cancel. Im unable to use the gym due to these medical reasons yet they are demanding long notice with me paying before cancelling my membership fees despite knowing id be unable to attend the gym. They have constantly hassled me for money also stating that I will be referred to debt collection. Member services attitude is absolutely appaling and again reiterating the line ‘you need to pay’. It’s honestly not worth the stress joining the village. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Negative experience: Village gym Old and run down. I used to train here 11 years ago and it’s not been changed since. Very sad looking. Paint pealing off the walls. Looks like it’s not been dusted in years. I don’t think they own a hoover. For the price you pay to come here definitely not worth the money. Chaining rooms also looking very tired and dirty. No working water fountain on the gym floor Even the desk staff were surprise I paid for a day pass. Ceiling is not high enough for pull-ups. Your head goes through the ceiling tiles. Box jumps same problem, head goes through ceiling.

Negative experience: Given completely inaccurate information when I signed up went to the gym once and found the equipment old and poor. They then had the temerity to try to stop me cancelling within the initial ten day period. Don’t touch this place with a barge pole

Fantastic experience: Signed up with Danielle, she is an absolutely fantastic personal trainer. She makes coming to the gym so much more pleasant, has focused and effective workout plans and knows how to keep you engaged. It's been an absolute pleasure working with her. I wish she did a group class as well so I could join that as I feel she has the perfect energy to keep people motivated.

Negative experience: They are a scammer, carefully when you sign up read their terms and condition for cancellation. They add terms which you are not aware of it afterward they will sue you.

Positive experience: It's small but there are enough facilities to make up for it. Not for if it's worth the £40 monthly fee.

Fantastic experience: I used to be a member here and now when I'm in town I attend using their day pass option at a reasonable price. Go there workout then relax in the sauna and steam room, can't beat it....staff are amazing also, welcoming and professional.

Negative experience: Getting worse. Has the essential equipment and leisure facilities. However, most of the time unavailable - over exploited due to excessive memberships. It’s a flooded, wild gorilla zoo. Cleanliness is a major concern too - sauna and steam room are filthy (floors, walls, doors and benches; stinky and mouldy). Solution; the price needs to be at least doubled to filter out the tr**h (which is possible given the demand) and then followed up by regular membership surveys for improvement. Stop begging, start valuing, learning and move into the 21st Century.

Positive experience: Gym is very busy now it’s the beginning of the year. Despite this their PT’s are double setting machines for their clients. The gym is too busy to be hogging two machines at once, extremely poor gym etiquette, especially by their own staff.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone. If you have an issue with payment or follow up and you actually manage to get through to a human on the phone they are of no help and can’t think outside the box. You naturally answer the phone frustrated due to the extended time it takes out of your natural day to speak to someone. I tried 3 x yesterday and the line just rang our continuously each time. Today, I was fortunate and they answered within 10 mins. The staff in the gym were pleasant but the facilities are not worth the price. For the money they ask, the equipment in general isn’t kept up to speck. E.g. dryer in the Men’s broken for months. I left my house due to renovations and wasn’t in the area. A freeze was agreed on my account. I was told to make contact again in the future when I was able to attend the gym. This would have been around Feb 2023. Sadly, I have received notification I am in arrears because I haven’t contacted them and that there was an email I received in July stating the freeze was until December. I never saw said email and didn’t know to look out for one as it wasn’t explained to me on the phone. Further, the arrears are for two months payments. So instead of contacting me in the first instance or when they didn’t receive money, they strategically waited to charge me more? Average gym, pleasant staff. AWFUL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Could probably run it better using WhatsApp.

Fantastic experience: Best to go early in the morning, food is awesome, swimming pool lovely temperature. Toliets/showers lovely and clean, lots of classes to choose from also , something to suit everyone, really enjoying it. Forgot to mention someone is always on hand to help with equipment if your not a gym person like myself very handy

Positive experience: Only used the Starbucks cafe while i waited for someone who had an appointment there. The facilities of the village looked very nice but as I couldn't find a car park space that was a free or short time one...I had to park elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Great staff, gym is OK.

Positive experience: The main gym is very small, however, it has everything I need. Nice and clean swimming pool, although it is only 1.2m deep. The sauna and steam room is clean, and also has 2 Jacuzzis. The staff are always very friendly here as well as the people come here. Always have a very pleasant experience here

Negative experience: Scammers who steal money by making excuses that they are paperless so they get a secret signature for a contract you never agree to. Glad to be rid of such a horrid place. Avoid a membership at all costs. I should sue

Negative experience: Swimming lessons are a major problem with the pool as they take up half the pool every weekend and most evenings (bar a Wednesday). The swimming tutors will throw users out of the swimming lane when it's their turn (private arrangement and not part of the Village Leisure Club). The leisure aspect is non existant when it's like this. I've been a member for over a decade and have never seen it as bad despite promises from management that they'll resolve it. If you like a swim then you are restricted as you'll end up in one busy lane with other mixed ability swimmers - fast and slow. Sauna is okay but does need an update and regular cleaning. Steam room is currently really cold with hardly any steam and a gap under the door letting all the hot air out. Worst steam room in the Village chain, but nothing new there. The least the Village can do is stick to the their own rules - if kids are supposed to leave at 5pm on weekdays, make sure the swimming lessons finish at 5pm too.

Positive experience: Enjoy the classes and option to get bite to eat after in bar. Occasional issues with classes cancelled at short notice, and food service. Restaurant staff don't have much experience.

Positive experience: Cracking gym, clean and good size. Pool and staff are great. Pool isn't big enough to be accommodating general users and also swimming lessons concurrently though, the pool should be limited to the respective use cases and occupied facilities closed off to general users when the activities are in progress. I appreciate the concept but I would say it's either one or the other, feel I've wasted my time on a few occasions trying to use the pool to be told (politely) by staff to move in order to make space for the lessons.

Positive experience: It's ok, bit tired here n there. Not very deep at 1.2 metres all round the pool. Jacuzzi is fairly small (3 people is cosy) and again quite shallow compared to other places we've been too. £12 for a day visit seems a little high for whats on offer.

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a gym in 20 years. Only used the equipment I knew how to operate. Did feel a bit lost as wanted to try other equipment but no one around to help. Other than that extremely safe on covid measure. I will however return.

Positive experience: I've been a member for over a year now. The staff are friendly and helpful and the membership good value - just one thing that both myself and my partner are becoming increasingly disheartened about and that is the cleanliness of both the changing rooms and the pool. I recently had an ear infection after a visit to the pool and sauna. The poolside is filthy and showing green mould. An improvement please.

Positive experience: Had a lot of com complaints on cleaning and finally took them onboard, however took them nearly a year to respond! I felt it is ran by kids who do not know how to treat guests. Else equipment was fine, just the changing rooms and showers need more thorough cleaning!

Positive experience: Lift has been out of service for three weeks. Wheelchair user and access can sometimes be difficult. Staff do do everything in their power to help but management need to take note.

Negative experience: There are better gyms for the price you pay here... Could be more neat and clean It's a nightmare trying to cancel de membership. They require you to pay an extra full month WHICH I WASN'T TOLD when I signed up in 2017, I clearly remember the girl told me "once you finish your binding period you are free to leave", but now I know she lied Im feeling deceived and obviously I don't recommend this place.

Life guards are there to monitor. Spa/Jacuzzi and fully operational Gym. Just outstanding. Staff are so helpful and friendly too. I would have given 7 if I could.
