Fantastic experience: Great place. Many activities available, happy and helpful staff , clean environment, parking available!

Positive experience: Only went for a swim. Couldnt get out of car park,barriers not working. Buzzed intercom 4 times and no reply. Cars were reversing away from barriers. Eventually barriers opened, dont know if someone got out of car and went to reception ? The barriers need to be sorted out, as I noticed from other reviews that this problem has been going on for some time.

Negative experience: A Mixed review really, the pool is great however the locker and changing rooms are often unclean with many broken lockers. Urban Limitz and Vertigo are a good time for the children however often need a clean up in the communal and waiting areas. The biggest issues throughout are cleanliness and staff attitudes. I have often visited and had rude encounters with staff. They are willing to sit and take your money but very little else. It is such a shame as it has great potential to be a fantastic place.

Positive experience: You can do swimming, gym, table tennis, tennis, yoga, pilates, water aerobics and many more.

Negative experience: Don’t come here if you’re not a member, a lot of the time you book a court and the equipment isn’t set up so it eats into your slot that you’ve paid for. And staff aren’t really in a rush to get it ready for you when asked. Parking system is a nightmare, you’ll get stuck at the barriers on exit even when you have paid for your ticket. When calling for assistance, the phone is never answered and you can be left in the car park for a very long time until a member will let you out using their card!!

Negative experience: They never pick up their calls. Impossible to speak to someone. Outdated systems. Just poor all around.

Negative experience: Reception staff are so rude. I left my access card in the car they refused to open the door and I have only 5 minutes for swimming, have to go back with kids to get access card to get in swimming area.

Negative experience: Having to be a member to have access to the spa facilities feels quite unreasonable, there should be a day pass option or pay as you go options especially as this is the only pool and spa facility directly in harlow, the price for the membership is also highly unreasonable if this is the only thing you want to use there needs to be a cheaper spa membership

Negative experience: Really disappointed, what happened to validating parking if attending a party or swimming? £3.70 for over 2 hrs. Will definitely look elsewhere for party venues in future,

Negative experience: Reception doesn't move quick enough took 20 minutes of the trampoline session messing with the computer that wasn't functioning, website for waivers was down so had to use one on the wall near reception which was so very grubby. Staff member went under her desk heard her say to the colleague next to her she was sick under her desk which I was pretty grossed out about hoping I misheard but then gave me wristbands hadn't washed her hands beforehand or used any sanitiser. I tried to sanitise my hands and the wristbands before putting on the kids in case of cross infection and they were empty: went up to the trampoline mezzanine to find it stank, was very very dirty tables filthy spiky drinks on the floor not clean chairs all over the place the vending machines filthy and wonky with a drink stuck in the windows one turned around not working no one on the desk serving, cafe closed. Was like it had been looted and left. The toilets had been 'cleaned' but were disgusting. The sides were rotting and the smell was something else a shame this used to be such a clean and tidy venue but it's a Petri dish at the moment so sad to let something nice for the kids go to this level of neglect- if you want to know where the next pandemic outbreak will begin my money is on this place

Positive experience: I went to the hairdresser's inside the Leisure zone.

Negative experience: It's a shame that there is such poor customer service. They do not care about customers especially those who have been members for years. The new system.is punitive forcing you ro buy a new membership card for a swimming lesson (because I forgot to give it to my mum). My mum kept the card because they would not allow us to have 2, we made a last minute decision to go to urban limts and even though they could sew my son's membership on thw computer and he did not need to swipe in they made us pay full price. This week despite having a card and swiping in the building it took them 20 minutes and interrogation to let my mum out of the car park. She was quite distressed when she got home. In thw gym equipment is torn which leads to poor infection control. We pay for membership yet the gym is poorly staffed. Blokes walking around with shirts off people filming and taking photos. People climbing on equipment. A women exercising in flip flops and long dress. If I want a gym that is poorly managed I will go somewhere a lot cheaper. I have since left along with my husband to go to a better gym with bone if the nonsense that we have had from leisurezone. Do your research thwre are better better gyms out there

Negative experience: Car park barriers not working again. Massive queue to get out. Just make it a free token for people using the site!

Positive experience: Brilliant pool. Lockers are really dodgy and annoying.

Negative experience: Very rude, uneducated , bad behaviour staff , Dirty changing room and shower area. I had many problem with staff , i went to many times to reception for changing my card. But they did not. She tried to selll me free swim hat. And she gave it free to english lady front of my eyes, and she was very rude did not change my broken card. And i was taking my daughter picture in changing area . Rude man staff came and did not allow me to take picture and he was very rude , this leisure zone workers has to be change immidiately. And my opinion this behaviour s for other countries people. We couldnt book space for swimming lesson many years. My english friend booked it for me.because she sent e mail with well english. And now my kids are waiting more than a year for skip one level . Whats the reason of this? They want more money or push us for leave it?

Positive experience: Not a bad leisure centre, with plenty of stuff to do for adults and kids.

Positive experience: Never seen a kid have a bad time at the leisurezone. There is swimming, a soft play, places to hire out and places that do classes for other activities etc. Not 5* simply because the food options are expensive and poor in quality - would highly recommend a packed lunch or avoiding at meal times. Otherwise a great place to keep the kids busy for a while

Fantastic experience: Took my baby boy here for a swim he absolutely loved that the baby pool is warm

Negative experience: I would give this 0 stars if I could. The service is so bad. Long queues everytime and the recent one is I booked my kids for fun float. My younger son is 8 so I was told he would be in the main pool and I accordingly paid for this. The session starts and we are told my younger son cannot go in the main pool inflatables as he is not at the advanced swim level. But they would not let him go in the learner pool either as he had not paid for it. But we had paid for the main pool and not allowed to use the inflatables so we should have been allowed to use the learner pool. How does that make any sense other than just trying to keep customers in the dark, not giving full information at the time of booking but telling them once payment has been made that they cannot swim as not advanced for main pool but they will not allow to use the learner pool either. Be very careful before booking anything here as you will be kept in the dark but full payment be taken off you.

Positive experience: Good facilities, love coming here. But they need to sort out the showers in the spa area. There are tiny flys on the ceiling above the shower heads that have been there for a while and there’s potential damp/mould.

Negative experience: Very rude staff. Horrible experience do not buy a membership as staff are lazy and rude

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience at Harlow leisure centre My right to buy was violated at the cafe I wanted to buy ice cream which was clearly visible in one of their chillers One of the cashiers or sales representative told me there was no ice cream available I tried to speak with the other colleague to have a chance of speaking with the manager after she confirmed that ice cream was available and selected 4 different flavours for me to choose Instead, since the person who was responsible for the actions of not giving me ice cream was moving from left to right and noone was interested in asking what transpired The manager came and told be not to be rude otherwise i was going to get anything after explaining to her that the person she is saying was not aware they had ice cream is not the one who denied me the right to buy Mind you i was not there to steal i had money to buy I left without ice cream or pepsi max on a hot day maximum was 30 degrees on that day after my job i was not too well and wanted to cool myself with a cold drink or ice cream After swimming session

Positive experience: Went to the climbing bit today and that was fun would recommend that! The pool is boring but that’s fine! The food is expensive!

Positive experience: Plenty of activities to do for everyone, so overall a great place. We visit here frequently for the kids to swim or use soft play. The swimming pool could be better - if it had more fun things like a wave machine, slide or inflatables.

Negative experience: The staff at the reception…they shouldn’t be working there unless they get some training ! The most arrogant,rude , and incompetent staff! My niece cried for hours because of they incompetence

Positive experience: On the expensive side for adult lane swimming but I had no time limit which made up for the price!

Negative experience: The joining process is very long and overly complicated, they don’t mention all the important things anyway. They claim students can cancel at anytime with no issues or extra fees however once you do go to cancel they will try to squeeze money out of you and bring up their ‘terms and conditions’ which conveniently do not get spoken about while joining. Facilities are ok.

Positive experience: Good kids pool, nice temp seemed clean. If it had slides, it would be a 5 star

Negative experience: I would give no stars if I could! The place is a rip off! I signed up for £57 a month to not be allowed to use the gym and now they won't let me cancel. Rip off organisation

Negative experience: The administration process is outdated and slow. Every time you renew you have to fill out the whole form again - paper and pen, this should be online and you should only have to update stuff that has changed. Then you queue up to pay and then are passed to another queue to get your card. This is from 1980 not 2024. Come on guys you can do better, this takes time, money, causes customer frustration and gives you a mountain of paperwork.

Fantastic experience: Visited this place a few days ago for the first time, and definitely won’t be the last, I decided to go swimming with my wife but I wanted to know specific details about the pool and the times it opens and closes. I spoke to a lifeguard called Ben who was very professional and happy to help, definitely felt as though he knew what he was doing meaning that my wife and I could have a nice time in the pool.

Negative experience: Workers are unfriendly and rude. Do not visit this gym if you are looking for a fun time, just go somewhere else and save your time equipment isn’t up to date, go to pure or jd for a good experience

Fantastic experience: Just joined but yea staff nice Pool clean, lovely changing room's upstairs even had a hairdryer in my locker .too many activities to list.

Positive experience: Had swimming competition there. It was great overall but it was a bit too hot. Luckily I brought lots of water and there is a water fountain at the swimming pool.

Fantastic experience: Swimming lessons are good but this whole place is in serious need of better maintenance. So many things just don't work properly, we always expect to be sat in the car park for 10-15 minutes waiting to get out as the barriers fail once again etc. Seriously frustrating virtually every time we visit. EDIT: parking and lockers have been addressed recently and the entire experience is so much better for it. Good work all round.

Negative experience: Clueless…arrogant young staff that certainly need training! Walked in there was a dropped orange segment that was trod on walked out an hour later and it was still there..definitely no health and safety issues there! Really awful service ..it feels as if the staff don’t really want to be there

Positive experience: Parking was a tad confusing. I wasn’t a member so it seems I had to pay from what I could make out from the signs in the car park. There were also machines to pay. I presented my token at the front desk and asked what to do. The woman simply scanned it or something and said I had 4 hours free parking ??? When I left I put that token in the machine and up went the barrier, so no idea? I came for a party. My friend told me how much it cost and I was shocked for what you get. Our kids went to a football party and apparently some skills or something would be done at the start before the match but they seemed more like playground games like bulldog. I guess the coaches didn’t look very competent but reminded me more of a playground supervisor. When we went to the room upstairs no water could be provided because the option of catering wasn’t chosen. I think that’s ridiculous considering the money paid for the party. I will say the birthday boy looked like he was having a great day, but no more than if he was playing football outside in the park

Positive experience: My kids love the pool, the small one is always lovely and warm. One thing would be if the lockers in the pool area could be upgraded or fixed. 1 out of 2 seem not to work and I've lost so many 20ps trying them all! Apart from this it's great, the soft play is good too but i wouldn't go during half term as too busy.

Negative experience: The yoga and pilates class teachers were amazing. However, the classes was overcrowded with people who did not booked classes and showed up anyway. That made working out uncomfortable. On the other hand people who actually booked classes in advance(2-3weeks waiting time) were panatalise each time for not showing up and was charged a high fee on top of membership. Spa was always full so not enjoy it all. Facilities time to time didn't have working conditioner so freezing in a winter time and way too hot in the summer. When I wanted to cancel my membership I needed still to pay for another 2 months even if I wasn't using it. All due to their policies. This was after being loyal customers for over 1 year and a half I was expecting a better services. Not enough I requested a call from the manager to speak about all of this but nobody even bothered to call me. So I guess the feedback is clear now. Do not recommend this centre. There are better leisure facilities out there.

Positive experience: Good. Kids had a nice time, had the whole equipment to ourselves as there were no other participants. Only downside is there were a couple of interesting climb activities that were available only weekends and we weren't allowed to access them.on this weekend visit.

Positive experience: It was ok, just wish the water was a tad warmer in winter, just a personal view.

Negative experience: Attended gym and sauna with my carer got frog-marched into the changing room to prove I was disabled and they were demanding my care Identification card id card. Totally unprofessional, unsatisfactory customer care skills are a lot to be desired management. Very condescending. Also, will not Provide CCTV under GDPR Request.

Negative experience: The carpark system is a shambles. Be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes in a queue to leave the car park.

Fantastic experience: Harlow leisurezone has it all. Great gum with lots of equipment, a small spa and a big swimming pool. There a nursery, lots of activities and things to do with the children. The staff there are all so helpful, especially the lovely lady who signed me up to the gym and showed me round.

Negative experience: Charging £5.40 extra for two parts of the climb is a micky take. It should be all inclusive. You can't take kids too a place with exciting things, say go have fun and then keep them off of the main attraction. It's unethical and nasty, bordering on cruel. Just be honest and add a quid or two to the overall price rather than making the place look cheaper than it really is so that everyone can use every toy in front of them.

Positive experience: Lots of things to do including swimming, yoga, plate etc. Many different activities for children but it's very busy and noisy and some people found the car park token system difficult.

Positive experience: Loads to do, fantastic for kids but every part of the centre is always dirty and there's never enough staff.

Negative experience: Absolute contempt for people who visit. No customer service and after waiting 35 minutes to pay for the car park, then having to queue 20 minutes to leave the car park. Asked for a manager and was laughed at. Suggested they open the barrier but they didn't want to lose the money. Appalling!

Negative experience: Fiestly the car park paying system is very confusing. Then during our visit in to kidzkingdom it was poorly designed due to the parents seating to far away from view of children in the soft play area. There was no area to park prams or pushchairs which meant the exit was partially blocked by people leaving there prams in the aisle. Very confusing place if you dont know where things are. I will not be visiting there again

Fantastic experience: Can't complain about this place, I'm a member of the gym which is fully stocked with equipment and never too busy. The swimming pool is brill, the swimming lessons for my daughter have been great and they have lots of fun stuff for the kids like soft play, rock climbing and trampolining. Great little hub.

Positive experience: The que to get into the kids swimming pool at 11am is really bad. We was left waiting 15 mins before they decide to let anyone in for some reason which has no become a regular occurrence. Surely they can come up with a quicker process..

Fantastic experience: Great place to take young people for a day out! Swimming, jumpoline, quasar and more. Fairly priced and great entertainment.

Negative experience: If you have a 9 to 5 job, then it is not very good for such a price. There are limited classes in the evenings. So, there are not many options for people who work. The swimming pool is very busy as most of the time most of the lanes are closed for children swimming lessons. As a result, the remaining lanes are always too busy in the evenings. Friday evenings, there are no swimming lanes for public at all. On the positive side, instructors of the classes are good. Again, because of the limited space, sometimes it is hard to book.

Negative experience: Management really need to do something about their SEN policy and staff training. When I say management I mean someone higher than the manager because they too are clueless and inappropriate with terms used during our conversation.

Fantastic experience: Leisurezone is a good place for everyone who wants to swim, play and have fun, for kids party and so on .lovely day out in the Leisurezone the kids loves it so much.

Fantastic experience: Great place for the kids to go. Not only is there a swimming pool, there is also a soft play area. This is a place that is good for parties and also adult too can have fun. With the vertical wall. There is something for everyone to do.

Negative experience: So, best gym in Harlow but super over subscribed, really ruins your work out when you have to wait to get on every single machine! Also gym classes like yoga and Pilates have up to a 20 people waiting list, surely the leisure zone should be learning from this and putting more classes on?

Positive experience: Good modern leisure centre. Really good for the kids. Wide range of activities. A few of the food and drink facilities close fairly early which was a bit irritating when we had a children's party in the late afternoon. But, would definitely return again. Recommend.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic swimming facilities, especially toddler splash for the little ones! Soft play is clean, tidy and ample seating. Toddler trampolining is also absolutely fantastic (kangaroo club)

Positive experience: It will be nice, if parents will take their children's dirty nappies and place them in the bins available everywhere. If you want the nice, clean place, keep it tidy.

Fantastic experience: Great soft play area for kids with good sized slides and activities. Great if you have overactive kids who need to burn off their energy in a safe place, especially in winters and on rainy days. Free parking too...

Positive experience: Attended soft play. Online it states you'll get at least 50 mins. When busy you'll be asked to leave after that. It was almost empty when we went but we were still asked to leave after 50 mins. Fair policy when busy, but not when there's only 5 kids in there. We picked a quiet time so we could stay longer.

Positive experience: First impressions was good ,didn't realise there was so much here, I went for swimming so can't comment on the rest. I took my daughter here for the first time and I have to say it was good ,seemed reasonably clean and tidy ,learner pool was nice and warm main pool ,colder but was fine ,was busy when we went but not so busy that you can't move . Only issue was older kids over 10 messing about in a learner pool while there was young kids and some babies ,they were throwing things etc don't think the lifeguard should have allowed that . There was plenty of lockers ,there was showers to . What I liked was that although there was lessons (schools) there was still a public swim ,saw a small place to get a hot drink ,and a snack as well not sure what else there was . I'd go again

Fantastic experience: One of the biggest leisure centres I have ever been in where they cater for children as well as adults equally. There is a climbing zone, a large swimming pool and a trampoline park, which I loved, but will sap your strength and willpower if you are over the age of 40. The Leisurezone is not cheap, but if you need a place for those kids that need to let off some energy, I can recommend it. There is a lot to do for adults as well, from a gym to fitness classes. There is a pay parking area, but the tokens can be validated at the reception area if you are paying to use the services. Reservations are recommended. Good fun.

Fantastic experience: Go see Frankie at membership. She's girl for you. The way she looked after me. I'm new to the area from Midlands and know nothing of Harlow. From the tour to the contract she was funny, helpful succinct and professional. Got me settled with ease. As fir the Venu. I can't compliment enough. So much and so many pieces of equipment I was blown away. Could do with cleaning the shower floor at a regular interval though. Melani at marketing gets a whoop also. Keep up the Stirling work ppl. Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre, especially for the kids' zones, loads of options for kids parties, softplay, and tones of other more advanced options for kids. Haven't used the swimming pool yet, but it looks great.

Fantastic experience: Excellent little leisure centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. We used the pools, which were clean and well maintained. There are family changing rooms and there is a viewing gallery as well.

Negative experience: Absolutely freezing water took me ages to get in the pool and didn't warm up during my swim, a young group of kids broke every rule and the life guard told them to leave and they just stayed in the pool laughing their heads off at him. The life guard had no help or assistance, they made a complete mug of him, what a horrible place....
