Negative experience: Phone was damaged by a piece of the equipment in the gym due to it not being maintained. Have been calling for 2 weeks now asking for insurance details. No one can be bothered to even call me back. I’ve now called 8 times and been told “the manager will call you back” just really awful customer service. What am I paying £300 a month for

Having been a member in the past, I had not appreciated how much the facilities have advanced, thanks to the lovely Nonnay who gave me a tour. The Spa facilities in particular, are first class! The receptionist and staff are always welcoming, the club is well-maintained and has a luxurious feel. In particular, Rhianne has gone above and beyond to make my experience extraordinary, addressing any issues with membership and demonstrating professionalism throughout. I appreciate the hospitality throughout the clubs staff and relaxing atmosphere the club provides, which has been beneficial for my mental well-being. I highly recommend this club for those looking for a place to unwind and promote their mental wellness.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities, enough machines and space in the gym even in the weekend so I don't have to wait. Heated pools and lifeguard to ensure our safety. Not to mention the relaxing spa facilities - Sauna, steam room and cold plunge to help relax and recover. Friendly staff to guide me and my partner throughout our time, especially Audrey! Can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: I've been to other DL clubs and I think this is the absolute best. I love all the classes especially Baree fitness with Lee Davies, Rythm with Annie and body pump with Kyle. The list is endless. Pilates with Denise Wilcocks is also amazing, my stamona and core have changes for the better.

Fantastic experience: I have just watched the kids tennis tournament at DL Kidbroke this morning. It was really impressive watching how all the children, who have been coached by the head coach there, have progressed so well. They were all brilliant, kind to each other, encouraging and most of all they had fun. All different levels but all very happy to be there. This is obviously testament to each child but also down to the inclusive environment the coach has created at DL. His lessons and clubs encourage everyone, no matter what level - he is patient, kind, and makes tennis an enjoyable sport. Well done to everyone today.

Fantastic experience: Walked today to a tour .. without a booking the staff was bery accmodating and saw me without delay. Rhyanne was amazing and really took her time to get to know me and understand my needs. David Lloyds have amazing facilities and cant wait to have my 1st session here!

Negative experience: David Lloyd Sidcup and Dartford offer a welcoming and supportive environment for tennis players who are starting out or looking to improve. Within just a couple of months, many players progress quickly and gain confidence playing against fellow improvers and intermediates. Unfortunately, the experience at Kidbrooke was less encouraging; beginners may find the atmosphere uncomfortable, with feedback suggesting their skill level isn’t suitable for the club. In one instance, being told by the coach, ‘you’ve been once, you know not to come again.’ If you’re new to tennis, Sidcup and Dartford are better choices for a positive and motivating experience. Feedback shared with HQ received no response, so sharing this here for awareness.

Fantastic experience: Great tour of the facility by the excellent MATT. What a phenomenal ambassador for David Lloyd. We signed up on the spot thanks to Matt’s enthusiasm and knowledge. Nice one.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars for the ladies in the creche I was super worried at first leaving my baby girl ( Amber) they were fantastic, they listen to concerns and were so caring and kind. This gave me & my wife some important time together 1-2 tines per week. This is a great place if you have a family. We will miss the club & only left because we moved.

Positive experience: We’ve been at the club coming up to one year. In that time, we’ve seen improvements to the shower facilities and the adult lounge. However, I struggle to understand how Kidbrooke justifies its ‘Diamond’ status in comparison to other much better equipped clubs… which don’t hold this rank and therefore the price. To compete, Kidbrooke needs to bring in: - E-Gym (this is at a number of clubs and awesome!) - Improved tennis facilities, after the wind blew off the cover this has never been replaced. Likewise for a club of this size and alleged stature, four courts is not enough. - Squash courts - essential when compared to other clubs - Padel courts - fastest growing UK sport and available and extremely popular at a number of clubs Where Kidbrooke does excel is the beautiful spa, but more importantly it’s Blaze coaches and facilities. Big shout out to Liza, who’s Monday morning classes always start my week right. Lisa, whose Friday morning classes end it right! And Nathan aka Gareth Southgate - the recent Blaze 101 session he did was a good murder! If there’s a plan to upgrade the facilities as I’ve outlined, then this will be a superb club. Matt

Fantastic experience: I Joined David Lloyd Kidbrooke a great number of years ago. It’s great to see they update the place all the time with new spa, showers and have built the new Blaze exercise room. The Blaze rebels class which is an adult and kids class is excellent especially with Nathan Russell. It’s a shame George doesn’t do the class any more on Saturday morning.

Positive experience: Good spa facilities, inner swimming pool is friendly for kids especially the small side pool with warm temperature water. But the price is higher than previous years.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym! After being a member of my old gym for many years I recently decided to switch to David Lloyd and I've been really impressed with the service so far. The quality and range of facilities on offer, particularly the family and kids activities are superb and and much better than anything else I've seen locally. Molly was super informative in my introduction and getting me settled and encouraging me to use parts of the gym I would have never used in previous locations. Negative experience: I joined up on 17 th July Did not last the 14 days !!! Paid my money Emailed David Lloyd numerous times phoned also regarding my refund !! In the mean time as I had cancelled within the 14 days put this in writing also called the club , to now get threatening emails saying I haven’t paid my first months fees so David lloyyd is good at taking your money don’t communicate within there company !! Absolute shambles and to want charge 240 a month is a joke !!!! Now I got take this further all because David Lloyd won’t refund me oh I’ve been Told numerous times I will be refunded but hasn’t happened it’s now 27 th august !!!!!!!!!

Positive experience: Lovely club tour experience with Rhyanne - she’s very friendly and accommodating. I joined up for Diamond Plus and here’s fingers crossing my experiences would live up to my expectations. Great facilities so far - the Blaze and the Pools and the Spa. I am yet to try them all in the next few weeks and hope to give further feedback then. My only concern is the gym area which seem cluttered and damp (maybe aircon not the right setting). And as a tennis fan, sincerely hope the courts would be covered all year long with air con in the future. And here’s hoping facilities maintenance especially the locker room and spa area would be top notch as I notice many DL clubs deteriorate quickly overtime in these areas - leaving the facilities damp and dirty.

Negative experience: Diamond membership is my level. Not sure it's worth it and pretty certainI'll NOT be renewing. Here's my take on it. Gym is pretty good. The water pressure on the drink water fountains are laughable in the gym, only one works properly. The outdoors pool should close family swim earlier. I understand that it's to be used by all, but if you want to try and relax on weekends or school holidays, it's not possible given that the pool could be used all day by families. 19:00 closing to families and children is too late. We were told that body pump and zumba runs multiple times a day almost every day, this not true. And the times these classes are available are not great for me or my partner and only limited times a week. We work very different hours and still struggle. Be nice if they actually included more of this instead of the inhouse classes which are OK but want the frequency of classes promised. We've resorted to using another gym that has much better variety and time schedules for popular classes like zumba and bodypump. The spa. Good facilities. Ice pool too small and doesn't get cold enough. Everyone is always queuing for the ice pool and it's temperature could really be a little colder. I've had much colder and bigger ice plunges in other gym and spa facilities far cheaper in the area. Noise levels. It can get very loud with users drinking and being overly loud. I wish it had tighter controls around noise levels The guest passes. The hidden fees. If you want your guests to have a guess pass you'll still need to pay for access to the spa, even though I have the most expensive membership. The gym itself is not that great that I'd bring someone just for gym access, when PureGym 5 minutes away has a better gym. Incredibly disappointing these additional fees. Spin classes. They're two types of spin classes, One of the spin classes is meant to be a fun music guided class, not a class where the instructors are shouting at you. However seen almost no difference between the classes. I am not interested in someone shouting at me, it should be passive motivation not shouting. Overall my verdict. Over priced with lack of the popular classes such as body pump and zumba running regularly. In my opinion spa should close 15 minutes before gym closure, not 30 minutes. During summer, the outdoor family swim should be limited to no kids after 15:00 not 19:00, or have an adult only pool. Spa is good but could be better. They're as good if not better gym and spa with 10/15 minutes drive. Verdict on diamond membership. My opinion, Don't get a diamond membership, there's very little perks from other memberships. I'd expect from a diamond membership compared to lower membership at minimum : Personal training discount More guest passes with spa access More discount to buying merchandise on site More classes available. Review update 2 weeks since review. No feedback or reach out from Kidbrooke. Invited a guest to a business meeting where we enjoyed Spa. Asked bar staff when kitchen last orders were, since no signage of when kitchen shuts. I was instructed the wrong time, which left me utterly embarrassed with my business client. When asking for refund or some kind of show of good faith, I was instructed that they'd have to take my details and get back to me. I'm continuing to be disappointed.

I usually visit the bar after and all staff are excellent but Joe always has a smile on his face and serves me my regular probably the best facilities in the area.

Negative experience: Molly gave me a good comprehensive tour round this facility. Would I join? Firstly no due to the cost so much more than my own gym and it is also so big I think I would be very shy there for a while Secondly it isn’t really for my age and experience since the old folk I saw seemed so much older and the young ones so much younger The pricing structure leaves nothing for someone there in the daytime only it is just the basics So thank you for the tour but I will not be joining up.

Negative experience: As a family we have decided not to renew our membership purely because the relentless price hikes they subject their members to. Over the course of two years our family membership (two adults and a 7 year old) has jumped by £1000pa!! We accepted the large increase last year when we were advised it was a one off, but it just seems like a regular pattern with no loyalty afforded to its current members. The staff are wonderful but it is a greedy corporation, and they’ll sign you up then hike the price at every opportunity.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym and the spa is lovely and it’s brilliant to have such great facilities on our doorstep. I love stealing a quiet chill afternoon in the cafe and Amber who works there always provides a warm and attentive service. Great place!
