Positive experience: Great parking. Seems to have very good all round facilities. Great looking pool. Busy place. Excellent local asset.

Negative experience: Always problems with water. When you play sports you will want a good shower afterwards, and there have been several times now that there is a problem with the water!!!!!

Positive experience: I just play football there, but it's a nice facility. It's Freedom leisure so you know, roughly, what to expect. Clean and well staffed. The pitches are cleared and we'll maintained. Thanks

Negative experience: The website isn’t kept updated with the actual opening times, frustrating when you’ve planned the day with kids around their timings. The fact that you can’t take children swimming after school unless they’re paying for swimming lessons is also very poor.

Positive experience: I was visiting as a party guest. The host didn't get everything ordered for the party , and booked extra time, then felt obligated to clear up early as another booking was waiting outside to use the same room as the finish time and start times were the same.

Positive experience: I have played squash and racketball here for many years. The staff invariably cheerful, People met on the court have been great to play against, several.have become good friends. Facilities could be better maintained.

Positive experience: Very busy when swimming, only two narrow lanes for swimmers , the majority of the pool does not support swimming lengths as it's packed with lots of children . Mentioned to desk staff the female changing is not very clean.

Positive experience: It's a small town gym at the end of the day so can't expect the world. It's fine. Memberships are quite pricey considering however, and half the machines are geriatric whilst the other half are broken.

Negative experience: Faulty equipment takes weeks to get fixed. Management not interested. Only 1 decent receptionist Claire.

Negative experience: Really not happy. Visitors to the area on very hot day. Rang leisure centre at 1.30pm to enquire about swimming as non members. Told no problem, open swim will cost £5.70 each we close at 4pm. Told staff we are few minutes away. On arrival at 1.45pm told swimming closing at 2pm. Thanks for wasting our time. Update reply does not help as we could have been told that on the phone or even when we arrived.

Fantastic experience: What a great day, thanks for allowing the triathlon to use the facilities. The hot chocolate was just what was needed when it was over!!

Fantastic experience: Pool and showers always warm - and so are staff. They keep it clean, smelling fresh and the receptionists are friendly and helpful. (Thank you for your kindness Clare!). These people bend over backwards to provide a vital service plus make a nice atmosphere. It's one the nicest leisure centres I've ever used.

Negative experience: Small and cramped Gym, average/normal customer service but extremely shocking when wanting to start or end a membership! Long, drawn out and expensive for the below average facilities! Need to sort themselves out.

Positive experience: Staff really helpful and polite. Gym as became very popular over last 12 months but missing basic equipment. No Smith machine or bicep curl preacher bench. Way too much cardio machines that are not needed. X2 cable pulley machines. Not needed. Lots of members have raised issues with basic equipment needed. Becomes a great gym. People are leaving or visiting Cinderford for the right equipment.

Positive experience: Very good teaching .Polite staff.Pool water looked clean. Changing room smelt stale,floor slimey,,generally dirty around the edges,cigarette butt in one corner.Slimey yellow stale floor between the pool and changing room,grids very dirty around the pool edge.This is what I could see what can't I see?Need for a good bottoming .

Positive experience: Very quiet and pleasant facility to use today but had a big issue 3 weeks ago with children being allowed to jump in feet first amongst other swimmers, I got kicked in the ribs. All totally unaddressed by the life guard. The centre tried to say the incident didn't happen, have asked for a meeting and they are now ignoring my emails. First time.e back today. Pool was empty so obviously no issues.

Negative experience: My wife called during the week to book a weekend swim for our 1 year old’s (1st swim) and to take my 8 year old. She was told ‘there’s no need book, you just turn up’. My wife arrived this morning and stood in the queue 5/10 mins with bags, floats & two kids while they served the people in front. Got to the desk to be told they’re at capacity. There was no mention of a limited number when my wife called and was told ‘just turn up’ or to be there by a certain time. They need a booking system if they’re going to do this because you can’t have families turning up expecting to swim after getting them ready standing in the queue only to disappoint them and say, “no, we’re at capacity”. The member of staff also said they could sit and wait to see if someone gets out. Yeah we’ll sit here waiting, while we watch everyone swim and hope someone gets out, oh and while waiting with a 1 year old. Common sense tells you that’s not an option.

Positive experience: It's okay, theres not many gyms in the forest so it does what is needed. It's good that theres a few sites so if you get bored of one you can go to another. The Cinderford site is the biggest and probably has the most equipment. Lydney one needs a few more bits, find it hard to work all of legs with no leg extension. There is also just one squat rack which is also difficult as mostly someone is on it. Some of the staff are friendly and welcoming but others can be a bit rude and I have been left waiting at reception while they have a chat a few times. Other than that the instructors are great and friendly. When classes are on these are always enjoyable and they have a good variety of classes (I would like to see yoga though!). The swimming pools are good and the newent site has a steam room, so that's my preferred one. Overall it's fine, although if another gym opened up nearby I'd probably join it for my fitness requirements.

Positive experience: Rectangular 25m pool. Good for practice, not a leisure pool. Friendly staff. Clean changing rooms (male, female and family facilities). Well equipped gym.

Fantastic experience: My friends and i go to aquarobic classes twice a week and as ladies of senior years we find it enjoyable and it keep us fit the staff are all ways friendly and helpfull.i would recommend it to anyone our instructor is understanding to everyone and Tailor's the class for anyone who has particular needs.

Negative experience: Do not send your children here for swimming lessons!!!! i had to drag my drowning daughter out of the pool myself while she was in the water with an instructor and less than three fret away from a "lifeguard" and after the incident the centre manager iona couldnt be any less caring if she tried!!!

Negative experience: Lacking basic equipment. Fitness/cardio centred gym . Minimal weights , 5 machines , 2 cables , 15/20+ cardio machines .

Positive experience: This is a fantastic place with outstanding Staff and people and some great facilities. There are courses both internal and external and events from outside as well. You can swim, run, gym, do classes, gymnastics and loads more and all in a great place. They offer some great Costa coffee there as well as drinks, ice creams, sports clothing and more. This is a great example of a well run leisure centre with great offers and loads of different activities

Fantastic experience: The changing rooms and surroundings are always clean and it's quite a warm pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and it 's not too expensive.
