Fantastic experience: Came in for a free trial this evening. Was shown around by a young lad. Made me feel well at home. Very informative and knew what he was talking about. Unfortunately couldn’t sign up as I don’t live in the area but would highly recommend it to anyone that does!

Fantastic experience: From the get go of signing up the staff was lovely, took their time to show us around and all equipment use. Asked for our goals to help us. From there every time I visit I feel really comfortable whatever time of day, really nice people in the gym and really comfortable to be able to get on with workouts. Always help from staff if needed. And such a great variety of equipment to use.would 100% recommend using this gym!

Negative experience: Ok for a temp gym. It's quite small which wouldn't be a problem if all the machines were working yet when I was there they had about 4 machines out of service for more than a month. Not worth the money.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. You're greeted immediately and made to feel part of the team with a lot of laughs. Wasn't able to meet the manager, she was apparently abroad filming for a TV show - can't wait to see the show air. She's definitely got the right staff in to look after the place whilst she's away though!

Fantastic experience: After being at a few local gyms I decided to move to anytime fitness and i absolutely love it, yes it's smaller compared to some other gyms,but I've never waited for a machine, there also cleaned after every use. the team go above and beyond to make all member feel welcome they also interact with all member offering help and guidance with everyones individual fitness journeysI really enjoy my workout more just because of this team and overall community they are building there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Negative experience: I do not recommend this gym to anyone because this gym is s scam, and I say this because 1. This gym is very dirty 2. When a machine isn't working they take ages ages 3. The cleaners do personal training for the customers and they have no qualifications to do so and they show them the exercises and theyre incorrect and not fully safe 4. The yre cheating with the contract and they don't tell you you're contract is about to end so they can get more money out of you 5. The gym itself is very small and very expensive compared to the other gyms in Portsmouth 6. They also never clean the equipment whereas in other gyms there cleaned every night. Also, before my contract ended they didn't tell me (on purpose) so they could charge me for another month (but I payed for 12 months which is the contract) and because they didn't tell me that the contract was about to end, Instead of £25 I they want £110. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM TO ANYONE!!!

Fantastic experience: Great membership price, always clean, staff helpful if you need help with any exercises/machines. Never busy either!

Negative experience: Got a day pass to try the gym out only got an emale saying thankyou for buying a day pass nothing els, when I got there there was no one there to let us in I hadn’t been send a code or anything to let us in so was locked out, tried ringing and no awnser went home in the end, awful set up and customer service

Positive experience: Good location, not very crowded, very polite staff. Facilities need a refresh as there are always machines out of service and taking weeks to be fixed.

Negative experience: Would give 0 stars if I could. They do not allow you access to collect your fob. Paying for a service I cannot use. Awful service.

Negative experience: Joined Anytime Fitness Cosham March 2022. Everything was rather up together and equipment good for the price of the membership. Over months of using this gym the facilities declined. Lots of broken equipment, lack of classes and just general wear and tear of the gym. Another local gym offered better facilities and more value for money so I decided to submit an end of membership request via email and online using their website (February 2023). Two months passed and I haven't heard about my membership request. As I assumed my year membership was at an end I cancelled my direct debit with the club. Then only to receive contact from the club to say there's a payment problem... I decided at this point to go into the club and talk to the manager about ending my membership in person. The manager said she couldn't authorise my memberships end until 31st of march 2023 and that the final payment would be taken in April 2023. I was happy with this as it left one calendar months notice. I then received a message that my last payment would be 1 May 2023.. not what the manager promised and extremely disappointing! I cancelled my direct debit again and yet again emailed anytime fitness regarding fees. I never received and communication other than chasing for my money and then got slapped with late fees... I paid because there was no option to leave a complaint or get in contact with anyone. Worst gym on record! Deceitful and terrible equipment... Beware!

Negative experience: If I can put zero stars I would. They are robbing military people. I have been trying to cancel my contract for almost 3 years now. I am RETIRED and don't even live in the state of VA anymore and Have been dealing with this company for almost 3 years. DO NOT COME TO THIS GYM!

Negative experience: Shocking management from this branch. Having signed up the staffing hours on several consecutive days (online and in store times differ) to try and get my FOB after signing up unsuccessfully. Several attempted calls and voicemails were left unreturned until another AF branch contacted them and my request was then cancelled. My contracts been cancelled within the cooling off period and they are advising me I need to pay the £40 for the remaining month. This is a T+C breach and the two emails I have sent and follow up calls have again gone unnoticed so I feel my only option is to put this review and avoid this particular AF branch. My experience with another branch has been wonderful and what I had expected from AF Cosham.

Negative experience: Awful customer service. No compassion and purely focused on money. Staff will gaslight you and your email won’t be answered after a month!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Negative experience: AWFUL EXPERIENCE WITH CANCELLATION! Gym purely focused on making money. My contract finishes 31/01. I have emailed to cancel due to relocation, reply after a month! But still messaging that I have canceled my direct debit instruction from my bank. Also has threatened me and my husband that they will incur charges as I have canceled my direct debit instruction from my bank! They didnt try that hard on making appointments with you for checking as a first joiner but will bombard you with messages once you cancel your direct debit and even threaten you. I will not consider in the future and will find other gyms in other places NOT an anytime fitness!

Positive experience: Good gym to train to not busy

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, compact, friendly, well staffed who are on hand to help you with workout, confidence, dietary requirements, anything and everything. It's one where you can go anytime with your card to open the door, although it's only staffed during the day.

Fantastic experience: Well I did my last session in anytime fitness cosham today..been using this gym for 9 weeks as I work away from home..it’s been great to use this gym as it has great equipment and well looked after.the people who use the gym are friendly.Shawna is fantastic and always gives you a big welcome every time you arrive.and very helpful.keep up the good work Shawna. On to the next anytime fitness. Hope to see you again if I’m working back down here.

Fantastic experience: Great gym

Negative experience: I haven't stepped inside this gym due to a change of work circumstances causing me to change to a more convenient gym but I can tell this is a business purely focused on making money and not caring about the customers. Been 2 weeks since I put in a cancellation request and I'm yet to receive the refund I'm entitled to as per their T&Cs. Have had to constantly chase for it but keep getting excuses about having to chase different parts of the company. I'm sure this is a lovely gym (it certainly looks like it from the outside) but the company's ethics will mean I'll never go there. Especially when there's cheaper and bigger gyms within a mile. 04/01/21 update: I've just been debited for the membership I cancelled almost a month ago. Probably looking at another 2 week+ battle to get this refunded. Seriously, avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this gym, it is a really friendly gym , the staff are welcoming and and helpful and supportive, I’ve been made to feel like a valued member. I would also recommend Raj as a Pt trainer as the support and encouragement she gives me really helps make a difference and she goes the extra mile to help me. Thank you to all the staff for making me feel like I belong.

Fantastic experience: Lovely clean, airy gym. Great staff, Raj really helped me to rejuvenate my workouts focusing on strengthening my dodgy hip. Really enjoy the gym now and am looking forward to trying the 360 connect class. Thanks Raj

Fantastic experience: Took part in Kane's Boxing class and it was fun. The facilities are nice and clean and the staff are friendly. The Personal Trainers Kim and Jack are helpful and thier classes are just as enjoyable
