Negative experience: -Weights everywhere other than the place they’re supposed to be -Broken toilets -Not seen a cleaner once in my 2 weeks of coming here, perhaps I miss them as i go early afternoon, but probably shows they don’t clean for very long -Lacks key machines

Positive experience: It's one of the better puregyms with some features u won't find in others. Clientele is usual a few juice monsters surrounded by noobs. If I could I'd pay more and go to a better gym, but it's close so needs must.

Fantastic experience: My number 1 gym is Salford but I tried Eccles today and it’s nice great gym very clean everything working nice atmosphere will use again

Positive experience: I am a student and I live in Eccles. I am happy with the gym because it is close by and there is free parking. Additionally, there is a Lidl and Home Bargains where I can buy protein. The gym is clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Nice gym I only go in after work, which is early hours of the morning. Pretty quite so no waiting for equipment. Have been in the day very busy as with most commercial gym. But great offers

Positive experience: Well equipped gym with lots of space to accommodate a reasonable crowd of people per time. Also open 24 hours daily which is quite convenient for even working class people. The environment is safe so you can walk in even at midnight. I think they need more staff on the floor. It's quite frustrating that you need assistance and you hardly see any one to help out. It's happened lots of times. Hardly anyone at the front desk. Once I had to go searching everywhere before I could find a staff member sitting in their restricted area office, after moving around for almost an hour looking for a staff member to assist. A gym of such magnitude should have staff to help in case of any emergencies.

Negative experience: Bad experience went there and they have this lady hogging the stairs machine on it for nearly 2 hrs while the other is broken people pay money to use the gym if she wanted to stay that long should of go find actually stairs to walk on she’s literally stopping resting and keep starting over which makes no sense Went to the workers they told me nothing they can do

Positive experience: Good gym overall, especially being local, It is not far for me to travel, so pretty convenient, consistently busy throughout the day, so if you train before work, on dinner, or after work, expect it to be busy, early hours in the morning is where it is quiet, so if you like your peace to train, I would suggest going then, i like all the machine and free weights, only frustrating thing is the vitamin water machine is currently out of order and has not yet been fixed, hopefully, it does soon as I miss my pineapple and coconut vit water. :D

Fantastic experience: The best classes the best instructors

Positive experience: The gym is nice and well kept. Some of the machinery does need some TLC and I often find that some of them feel as if they need some Q20. Staff members are ok. Some are friendly and others are just on their phones by this little podium the whole time. Would be nice if they added back the Saturday yoga as well.

Negative experience: Not one to go to as a woman, especially if you've not got a 'perfect' gym body. Uncomfortable atmosphere by a lot of creepy guys, or just guys taking up a lot of space to look at / talk about other people in the gym. Made me feel like crying on several occasions

Negative experience: Lousy gym... my previous gym was also puregym, the one in Salford. I was paying £16.99 a month the gym is great, big, well equipped, machines in good condition, very clean. this Eccles puregym is a shame, very small, we cannot train well as machines are crowded due to lack of space, the machines are in a sorry state.... some of them make a lot of noise... there is no variety of machines at all, equipment is very deteriorated. changing rooms/shower/locker very small. lack of cleanliness. Bad gym, you should at least lower the high price of £22.99, it's not fair to pay that monthly fee for a gym with such lousy services.

Positive experience: I loke this gym but i do not like to go during the day because the men are too pervy so i go at night and the changing rooms are never open to shower or get changed in which makes no sense as other gyms do not do this also if it is that time of the month there should be a seperate space for women to go and change and wash it never used to be like this last year but in the new year it seems to have changed i do not get why they cannot put somwbody on the top floor as hygene is a must for alot of people especially women.!

Positive experience: I really like this gym for the layout, the facilities and the convenient location. You can go at any time which is also great. The problem seems to be with certain types hogging weights equipment. They'll spend ages messing about with a mobile or looking at themselves in the mirror, preventing other people who have also paid from using the equipment. This is an ongoing problem. It seems to be a bit of a power game for some people. Could the staff politely remind people to be considerate to other paying users? It seems some people use this as a hangout in which to pose rather than train.

Positive experience: Like all Pure gyms everything is spaced out and not there isnt masses of equipment so you do have to wait a bit when it gets busy. The day pass also seems to have gone up a quid recently and so that's getting pricey. Overall it's OK

Fantastic experience: Best Gym left my earphones in the gym about 2 weeks ago i seen the manager today as i was walking out he was about to get in his car straight away offered to go back inside the Gym and check for me thanks to the person that handed them in thanks to David the manager great guy.

Negative experience: During the evenings over peak times it’s hard enough to try and get on a machine as it is but when you’ve got a personal trainer (Seda) hogging two leg machines at the same time for her client it is not on. Making people wanting to use the machine wait while her client finishes her 6 sets between the 2 machines is totally selfish and inconsiderate. I’m pretty sure just because you work at the gym doesn’t give you priority on the machines over the gym members. If this is the case then I’ll be training elsewhere.

Negative experience: Don't wait to change your clothes after 00am. The clothes rooms will be closed at this time.

Negative experience: Still can't buy membership, no one to help, no customer service. You can't phone them, you have to wait for someone for a day until they answer on social media. Even if they reply all they offer is 'apologies, does the problem still occur?' speak to your bank, do this and this and this and that and then let us know. All checked and as the bank said - it's problem within puregym.

Negative experience: The young blonde receptionist at the front desk is one of the rudest person I met in my life. Human Resources should do a better job hiring qualified professional personnel. I don't think she could handle a job selling hot dogs...

Negative experience: Need a better way of recording who attends classes - I have attended classes and then received emails saying I haven't attended and then get blocked from attending classes for 8 days! It is also impossible to contact anyone at the gym to get this resolved. Not impressed so far

Negative experience: I train at another gym and my wife decided to use PureGym as a stepping stone into getting fit and tone up. I brought her here for the first time to teach her how to use the machines and on taking her through a training plan a PT gave her it was disappointing to see that she wasn't able to do 4 of the exercises in the first 2 days of me taking her in. Leg Extensions machine upstairs was out of order. Shoulder Press machine downstairs was out of order. Pads for the bars were nowhere to be seen for glute Bridge exercise. I asked a member of staff about resistance bands and I got told "there may be some in the box but if not they'll be around the gym somewhere." As oppose to helping me look for some i may aswell have got the response "go look for it yourself" In total I've been 4 times with her and not once have I seen members of staff walking round wiping machines down, wiping mats down, wiping the benches. None of the staff let on or say "hi how are you?" It's like they're there to fill some hours but do nothing in that time. No professionalism in the gyms at all.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, got every piece off equipment you could need. I go at off peak time (usually after 10p.m) Never waiting around for equipment.

Positive experience: No staff I've ever seen but a perfectly good gym and very reasonably priced. Free parking, individual showers, open 24hrs and a decent selection of equipment. - I train overnight so I don't know if it gets too busy.

Negative experience: They moved units in the retail park and this one is much smaller so the pictures online are out of date at the moment. The new space is too cramped, you have exercise machines along the corridors and people bump into you as you're trying to work out. Free weights section very small/cramped. In general just not very well designed, I've moved to the Exchanhe Quay one.

Negative experience: While the facilities at PureGym are generally okay, the sanitation system is disappointing. The cleaning solution dispensers are often empty, and the system itself seems old.This lack of proper hygiene maintenance is a real concern, especially in a gym setting. PureGym needs to address this issue to ensure a cleaner and safer environment for its members.

Negative experience: The staff are not helpful one bit it's packed every morning no social distancing staff are more like models than people their to help

Positive experience: Nice new facilities, clean gym, nice staff. Would be 5 star but its too busy. The gym has only just moved to this new space but it feels like it needs to expand again already

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service, I signed up 3 years ago and just left as I'm moving house. During covid they offered plenty of freeze time on my account. Cancelled through their own procedure and all was fuss free and I would sign up again without hesitation.

Negative experience: This gym is really bad during peak times. I'm a worker and I travel all over the country and I use pure gym all the time and I'm happy with all pure gyms except for this one. During the covid pandemic , cleaning is high priority as we all know. This pure gym at its peak time ran out of tissue and cleaning spray to clean theqchines after ourselves. Meaning no one was cleaning the equipment down after themseleves. The gym was so busy everyone was on a machine or bench. There is no bike or running machine either but wasn't really bothered just for people who go there to expect there to be one.
