Fantastic experience: Nice selection of classes, from zumba, pirates, spin, to bodypump, body balance or combat. Lovely instructors, tasty food, swimming pool with slides and gym. Worth paying a visit.

Positive experience: Didn't go in myself, just dropping granddaughter off for gymnastics class. Looks pretty good though.

Positive experience: Good for taking my young son (4yr) swimming, really good toddler pool with lots to play with and 2 water slides. Really helpful staff. Great weekend activity.

Positive experience: It is a fairly well sourced gym with a pool and lessons although the timings of things are not the best for working people

Fantastic experience: We visit here weekly for my sons swimming lessons which he thoroughly enjoys thanks to the staff here. We also come here when we can for a family swim. My toddler loves it and the small pool is kept nice and warm so it's my go to choice considering we have one closer.

Fantastic experience: Great place for everyone with different ages, massive swimming pool and also pool for the kids and little ones, sauna and steam room also jacuzzi for muscle relax, gym its class you have weight for big boys and also its section for cardio huge place with mats which judo people could train, and boxing bag for all material arts. Plenty room for everyone one of the best public gym in blenau gwent.

Positive experience: Coffee was absolutely abhorrent but what do you expect when they're serving Costa coffee. With out doubt the worst coffee chain in Tue high street like piss. The pool is ok and the kids enjoyed it. Tue prices in Tue cafe are ludicrous for what u get. Which is below average. Service is awful. Tue staff don't want to be there. And it cost nearly £20 for 3 kids swimming. Ridiculous.

Positive experience: Child pool a bit cold but facilities were good

Negative experience: Pool nice but lacking diving boards like old pool did. Half of lockers not working and missing bands, dirty (look at air vents supply and extract in changing rooms) - no maintenance people employed here?

Negative experience: Considering this isn’t a particularly old leisure centre it really needs some improvement. We have only been to the parent and toddler swim sessions so can’t comment on any other facilities but a few areas for improvement are: Loads of lockers are unavailable as there are no keys or they are broken. The showers by the entrance to the pool are too hot for babies The baby pool hasn’t always been heated sufficiently when we have visited The flushes were not working properly and the tap was leaking when in use in the cafe toilets On a positive note the staff are all lovely and very helpful

Fantastic experience: Swimming area is great wirh a slide and a fountain. Sports hall is pretty good with great seating, its a little small though for bigger competitions. Cafe is good and reasonably priced. Free multi story next to building also

Fantastic experience: Each weekday morning I use the facilities of the sports centre. The building, changing rooms and showers are always warm and clean and the equipment always works well. Most importantly, the atmosphere amongst the staff and other patrons is always welcoming and friendly. After a hard workout, my wife and I use the cafe and enjoy a relaxing and well earned cup of tea. I highly recommend the sports centre and look forward to my visits each day.

Negative experience: Pool is too small and never open (also cold)

Fantastic experience: We went to the toddler and parent swimming session today for the first time and we all had a lovely time! The toddler pool was warm and had lots of things to do, it wasn't too deep but plenty big enough to swim around in. The hour session was long enough as our little one was getting cold and the changing rooms were good, easy access and plenty of room. The only criticism I could give is that the showers weren't great and could do with an upgrade but it wouldn't stop us going back again.

Fantastic experience: I took my 4 year old daughter swimming at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre, she absolutely loved it! We spent well over 2 hours in the water, which was nice and warm. The water slides were great fun, we must of climbed the stairs to the top of the slides 50 times, which wore us both out. The staff were friendly and helpful, the changing rooms and facilities were clean. The cafe was also good. A really good value day out!

Positive experience: Good place I was a bit bummed out I couldnt get a cup of tea as the cafe was shut early but other then that it's a good place for exercise and play football.

Negative experience: I visited with my grandchildren and found the changing rooms were really disgusting! In one family changing room a dirty nappy was left on the floor and in another was a discarded punnet of chips, which were all over the floor and generally it all felt smelly and unclean, with bins flowing over! Such a shame as the pool was lovely.

Positive experience: I moved to ebbw vale 18 months ago. This is now my local pool. My 7 Yr old has his swimming lessons here. Changing rooms are always clean and bins emptied. The lockers could do with a bit of repair a few aren't working or some have the blue strap missing so it's hard having somewhere to secure the key. On swimming lesson days I find it so annoying some parents instead of using lockers will leave all their children's clothes and bags in cubicles so a few times my boy have had to change out in the open bit just stood next to our locker. Food is always cooked quick, tastes lovely and a good price. I now have a 14 week old baby, things have changed since I had my now 10 Yr old and 7yr old.. nhs guidelines say a 14 week old can go swimming but pool must be 32 degrees. I did take her and asked the pool temp for that day it was 30 degrees. I took her she loved it .. even fell asleep in there . During summer the free sessions have been booked everytime I have rang and I've ended up spending over £80 so far in public swims. Also when I bring the boys on weekend we don't want to use slides but you get charged for them regardless. Also tip, park in car park . I had a fine for parking outside last week . *Update* not much change since last review. Will be swimming tomorrow though. Also Tuesday 6pm to 8pm understand 16's free swim. Cafe is still open just have use a different entrance. The slides are possibly having work done as these are not in use at the moment. I went to a baby yoga class this week which was brilliant .

Negative experience: Oh my gosh, no joke it was freezing. Bank Holiday trip to the swimming pool, my babies first ever swim and it was FREEZING!! We made the most of it until my children's lips started going blue then it was time to leave. We went straight to the showers to warm up, it was so cold.

Negative experience: Dreadfully run leisure centre. They limit pool use due to covid restrictions then pack the cafe (where ironically you're more likely catch covid) with people waiting for the next swim session. The cafe by the way is closed so so can't even have a drink while you wait. This isnt the first time weve been left scratching our heads with Ebbw Vale leisure centre and staff on the desk are often rude too.

Negative experience: Shame netball league don't let parents watch after driving all that way 2 take child to play in their team,infact rude WEN questions about this raised.

Fantastic experience: The food here is absolutely exceptional. The price is perfect. £3.50 for a succulent BBQ Baguette, with lovely crispy chips and a nice can of Fanta. Incredible! Honestly me and my friends come here not for the facilities which are probably amazing, but just for the food. Leis food > McDonalds, Greggs and spoons. Also a quick shoutout to Sam Price the goat.

Fantastic experience: Frustrating that still having to book sessions online but understandable at present. I have had no issues with booking the time slots I want and the gym feels airy and spacious, only 30 people max allowed. The staff clean frequently as a covid preventative measure, its a shame that some users can't follow simple wipe down rules. If you want to use the equipment then give them a wipe down after. The facilities are excellent; cafe, swimming pool, clean shower and changing facilities, most classes you would expect and the gym not full of heavy loose weights, good amount of cardio machines. I'm glad I joined, 5 stars from me.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this pool! Finally found one where my daughter is totally relaxed in enough to begin to swim! Love the gradual slope for little ones which gets about 1 foot deep around the corner perfect for getting them used to floating and swimming. Also has lots of water falls and jets and abundance of resources for floating and playing with!

Negative experience: Worst cafe I have ever visited when I asked about the special the assistant grunted. "Steakbake" she seemed reluctant for me to order one saying it will 20 minutes, 10 minutes later she served 3 regulars with the same meal.. Very clicky

Positive experience: Great swimming facilities especially the toddler pool. Ive been twice - I was overcharged for a family ticket on my first visit and also not informed about 24hr cancellation policy which cost me the price of a child swim on my second visit.

Fantastic experience: This is a greats sports centre. There is a large swimming pool, kids pool and supertubes, classes, a gym with the latest equipment and sports fields. They offer many classes for adults and kids. My kids have swimming lessons and taekwondo lessons there, while my partner and I make use of the gym. Reasonably priced, very clean and well looked after. A genuine bonus for the town.

Positive experience: My friend and I went there for a sauna last week and were not impressed. The sauna cost £6.50 which we thought was really expensive. The area leading to the sauna was in a poor state of repair and the car park stank of cannabis and urine.

Positive experience: Good selection of activities here. Swimming pool. Gym. 4g pitches and so on. Good cafe with cheap decent food for the kids after they've been swimming or to Gymnastics class.

Positive experience: We went there for a swim from child hood old memory of mine of the old ebbw leisure centre was disappointed comparing the old one with the new. No dive boards not that deep. Pool was cold not much for children if you don't pay for hydro.
