Everlast Gyms - Merthyr Tydfil

Fantastic experience: Been a member of this gym for sometime, have had a lot of new equipment in recently and makes the gym much better, love the pool, sauna and steam room especially after a good workout

Positive experience: Great gym for equipment and the pool/sauna/steamroom. The changing room is spacious and well equipped too. However I do have a massive gripe with the terrible banging dance music played every day and night. I usually take headphones in and they're louder than that! Worst thing is you can hear the music in the pool as well where it's supposed to be a relaxing place. Please either turn it down, change the music up a bit or stop it playing in the swimming area completely

Negative experience: The Gym itself is decent but what I and a lot of People have been experiencing with this Gym is the inconsistency with opening and closing times. They never update their time.

Negative experience: Just been back there after was dw when it was really good friendly and a lot of energy. The place has gone really down hill. The equipment is outdated and it looks dirty. I didn’t see any cleaners the staff were uninspiring and I was not allowed to shower as they wanted to go home. Terrible place rough stinking and not friendly at all. You’re forced into having a twelve month contract for £30 a month otherwise a rolling contract is £40 !! Shuts at 6 now on Saturday and Sunday and 9 on a Friday hurry up pure gym that’s what I say !!!

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, good kit, friendly staff and a nice pool.

Positive experience: Gym spaced out well and good range of equipment. However some runners need upgrading as the main ones on a platformed area are sometimes unsteady & bouncy. Music played relatively loud which motivates. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: It's fantastic, the gym, pool, staff and PTs are all outstanding. It is packed full of equipment and there's always someone to help if you need it. So glad I joined.

Negative experience: UPDATE: Just went back for a one off as my new gym was inaccessible - waited at the desk for a bit while staff were playing on their phones within sight. Just walked out. Pathetic. Has a sauna but super outdated apart from that. Weights that stick to the bar (just grease the bar ends if you don't want to buy new weights...), OLD weight clips that no other gym I've been to in last 5 years use. Staff doesn't refill the paper towels AT ALL overall worst gym in the area for one of the highest costing memberships! Pretty disappointed all round. Cheapest everything for the most monthly cost. The gym that time forgot!

Fantastic experience: Went in yesterday ( first time in Merthyr Tydfil) and was greeted by the warm staff. Bring a customer from Cardiff, I wasn’t too sure about how to visit another site as my membership had been frozen but the staff were super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Just like to say thank you as it can be daunting going into a new area by yourself and it’s simple , kind interactions like these that really help. Thank you again.

Negative experience: Hottest gym in Merthyr, if your looking to work out in a crammed sauna with no air con this is the place for you!

Positive experience: Something always seems broke. Pool sauna stream room. Staff are friendly. Members are not treated great. As a customer and paying the wages. I wouldn't go there if there was an cheaper alternative

Fantastic experience: I've been training here for the last 3 months now and it's definitely one of the better gyms I've trained in over the years. The membership price of £30 a month is a good price for this gym - especially as it has a sauna and swimming pool. There's plenty of weights and different machines there, for most exercises. Also, I like the fact that it's a big gym and doesn't get too crowded in there.
