Positive experience: The gym is good. But one thing there is very strange i found, a weight machine inside men’s changing area. And you need to pay 1.50£ to check your weight for 1 time..Seriously, is this really puregym ,, i find this really unfair and redicolous. Please provide a weight machine without pay, thanks

Fantastic experience: Nice simple efficient and ergonomic.

Negative experience: Toilets are terrible, never no toilet paper, dirty sink, design is terrible when washing and drying hands you hands touch the dirty sink or walls. Cleaning paper and spray in the gym is always empty. Paper towels left around the gym on the floors and equipment. No staff present on some days mostly weekends. Worse pure gym Ive been to.

Fantastic experience: I love the place, great ambiance

Negative experience: Always busy with a lot of people just sitting on the equipment like a park bench to play on their phones and even after doing my session on another machine, I come back to find that they're still on the same machine playing on their phones.

Fantastic experience: One of the better pure gyms. Clean, not too busy in off peak hours and well located with parking and shopping.

Fantastic experience: Highly convenient. Loads of equipment with a large, closed off space for classes which can be used as additional floor space if a class isn't running. Open 24/7 so you can go whenever suits you. Lots of free parking nearby too. Great value for money.

Negative experience: Decent size gym sometimes can get busy and for some reason some people that come to this gym especially now are rude and aggressive for no reason when you ask questions politely honestly might switch gym due to amount of people in the gym and the attitude and vibe of the other people i wouldn’t recommend for busy people or people who want to get a session without any interaction

Positive experience: Is the gym 24 hours? I tried to go after my night shift at 2am but the door was closed. Could you please put the correct hours.

Negative experience: 1 floor, packed out all the time, the cable machines are missing loads of the handles, it's ridiculously packed and you have to time it to actually get a structured workout in. Move to a location with more room! So ridiculously packed out and I look like a weirdo checking to see if people are done on Machines every five minutes. Waste of money I may aswell do push ups at home and get some dumbbells, on the plus side the staff are nice.

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped and relatively clean with ample free parking. Unfortunately it's always very busy at peak times (it is open 24/7 though) It seems most members spend more time on their phones / making videos than actually using the equipment. That's a pain if you want to crack on with a workout and the piece of equipment you need is "occupied"

Positive experience: Great gym with everything you need and more, friendly atmosphere and good showers. Well worth the money

Positive experience: The below still apply but improvements have been made. So increasing to three stars. Honestly, not the best gym in the area and always too busy. Areas of the gym designed for particular exercises are always being used incorrectly and staff say / do nothing, i.e. the sledge area gets used for everything but sledges.

Positive experience: Great medium sized gym, standard equipment and very friendly staff. I recomend buying your own rope and grip handles worth about £15 for both as people keep stealing them from the gym... cannot understand why.

Positive experience: This review is more for my personal trainer Hayley Baw, she is just fantastic and so professional. I remember when I joined the gym and was looking for a trainer. I attended one of her pump class, the way she conducted the class I knew she is the one to go for. I have been training with her for a while, she really makes me train hard, advises the right workouts considering I have a back problem and invests herself with me. She is driven, hard working and always motivates me at every step. So if you are looking for personal training she is the one to go for. The gym is good, well quipped, close to my house and car park facility always helps. The only downside is, it’s usually very crowded in the evenings but that’s the time I get to train after work.

Fantastic experience: All I can say is if you want the best PT EVER then see Sy Thornton-Fry. She is unreal and so bloody lovely. She will help you all the way to what you want to achieve. Her classes are amazing. I am now doing an online programme with her and my training plan is unreal. I can see my body changing and I feel amazing. Love you sy!!! You will not be disappointed she really does know what she is talking about and will point you in the right direction to give you the body you want

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy being a member of this gym. Yes it’s quite small compared to other pure gyms so it gets busy at peak times but I am always able to get my workout done and get booked for the classes I love. Sy has been my trainer for the last year and in that time I have grown stronger & more confident. I would recommend her to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Been using PureGym for almost 2 years it’s a great gym with lots of equipment. I use Sy as a personal trainer here and she is amazing very friendly, gives lots of good advice and provides a perfect varied workout every single time.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! I have been training with Sy (one of the lovely female PT’s) for a couple of years now and I couldn’t recommend her more! I started as a complete beginner with little to no knowledge on gym equipment and feel really confident with it all now. I have also completed some of Sy’s shred workouts and they have been challenging but achievable and have really helped me to reach goals I didn’t think would be possible. If you’re nervous about starting PT sessions, training with sy is like training with a friend, she goes above and beyond to make sure each workout is tailored to your specific needs and you always have a laugh during them too, the gym doesn’t have to be scary! All staff are very welcoming ☺️

Sy takes time to talk to each member before the class and is very friendly and welcoming and will go the extra mile to help offer advice where needed. Positive experience: Underground parking at west gate - First 4 hours are free is a winner. Noticed gym had a bit of a smell on arrival, realised soon after it was the bathroom’s… Bring a gas mask or something to help if you need to use the men’s bathroom. *only reason for 3 stars… Morrisons is opposite the gym if you want a sneaky shop after or before gym. I’ll probably be back, fingers crossed it’s cleaner next time

Negative experience: I was told by a manager to leave the studio in the middle of foam-rolling because he was about to start a class for 3 people. I was never interrupted in the middle of exercise before in other branches and there was never a problem if the class has started before I finished stretching out. I could’ve fit in easily in the corner without a problem as there was plenty of space. Also, the studio isn’t even private, everybody in the gym can see what’s going on there thought the grid. Outrageous. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that this tiny branch charges more comparing to other bigger branches. The gym is packed even at 6.30 am, I had to skip some of my exercises due to lack of free equipment. Luckily, I signed up yesterday, so won’t need to be going here for entire month. I’ll undergo till end of September and will never come back again.

Positive experience: You know what you're getting when you train at any of the Pure Gym locations. The machines are always relatively modern as well as the free weights on offer. However, my only gripe with the franchises are that they are too popular and during peak times, it's rare that you can get on the machine you want to use without having to wait. Apart from this, PureGym are always a great place to train.

My only qualm is that at night the tinted windows obviously aren't as effective as during the day, so everyone walking past the gym can see me struggling to squat But I quickly got used to that! Would be nice to have another more private area/side rooms similar to the Camberley branch, but it's a much smaller gym so no bother

Positive experience: Even though it's really small compared to other pure gyms I have been, I love how clean all pure gyms are. That's very important. I would give 4 stars to the hygeine standards. In the afternoon, there is no way you can use this gym. It's so crowded and small that you literally cannot use it. Mornings are great. Now the important question: Why is the heating on during week days and off during the weekend? It's a huge difference in the temperature. I don't understand. It would be nice to keep it on during weekends as well. Please do not ask me to approach the manager about it. Staff is not always there and I made this review so you can use my feedback and improve. Please talk to the manager yourself. Thank you

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible PureGym and makes training a chore rather than a hobby. Regardless of the time of day, the gym is always over crowded and constantly queuing for equipment. I travel a lot with work and use various PureGyms across the country. This is by far the smallest and busiest I have seen. A serious upgrade is needed or alternatively another gym situated in Aldershot area. Can’t get my head around paying a higher premium than other locations that have a better user experience.

Fantastic experience: I moved to this gym recently and could not be happier. The gym is really well kitted out and has all you need. I would recommend using the app to find the right time to go, as with all gyms it can get busy. But the live tracker in the app helps with this a lot

Fantastic experience: I want to give a special shout-out to Sy, one of the staff members and PTs. She is amazing. I've had her as a PT for a few months now and I've seen so many positive changes in my body and my behaviours. I've had PTs in the past, but honestly none come up to par with her. She is the most lovely person, so bubbly and always full of energy. I was so so nervous about coming back to the gym, I was so out of practice and my fitness levels had dropped massively. Sy was so understanding of this, listened to all my concerns and what I wanted to achieve. I chose her for a few reasons, as we have similar backgrounds (dance/gymnastics) and I am so glad I did. Over our sessions she's learnt what I respond well to and the kind of workouts I enjoy and creates my workouts accordingly - that to me is a great sign of a great PT. Because of her I've achieved a few personal goals that may seem insignificant to others, but are a huge deal to me. She's always pushing me to do better and to be my best, all while letting me know that if I'm too anxious or uncomfortable we can just move to a different spot. I used to hate coming to the gym and it always filled me with anxiety, but now I really look forward to coming and actually can't wait for my sessions! She is also incredibly professional - Yes we have a little chat and a laugh here and there, but she makes sure I get the work done, no excuses. There have also been a few times when we have been training and someone has come over to ask/tell her something. Sy always explains politely that she is not on shift, but is with a personal client. Not once has she ever been rude. From a clients perspective, I really appreciate this and respect the professionalism - It is so frustrating that other gym goers interrupt; this is something I am paying for, and this is the PTs job. You can clearly see that they are with someone, leave them be. The on shift staff members are clearly noticeable by their light blue shirts, and are usually around the front desk area - These are the people you should be speaking to! Overall I am so happy with PureGym, I love coming here and it's made me enjoy working out again. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Negative experience: Ive had to cancel my membership today due to a member of staff (Dean) telling me I'm not allowed to sit and wait quietly while staring at my phone, for a specific piece of equipment (prone leg curl) to become available (approx 1130). Direct quote "Cant you just use something else?". Meanwhile the middle aged male member stretches his chest out while using a lower limb machine to monopolise more time. This is 1 week into a full months membership. It's a shame that the 2 or 3 PTs that take care of themselves there won't reach their potential in the industry due to the short sighted behaviour of others keeping potential members from joining an environment like this.

Negative experience: Disappointed. I've used pure gym accross the UK as travel for work but this was the worst yet. I was excited to have one open nearer to where I work most but it was small with equipment crammed in so had little space to manoeuvre. I probably went in at the worst time although it was after 1930hrs, it was packed. So busy I could not achieve the workout sets I had planned. I thought this would be a bigger gym than Camberley but it wasn't. I really hope there are plans to extend as the thing I loved about Pure gyms I've visited elsewhere was the space and equipment available.... And that was pre covid! Seriously considering cancelling membership with this being my home branch

Negative experience: Staff are unfriendly and extremely unprofessional, One of the worst experiences in a gym Iv had in my life. I have been a personal trainer for 10 years and worked in both commercial and private gyms and I can safely say the staff here are some of the worst I have ever come across.

Negative experience: Went to pure gym today. Was worst experience. No welcome on arrival. Ignored by staff. There was alot of equipment. I'm experienced in gym. Looking around alot of people using bad form. No staff stopping to help them. Couple people I stepped in to help was worried they injure themesles. Apparently people didn't have induction or shown equipment. Staff to busy on the laptops to say buy. No staff seen clean the equipment much.

Fantastic experience: Always a good experience here, the staff are friendly and approachable. There are all levels of fitness folk and great equipment. Bit warm today though, whack up that air con!

Fantastic experience: I've just joined and attended the gym for the first time on a Sunday morning. Staff were extremely friendly, gave me a brief rundown of where the changing rooms, water fountain etc were. Lots of equipment so no problem with finding a free machine to use. Cleanliness was excellent, I was a little apprehensive to see what's in place due to COVID, however there are cleaning stations to clean your equiptment/machines before and after use, as well as staff consistently cleaning throughout the day. Overall it's great value for money compared to other gyms in the area (free parking also closeby which helps massively)
