ONE LDN | Gym & Functional Fitness Space

Fantastic experience: This is gym is by far the best I have experienced in South-West London. They have recently upgraded their facilities with new equipment and a brand new ice-bath. The staff there are very friendly and cheerful. Big shout out to Ramon Clarke though who showed me a few fitness tips. He was so kind and easy to speak with. Showed real empathy when I was working out using one of the machines incorrectly haha. In addition, they have these amazing classes which I joined recently called HYROX but they have plenty of other classes depending on what your goals are. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for real gains with fun vibes. It's a family type gym. Everyone's seems to know each other. 10/10

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointed! Traveled over an hour to experience this new gym for me to be disappointed by a piece of paper saying “under maintenance”. This could’ve been prevented with some sort of notice in which they could’ve put on their social media or website! I even called the gym and no answer. Missed out on a potential member due to lack of professionalism.

Positive experience: Great Gym, great equipement. was down staying at a hotel near by. needed a work out, great facilities, good cross fit and olympic weightlifting selection as well as lifting platforms.

Fantastic experience: Over the past year, I have visited this club daily. As there are one or two reviews here suggesting the “crowd” here is cliquey/unfriendly, I have this to say: the reality , as I have personally witnessed , is rarely have I come across a group of such hard working and highly motivated individuals as at this club. Sure, the club does compare differently with other gyms in other important areas, but on this point let’s be quite clear, there is a mere whiff of posy here, but overwhelmingly and mostly strikingly , a lot hard work being done .

Negative experience: For a while it was a good gym with classes that are not just "fat burning" but actually useful like Muay Thai and Weight lifting. However the gym was in a perpetual state of disrepair with the lifting platforms being covered in duck tape or in the case of this one, the pads were coming out. It was not worth that much and the only way to access weights around 7 pm was to go to the classes. While I was there they did nothing about the lifting platforms and took months on end to fix the entrance gate and men's sauna.

Negative experience: I really regret staying at your hotel. You deducted twice the hotel cost from my account. I came to your hotel about this and talked to Mr. Ali at the reception. My money, which you said would be refunded within 5 business days at the latest, has still not been returned to my account. I urgently want the extra $3,742 you withdrew from my account to be deposited into your account. 2 weeks have passed and you neither return my emails nor refund the money. please reply immediately

Fantastic experience: I was on London for a trip and tried different gyms around the area I stayed, including this one and it was exceptional! I honestly rated the day I went to this gym as overall happier than others due to this gym because OMG they had dogs in the gym

Fantastic experience: I‘ve been a member at this gym since I moved to London, and I’ve had an incredible experience with some of their classes, Crossfit, yoga, and Pilates. The community spirit here is amazing, with everyone being so friendly. The best part is that it's never too crowded, so you can always have a comfortable workout experience. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive fitness community.

Fantastic experience: OneLdn is by far the best gym I have ever been to. the high quality equipment and the brilliant trainers is perfect for every standard of gym goer but what really sets the gym a part from the many others that I have tried is the fantastic and motivating atmosphere. There is a real sense of community in OneLdn, a sense of community that I have never experienced in any other gym. 10/10.

Negative experience: Most of time the shower has cold water and sauna not working. The Front of house staff are always busy doing their personal chit chat and not customer focused. Most of time you cant do your workout as classes are taking place or some PT doing training at peak times. Also have a lot of ppl wasting time at machines doing their tiktok/insta videos !

Fantastic experience: OneLdn is a fantastic gym with many machines and classes suited to whatever goals you may have. The thing that sets this gym aside from any other is the staff and the community. You are always greeted with a smile and a chat when you arrive and the staff are attentive to any requirements you may have. I would highly recommend this gym.

Negative experience: Very pushy sales and money making oriented, I changed my membership because they were taking away the personal training group classes I signed up for in the first place. Then they told me I cannot use the gym and I need a personal trainer because I’m after child birth. Ridiculous! Basically they were pushing the fully paid PT and because I resisted I ended up leaving the gym altogether!

Positive experience: I tried the CONDITIONING class. Moderately intense workout, Ok but not amazing. The trainer wasnt really into it either. Wont be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I didn't use the facilities. They have a chiropractor called Richard, who's amazing at what he does.

Positive experience: I’ve been a member of this gym over a year and recently left. Gym itself and facilities are very good, would be nice to have a pool, and changing rooms are way too hot (however I think that’s because there’s a sauna in there) My main issue I had with the gym is the staff, for just under £100 a month, it’s pretty astounding to not get a hello or a smile when walking in (which is common in every other gym I’ve been a member of), and in some cases you actually get a dirty look. When asking for something from the front desk, you usually have to wait for the staff members to finish a personal chat/ look up from their phone in order to get spoken to. There is almost always some influencer recording with a tripod as well which is very off putting as I have no desire for my sweaty workout face to be in the background of tiktoks.

Negative experience: There is a dog barking by the reception in the gym.Since when are dogs allowed at the gym? Love dogs, but this is annoying and shouldn’t be happening.

Positive experience: Equipment looks and feels like new, good condition, okay ish free weights area as it felt like not enough space (6-7 ppl max). Best thing is that you can always change a shower temperature to a freezing ice cold one (really important for my health and recovery) as well as hot. Excellent martial arts area with ability to wrestle and kind of imitate “cage fight”. Nice lobby space with little caffe, not sure if they serve food but drinks, coffee and protein - yes. Lockers work weirdly as they are electric but you can get used to that. Staff is okay, polite, friendly but not invested on 100% in ppl when you come there first time (won’t offer to show you around, not a big deal but still makes an impression). Sauna is pathetic as it is as warm as my flat so you can sit there for ages and not even sweat. Overall experience was really good but for me it is a bit overpriced as comparing to Fitness First Leyton for example - £60 if I am not wrong and you get all the same but 3x times more space, great working sauna and family atmosphere over there.

Fantastic experience: Excellent environment with professional equipment, but trainers must show more public morals. After you finish your work please return the dumbbells and bar plates to their original positions.

Positive experience: Good place for work out , I was happy at first few visits until I noticed that some trainers are not polite when an individual is trying to get their chance to train they tell them not to touch the exercise machines because they give priority for those members that they train .

Fantastic experience: I got back to Montreal in the week after spending a few weeks in London. Wanting to stay in an AirBnB in Fulham as I saw there was a gym in the direct vicinity I intentionally chose to stay in the Imperial Wharf area. Little did I know what ONE LDN would be like until I showed up early one morning. Taking the 30 quid week long membership I can not speak highly enough of the place. Immediately felt at home among the members and the staff. The gym equipment was on another level, as is how they have designed and curated the entire environment. Then factor in having to work remotely there is a quite glorious area nearby reception aptly stocked with a coffee bar, chairs and benches to do just that. The entire experience was spot on, then there's the top notch location. Not a 2 minute walk to the river, and all that affords towards Chelsea Harbour. Without a shadow of a doubt ONE LDN was an integral part of my London stay, so much so I joined for a 2nd week. A big shout out to all those I met, and a bigger shout out to the staff who had to put up with me - Logan, Anita, Alice, Tom, Imo, David, James, Will F, Will P, Flossy & Trey Peace, Love + Respect Noel

Negative experience: Completely unprofessional stuff at reception ✔️ 02/02/22Wednesday morning (7:37am) girl at the reception siting and watching Instagram pictures ( she was soo busy ignoring everything around) take me a good couple minutes to get her attention! Exactly same as last year… nothing change all stuff is completely USLES! I wish to put minus stars!!! I hope Managment or HR will sort this!

Negative experience: My review is mainly about the 2 members of staff at the reception (the management) in the evenings. Not a great customer service at all. I joined on a 1 week trial membership and since the first day entering I did not like their attitude and lack of enthusiasm. They couldn't even be bothered to show me around, he just pointed with his hand, the yoga Studio is on the top right and the ladies changing room on the left side of it. Even when leaving the gym on the way out they are just looking busy on their laptops pretending they dont see you to knowledge you. Really poor service, I'm glad I did get the one week pass only and I would definitely not come to this gym again.

Fantastic experience: Plush gym which definitely channels a boutique feel. Gym is well laid out, modern with new equipment and amenities. Gym crowd for the most part is on the younger and trendy side. The only grating thing you'll see here is insta "influencers" getting trained up and videoed by their PTs - if you can look past that though you'll be alright

Negative experience: I am a pre-Covid member of Oneldn. I live at the wharf they are located and friends with a few people who used to go there lately. Sad ending everyone in the community are talking about how badly they messed up for the last couple of months not only because of no renovations they were supposed to do but also with the neighbors and council after they went into administration. Apparently now the gym is owned by St. George’s and the people working in the gym have no idea about what they are doing or going to do including the apparently poor ex-owner. Looks like the main aim is to earn money without spending. The gym is under a residential area and all neighbors who live upper flats are complaining about noise and the disturbance caused by weight dropping and music in their flats. Probably that’s because their ancient flooring as sometimes the moisture and smell hit your face when you get closer especially to the weight lifting area, so people living over them are getting affected by every class and sadly aggressively being ignored. Looks like they are just hanging there and trying to get client money as much as they can without any returns to them (like new machines, floor refurbishment etc) as the surviving point has passed already. No more video filming influencers but free and discounted classes and memberships :)) lately a good manly sweaty gym. Beware they can close the doors soon despite fancy gym tours.. Locals know everything ;)

Negative experience: UPDATED REVIEW AFTER A MANAGER'S RESPONSE BELOW: Sam, are you offering free memberships to the random people in the community or is it specific to some people from Imperial Wharf management who have a romantic relationship with one or more of your personal trainers there (YUCK!) so that he can also play the three monkeys about how you disturb your neighbors? I would look for better marketing strategies other than free classes approach, like doing the renovation WHICH WAS PROMISED BY ONELDN TO FINISH LAST SUMMER (2021), AFTER IT WAS AGREED THAT THE DISTURBANCE WAS ABOVE THE ACCEPTABLE LEVELS, of course if you guys are not 100% sure that you are closing your doors soon? ------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: Things are going south since they have gone into administration. Apparently bad business strategy and no vision. Machines are still the old ones but you can find one that is working at random times, simply because the gym is not as busy as it used to be. The people you see around are mostly given free classes/passes to make the place look busy. So if you are expecting those "big changes" written below probably by the manager as a response, just don't and look for another gym, or ask for a decent discount, or go to the shisha place around the corner for a similar crowd. Act now thank me later.

Positive experience: It's a good gym, equipment is pretty good and up to date, would get 5 starts if it had a pool. on a side issue, I do wish there was less racist and misogynistic term repeated in the music, I guess that's why most people wear ear phones. Lets try keep racism and misogyny out of sports altogether, no matter who used the terms.

Negative experience: I joined when this Place was Alex Fitness and saw the change to One London, and apart from the awesome Kim & Ivar. This is truly one of the worst places to train in London. The most narcissistic/Love Island/Made in Chelsea/Fake it till you make it, failed athlete, Insta online PTs. A truly horrible environment, a minefield of cameras, cretins in women’s wigs and Speedo’s filming ‘skit’ videos. How this place survives when 90% of its customers are freeloaders who think they are special because they have a protein discount code, or run online PT cult scams... ...You almost have to see it to believe it, so many painfully uncool z listers trying so so hard. Surely unmatched in London?

Negative experience: NONE LDN. A real poser gym. Over the years, I have sadly seen this gym go from being a decent one during the Alex Fitness years to an absolutely dreadful place full of wannabes and posers. This includes not just some of its clients but also some of its trainers. There is no regard for one's space and privacy as cameras and tripods are constantly used to pose and post on social media. Some of the trainers are cliquish, unfriendly and act like they are preparing for Mr. Olympia. The gym floor is messy and disorganised as weights and equipment are not put away in an orderly fashion. There is high turnover at the reception desk and you will need to wait for months before getting wrongful deductions refunded back to you. Do not waste your time here as there are a few other gyms that are actually real gyms with friendly staff, high quality trainers with superior equipment offering fantastic classes.

Negative experience: Awful place . After 5 years staff still doesn't know our names which is just a testament to how much they really care about anyone else that doesn't fit the 'ideal client' profile. Unless one is a pseudo celebrity or Instagram influencer members are not even greeted with a smile. If one fits that profile they can use the gym at their own leisure , pop cameras everywhere , keep posing and posting on social media , while occupying half of the gym and completely disregarding everyone else's privacy . Seems that staff is completely in awe of that but has a thing against someone new coming in and quietly training just because he or she' is not cool enough for their liking. Poorly managed gym with zero customer service with exception of Kim who is lovely and hard working. Expect to be overcharged frequently which will result in endless chasings for your refund. Staff and the owner are completely disconnected from both the business and reality and don't care much about the day to day . Sadly with business like this the fault over lies with the client and never with how the business is managed . Expect to be judged by the way you train and dress from members who feel compelled to comment on your training style and their trainers which are a tight clique mostly training and filming themselves or some local 'Influencers', Made in Chelsea types and Social Media hopefuls for their Instagram profiles. There are many other gyms that offer better customer experience and facilities. For a little extra you can go to KXU, Duo or Equinox and actually feel welcome .

Positive experience: I don't do classes, but the strength and HIIT equipment is good quality, and there is a lot of choice. Usually not too busy, and clean. The only negative is that the music is quite loud if you want to listen to your own music.

I travel frequently and use classpass to try many boutiques around the world but no other franchise has ever treated me this well. There's going above & beyond and there is OneLDN. When I forgot to bring an extra top and had to rush to a meeting they gave me one of their branded tops...for free!! Even more caring was when I nearly passed out due to low blood sugar during a yoga class, they took really good care of me and kept bringing me apples, amino acids and drinks at no cost. The customer service here is unparalleled

Negative experience: Great state-of-the-art equipment, but let down by terrible management/staff. Think Globo Gyms in Dodgeball. Handful of lovely PT's but the majority of them think they are God's gift to fitness. For the price, there are heaps of better options elsewhere. This place was brilliantly run when it first started a couple of years ago but the entire staff team back then have left, probably for good reason... UPDATE: Turns out from a recent review a few days ago that the Men's Sauna is still broken??? It has literally been out since early March. NASA manages to get pieces replaced on the ISS in a fraction of the time, so why can't they get the sauna fixed? Last time I called - before I quit the gym - the manager said they couldn't get a piece of kit for replacement. Lies, don't care and outright wrong attitude, the men's sauna fiasco seems to epitomize the management of this place.

Negative experience: If you're looking for a clean, well run, safe place to train...then stay well away .Trip hazards everywhere, used towels, messy. Music is so loud you can hear it through the best noise cancelling headphones on max volume. Also the movie making and photography is a little ott and annoying why not do it out of hours?? On the plus side, the staff are pretty cool and very friendly, the 2 stars is for them only!! But employee retention isn't great here. Unfortunately it's not enough to justify the massive fees. Probably the most over priced gym in the world, and yes I've used many gyms around the world. PureGym has better facilities, management and pricing. Must have an Instagram account to enter. Selfies and videos of your workout, constantly, are required for you to stay. Nothing gets repaired, showers have been out of order now for about a year. There are also lockers with "i'll be back soon", soon really means never here.

Management and staff are really friendly and always make you feel welcome. Ive been going here for the last two years and making good use of the wide range of classes. Really high quality trainers and small classes which means you always get a good amount of time with the trainer. Much higher standard than other gyms in London and so many brilliant classes to choose from means your training never gets boring - weight lifting, barre, mauy Thai, spin, WOD etc. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: One Ldn is a really cool facility with the best equipment and best team ever. I have trained with Gary Ward for many years now and followed him to this new gym. I could not recommend him enough. From helping me achieve the best of me, to getting me ready for my first BOXING fight as well as helping me improve my life and get rid of my repetitive injuries. He is the best, hands down!!!

Negative experience: This is the second time I have joined this gym and I now remember why I left the first time. For £70 a month (£120 with classes) this gym is the most overpriced gym I have ever experienced. At first it looks quite nice and it's appealing when you do a quick walk around. However, over time you can see the cracks come through. And this is due to absolutely no quality control and no effort in updating the equipment and facilitates. For about 5 months now 2 of the mens showers have been out of order. 3 weeks there hasn't been shampoo\gel in the showers. One of the handles of a shower door was on the floor for 3 days. There are at least 2 lockers (mens) that are broken. Oneldn have an electronic locker system using a plastic chunky key that you are issued with when you join that locks\opens the lockers and gives you access on entrance. It's really gimmicky and just really annoying when you have to carry it with you whilst you train. The lockers them selves are a really bad design and really small. I see some people carry their bags with them around the gym because it wont fit in the lockers. The equipment is average and the 'functional area' out of bounds in the evenings peak time due to classes. Side note: I noticed the other day whilst a thai boxing class was underway that the ventilation was awful. The 'musk' coming from the class was nauseating. The 'functional area' is actually quite a good space to work out in when its available, which it is most of the time and you can move a rower into the space to make your own circuit. But there is no organisation to storing the equipment. Barbells are strewn over the floor taking up space that could be used for working out (also health and safety risk) . Buy some barbell holders maybe!! One of the biggest annoyances of this gym are the people that go there. HARDLY ANYONE PUTS THEIR WEIGHTS BACK. This adds to the health and safety risk. Adding to the health and safety the lifting platform has a sheet of metal underneath that sticks up, waiting to slice the feet the fighters that go barefoot or tripping up an eager cross-fitter. One of the water fountains has been out of order for 2 weeks. I got to hand it to them, they are quick at laminating out of order signs. Thinking back a few months ago, one of the barbell cups that hold the barbell on the squat rack went missing and they didn't replace it for about 4 weeks!! I've not gone to any classes or had any personal training, but watching one of the barbell classes concerned me when people are getting dangerous guidance from the instructor. Just watching them during the class was cringing. The class should have been smaller so they could focus on form rather than reps reps reps! Wasn't even a cross fit class. There is no atmosphere at this gym but the staff are nice enough. The positives for me: convenience, it's a 1 minute walk from my door to the gym and is the only reason why I haven't left again.....yet. The sauna is very good. You can cancel anytime. Good range of weights and resistance machines, don't have to wait too long to use equipment. I sent them an email 2 days ago detailing some of my concerns and still haven't received a reply. So I can only say their customer service is also very poor. Overpriced, unkept, lack of updating equipment, no quality control, health and safety risks and hardly anyone puts their weights back. There are plenty of other gyms that offer much more at same or lower price.

Negative experience: Avoid using gary ward as a personal trainer, infact, as long as this man is associated, I would advise to stay away full stop and use an alternative gym!

Negative experience: Most of the time there is someone filming in the gym, which can get very annoying. Cant use half the equipment at peak times due to classes. It is far too overpriced for what it is. Very pretentious gym! Cancelled my membership after a week.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Literally was around the corner from my old workplace! Shannon is great for motivation! Dave Tieu is a fab teacher when it comes to Muay Thai (kickboxing)! A must go and experience!

Negative experience: It’s a good gym as long as you don’t mind getting filmed/photographed most of the time as they always have someone filming in the gym, Also don’t expect to be able to use half of the weight section that has all the racks when you want as they do lessons at peak times and weekends that exclude you from the area while they use it. With no notice in the gym of when these are on, it’s like a game of roulette when you turn up if you are able to do the workout you planned on doing. So sometimes I’m paying my membership fee for use of half the facilities... unbelievable. oh and no swimming pool. Might be looking for a new gym. :(
