Positive experience: Gym

Negative experience: Been using this gym for a while now, had to cancel due to a health issue. Manager didn’t care over the phone just wanted his money. Still charging me monthly when I called to cancel due to a serious injury. Avoid.

Fantastic experience: Decent gym. Spacious and clean. Equipment is varied but all you need for a complete workout. Good weights area and cardio area. Showers and toilets on site.Also free carpark

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for a number of years and find it a lovely little gym, bit like Goldilocks as not too big and not too small just right for me. The gym itself like most gyms does have its busy periods but if you’re flexible you can easily find quite times, but saying that it’s never too busy that you can’t train or find equipment to use. The classes are also very good and I especially enjoy the group cycle, they used to do a Myzone class that is sadly it’s not being done atm but hopefully they’ll bring that back in the future.

Positive experience: I have been a member of Snap Fitness Exeter for approximately 4 years now, there is always a welcoming atmosphere regardless of your fitness or the frequency that you attend and there is a good selection of equipment. I also enjoy the amount of space there is upstairs where I can put together my own circuit/HIIT routine if the studio isn't being used for a class. The recently updated class timetable (including Box Fit, Pilates and Legs, Bums and Tums) is a welcome addition to add variety to the week's workout!

Positive experience: A nice and friendly gym. I am having a member of this gym for nearly two years now. Staff are friendly and helpful and members are generally easy going and nice. Good selection of equipment, it does get busy at before 7pm but after that it is really quiet. I have been a member at a few gyms in exeter, but have found this place to provide exactly what is needed and at a reasonable price. There are classes here also, although I have never been to any. Have standard target such as body pump, cycling and abs sessions.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant! Just signed up after a long break from looking after myself. Good kit, well maintained and clean, with all you would need. I am working a guy with a brain injury, who has also signed up and he was welcomed and really liked the setup.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, nice and clean. Easy to get a full workout in compared to other places!

Positive experience: Lovely gym. Not the biggest but tons of equipment. Was very quiet and enjoyed the session there.

Negative experience: This is not a criticism of the Exeter gym or the staff there, but a criticism of the company as a whole (Snap Fitness). I am writing this review 02/09 having paid my monthly subscription for September. I have been a member since Jan 2019 (so the best part of four years) and despite my loyalty I have been told that Snap Fitness need a full calendar month to process my membership cancellation and therefore, the 29 days between now and October 1st are not sufficient, and thus I will be charged for October as well. They have not provided a valid reason for needing a full calendar month to cancel my payments (probably a case of computer says no). Given that everything nowadays is digitalized and can be performed at the click of a button, I am incredibly disappointed a large corporate such as Snap Fitness aren't in touch with the modern world or their members, and aren't willing to 'go the extra mile' to action such a simple request, and I warn people to think twice before signing up.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Snap 24/7 Exeter for a while now. It's really clean, it has a calm and friendly atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. There are some great classes and the personal training is of a high standard.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym with everything I need! A good variety of equipment which is always kept clean and tidy. The gym is a good size and is never too busy. There is a good variety of fitness classes which are all great and suitable for people at all levels. The staff are fun, friendly and really supportive. I have PT sessions with Jade who is AMAZING and she is fully supporting me to reach my goals. I am fairly new to Exeter and I couldn't have asked for a better gym to join.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with service received today. No staff were on duty unfortunately but Pani, a member of staff who was in the gym but on a day off, helped me cancel my membership (due to relocation). He even phoned the area manager to help sort some of the administration. Can’t ask for better than that, he went above and beyond. Top work!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time in Snap Fitness Exeter, it was also my first time in Devon, Kieran has given me a great first impression of both, he was very professional, attentive & welcoming, I’ll definitely return and if i lived locally this would be my home gym

Fantastic experience: The staff are really friendly and welcoming every single time you visit. Good range of equipment and able to use your phone to track your progress which is great. Range of cardo equipment is fit with social media and YouTube so you can plug in your headphones while going for a run. It's not intimidating to go in the weights area either like it is with some gyms, other members are nice and friendly or just getting on with their own thing. It's never overcrowded and you never have to wait for a machine. Highly recommended for a gym in Exeter.

Fantastic experience: Good gym! Fairly quieter compared to some Other gyms which I prefer, don’t have to wait around for weights and staff are friendly, gym manager is very polite and friendly. Personal trainers available In gym if that’s what you’re into or if you know how to workout just crack on and enjoy it. 5/5 highly recommend this gym

Negative experience: The atmosphere is awful!!! Staff at first is nice but after a while they became rude therefore I have cancelled my membership and joined another gym!!!! Avoid as it's expensive and not good at all!!!!

Fantastic experience: Really great atmosphere gym. The equipment isn't old and is all brand new with no signs of repeated sweaty abuse. The staff are super friendly and more than happy to assist and give advice when needed The showers have a little to be desired and the music is flipping horrendous in my opinion (I prefer metal)

Positive experience: Nice gym. Clean, good kit, nice staff. There's a bug in the cancellation process though: cancellation requests *only* count once you have completed their cancellation form on-site as a matter of policy - emails you sent mean essentially nothing. Only the form counts. Also they won't send you a cancellation form unless you're "isolating". They insist you come in to the gym to fill out the form ‍♂️ so you'll be scribbling away on the counter instead of filling in the form at your leisure.

Fantastic experience: Just visited snapfitness today for a little change to my local gym, I was very impressed with how well tidy and kept clean the gym was. A good range of equipment and also the club manager I believe, was very friendly and approachable with nothing any hassle. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Not a bad gym but the way the club handles your membership is ridiculous. I had cancelled my membership as per the clubs request and filled put the relevant paperwork which THEY lost money still continued to come out of my bank until I called and they froze my account whilst I was travelling. Out of the blue my subscription has started again without my acknowledgement yet again !! Be very careful and I would be very cautious of signing there forms.........

Negative experience: WARNING If you attempt to leave this gym you must also be sure to CANCEL YOUR CARD as they WILL TAKE UNAUTHORISED PAYMENTS. I submitted my cancelation form to them in January 2018 and have just found out they have continued to take payments from me every month, not visa debit payments but actual card payments. My bank have advised that I need to now cancel and get a new card as this is the only way to stop them taking payments from me. When I went into the gym to try and sort this out they said they would look for the form and told me to come back in half an hour, when I got back they “couldn’t find” the cancellation form I had given them in January. I was rudely told by the area manager that “anyone could say they filled out a form”, insinuating that I was trying to fleece them out of money.. They’re the ones that have been taking un-authorised card payments from me each month(!) Snap Fitness are now trying to charge me for another month as per the 30 day cancellation policy. I have written a formal complaint; I am hopeful that they will refund all the payments they have taken without my authorisation, as I am not paying for their staff’s incompetence.

Negative experience: Staff are good. Atmosphere isn't very friendly & they play AWFUL remixed dubstep music/noise. Sort it out Snap.

Negative experience: If I could give Snap Fitness in Exeter 0 stars then I would. Absolutely shocking customer service. Repeated charges even after cancellation and refusing to acknowledge their mistakes leaving me out of pocket. Vile company that don’t care about their customers at all. Avoid like the plague!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. Plenty of cardio equipment: treadmills, bikes, crosstrainers, however only 1 rower. 1 squat rack, 1 power cage with platform. Bench press, incline press, leg press and plenty of machines. Dumbbells go up to 44kg.
